Report problem after 3.0.9.8.4

Hello,
I have a problem at creating and editing reports after 3.0.9.8.4 patch. My reports doesn't go when I use the DECODE function.
Here is an example:
select
R.pers_el_free, R.id_reg, S.sport_name, decode(R.sport_spec,'V' ,'register') as "COLUMN"
from ===================================
[email protected] R,
where
.... some bind variables
reports are ok without the DECODE part, but with the decode part it shows:
Error:
Unable to execute function: PORTAL30.wwv_utlbuild.parse_query (WWV-15000)
Does anybody know, how to use the decode function without problems???
help would be appreciated.
Ales Hrncarek ([email protected])

Applied patch (p2567445) in development environemnt; didn't help! Now getting: ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error (WWV-11230) when attempting to use decode function as in:
select log_date,
decode(hour_type,'B', 'Business Hours', 'A', 'All Hours', 'N', 'Non-Business Hours', hour_type),
wu_ps_id,
organization
from web_services.wu_popular_sites
where log_date = :report_month
order by hour_type, wu_ps_id
No brain surgery here, just trying to use a simple query to produce a portal report. However, I would like to get another report running that uses additional built-in functions:
select wau.log_date,
wau.hour_type,
rownum,
substr(nvl(bu.oracle_login, bu.nds_user_name)
||' ('||bu.name||' - '
||substr(wau.nds_user_name,
instr(wau.nds_user_name,'.')+1,
instr(wau.nds_user_name,'.',1,2)-(instr(wau.nds_user_name,'.')+1))||')',1,35),
to_char(wau.active_hh, '9990')||':'||ltrim(to_char(wau.active_mi, '00'))||':'||ltrim(to_char(wau.active_ss, '00'))
from wu_active_users wau, bl_user bu
where nvl(bu.oracle_login, bu.nds_user_name) = substr(wau.nds_user_name, 1, instr(wau.nds_user_name,'.')-1)
order by wau.hour_type, wau.active_hh desc, wau.active_mi desc, wau.active_ss desc
Again, not the most demanding query but I get nowhere on this one ("The page cannot be found").
Does anyone know if I'm missing something concerning patch. I'm on portal v30984.

  • AWR report problem after cluster node switch.

Hello all. I have some strange problem, can any one advice what to do....
I have OracleDB (Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.3.0 on Solaris x86_64), we have two server nodes and one shared storage attached to them, db is running on node1 and if it dies db will be switched to node2, classic cluster.
Some time ago we tested this switching, so i shut downed db and switch it to node2, and startup it there (oracle_homes are identical), every thing was ok, soo i switched it back to node1. But now i can't run awrrpt.sql or awrinfo.sql, it gives error like this:
    Using the report name awrinfo.txt
    No errors.
create or replace package body AWRINFO_UTIL as
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
    No errors.
    ERROR:
    ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE
    And in alert log:
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [SIGSEGV] [Address not mapped to object] [509] [] [] []
I tried to drop AWR with catnoawr.sql and recreate it with catawrtb.sql, everything seems to be fine, but still can't run awrrpt.sql or awrinfo.sql, same error.
Any one familiar with such problem ?
    Thanks for advice.

I understand that I provided less than satisfactory amount of info.
    So here is more.
I am installing the two node cluster and during scinstall one of the nodes is being rebooted
and goes through (what I am suppose to be) an initial configuration. At the very end of the
boot process there is a message
obtaining access to all attached disksAt this point the boot disk activity LED is lit constantly. After some longish timeout
the following message is printed to console
NOTICE: /pci@0,0/pci1014,2dd@1f,2: port 0: device reset
    WARNING: /pci@0,0/pci1014,2dd@1f,2/disk@0,0 (sd1):

         Sense Key: No Additional Sense
ASC: 0x0 (no additional sense info), ASCQ: 0x0, FRU: 0x0and the disk activity LED is turned off. After that nothing more happens. The system isn't
hard hang, since the keyboard is working, and it responds to ping, but other than that
    nothing seems to be functioning.
I understand that diagnosing such a problem isn't easy, but I am willing to invest some
time into getting it working. I would rally appreciate some help with this issue.

