i ve a button on form named print. i want to print report by clicking on this button. i need the code for it.

hello,
i asume we are talking about an oracle forms form. check out the example for run_report_object in the forms documentation. all you need to do is to use destype=printer and the associated values for desname and desformat to send the report directly to a printer that is known on the middle tier.

If u execute the MB5B report u can see the Opening Stock,Total Receipt Qties,
Total Issue Quties,Closing Stock .
If u take a Print out directly from SAP then the Lines are coming Hazy if the stock Exist.Other wise it will come Clear.
What is Guess is that as Different Colours are there for Opening,closing that's why it is Coming in such a Way??

Background job report printout

Hi all,
we are facing the spool issue with background scheduling and foreground.
If i run any report in foreground, the printout is coming in one page perfectly but if we scheduled the report in background, printouts are splitted into different pages.
i want the printout should be come in one page after completing the background job. please give your suggestions.

At present we are scheduling reports through background job. Every 65 lines(rows) the data like column names and headers are repeating in every page. i do not require this column names. The entire data should be displayed in single page without any names etc.,
my requirement
i want to print 1000 rows in a page without any page breaks. For this what are the steps i need to take care. please help me

Classical report printout

Hi,
I created a classical report in that the output which display i want to take a printout.here i my case if i give print it is not taking.even i tryed in the SP01 it created a spool request only i cannot take the printout.so hoe to solve this issue

Some one help me to get the printout of my report.i tryed above all methods like when i give a print it asking the output device i given lp01afthe that i got the message Spool request (number 0000017933) created without immediate output.then open the transaction SP02 and tick that spool no and again i given the print here.then i got the message output request created.but i cant get the printout in my printer.But other files in PC i can take printout wityhout any problem.pls help me to solve the issue.

URL coming in bottom of page in report printout

One doubt i have is that when i take the printout of the report from Internet Explorer(6.0), there is a URL of the report shown at the bottom. To remove this, once i have to go to Internet Explorer page setup and change the header and footer to blank. So, all my users have to do this once. Now, my question is whether i can set this programmatically through reports so that one doesn't have to go and change this in Internet Explorer Page Setup manually.
Please help me in this as it is very urgent.

I've heard of IE Admistration Kit (IEAK). It is a set of tools that can be used to enforce some sort of restrictions/rules on the usage of IE by the clients. I should admit I never tried doing this. I, however, understand that this can be deployed on end-user's machines in a batch process without having to deal with individual machines.

Report Printout Through APPS 11.5.5

I have report in Report 6i, and through this report is running fine and page setting is proper, but when I placed this report in APPS 11.5.5 it is running fine but when I try to take printout on printer it is not skipin on next page according to setting.

Crystal Report .printout method fails intermittently with no trace

Hi,
We have crystal 11 Developer edition installed version 11.0.0.895.
At client side we are facing abrupt failure while calling the .printout() method on crystal object when accessing from VB 6.0.This doesn't happen all the time , the same report prints fines after couple of attempts.
I tried putting the errorhandlers but in vain; the control comes out mentioning "method ~ of ~ failed" at application level and the last trace that I am getting is the one just prior to .printout method call.
We have object cleaning in place in the VB project which is trying to call this object.
Printers that we are trying to use is Xerox 4015
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am facing the problem when we are taking printout of multiple invoices ( each record in one page ) using telnet.
Main problem is that it is skipping to next page after printing the each invoice.
That too it is not skipping entire page, but it is printing at the end of the next page.
Page break ( Printer Control Character is coming into the next page).
But it is coming page by page properly in the ORACLE 6i Reports viewer.

The problem is not with the Report i believe its with the Printdef file in solaris
Go to the printer directory and look for printdef file and u got to modify certain parameters

Form Feeder is not working in report printout

Hi Can any one help me in solving this problem.
I am working with reports 10g and TVS HD 945 dot matrix printer.
the paper size is 12 X 8, when i print the report, in the next page is not having the same header space as the first one.
Do i have to make some changes to the printer ?

hi,
i have a button on report named 'print'. i want to print report through form by passing values and parameters through form without opening that report? how it could be possible?
example: i am viewing employee data. i want to print through form the detail of any employee i.e. empno 7839.the report is in specific format.

You can print directly from the application server with destype=printer.

A requirement is that all the printers in your network, that you want to use for printing, have to known on the AS.

Fields missing while printing crystal reports !!

Hello everyone
I have a crystal report application in VB.NET 2005, which gets the values of a field from the database and supports printing of the report in the following formats
1. pdf
2. directly to a printer - printout
When i export the report using reportdocument to pdf , all the fields are getting printed : Normal - As expected
But when i print the report directly using PrintToPrinter method,i am not able to print some of the fields. i.e some of the entries are missing in that report printout
Can someone guess what could be the problem ???
Are there any limitations / preconfigurations that needs to be done apart from setting page size,margin before using the PrintToPrinter method

OK, a few incongruencies here:
I'm using the version of the Crystal Reports that ships along with the Visual Studio.NET 2005.
- that would make is CR 10.2
We have also tried applying the latest service packs crxir2_sp4_full_build
- So SP 4 for CR XI release 2 would not do you much good as per above (if you are indeed using CR 10.2(?))
- How did you get to the crxir2_sp4_full_build? This is in a gated section of the SAP website. The only publically available SP 4 for CR XI r2 is "incremental... If you did apply crxir2_sp4_full_build, then you are working with CR XI r2 now...
The behavior is seen in the web application and the behavior is seen both in the dev and deployment system.
- So this does not work anywhere? If so, why bother going to deployment?
Also i tried exporting to pdf soon before / after printing. But the fields are present in the pdf and not on the printouts
- Confirm that you do see the fields on an exported PDF and when you print the PDF you get a blank printout?
More clarification needed:
We need to be absolutely clear on what version of Crystal Reports you are using. Open your .NET project, go to your references and look for CrystalDecisions.Crystalreports.Engine.dll. What version is this assembly?
Also, please answer the rest of the questions above.

However, can you please let us know if the fields which are missing in the print out, what is their data type and what is the printer type (prefrably the printer name and model number).

Difference between pdf and html report format

Why HTML report printouts truncate from the right-end side, compare to the pdf report format ?, do i need to change anything
while running report through HTML format

The printing from html output is majorly affected by browser settings. Once you try to change the left and right margins in page setup before printing, I solved this problem in this way , it may work for you. Let me know if it works or if you overcome it by other ways.
