Report Picture Format

With the VI 'Image in Header or Footer.vi' I want to append a picture to my LabVIEW report. Does somebody know what kind of picture file types work with this VI? I would prefere an eps or tif graphic. When I append a bitmap image the quality is very poor- especially for printing afterwards. And is it possible to define the dimensions of the image?
Working with Excel Templates and ActiveX was much better. But I have to find a good solution without Windows software. I got along with the report generation toolkit, but the images are very unsatisfying.
thanks for any tip!
dave

Ok, I took a look at the VI.  Are you using this VI with a Standard Report or an HTML Report?  With the HTML report, you can attach whatever kind of picture you want, and the VI just sticks an img tag in the HTML with the path to the image file.  With the Standard Report, all that happens is that the AppendPictureFromFile method is called, and I believe this method allows PNG, JPG, and GIF file formats.
If you're still having problems, could you perhaps attach a simple VI (and image file) that demonstrates the poor graphics problem you're referring to?

  • Changing Oracle Report Output Format at runtime

    Dear All,
I've custom Oracle Report in Oracle Apps., and would like to give the users an option to select the output format (XML, TEXT, PDF, etc.) whilst submitting the request.
As a SYSADMIN, we can modify the Output Format value of the concurrent program(Oracle Report in this case) to one we like.
But I would like the user to select this output format option at runtime, rather then hard coding at SYSADMIN level. For that I've to create a Value Set with the desired report output format options, and attach this to the concurrent program.
My question is, how we can make the desired output format to work at runtime?
    If any one can help?
    Thanks,
    Sandeep

    Hi Steve,
    I couldn't get it...???
I'm running an Oracle Report in Oracle Apps. release 11.5.9
The default output format of this report is TEXT, which is defined in its concurrent program.
This report is submitted using standard request submission screen, and after successful completion we can view the output by pressing "View Output" button on "Requests" screen. This will open an another window and we can view the output page by page. Using "Tools>Copy File..." menu option, we can view the same output in IE window.
Now, how does your resolution fits here and how can I view the same report in XML format?
    Many Thanks,
    Sandeep

  • SAP report print formats

    Hi!
There are several report print formats in an ABAP report. You can choose between them during printing, some examples: X_65_80 (80 columns, 65 lines), X_90_120 (120 columns, 90 lines) and so on...
Is there away to define more "standard" like printer formats?
I know, I can give anything after the REPORT statement (like REPORT zreport LINE-SIZE 99 LINE-COUNT 99) but these are not standard and mostly the printers don1t like them.
    Thank you in advance
    Tamá

    Hi Tamas,
When you run the report, the spool will be displayed on the screen. At this time, click on print, the system will show the print dialog. Click on properties, this will spool request attribites dialog. Click settings. in the next dialog box, select the required field, and the value and select the validity as required. This way you can set the standard format for all reports.

@trevorbutler -  Could you send us what version of Ant you're using and a  sample of how you're using the <junit> Ant task?  Additionally,  can you validate that the example you gave for the JUnit output is from  the <junit> Ant task and not the <junitreport> task?  Could you also let us know which version of JUnit you used with Ant, just in case?
FWIW - The XML output that you see from running tests in JUnit via the <junit> Ant task is output that has been defined without specification by the folks at Apache Ant.  There has been a lot of discussion on standardizing the output amongst the folks at TestNG, the Maven Surefire plugin and others, but I haven't seen anything standardized come out of that.  Here is a wiki page that has some of that discussion http://wiki.apache.org/ant/Proposals/EnhancedTestReports.  t's also important to note, that the aggregate results of the <junitreport> task contain a slight variation on the output produced by the <junit> task.  Consequently, we have to emulate the lowest common denominator that we know will work with the tools out there that parse the XML output associated with an xUnit framework (e.g. - Ant tasks, CI server, etc).  This being said, we rely on the community to keep us up to date with variations that we may have missed or for which need to update.  It's not so much that we've decided to exclude any particular elements from the output, we just need help fine tuning as time goes on.
    Thanks for the help.

  • Non-Interactive Report Break Formatting

I have a non-interactive report that is very large and I am trying to use break formatting to provide subtotals. It works, but is quite ugly. Can anyone tell me where I might find a list of the various substitution strings that can be used for controlling the appearance of the breaks? For example, right now when it breaks for a change in "Payor Name", the subtotal row is labeled "Total for Payor Name". It would be much friendlier if the row label said "Total for Aetna" when Aetna is the Payor Name and "Total for Cigna" when the Payor Name is Cigna, etc. For example

  • Crystal reports and formatted reporting.

    hi experts,
i have a clarification about  crystal reports and formatted reporting.in what scenarios they are used..
    points ll be rewarded...
    thanks
    baskar

    Hi ,
Crystal Reports is a powerful, dynamic, actionable reporting solution that helps you design, explore, visualize, and deliver reports via the web or embedded in enterprise applications. It enables end users to consume reports with stunning visualizations, conduct on-report business modeling, and execute decisions instantly from the report itself—reducing dependency on IT and developers.
The report can then be previewed on the screen, printed onto paper or exported to one of several different file formats such as PDF, Excel, text or CSV.
It is also possible to run a Crystal Report without using the full Crystal Reports designer software. These alternate methods for running reports include locally installed viewers, schedulers, and report distribution tools. These are typically third-party software programs (independent of Business Objects) that allow you to open, refresh, preview, print and export an RPT file. In 2007 Business Objects released their own viewer, Crystal Reports Viewer XI, but unlike the independent viewers it does not allow the user to refresh the report, but only to view static data saved in the RPT file.
    Thnx,
    Srinivas

    Hi,
I have seen "Report Document Format" in many Oracle Report Developer's job adverts. Following is an example.
"Skills & Experience Required, Oracle Reports Developer - expert level, Report Document Format (RDF) - must have extensive knowledge in this area. Java Development, Working with Oracle Databases and good Communication Skills."
My question is what is "Report Document Format"? I hope it is different from RDF (Report Definition File).