  • MS Office Report problems after compliing (application builder)

I'm finishing up an application that includes several MS office reports (opens a MS Word template). The template is opened, the bookmarks are filled, then the file is saved (to our internal network) as a .doc file. The New Report.vi is used to open the .doc file, the Print Report.vi is used to print the file, then the SMTP send file.vi is used to email the file.
Everything has been working fine then I decided to build the application for distribution. Big mistake! An installer is made. When I install the application I get "File not found" (error 7) errors each time I attempt to run this section of code. Incidentally, This app. also uses the SQL database toolset to read and write to a database. No problems with the database.
I thought it might have something to do with the Word templates being on the network. I copied everything to my local PC and built another application. Same problems.
I suspect I'm doing something wrong in the Source Files tab of the Build Application or Shared library window.
    I'd really appreciate your help.
    thanks,
    todd

    Todd,
You need to add a dynamic VI to your list of Source Files in the Build Application window. The one you need is called "_Word Dynamic VIs", and it can be found at \vi.lib\addons\_office\-wordsub.llb . Doing this ensures that the executable can find the appropriate code when it is asked to dynamically load some Word-related VIs at execution-time.
I consider the difficulty of getting everything right when building executables to be just about the biggest problem that LabVIEW has, so don't feel too badly about it. I believe this requirement is covered somewhere in the Report Generation Toolkit documentation, but I think the process should be easier and more transparent to the user when they are working with NI-produced toolkits.

  • EPSI Dashboard problem after moving from reporting services 2005 to 2012

I have created a Dashboard with Allscripts EPSI with a Reporting Services Report.  After we changed from Micrsosoft Reporting Services 2005 to 2012, the report now gets cut in half.  I turned a ticket in to Allscripts and they said that it had
nothing to do with their software, that it had something to do with a setting on our Reporting Services server.  Please point me into the right direction.

    Hi Jason,
Based on my understanding, after you move the report from Reporting Services 2005 to Reporting Services 2012, the report can’t display well.
In Reporting Services, upgrading a report definition in SQL Server Data Tools is the only way to upgrade the .rdl file. In your scenario, if the .rdl file isn’t upgraded in the new environment, it’s expected that the report won’t display well. So please
open an .rdl file in Report Designer in SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) within the new environment, then the Report Designer will automatically create a backup file and upgrades the report to the current namespace. After a report is upgraded, you might notice
additional errors, warnings, and messages. This is the result of changes to the internal report object model and processing components, which cause messages to appear when underlying problems in the report are detected.

If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

    Hello,
Do you use the Oracle Forms builtin WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT ?
If yes , take a look to : "IE7 windows opened and closed immediatly"
    http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Internet_Email/Web_Browsers/Internet_Explorer/Q_23304982.html
You can test the solution suggested :
We have found the setting that we needed, under the Internet Options
Security tab, if you select the internet zone, and click the custom level
button, then scroll down to the Downloads section, the first option is
Automatic prompting for file downloads, setting this to enable keeps IE 7
from interfering with this sort of download.

