Report sale by material Group

HI,
Can anyone tell me if there are any standard report that I can get sales order by material Groups???

Dear Ryan
There is no standard report available based on material group. But you can generate the same through query SQVI and table join MARA (for Material Group) and VBAK (for sales order number) or VBRP (for sales details).

There is no Inventory report with external material group field in SAP so consult Abaper to develop the customized report.

Standard report on 'Ext Material group'

Is there any standard report available on 'Ext Material group' ? This field is present in Basic Data 1 view of material master.

Try table: MARA @ SE16 & look for field: EXTWG.

Report based on Material group

Dear all,
Actually our Business wants a report based on the material group and G/L account.
For each material group what are the accounting documents generated and the G/L account triggered with amount.
Example :
mat.grp G/L account(121001) G/L account (121002)
NUFW 3000 INR 2000 INR
Please can anyone suggest me
What will be my logic to generate a report and how can i extract data

Hi,
I hope there is no such standard report.However you can use SD-SIS to drill data basis product hirearchy for reporting purpose.
If business requirement is material group wise you can simply get a report developed through ABAPer from VBRK and VBRP table.

Sales person commission based on sales revenue on material group-report

Dear Experts,
My client want to charge and calculate Sales person commission based on sale revenue on material group.
lets say -sales person 'A' did sales during the month 5lakh on material group1 and 10 lakh material group2 .
then i will give commission 5% on less than 6 lakh and 10% on more than 9 lakh sales revenue.
so total commisssion they will book 125000(25000+100000) on GL .
They want this information from CO so they they can book amount in FI and after that need to charge from COPA based on above logic..
request you to guide me on the above.

will i get all this information from VBAP/VBRP table?.
I will transfer sales revenue,material group and sales person to copa at the time of billing.
Shall i use copa or VBAP/VBRP table in order to fetch information and based on information.I will calculate and post FI JV from FI to COPA.

SD system have material group 1 to 5 (Sales Org View in Material Master).

This can be possible by configuring SIS (Sales information system) ,t- code mcsi
select a table with material group and active the table and run it in mcsi

Report on Material group hierarchy

Dear All,
As we are runnning the report for material group hierarchy, Material
hierarchy is not appering in any of the standard reports like MB51,MB5B
etc.We need to take the report based on material group hierarchy,
Is there any standard report to fetch the Material group Hierarchy,.

Impact on if you change in material group

Change in Material groups in Material master - System will not update the PR,PO,Stock
Have to change all the documents to update the New Material groups.

Impacts of changing material group
1) If ur release strategy is based on material group it needs to modify ( Material group as charactaristics)
2)If u r trying to extract any reports based on material group u will find discrepency bet reports as u r changing M.Group in betn.
3)The data in the Info systems and BW etc. are updated with the the "old" material group and so if you tried to compare them you would find differences.
changing M . Group will not cause any major prob. but only reporting problems

If we are trying to change the material group in material master ,system is throwing warning message as "material is alreday maintained by purchasing", Is there any effect if we change the material group for this material with this warning message.

As the materials were procured with this Material Group..
you will get this Warning message...
"Is there any effect if we change the material group for this material with this warning message."
If you have any Release process based on material group
for PR's, pls change accordingly...
and the main effect will be on reports based on material group

Material Group : Materials having similar attributes will be goruped together and assigned to a Material Group.
Material groups are Extensively useful during :
Limit the Scope of Analysis
Reporting Purpose
External material group : Key that you can use to assign the material to an external material group or to a material group determined according to external systematics.
In General, External material groups are nothing but external representation of group of material which are extensively used in supply souce determination for provions materials related to retail and some other functions
In short if your Internal material group for example bearing is 0001 you can group externally further based on manufacturer like FAG for NRB. No accounting activity is based on it

Product heirarchy vs material groups for sales

Hi,
Can I make use of the material groups(5 in toatl in sales view1) to generate report for seeing the value/sale of any material instead of using product heirarchy ?
If I have created a 3 level heirarchy then how best I can use it to see in a report for any level.
Is there any standard report availble to track my sales/inventory needs based on product heirarchy ??
How can I track my purchases/open orders based on the employee resonsible for that material.i.e without having any HR module how can use the or create the staff of my company engaged in purchasing or for that matter selling also.
May be I can use Purchasing group for each employee.But then I need to use the same employee as Sales person.
How can this be achieved or any better option ??