  • Turn word PDF to picture format PDF

    Hi,
I have asked before how to make PDF content not copyable, now that I am able to do that. But my boss said it is a contract, so he don't want people to be able to copy and search in the PDF. So I suggested to make the contract in picture format, so that people cannot search in it, at least that is what my boss want. I simply just use the snap shot button (Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional) highlight the page, then create PDF from clipboard image, but because i can only create one PDF from that snapshot page, so that the contract have 20 pages, I need to do that 20 times, and combine the PDFs, it takes me like 5-10min to do a 20 pages contract, but my boss said he would prefer to click a button and that the words can be converted to image format, or a easier way to do it, so I wonder if there is a way for that.
    Thanks,
    Alex

  • Interactive Report - Break formatting style

    Hi All,
Is there a way to make Interactive reports break format work/look like classic reports break format? i.e.1st,2nd,3rd column option. The way IR breaks is that is reserves a whole row for the column used in the break, which is not what I want, I want the report to look like the following:
    city               emp           sal
    Chicago     John Miller  1500
                     Mark Horton 2000
    Denver       Rob Martino 1200
I tried to use rollup queries which work fine except that it does not do exactly what I want when I sort columns through the front end , I am basically displaying a check box for grouped records ( and I want it to display at the first record of each group), so the order is important. for example:
    checkbox   City               emp           sal
    [ ]               Chicago     John Miller    1500
                                      Mark Horton  2000
    [ ]              Denver       Rob Martino  1200
    Thanks,
    Sam

would someone please confirm if this is doable/undoable at least? I've spend a lot of time exploring possible options (none worked) and it would really help if someone can help me saving some time.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Picture formatting as part of a style?

Is it possible to have picture formatting (Picture border style & color, effects, etc) as part of a Style in Word 2010 or 2013?

You can't save the look of a picture border in a style, but note that some settings, such as border colors, will depend on the current theme color(s), if that helps.

  • Scheduled Reports Output Format

    Dear All,
Does anyone know how I can schedule WEBI reports in the same formats as crystal reports? I currently use BOXI r3.
The current WEBI options are only:
    Web Intelligence
    Excel
    Adobe Acrobat
    Where the crystal options are:
    MS Excel
    MS Word
    PDF
    RTF
    TXT
    TTX
    CSV
    XML
I need to be able to schedule a series of WEBI reports in csv & txt formats to an FTP location.
    Thanks in advance,
    Stuart

I believe the only option for WEBI reports output formats are Web Intelligence, Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
We have been having problems with scheduled reports output format in Excel. WEBI report's page layout is set to Legal and Landscape. But, MS Excel does not keep the same WEBI page layout margins for legal and landscape, and the report does not fit to page on Excel. WEBI formatting works best on Adobe Acrobat.
We opened a ticket with SAP... their response was it is a known issue with no solution.

  • Report Break Formatting

Can someone please point me to examples of using the various report break formatting options under Report Attributes? Screenshots of this in action using various options would be highly appreciated.
The online field help (http://tinypic.com/m8z920.jpg) is not enough to fully understand the capabilities provided.
    Thanks.

This is from: Linnemeyer, Lawrence C., and Bradley D. Brown. <u>Oracle HTML DB Handbook</u>. Emeryville, CA: McGraw-Hill/Osborne, 2006. 222-224.<br><br>
This description taken directly from the book and is for version 2.0. <br><br>
Limitations: "...Only break on one, two, or three columns, and they must be the first columns in the report. The second limitation is that you are fairly restricted in formatting the breaks." <br><br>
"The Break Formatting section of the Report Attribute page provides the input fields for controlling report breaks. The first field, Display This Text When Printing Report Sums, is always active and is used whenever you select the Sum check box for a numeric column in the Report Column Attributes section. If you do not provide text in this field, the HTML DB engine will automatically include the label "report total:". The Breaks field defaults to No Breaks and allows you to select to break the report on the first column, the first and second columns, or the first, second, and third columns. Once you select a value other than No Breaks, the remainder of the columns will be enabled. <br><br>
The next field, Display This Text on Report Breaks Using #SUM_COLUMN_HEADER# Substitutions, is the way you can format what is displayed when a report breaks to show subtotals. If you leave the field blank, the HTML DB engine will automatically display on the break rows “<i>columnheading</i> total:”. You can customize what is displayed using this field. Use the substitution variable #SUB_COLUMN_HEADER# to reference the header of the break column. Unfortunately, the current version (version 2.0 at time of printing) does not allow you to reference the value of the break column. <br><br>
The first and last field in the center section of the Break Formatting section can be used to format a row before and after the break row, respectively. Unfortunately, with the way they are currently implemented, you must provide the complete HTML code for the row. For instance, if your report has five columns, you would enter something like: <br><br>
    < t r >< t d >first col< / t d >< t d colspan = “3” >< t d >last col< / t d >< / t d >< / t r >
    <br><br>
The center field is used to format the actual break column. The formatting entered needs to be the HTML for a column and can use the #COLUMN_VALUE# substitution variable, like this: <br><br>
    < t d align=right >#COLUMN_VALUE#< / t d >
    <br><br>
Note that all the columns in the row will have the formatting applied to them. <br><br>
The final two fields provide you two different options for displaying the first column break. The field Identify How You Would Like Your Breaks to be Displayed has two possible values: Default Break Formatting and Repeat Headings on Break. The Repeat Headings on Break option causes the first breaking column to be reported as a heading with the column headings for all the remaining columns repeated after each break.”<br><br>
    Thanks,
    Joe