  • Multiple Samsung Stratosphere problems after FF1 update

There have been multiple posts on various issues users have found after the recent Stratopshere FF1 update.  Some were replys to older posts and some only touched on a single issue.  I wanted to consolodate into one thread, and hopefully get teh attention of Verizon to maybe reply here.
For reference, a lot has been discuss here --> https://community.verizonwireless.com/message/874446
Summary:  Verizon and Samsung have finally updated the Stratosphere almost 1 year after release.  This updated the phone from Android 2.3.5 to Android 2.3.6.  Going by filename, this is known as the FF1 update.   This update went live at the end of August 2012, and most users were upgraded before mid September 2012.
There were some noticable changes in this update:
-Lock screen has changed.  The puzzle piece and glass lock options have been removed.  New options have been added, such as facial recognition unlock.
-Call answering screen has changed, introducing the option to ignore call with a message.
-Camera now has digital zoom ability.
-Ability to uninstall the 2 games the phone comes with (Need for Speed and Lets Golf)
-Phone icon has changed ever so slightly
-Wifi icon now included up and down arrows to indicate data is being sent or recieved
-Wallpaper no longer "stretches" over multiple screens - ie, it no longer scrolls as you move from screen to screen
-The visual voicemail app has been improved (I have personally not used this feature)
-Callback number is now supported in text / picture messages
-Android core OS updated from 2.3.5 to 2.3.6 (both versions are still Gingerbread)
-Update to how the device deals with the end of scrolling.  It used to rubber-band bounce back, now it will just give a green bar and expand the bar as you scroll.  (I cannot fault Samsung for this change as this was at teh core of an Apple lawsuit and has been changed in newer versions of Android.)
-(I am sure there are more.  please list any others you may have noticed)
I have found some problems, and others have confirmed that this is (at least) somewhat widespread:
-The biggest problem is with wifi connectivity.  Upon an initial connection to wifi, everything works great.  After somewhere between 15minutes and 2 hours, problems start happening.  Its as if the wifi keeps hanging or reconnecting.  Download speeds (tested with the SpeedTest.com app) slow to about one third of normal.  Apps like Facebook that require a constant connection will just time out.
-It appears the signal strength for 3g and 4g connections is lower.  There are places where I used to get a 4g connection, and now I only get 3g.  Some palces I fall back to just 2g digital.
Another minor issue i found was with text messages.  When you reply to a message, it no longer automatically focuses the text in the input box.  You have to first click into the box to start typing.  Not a huge deal, but one more step to take over and over.  Minor annoyence.
At my house, I struggle to get a 3g or 4g signal.  I depend on wifi for my data connection.  So with the wifi connection problem introduced by teh FF1 update, my phone is somewhat useless to me now while at home.  Here are teh troubleshooting steps I have been through so far to attempt to fix the wifi problem:
-Complete factory reset on my phone.  (did not help)
-Pull battery and SIM card out of phone for 15 minutes.  (did not help)
-Went to a Verizon store.  The guy at the store was helpful, and said he also had a Stratosphere and was getting the same wifi problems after the update.  He said all he could do was to send me out a replacement phone. I got the replacement phone, and it had the same problems.
-I read in multiple palces that Android 2.3.6 has a bug within wifi and DHCP.  Apparently if you have a DHCP lease set to "forever", the phone will keep requesting a new address.  Setting the DHCP server on the router to something like 2 weeks, or using a static IP is supposed to solve this.  I have a NetGear N900 router, and I can not change teh DHCP lease time.  It appears, however, that my router is not sending out "forever" leases.  But just to make sure, I gave my phone a static IP.  (None of these steps made any difference).
The only thing that temporarily fixes the problem is a reboot of the phone.  This will again give you anywhere from 15min to 2 hours of good wifi use before problems start happening.
I have now had this update for over a week, and on 2 phones.  I still can't maintain a wifi connection for much longer than 15 minutes without problems starting up.
I am asking Verizon or Samsung to at least confirm this issue if possible.  Maybe there are newer revs of the Stratopshere hardware that don't have this problem.  Or there is something unique about my (and apparently others) situation.  But it seems like Verizon's current stance is to offer a repalcement phone (as currently all Stratospheres are within their 1 year manufacture warranty as the phone has not been ouy for quite 1 year yet).
I am asking for a workaround for this problem, or a true fix adressed by a new software update, or at least allow us to roll back to the original Andorid 2.3.5 software.
I have had my original Stratosphere for almost a year with no wifi problems - then get the FF1 update and have had nothing but problems on 2 different phones.
    Thank you for your time.

Thanks for starting a comprehensive thread on problems with this update. I want to add one more.
I have Bluetooth in my car (a 2004 model), and previously the phone has connected to it practically instantly when I start the car. Since the update, I have never been able to connect the phone to the car by Bluetooth. Several times the phone has made a standard notification sound at the moment it should be connecting to Bluetooth, though no notification appears. I have no idea what that could mean. The car's Bluetooth shows up as paired in the list of devices in Settings > Wireless & networks > Bluetooth settings. I haven't seen this widely reported as an update issue, but perhaps some others have experienced it too.
UPDATE: I finally did some testing, and found that the notification was to signal the extremely brief appearance of a dialog indicating that the car's Bluetooth was requesting a connection. Accepting that request let the phone connect with the car, and calls went to the car's sound system as they should. When I turned the car off and back on (just the electrical system; not wasting any gas on this!), the connection was established immediately, so apparently the acceptance only had to be done once. Nevertheless, it did have to be done, and the dialog notification disappears within seconds. I believe it would have been possible to go into Bluetooth settings and accept the connection request there if I missed the notification; but not seeing the notification, I might not know to do this.
One further observation: When I turned the phone's Bluetooth off and back on after a connection had been established, leaving the car on the whole time, the two did not reconnect. I believe that may be different from before the update, but I'm not really sure.

