Report Running Problem on 6i in web

I have problem with my project. In client(XP machine) my reports(pdf formats) is not running. we are using forms 6i and for web things jvm also using. what are the settings required in the client machine.

Make sure you have the plugin Jinitiatior /Sun JAva plugin installed in the desktops.
Also make sure the Interenet expolorer settings (advanced tab) so that browser /pdf and browser excel integration works fine

i'm using Fusion 11g form & report 11g.
my report support arabic, database also support arabic.
my problem happen when i run my report with parameter form from browser url directrly as :

the report run fine and i'm able to query and employee name and retrive them correctly from database. but i have some employees thier names is in Arabic
text like 'احمد' when i enter this word in the paramter html form in the browser it return null, in sqlplus it work good and return the row.
to make sure i add the name add fixed list and also as LOV in report user paramter form , it works fine when i choose english name from the LOV and return the row
but when i choose an arabic name it said Warning: The value of restricted LOV parameter P_Ename !!!!??????
viwing arabic LOV in Html form is working fine but passing this name as aparameter to the report server return null when using fixed list and when using LOV returns the above message..

Yep, i already set the appropriate charset for the report server as you mention.
still when i use Arabic as input in the parameter form box it return null.
and when i a force the parameter box to user LOV it said : REP-0788: The value of restricted LOV parameter P_ENAME is not among the selectable values.
I'm using Windows-1256 characterset in both 10g Database and both system registry ( Database Home) & ( Fusion home) also in the
rwservlet.properties i use windows1256 also i use UTF-8 , but nothing ...

When run report from form(6i) on the web,error FRM-921000

While I was trying to run report from form (6i)on the web,it will give me this error
message FRM-921000 and hang.
But when I try to call form using form,I do
not have the problem.

I am running Forms 6i on the web and attempting to call me report via RUN_REPORT_OBJECT. I am getting the same error as Jenny FRM-92100. I need to pass a parameter list so I don't think I can use WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT. Any ideas???

Strange problem... Query runs faster, but report runs slow...

We are using Report 10g on 10g Application server and solaris. we created a report on a table which has 10,000 rows. The report has 25 columns. when we run this query in Toad it took 12 sec for fetching all these 10,000 rows
But when we run the report with Destype = 'FILE' and Desformat = 'DELIMITEDDDATA', it is taking 5 to 8 minutes
to open in excel ( we concatenated mimetype=vnd-msexcel at the end of the url if the Destype=FILE). We removed the layout in the report as it is taking 10 to 15 mins to run to Screen with Desformat=HTML/PDF(formating pages taking more time). We are wondering why DELIMITEDDATA format is taking long time as it runs only query.
Does RWSERVLET take more time of writing the data to the Physical file in the cache dir? Our cache size is 1 GB. we have 2 report servers clustered. Tracing is off.
Please advise me if there are any report server settings to boost the performance.

"Report a problem" takes you on a circular run-around

I get my usual email from iTunes regarding my purchases, and for the first time there's a problem* (irrelevant to this post, but described below).
1) I click "report a problem" in the email, which launches iTunes.
2) I click "report a problem" next to the item in iTunes, and it takes me to a generic support page via my browser: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/
3) I drill down there to "Purchases & Downloads", click on the link "Reporting issues with iTunes Store purchases" to here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1933
4) That tells me to do one of two things, both bringing me back around to a step above.
a) For In-App purchases (which this was) "contact iTunes Store Support", the link which takes me here: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww/ , and then selecting United States (English), and that takes me back to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ , where step 2 above took me.
b) otherwise open iTunes, and do a bunch of things culminating in step 2 above.
* The problem: I download a free app that relies entirely on using data from a web site, not affiliated with the producer of the app. I attempt to use the app, and it fails. There's a suggestion that I need to make an In-App purchase to enable that functionality, so I do. It still fails, and on further investigation I find the reason is that the third-party web site the app relies on has blocked the app, so the app is permanently broken and useless. I don't care about the 99 cents, but more the many 99 cent In-App payments by others for something entirely nonfunctional.

Two questions:
First Question: Are the clickable links in my iTunes email, and also within iTunes (in Purchase History), which say "Report a Problem", supposed to allow me to Report a Problem, or only to lead me through a circular loop without any option to Report a Problem? (as they actually do, as described in my initial post)
Second Question: If the former, how? (as described in sufficient detail in my initial post, they only do the latter)

HELP! Form-Report integration problem!

