Report project version comparison plan

Hi!,
Iu2019m testing a Report project version comparison plan t/code S_ALR_87013539, if I choose a simulation version and choose u201CStructure-relatedu201D then this can be compared but if I use u201CObject-relatedu201D then there is any data to compare. I choose in origin of date both u201CCurrent datau201D and u201CVersion datau201D.
If I chose to compare a snapshot version then I can compare it in both u201CStructure-relatedu201D and u201CObject-relatedu201D.
So my question is if this is as it should be or is this an error?
I mean if you can compare u201CStructure-relatedu201D and u201CObject-relatedu201D for snapshots I should be able to do the same for simulation versions.

Hi,
I hope this report is for Project Version related data comparison with other project version/Plan/ current. I hope this is not right report for simulation version. When you are using this report with reference to structure it should show structure related information with reference to other version as well, but when you are selecting Object related it will have reference of Project version itself.

Plan versions: A plan version is created in accounting and stores different cost plans for a project, such as an "optimistic" and a "pessimistic" plan.
Now coming to plan version 0 is verson where actaul cost is updated in your organisation.
Plan version 1 is used for the planning...
How to see the same in CJE5 is suggested by Virendra..
However there is no filed name planned cost in report but the name of the filed is Proj.cost sched.000
with which you can achieve your result.
path is run txn CJE5>give your Project no.> F8> in new screen> F5-->in new Window scroll down in the right side for the Proj.cost sched.000 filed > with select take the same to left side>Enter--> values will displyed for this field in your report.
similarly you can use the other fields as well... take help of F4, to know the meaning of fileds.

PS - Project Version Reporting

Hi Dear,
For project verson wise reporting i need to get Amount (Plan and actual cost , revenue) and Quantity (Plan work and actual work --durations).
I have done the development by pulling amont from RPSCO and Quantity from RPSQT by giving the OBJNR which iam getting from MASTER TABLES.
I got the right amount values i need for defining COST and REVENUES.

But the problem is with the RPSQT. all the quantity values have got the units as ' % '. So, i feal that this is not the right table to define Plan and Actual WORK (Duration) and the units hould be like Hours or Each....etc.
Can some one pls suggest me as which R/3 table will provide me the Quantity values by Project version wise for defining DURATION/WORK (plan and actuals)

On BCT I found data sources for "cProject" that can handle versions but none for PS. Have you solved your request and if so how you managed it? I've got the same request concerning 0PS_C02 and 0PS_C04.

CN41, CNS41 don't work on planning version 001 and project version

Iu2019ve an issue:
Iu2019m working on release ECC 6.0.
I did the overall planning, costs and revenues (structure planning on Project), then I saved data on project version and on planning version 001.
When I run the CN41 or CNS41 with plan data in plan version 001 (costs and revenues) and plan data (costs and revenues) in project version, the report doesnu2019t let me see the plan data in the Project version column neither in the planned cost/rev. 001 column.
The hot patches on my system is on SAPKH60013.
Any one could help me?

FYI for others searching on this issue, there are a few OSS Notes that explain this:
Note 148971 - Planned values in Project Information System
"4. The Planned costs column in the structure overview and the planning board corresponds to the Overall planned costs column in the hierarchy reports if you implemented Note 106823..
If you implemented Note 106823 (included in the standard system as of Release 4.0B), only the annual values of the WBS elements, networks and orders are displayed. Column 'Planned costs' in the structure overview and planning board corresponds to the 'Total of year'. If this effect is not desired, Note 106823 has to be removed or should not have been implemented beforehand. In addition, if you implement Note 127521, you must remove the changes in object REPS LHFPLU08 of Note 127521 (this applies to Release 30D - 31I). Any other changes can remain."

which R/3 table will provide this information for different Project Versions.

We have the following scenario: The system does not default the Actual Duration when the Start Date, Time and Finish Date, Time are entered on the time confirmation, it should calculate the time and insert the value in the Actual Duration field.
Is it possilbe.

Is there a 2013 version of the Microsoft Project Server 2010 PWA Schedule or Project Management Comparison Chart that is available at

Project version(current data and version data comparison not possible)

HI,
I am stuck up with project version we are using EHP7 and SAP HANA
When i create the version through CN71 or CNS41 system displays message "version is saved"
When i try to compare the same version with the current date in the same mentioned transaction codes system does not display the version data .
secondly when i am trying to display only version system displays message version does not exists.but in tables data is saved
In transaction code CN71 if i go to edit -->other selection versions-->enter user and press enter system displays all the saved versions for that project
selecting the project version it is displayed only
In the drop down list ,under VIEW--> choose project versions is also in display mode and is not editable .

If the version only exists in table VSKOPF then it does not main the version is actually created. You need to check if the corresponding version data has been created in table like VSPROJ_CN, VSPRPS_CN and so on, these tables holds the real data of your versions, if there is no data in these tables, then you can't compare the data also.

