Hi,
when i put the new rdf in toad ie add this to INV directory using Ftp , i see a blank report ie add this to INV directory using FtpWere you able to run the report from your Windows client with no issues after doing the changes?
Note: the format you use above is recommended if you have a code to display, so it is better you post your question without using the code format.
Thanks,
Hussein

Registering oracle forms and reports in oracle apps 11i
Hi all
I am a newbie to oracle apps
could someone please help me with registering oracle forms and reports in oracle apps 11i
thanking in advance
regards
oracle userHi,
regarding adding (Add (C:\ABC) to FORMS60_PATH in the registry) could you please explain
compilation is by f60gen @ (is this right?)Correct, the syntax of using f60gen is explained in (Note: 130686.1 - How to Generate Form, Library and Menu for Oracle Applications).
The place where i am working has apps installed in IBM AIX server .. so how do i access Apps
or can i access Apps via TOAD.You will have to access the server using ftp to download the pll files to your local machine. TOAD can be used to access the database objects only (not the physical application files).

EBS 11i custom report format in Excel
We have developed Oracle EBS 11i custom reports in PDF / Text output format for a Customer. Now, the customer wants all of them to be converted into excel format since they want to do some data manipulation on the output. Are there any tools / utilities to quickly take care of this conversion?
The output has to look like an authentic excel file with proper pagination / headers etc. Any help is appreciated.

Help!! Need to display current EBS 11i user password policy
I need to find way to display Oracle EBS 11i (Oracle Financial)'s current password policy for each EBS user account. Is there any way to do it? Can we run some SQLs to pull it off or need to run any report to do this.
Thanks advanceFrom the application, see (How To Setup Password Security? [ID 564125.1]).
From the database, see the docs referenced in this thread -- User profile report
Thanks,

Monitoring Password Resets to EBS 11i IDs
Has anyone been forced, for SOX compliance, to monitor EBS 11i user ID password resets? If YES, how are you monitoring those resets?
I don't think any standard 11i report exists.
Is anyone using the Audit functionality within Audit Tables to monitor password resets? Or perhaps using the table / column audit functionality within the 9i database itself? You can query the applsys.fnd_user table, it has a number of password related columns. (password_date, password_access_left, etc.)

EBS 11i ... ias.properties
Can someone tell me where the "ias.properties" file is in EBS 11i? I cannot find it within any of the 11i structure. Is there an equivalent file?
Thanks .. SI'm help work with a sever configuration tool called Cohesion. This tool can discover loaded software based on predefined blueprints (blueprint= desired structure that will be used to manage/identify important changes over time). In an EBS 11i situation the tool cannot discover what's loaded (Forms, Report, HTTP, etc.). In trying to understand how the tool derives what is loaded, one of the files used for discovering the 10g Apps, is the ias.properties file. I was trying to help the Cohesion admin guy by attemtping see if there's another set of file(s) that could possibly be used. I'm kind of flying blind on the Cohesion tool as to how/what/where it attempt to discover. It's use of the ias.properties is an educated guess. A listing of potential files in 11i EBS that I can pass to the Cohesion admin so that he could build the approriate blueprint would help. Make sense!?
Thanks in advance. Steve -
hi,i am crane
i have a problem to resolve and hope to get suggestion.
i need create a new reponsiblity and custom a new application in ebs 11i using oaf
The oaf guideline provide extension and personlization to ebs 11i ,but not provide information about custom a new application.
for example
i want to create a new responbility a kind of employee. and develop a report in oaf for them.what can i do ?
thank you for suggestion~~Hi,
command to check the processer details
cat /proc/cpuinfo (or)
grep flags /proc/cpuinfo
if the results contain lm (long mode) then it is 64 bit processor
"uname -a" should give details of OS
If the results contain
- x86_64 => 64-bit OS
- i386 and i686 => 32 bit OS
Since your result contain x86_64, it must be 64 bit OS

Hi Friends,
As Apps DBA in your company, can you share me how do u managed your EBS 11i/R12
Production systems please. What are the basic daily activity that I should be doing so that I will not encounter problems with the system and make the system run smoothly day by day.
Thanks a lotHi Again :)
I found some AppsDBA Responsibilities in Google, Is this a good one? Or lacking of somethings.
Thanks

Discoverer report in oracle apps 11i
hi,
can you please explain me the steps involved in to view the discoverer report in oracle application 11i.... how to attach a discoverer report in oracle applications 11i versions...Hi,
Take a look at Metalink Note:278095.1

Hi,
I am upgrading our EBS 11i database (9.2.0.5.0) to 9.2.0.8.0 by following note : 216550.1 (Interoperability Notes Oracle Applications Release 11i with Oracle9i Release 2 (9.2.0)).
I have installed Opatch 2617419 and then installed 6880880 (p6880880_101000_WINNT.zip) (OUI patch).
While applying Windows patch 6 (5916268) ,using opatch I am getting the following error:
OPATCH_JAVA_ERROR=OPatch Exception while trying to check for Mini Patchset
Cannot check bug/file conflict and component prerequisite checks.
ERROR: OPatch failed during prerequisite check.
OPatch returns with error code = 150
Any help to resolve the issue is appreciated.
I saw note +'OPATCH_JAVA_ERROR=OPatch Exception While Trying to Check for Mini Patchset' while applying patch using opatch 1.0.0.0.x [ID 971783.1].+
There are no '&' in the inventory file. There are a lot of '<'. I dont know if this note is applicable.
Thanks
Thiru.Hi,
I am following section 2 only.
In Section 2, # 7 we have to apply latest Oracle Patching Tool (OPatch) patch 2617419 and in # 8 we have to apply additional 9.2.0.8 RDBMS patches ( in our case it is Windows patch 6.
I am getting issue while applying Windows patch 6 using opatch.

Installing EBS 11i on CentOS 5.4
Dear Members :
Encountering: error while loading shared libraries: libdb.so.3: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory >> in step 4/5 and message showing "starting CVM on middle tier".
CentOS might not be the certified version, but since it is nothing but RHEL, I tried. Could you clear my confusions :
[1] If patch 6078836 solves the issue, how to download, as I don't have Oracle SID.
[2] Whether patches are not required if I install it on OEL5 and what should be the right Update version for that ?
[3] Is there any way I could still install on CentOS5.4, applying some rpms, to overcome libdb.so.3 issue ?
I downloaded EBS 11i from e-delivery choosing "on-demand/Linux X86" .
Thanks in advance.
AtanuHi Atanu,
Could you please try to answer my first post in this regard ?
CentOS might not be the certified version, but since it is nothing but RHEL, I tried. Could you clear my confusions :Off course both Centos and redhat holds same source code, you can try your Installation on centos, but what i recommend is you can get certified OS platform free to download from oracle web http://edelivery.oracle.com then why to waste time on uncertified version of OS if Installation failed.
[1] If patch 6078836 solves the issue, how to download, as I don't have Oracle SID.Yes this can resolve your Issue, but for downloading this patch you need to have valid CSI number.
[2] Whether patches are not required if I install it on OEL5 and what should be the right Update version for that ?Yes, this is an interoperability patch at OS level provided by oracle as pre-requisite patch for Installing oracle applications.
[3] Is there any way I could still install on CentOS5.4, applying some rpms, to overcome libdb.so.3 issue ?yes, you can. But Instead of wasting your time i again recommend you to download OEL from http://edelivery.oracle.com
