Report runs fine on some workstations, won't refresh on others--WHY?

I have a variety of professionally-written reports that run and refresh properly on some of our workstations here, but will not refresh on other workstations...why?
Upon attempting a refresh, I get the following error: "Ther remaining text does not appear to be part of the formula." The formulas window also opens and shows the "error" in the formula. However, the formula is correct, and as I said, this same exact report runs fine with no errors on other workstations. All of our workstations are the same, running Windows XP Pro.
I am running Crystal Reports 8.5 on all machines. I did try installing the trial version of Crystal Reports 2008; however, the same error appeared. I have since uninstalled it and reverted back to 8.5, the version for which the report was written.

We've had this problem for several years. Today I actually fixed it. I copied all the dll files from C:\Windows\Crystal from our server (which the report would run fine on) and pasted to the same directory of the problem workstation(s), not overwriting any identical files. There were probably 13 missing dlls, and this seems to have solved the problem.

Report runs fine from CR 2008 Developer, but will not run once published

I have BO RAS12 (version 12.3.0.601) installed on a Win2008 machine. This is the "backbone" for a proprietary Reporting Suite for a Lawson ERP system.
I have one report that takes awhile to generate due to the number of records and complex summaries and grouping.
This report runs fine in the CR Developer on the server, but once I publish it and try to view with data refresh, it throws an 'Internal Server Error'.
I don't think this is a timeout problem as it throws this error within 5 minutes of attempted generation. To make matters worse, nothing is logged anywhere when it fails.
I know that this doesn't give much to go on, but any ideas?

i had the problem quite often, since i always forgot to tag the UI capabilities of my transaction.
There are several problems with your transaction that COULD be the reason.
Make sure the gui for windows is tagged.
Then, if first what you show is a selection screen, make sure the transaction type is the right one "reporttransaction (Programm and selection screen)".

Data missing in InfoView report but Crystal Report runs fine on my PC

I have created a Crystal Report (XI) which combines data from 2 datasources. Firstly from a postgres db (connected to by ODBC) and second from an Informix db (connected to by ODBC).
The report runs fine on my PC but when I publish the report into Business Objects XI and run the report in InfoView, the report runs successfully but displays no details rows. The title, page headers, group headers all display but no data detail rows are shown. There is no conditional suppression on the details section of the report.
The ODBC drivers install ed on the Business Objects XI Enterprise server are the same as the ones on my PC.
If the report is adapted to only use just one of the datasources then it displays the data fine in Business Objects. So it is just when the datasources are compbined in one report that the data is not displayed.
Any Ideas?

Report running fine via se38 , but not with tcode.

I had made a alv report, and had assinged TCODE.
When running via tcode > in selection screen i had given all the input data in selection fields,>After that when clicking the execution button> ITS GOING BACK TO SAP SCREEN.
BUT.
SAME report when running through SE38, its running fine..
I had debugg the program , and what find that when running throug TCOde , After AT-SELECTION SCREEN EVENT , ITS COMING OUT TO SAP MENU WITHOUT TRIGGERING THE START-OF-SELECTION EVENT.
HELP ME...

Please follow the steps for creating a transaction for report..
GOTO SE93
Give the transaction code.
Press create button..
Enter the short description..
Choose the radio button which says "Program and selection screen(report transaction)".
Press Enter..
Give the program name..
Remove the Selection screen "1000" if you want.
Save the transaction code..

Report runs fine in Analyzer but not working when executed fromQuerydesig

I have a issue with the Bw report which is not showing any data for Keyfigureswhen i execute the report related to APO from Bex query designer in Web.
But the same report executes fine in the Bex Analyzer.
If any one has faced this issue earlier,update us reg that.
We are doubting any prob related to catch memory as the java link for the report is not working.Report works fine in RSRT.

Print preview report running error in client workstation

dear all,
I face an issue in preview report in client,
The report is write in store procedure, using crystal report for the designer. I use OLEDB SQL native clilent.
My report is running well in server
the server os is windows server 2003 , SQL server 2008, SAP Business One 8.81 PL4,Australia localization.
But the problem is on the client work station, it can not preview. some clients only install pure SAP Business one client and using the windows 7.
I also run in windows XP client workstation, it runs well.
Should i install crystal report in client workstation?
Is there any driver or crystal report runtime that i must install first in client ?
Please provide me the link that i can download.

SCHEDULED REPORT RUNS FINE BUT UNABLE TO PULL UP THE RESULTS

Hello all,
I can create a new report in against Discoverer with no problem. The report can be run as a scheduled report....and the
results pulled up with no problem.
EXISTING reports that were converted during our 9i to 10G can be scheduled and run. However, when the user attempts to see
the results they receive an error message stating:
The results run for this scheduled workbook can no longer be used because the query has been changed.
Do you want to query the database for the new results?
After installing a patch some of the workbooks were able to be retrieved. It seems like there is some commonality in the workbooks that don't seem to work from the scheduled reports. It seems that any workbook that has an admin created calculation in the EUL as one of the selected fields or as a condition of the report, causes a problem.
If anyone of you came across this situation please guide us.