Editing a Project Version (CN72 / CN41)

Hi,
I have a requirement where a department build a project in CJ20N, then take a snapshot of that project using CN72 capturing the WBS structure and any Networks / Activities within the structure. They store this as an 'approved' snapshot. Later they add a further WBS element which they wish to add into their already taken snapshot so as not to change the WBS elements that already exist in the snapshot previously taken, but simply update that snapshot with the new WBS element. My questions are:
a) Is it possible to manually update a project version in this manner without having to create a new project version key? A new version key would mean that any changes made to data in CJ20N on the elements which existed in the original project version snapshot would then include those updates from CJ20N thus not showing the 'approved' version as it was previously.
b) Would another solution to this be to use status dependant project versions - would these update an existing project version if a new element was added to the structure but we didn't wish to overwrite the existing data in the snapshot for the existing elements?
c) A simulation version might be another method but I don't believe that you can raise purchase orders etc against a simulation version unless it is copied into the operative version in CJ20N.
Any answers of advice will be greatly appreciated.

as business requirement is,
to update the planned versions,it is not possible
versions are the snapshots and cannot be updated manually or by any means,
to do so every time you have to take a new version and get the approval for the same
any changes you make to the project can be compared with the already created version,so you can have a comparison of current data verses version data
once again i confirm that you cant change version or manually update it

Versions Actual/Plan in SAP FI and CO

What are the various levels in SAP FI and CO, where versions can be maintained for Actual and Plan. An what is the importance of Special purpose in versions.

Versions is maintained in Controlling to store data in different way. transactional and planning data.
For example version 0 -Version 0 for Plan/actual version, using that I can store my planning & actual value store my cost objects.Version 0 is generated automatically when you create the controlling area. Version 0 is the only version where actual transaction data is posted
Plan versions P1,P2 and so on- offer you the possibility to administer several plans parallel in the system. As a rule, one plan version contains an overview of your enterprise's organizational plan.
For example you will have plan data in P1- 100
P2- 120
P3- 140
SO that you will have various reference points to plant data in parallel, You will have various reporting options in comparison with actual data. We use T-code OKEQ for maintaining and creating versions for PCA, Controlling Area, PS etc.

Overview Report -projects from PS

M trying to execute std query based on 0ps_c04_q0002(Overview Report -projects ), but m getting diff values ,
some of that values in -ve,overall result is also in -ve ,
if i want to execute it ,which data sourses do i need to concider ,m not getting revenue values for a selected project ,
and if i want to reconcilate with R3
what is the Tcode fro actual/planned costs vs revenue and work,
m getting values for the work in Hours like 1234HR,
guys can any one pls tell me how to execute this report correctly??

I had no much time to pull d overall report 2day - some sourcesystem problem for sandbox loads
my pblm, is m not getting revenue values
Revenues: planned
Currency type (20), posting period (1-16), key figure type (revenues and corresponding quantities), version (plan version), value type detail (1-4), value type for reporting (actual), key figure (project plan)
Revenue Planned Costs is a sap defined restricted key figure ( its not coming from 0PS_C04 its a query element ) & it has its own restrictions . As mentioned above it is restricted to 0Amount -> Curr type 20.....keyfigure type - 1002 ( something like that )version - 20 ..etc.
But only 0Amount is used for all these Revenue costs, Actual costs etc.
For the set of restrictions how the Revenue Planned Costs is defined, der may be no relevant data .....no data for the same selections in ur 0PS_C04.
Try loading both 0co_om_wbs_1 & 0co_om_wbs_3 - > this shud get u some planned costs atleast.
Revenues: actual
Currency type (20), posting period (1-16), key figure type (revenues and corresponding quantities), value type detail (1-4), value type for reporting (actual), key figure (amount)
The same applies for Revnues Actual.
Load all 6 wbs datasources for enough data.....luk at RSA3 data for each extractor giving the selections for the Revnue Restricted Keyfigures.
For actuals load 0co_om_wbs_6...n so on.
I beleive u shud fetch enuf data from wbs1, wbs3 & wbs 6 datasources...if not it implies der is no relevant data in ECC.
Or
If ur jst luking for a quick report to present -> copy the query to an other one using Tcode RSZC - n remove restrictions like keyfgure type etc...

Project Version in cProjects

Hello Guys,
Can someone explain what is project version and its functionality. Can this be controlled with status flow of Projects. For example, In status flow, when PM changes to Update status an new version of project shoud be created.
Can this be possible in cProjects as standard functionality.

There are two types of versions in project management
1. Project versions: Typically used for reporting the state of a project at a given time. Yes it is possible to automatically generate a version based trigger on a project.
2. Simulation version : this is typically used to simulate a project. At times the cost planning, effort estimates needs to be determined which can be done using simulation versions

VS 2012 report project query designer greyed out

The graphical editor stopped working while editting a report project dataset. Now it shows all the button greyed out. It now only works in "Edit as Text" mode. I can't seem to find a fix.

Compare different project versions for material components?

hi all,
is it possible to display and compare different project versions for material components in different COLUMNS? i want to be able to view the data for each version in a different column.. currently i can view the different data per version but it is arranged by ROW but i want to know if its possible to have different layout/report showing the different versions in separate columns

Plan version Current plan was set

Hi Experts,
I am working on the SAP HCM implementation in the Health Sector and this is the first time i am working in Health Sector Project, and one of the IS-Healthcare Consultant has raised the following issue saying it as HR, and i am unable to figure out if its my error or not,I checked all the settings from my end and everything seems to be fine from my end... Please Advise....
In IS-H there is a t-code called NB20 to create an organization structure in IS-H , but when he is trying to execute the t code thru easy access, it is giving a message saying " PLAN VERSION CURRENT PLAN WAS SET" ...