Hi all, I have a problem in integrating report in dev10i. I used to use Dev6i and have no problem in using run_report_object in 6i. I have posted this in Report for few days but haven't got response.
I got the REP-0503 You did not specify the name of the report and FRM-40738 Argument 1 to builtin Report_Object_Status can not be null. The report run OK in report builder and I create the paper only layout. Also, I save the report as *.rdf and create a report object in form that point to this *.rdf file.

What gives? Do I miss something here? Do I have to set up other thing??? Also what is the name of report server in Dev10i? I am under impression that this is not needed so I put blank '' when I call this procedure in WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger like this:

Hi all, I created simple report from 1 table and save it as *.rdf. I then make a simple form consisting 1 block and a button that have WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger that call P_PRINT_REPORT_OBJ. I create a report object in the form that point to my *.rdf report file and name the object MYREPORT. This time it gives Rep-0110 Can not open file '%n~<intangible character>' and REP-1170 Error while opening or saving a document. After that other message popup with REP-0110. It seems that FIND_REPORT_OBJECT could not find the file at all/giving the wrong filename as argument. Do I have crooked installation? I have tried it on 2 diff machine running XP2. Is this because of Win XP2? I have admin privilage user account for winXP2. Please help, this is not making a sense at all. I have no problem in Dev6i.

Bind to report server problem

please i want your help of my case that iam trying to run areport from aform both are (10g).
the problem is when calling the report from a button in aform with this code in the ''when_button_pressed'' trigger

The advise presented from reports builder help is to make sure that the Reports Server is running and that the Reports Server name is correct.
so i make from run the following test ''rwserver'' it gives me aprompt with a message (please consult the installation guides for how to setup and run this program).
so please please help find the solution.
note: when i try to run the report from the report builder it works good and generates the report properly both paper layout or web layout.

i have tried your steps you have written in the last theared on my pc and on another pc has the same (10 g release) and project and i got the following results:
1.For the scond pc evry thing was good and works properly. when performeing the command (rwserver server= rep_server) it intializes the report server and starting it very well and calling a report from aform goes well. and when running your form REPORT_SERVER_LIST.fmx it gives me the results for list of rep servers started.
But on my pc which has the problem when running the command (rwserver server= rep_server) it starting the rep server for a 1 or 2 seconds then quickly shutdown the report server alone.
when trying again and again when starting the rep server it gives a windos error msg says (connot delete file ''rep_repservername'') and shut down the rep server.
can u please rajesh explain for me wy it is happening?
i have tried to solve the problem so i vave opened the (Devhome\reports\server\) and and i found the reports servers files thier. i have recognised that that those files is (.dat) files and was considered the (Windos media player 10) as the recomended program to open . Do you think Rajesh that the (Windos media player 10) desabling the report servers and shutdown it??? becuase i have so that no recomended progrom to open in the good pc.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. This has me stumped . . . I am out of ideas.

What caused our bursting problem:
We had to put the word "KEY" in quotes (in our bursting query), because KEY is a reserved word in sybase. But putting it in quotes caused a problem - the results of the bursting query did not contain a "KEY" tag.
. . . And the solution:
We added the connection property "GET_COLUMN_LABEL_FOR_NAME=true" to our sybase datasource definition. Many thanks to Tim Dexter, and to Paul from the sybase forums (http://newsgroupstats.info/article/forums.sybase.com/sybase.public.jconnect/2308/Column-aliases-not-working.html) c. 2007.

Problem with CRM 2011 web front end cluster

Hi.
We have a CRM 2011 (RU17) environment with a SQL DB server and 2 web front end CRM server in a cluster.
Since few days (about 10) it seems that one of the 2 nodes is not working, and since yesterday many users report access problems when calling the application by cluster name - as usual since we deployed CRM 1 year ago.
I tried myself, and I can run the application by cluster name without problems. If it try the separate notes addresses, one of them works, the other doesn't.
I checked the 2 web front end servers, and are (or seem) both properly configured, with all patches installed.