  • Computer problems after upgrading to Mavericks

SO many problems. I cleared out a ton of old stuff that I saw might be causing problems, and I've verified and repaired the disc, and uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of programs that I was seeing problems with in the console, but now I'm just flummoxed. It's behaving better than it was earlier, and isn't giving me the beach ball nearly so often, but it still seems like it's taking too long for a lot of things. I just reinstalled Avast and am currently letting a game update through Steam. I have the console and the activity monitor open to one side. Since I opened the console, it's been spitting out one or two messages every second, and all I can find through some internet searching is that it's something to do with the wireless connection. There's some other stuff periodically mixed in that doesn't sound good either, involving either sandboxd or mdworker. But for the most part it's along these lines:

    I just reinstalled Avast
"Avast" is perhaps the worst of the whole wretched lot of commercial "security" products for the Mac. It's worse than the imaginary "viruses" you were worried about when you installed it. Not only does it fail to protect you, it throws false warnings, destabilizes and slows down your computer, and sometimes or always corrupts the network settings and the permissions of files in your home folder. Removing it may not repair all the damage, and neither will Disk Utility or even reinstalling OS X.
Back up all data, then remove "Avast" according to the developer's instructions. Reboot.
If you tried to remove Avast by dragging an application to the Trash, you'll have to reinstall it and follow the instructions linked above.
If you still have problems after following those instructions, post again.

  • 10g Reports Problem

We have our application ported to 10g. After we run some reports the application server is throwing an error "REP-56055: Exceed max connections allowed: 20". We have tried increasing the maxconnect parameter in the $ORACLE_HOME/reports/conf/repservername.conf file and it works but again gives the same error after some time. Then we have to restart the reports server again. The problem what I feel is that once a report is run completely it is not getting disconnected from the reports server, due to which even if there is a single user running the reports then after the specified no of max connections the app server is throwing the same error.
    Please give some suggestions.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi All,
    Hope YOu are fine.
We have running Oracle Forms and Reports Services 10g on Windows 2000 Advanced Server.
The Application Works fine, and reports are generated successfully.
But when we access the same application by using either Linux OS (RHEL 4.0, Ubuntu 6),
The forms works fine but Linux OS could not run the report.
This seems to be a configuration problem.
    Any Clues.
    Thanks and Looking Forward.

  • Problems after transfering Cost centers with LSMW

    Hi,
I have a problem after transfering Cost Centers with LSMW.
The first Batch input run created all cost centers in one CC Group erroneously - cause they should be placed in different CC groups.
I changed LSMW settings and made another batch input run - now the Cost centers were created in proper groups. I think that I deleted all CC's created in previous batch input run, but now I am not too sure, because there is a problem...
Cost centers exist both in their proper groups and in the one group mentioned by me before. So there is such situation that Cost center appears in Standar hierarchy twice at the same time.
When I delete cost centers - they are removed from their proper groups but the CC entry remains in that one group - all CC are there inactive.
How can I get rid of them. I tried deleting them - but it's impossible - the system doesn't see them.
When I run the batch input again - the same cost centers appear in proper groups and at the same time they become active in the one group. The standard hierarchy group is not UNIQE.
Please advice me how to delete these entries from standard hierachy.
    Best wishes,
    Karol

    Hi,
Always recommended before loading into live system: upload in test system and check. check again just to make sure all is correct before real load.
In your case you probably would have been best to do a group change after incorrect upload.
Do Ambiguity check in stadnard hierarchy to explore all incorrect entries. Depending on your version yo ucan change in that function (ECC6) ore need to run a report. Before running the report check that CC master records have correct entry. The report is RKCORRH1
Again, try in QA first and run in Test Run
    Good luck