Hi Manohar
By resaving I mean opening the workbook in Plus then clicking the Save button to force Discoverer to save a clean copy. You should then reschedule this and see what happens.
Here's another trick from way back in the early days of Discoverer that might help. You said that the issue was with an admin created calculation. So, try this:
Create a brand new calculation in your workbook and load the admin calculation into it. Then change all references for the admin calculation, conditions etc, to point at the new calculation.
Believe it or not, this trick can sometime force Discoverer to work when it otherwise will not. At any rate, its worth a try don't you think?

Report running fine in foreground but not in background

Dear Friends-
I have created few varaients to run my report in background and foreground .
and inside report am using OOPS ALV and call screen .
issue is when i run prog using varaient in foreground it work fine and show me the correct one record
but when i run the report with same varaient in background it shows me huge records which are not relevant with given input also ...............How to solve this pls guide me

In my report am passing the input via varaients and submit another report inside the prog and in that second report it call screen with ALV stuff.
Is that is the reason ?
user command am not sure because at end of the job it not give any error job looks finish and shows so many records.

Some files won't play, while others just like them play fine

A couple of weeks ago I purchased a 3rd gen iPod Nano 4gb...between it and iTunes, I was able to easily get up and running. iTunes pulled together all of my music -- some of which had come from iTunes, and some were protected files from other sources that it couldn't load...but the vast majority of the files are unprotected MPEG Layer 3 files.
All of those files are seen by iTunes, displayed for me, and all of them play on my computer. A certain number of them I wanted on my iPod...so I checked the boxes and sync'ed the device. All but a handful of them play on the iPod. But here's the odd thing....those that won't/don't play are displayed on the iPod. It knows they're there. And I can scroll through them and select them...and the screen will even come up to indicate to me that they're about to play (with the song running time "thermometer" at the bottom)....they just won't start.
I've tried de-selecting them from the iTunes list, sync-ing again to remove them, then re-selecting them and sync-ing again....with no change: they're displayed, they can be selected...they just won't play.
Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Internet works fine but some applications won't work (wrt54g2)

So my connection works just fine with most applications and browsing, but when I try logging into a ventrilo server I'll just get stuck on synchronizing.
When playing Heroes of Newerth too, for an instance, I'm not able to connect to any games or download the game list.
I've opened all related ports and also set my computer up as DMZ to see if that was the problem, still didn't work.
The router is WRT54G2 updated to the newest firmware.
I also have a D-LINK router and both ventrilo and heroes of newerth work just fine on that router.
Any ideas?

Are you able to login in the ventrilo server when connected directly to the modem...?
As you have upgraded the router's firmware,I would suggest you to reset the router for 35 seconds,power cycle the router and re-configure it from scratch...Now,try to open the required ports on the router and check.

Some folders won't open properly. Why?

Ever since upgrading to Mountain Lion (from Lion), there are a couple of folders that won't open properly. This isn't a huge deal, but it is annoying. I tried logging out and in again, repairing permissions, and verifying the disk, and none of them fixes this. Here is an example of the problem:
I open a new Finder window, and it starts out by showing my user folder as it should. Then I click the 'Downloads' folder to open it up. But what I then see, in the actual Finder window, is the user folder - just like before! - except the icons are a little bit farther apart (the toolbar says it's the Downloads folder). This also happens with a couple of the other folders, like Music and Pictures.
The folder itself is fine - I can open the Downloads folder from the Dock, for example. I just can't do it from an existing Finder window. Why not? How do I fix this?

Also: Setting the Finder to always open folders in a new window DID fix this, but I'd rather not do that if I can avoid it.

My ipod works fine with some headphones but when I put others in it plays for about 20 seconds than fades and shuts off?

I can use one of my skullcandys but when i try to use the other pair it works for about 20 or so seconds before it will fade away

Make sure the plug is pressed in all the way. The fit seems to be different for different brands, so with some headphones, it takes more pressure to insert the plug completely (including Apple's recent EarPods). If the plug is not completely inserted, you may hear something, but the shuffle does not "see" the headphone so stops playing after a short period.

Error when I try to run a Journal report, Works fine in previous month

I am getting an error when I try to run a Journal report in HFM. The report runs fine for October Month but fials in November. does anyone have any ideas what it could be. The error message details are per below

Hi All,
I narrowed it down by running a report excluding working journals and that worked fine.
This was being caused by an invalid working Journal. I exported all journals from Prod, and tried loading them to test. One of the errors was
"Line: 7736, Error: Invalid parent.child entity dimension specified"
Looking at the row the journal did not have an entity specified for one of the lines.
When a valid entity was specified the journal report then starts working.
Lesson. Check all journals are valid. To find error, load journals export in a different environment.

Hi,
We have certain SSRS report (which includes subreports) which
many users are able to access, but
some users cannot access- they get this error:
"Unsupported RPL stream version detected: 101.116.1047292257. Expected version: 10.6."
(We are not using SP integrated mode)(using SSRS 2008 R2)
No problem in VS or on server when trying to run this report.
User having this problem has the sam ewindows and explorer versions.