On the 'running' server event viewer I only have one error, related to mail router:

Apologize for not having indicated here the resolotion I got thanks to MS support...
We enabled the trace and we got
a http error page stating maxQueryStringLength was insufficient. We changed the maxQueryStringLength and QueryString values in the CRM web.config value to 10240.
We also noticed an error related to the DC being unavailable. We checked in the CRM registry hive and see in the non-working server you had a PreferredDc key pointing to “AMDNAD”. On pinging
AMDNAD we see it is not reachable. We removed the PreferredDc key and after iisreset we can navigate to crm.

Crystal Report Chart not showing up in Web Portal

I have a created a chart using Crystal Reports(runs fine in Crystal) and published it on our Report Server. When I went to look at the report on our Web portal, the text objects were visible however the chart was not. Portal is in JSF technology (IceFaces) on JBoss server.
Anyone know why this happening?

Yes I did. I created file "crystalreportviewers115" in my "WEB-INF" and coped there all file from "C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Common\4.0\crystalreportviewers12\".
In tutorial which i founded [here|http://devlibrary.businessobjects.com/businessobjectsxir2/en/en/JRC_SDK/jrc_java_dg_doc/doc/jrcsdk_java_dg/Tutorials2.html#1459845] they saying that I must copy file "crystalreportviewers115" but in my case I have "crystalreportviewers12" and:

- java
- managed
In my case i haven't file "crystalreportviewers115" but "crystalreportviewers12".
In eclipse the structure of my app (its "Dynamic Web Project") looks like:

Crystal Report Viewer in Sharepoint Page Viewer Web Part

In our SharePoint setup, we have a web part that contains links that either hides or shows three other web parts (page viewer web part). When entering the page, the first web part is shown and the other two are "hidden". Clicking on the links will toggle through these three web parts. Link 1 = Web Part One Visible, Web Part Two and Three Hidden. Link 2 = Web Part Two Visible, Web Part One and Three Hidden. Link 3 = Web Part Three Visible, Web Part One and Two Hidden.
Our problem involves the CrystalReportViewer. We have created a page that allows us to open the last successful instance of a report with the viewer. This works correctly when calling the link directly from IE. When we place this link in either the second or third web part, the report does not show. The viewer borders will appear but the report itself will not. If the .aspx is placed in the first part, the report appears without issue. We do not want the .aspx to be called by the first web part and need it to load in one of the other two. We can get the report to show in the other web parts if you right click on the empty space where the report should be and hit refresh.
What do we need to do to get the report to load correctly in either of the two web parts? We have looked at several options and can not get anything to work. We didnt have this issue when using BOE XI R2 with an .asp opening the reports. Please let me know if more info is needed. We are running BOE XI R3.1 currently.

We havent tried that. We changed the link in the web part to access an html page that claims that the report is loading. It states in the html that if the page doesnt load to "click here" which redirects to the crystalreportviewer. Its a temp fix for it. One thing we are looking at is the 64 bit version of the Sharepoint integration kit. That may contain a reportviewer webpart.

Reports timeout at 60-seconds in web page

I have an SSRS 2012 report that takes a couple minutes to run. It runs fine in Visual Studio, and when run directly from the report-server manager (webpage), but when run from an ASP.NET webpage, it "stops running" at 60-seconds. No errors - just
the "please wait" message disappears and there are no results, although the report toolbar is still visible and operable. You can click the refresh button on the report toolbar and it "runs" again, but still stops at 60-seconds and
nothing in the results.
I don't believe the problem is at the report server, since the report runs fine there. I think it is somewhere in the web server that's accessing the report server, but I just can't find anywhere there might be an exact 60-second timeout. The web server
is pretty-much vanilla, with it's default settings.
Does anyone know what timeout might be defaulting at 60-seconds and causing the report to just stop?

Report print problems

we are working on a couple of reports that are giving us problems printing. on the first we are getting multiple records that are the same this report prints fine ,but when i add the distinct keyword to the query the report comes up blank on the web. in the client/server environment the report prints the expected results. the second report is simply passed one parameter and i want to print that parameter as a barcode. i can also get this report to run in client/server but not on the web. these reports produce no errors just a blank report. we have other reports running fine but these two are driving me crazy. is there anything i should look for.

This seems to be more of a Windows error but it could be related to how LabVIEW is trying to communicate with IE too. I would recommend that you try the official example and see what happens. There is a VI in the Example Finder called HTML Report. It shows you how to correctly create a HTML report. There is also an example by the name of PrintControlReport.vi. This shows how you can then print any report that you’ve created. The combination of the two should give you what you need.