  • Performance problems after EHP4

    Hello,
    We have a small problem.
After installing EHP4 for ERP and EHP1 for Netweaver 7 on AIX Oracle installation, an increase in dialog response time is reported.
We upgraded last September 2009, and from then and to now, we have gone from an average of 800ms to 1200ms in dialog response time.
When we analyze transactions, there is no specific transaction that is the cause, it looks more like an allover trend, that the system in general has become slower.
When we look at fx. Earlywatch reports, it is quit obvious, that the u201Cproblemsu201D started just after implementing the EHP.
We are attacking this on several fronts, and I am looking on the sap basis part.
I was not a part of the upgrade team, so what I am looking into, is weather maybe some notes has been forgotten or something else. I am especially interested in notes and steps that should have been performed on Oracle, in connection with the EHP upgrade.
Is there anybody in here that have experienced similar problems, after applying EHPs?
    Best Regards,
    Kenneth

    Hi Kenneth,
In which area that you are having much interval  in total rsponse time? If it is looking under DB time may be cause with Oracle bug fixes..check your all Oracle patches(mainly related to performance).
And explore the DB version and patch list that presently you had.

  • [solved - faulty hardware]nvidia - serious problems after last update

I'm trying to fix this for 3 days now...
After last nvidia update i rebooted and my screen looked like this:
    http://img3.imagebanana.com/img/qogzxehj/img_1702.jpg
So I googled a bit, tried to create a new xorg.conf with nvidia-xconfig, tried several things in xorg.conf but nothing worked. A downgrade to previous version failed. I was fed up with it and restored a backup from the week before and.....got also this messed up screen.
I even get some strange stripes/distortion in BIOS splash screen now or when I boot from a live-cd:
    http://img3.imagebanana.com/img/29u0495s/img_1698.jpg
Next day I added a "Mode Section" to xorg.conf and everything seemed to work again - until the screen turned off because of inactivity (no suspend or hibernate), I moved the mouse and everything was f**** up again.
As things are now: I have this strange distortion in my BIOS-bootscreen. When X starts this messed up screen from the screenshot appears. I can switch to a console. If I switch to runlevel 3 and immediately back to runlevel 5 I get an apparently working desktop. But the windows don't redraw, the program windows won't refresh if I move them around. Everything looks strange and so on.
I played around with xorg.conf, loaded some Modules, tried several depths and resolutions, added a modeline, nothing. Reinstalled nvidia in runlevel 3, tried the nv-driver (brought up black screen with some red pixels, system only reacted on magic sysrequest..). Vesa driver works (resolution 800x600)...I also wanted to boot from 2 Knoppix CD's floating around here but they both came up with a black screen, at the other hand a Clonezilla live-cd is working (with 800x600 and 1024x768 and this distorted pixels, see second screenshot from above).
Is it possible that my VGA Bios is corrupted or something? I suppose this because of the distortion in the boot screen...A guy in the german archforum gave me the advice to look if
    dmesg | grep -e mtrr -e MTRR
produces any output - it does not.

Ok, recently the exact same thing happen to me and my 6800.
These were the kernel's last words before everything froze hard. From everything.log,
    NVRM: Xid (0002:00): 13, 0001 00000000 0000502d 0000060c 00000083 00000100

Googling that, I stumbled upon this and I though jackpot!
    http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=123912
There seems to be a known problem all the way back to the start of 180.51 driver series. But the weird thing is the previous version(180.44) had no problems whatsoever.
Also, my logs never showed this other error they were clamouring about...
[mi] EQ overflowing. The server is probably stuck in an infinite loop.
[mi] mieqEnequeue: out-of-order valuator event; dropping.
Adamant that a hardware failure at this point is too coincidental, I attempted first installing nvidia-beta and nvidia-utils-beta from aur as suggested by the post. Then, I tried downgrading the to the previous nvidia. Then, the previous kernel. The same thing keeps happening albeit with weird frequencies. There were times when it could last well over 5 hours, even on wesnoth. However, the thing that usually broke it is firefox loading with the usual 150+ tabs. This puzzled me even more. The graphic card isn't even related to this. Maybe its ram? Went on ram swapping spree again to no avail.
A couple of reboots later, weird graphical distortions appeared right after BIOS. Then it really hit upon me that this had to be a hardware problem! It was only when I fiddled desperately with the bios settings when I noticed that my Northbridge/chipset fan is spinning at 0rpm! Opened up the case and sure enough, its dead. I hacked and replaced it from my old AMD cpu's fan. Funny, my intel CPU fan just died a while back. Replaced it with the chasis fan. Can't be bothered to shop for these.....
Still, I booted up, thinking the bug will still be there since the chipset supposedly has nothing to do with graphics problem. To my surprise, it's totally gone! Elated yet puzzled, I sought out trying to rationalize the whole event. Afterall, it's only through understanding these that one is able to troubleshoot effectively. A quick search on google on the northbridge yields the answer. In fact, the northbridge does have something to do with the graphic card. It acts as an interface for high speed devices. No wonder firefox caused it to crash too!
    Lessons learnt
If the frequency of crashes seems too random, consider that it might be a hardware overheat failure. This can easily explain why "the next morning everything works fine".
If weird stuff happens outside of the OS, eg. while rebooting, it's most likely is a hardware failure.
should be a big coincidence if the card dies because of heat problems in the second I updated?
It really isn't such a big coincidence. This depends on the frequency of your updates. Most people update every week or even every few days.

With both dolphin that with konqueror if I use them to remotely access ( ftp )
icons appear as links from the first link ( attach a photo to make me understand better )
In the annex it can be noted that after the home are all represented by the icon link, in reality
only home and media are links

This also applies to files not only for folders, any ideas / suggestions.

  • Epson Artisan 810 problems after updating to 10.6.6

I'm having all sorts of scanner issues since upgrading. The scanner just plain disappears after several uses. Rebooting the computer seems to make it appear for a while. I Reinstalled the drivers and that didn't make the problem go away. It's like playing hide-n-seek. My FileMaker Pro 10 is also behaving strangely -- it will all of sudden refuse to boot. Then I reinstall the software and it works again for a while. I always run Disk Utility before updates to verify the state of my hard drive and I verify permissions as well. I've never had an issue with an update until now.

Have you by chance installed the recent Epson driver updates through Software Update? I've seen several posts reporting problems, and I emailed Epson - their reply was that if my printer was working as it should, driver updates do not need to be installed. So, if you have, I would suggest that you uninstall everything Epson, go to their website and download the appropriate driver package and start over. Also, if you aren't doing so already, you might want to consider using Image Capture for any scanning - it works very well (and better than Epson Scan in my opinion).
Have you checked your disk's S.M.A.R.T. status in Disk utility? Did you run repair permissions after the latest update? There were many that needed repairing after this last one. And, you could check the health of your hard disk by booting off your install CD, going to Utilities -> Disk Utility and repair your hard drive.

  • [SOLVED] KDEmod problem after Xorg Update

    Hi!
Before explain my problem, I have to say that my english isn't perfect, sorry ^_^ (i'm spanish).
    Ok, let's go:
One week ago, I updated my system and Xorg was updated too, since that update my KDEmod restarts always. I read the kdm.log, and it says something about the RGBPath, then I went to my xorg.conf and comment that line.
After that, I could start my X with Gnome, but when I tried with KDEMod, it says "the module Record doesn't exist", I was searching about this module, and I saw that in xorg.conf there was a line that load this module. I also comment it too.
Now, when I try to start KDE, it loads, and when in the splashscreen appears the "K", if I click the mouse then appears my Desktop for 3 or 4 seconds, after that, KDE restarts and splashscreen loads another time, so i'm in a bucle. BTW, if i don't click the mouse, it also restarts after 7 or 8 seconds that K is "load", and begin the bucle loading kde with the splash screen too.
    kdm.log doesn't return an error.
What do you think about that?.
    Thanks!
    EDIT:
I forgot something: another error that I had is with "libGLcore", it said: "libGLcore.177" and "libGLcore.180" have the same name but different file type (or something like that). I fix with the re-install of the manual nvidia drivers.]
    =================================================================
    FIX
    writte in konsole:
    nvidia-xconfig
    THen add to xorg.conf
    Section "ServerFlags"
    OPtion "AutoAddDevices" "False"
    EndSection
