Report Scheduler Email Not Available...Alternative Option?

Hi,
I started a new position and am learning CUIC now. I heard the server our CUIC is on is unable to send emails for whatever reason,
When I create da schedule to push a test report, I was given a failure icon but no reason. Does anyone have insight on this problem or work arounds? I really appreciate any help.

Amer, thank you for the reply! I went to oamp and learned that the linux server our cisco cuic is on doe snot have SMTP setup, which explains the error. Am I able to work around this by having the scheduler push from another smtp? This is not really my area of knowledge. I have read all the related Cisco documentation without any solution. THanks agian.

Report-Service is not available: REP-110 und REP-1070

Hello,
I get the following errors after new configuration for Froms, Reports and Discoverer (11.1.1.6):
FRM-41214: Unable to run report
Or:
REP-110: File 01RD_MARG_04E. cannot be opened.
REP-1070: An error occurred while opening or saving a document.
The Report-Server is in Running state, but Report-Service is not available.
How can I isolate the error position?

Just out of curiosity, what did you change in opmn.xml?
Oh, I see in the doc now. That the same thing can be inserted in opmn.xml. But I have never seen
that done in any production environment I have encounterd.
I find that document a little bit strange, to be honest. Is that really the way to configure the Reports Service?
It is so very strange that they do not mention the env-id possibility in the rwserver.conf file.
The REPORTS_PATH is gotten from either registry, that is, the default for the host if you so like, or envid in the call to reports service via the URL as a parameter, ie. &envid=test. That envid can also hold
variables like NLS_LANG and such.
I regard the opmn files as do-not-touch and part of the WLS system structure.
I seldom touch the reports.bat-file. But maybe that was necessary in this case. I do not know.

NDR message recived but the original email not available in the sent items

Dear All,
i'm using exchange 2010 and my client is outlook 2003.He sent one email inbound and its get error message that size of the message is exceeding the limit ,try to remove the attchements.etc...
i checked in outlook web access also,but not available.
But when i receive this error ,the user's original message was not showing either in the sent items or with the NDR message.

i have set email attachement limit as 10 MB.
please help me how can i find the message body of the original message from Exchange.

Hi Najim,
Before we go further, I'd like to know if all the emails which fail to be delivered are missing in the sent items.
If yes, I recommend you check if there is any transport rule to make it.
If not, I recommend you try the messgae tracking log to monitor the missing emails. The undelivered emails may be stuck in the queues and you can use the commend get-queue to check it.

Send Report By Email (Not Attachment)

Hi,
I have the following query,
select last_name, first_name, email from tableA where data is not null;
With the results of this query, I would like to send a customized letter by email, but not as an attachment, rather through the email body.
EXAMPLE:
Dear John Smith,
Thank you for your interest etc..
Can anybody help me with this?

I don't think I made myself clear when I posted the original question.
I am get the required result if I hard code the values in the url:

My problem is, I need to send this to multiple address, but these addresses will be generated at runtime. Therefore what I think I would need is a loop that executes the url, until all emails have been sent.

Browser and email not available

i have just received a blackberry 8800 v4.5.0.187 platform 2.7.0.109 and put in a talktalk sim which i believe is vodafone. the browser icon after fitting the sim shows up as vodafone live but when i click on it it remains in a state of requesting. I have a strong signal and have no trouble with calls and texts. Also when i tried to set up the email it asks if i want a work email or skip. I clicked the work one and it asks for a blackberry enterprise server password. Do i request this from taltalk or blackberry? and will my browser work if /when i get this password? Someone please help or i have wasted time and money on a not so smart phone..

Imported emails not available...

I just purchsed a new MacBook Pro. I imported all my emails from my G4 tower (from Mail.app 2.1) into Mail on the laptop. Some (but not all) of the messages show up. When I click on some messages this is what I see:
"The message from SENDER concerning 'SUBJECT LINE' has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it."
The messages all show up in Mail on my old computer. This is happening with messages from a variety of senders (i.e. they're not all sending from the same place).
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Please, clarify what exactly did you do to set up Mail on the new computer and to import your mail from the old one.

Reports Menu is not available in Websheet Application

I have installed APEX 4.2 in oracle 11g database 11.2.0.1.0 using Embedded pl/sql gateway method.
But When i am trying to create Reports in Websheet application, there is no menu name like reports.
Please help me to create reports in Websheet application.

Australia (East) hosted websites keep reporting they are not available

Hey People,
anyone else having fun with Azure websites hosted in Australia? In particular the Sydney (East) datacentre?
I've been creating and destroying Azure websites today, testing various things with the different CMS platforms. But this afternoon, my three active sites all started to fail:
Then they'd come back after 10+ minutes, but die again after about 30 seconds.
Acording to the Azure management console, I've got plenty of credit left and my CPU/etc usage is all well inside my quota (my subscription is an MSDN Premium one).
The Azure website I have hosted in Singapore (Asia South East) is fine. Just these Aussie ones have problems.
Any ideas? Are they having problems? The Portal says the service is up and the Mangaement console says my sites are up.
Am I missing something?

Can not see the option Execution with Data Change in the infoprovider?

i am using query designer 3.x, when i go into my bex brodcaster settings and schedule my report
i can not see the option "Execution with Data Change in the infoprovider",
i can only see 2 options
Direct scheduling in background process
create new scheduling
periodic,
is there any setting which i would be able to see the option "Execution with Data Change in the infoprovider"?

SSRS Data Driven Subscription Split Report on Email

I have a requirement to email an SSRS report to each of the individual emails referenced in the report.
Think of it is as a mail merge wherein there are 5 persons receiving the report.The Current SSRS Report contains 5 Letters. The Email Subscription dataset is identical to the one upon which the report is based and works as expected. The problem is that currently
it is sending the ENTIRE report to each email rather than sending only the report that corresponds to the applicable email ( I have heard this referred to as bursting the report).
Is there some setting that I may be missing? How can this be achieved?

After testing the issue in my local environment, we can refer to the steps below to achieve your requirement:
We should add a parameter named User in the report use User field as Available Values.
Add a filter as below in the corresponding tablix:
Expression: [User]
Operator: =
Value: [@User]
Deploy the Report to report server.
During the data-driven subscription, in the step 4 (Specify delivery extension settings for Report Server Email). Below “To” option, select “Get the value from the database”, then select User field.
In the step 5, we can configure report parameter “Get the value from the database”, then select User field.

I am having a strange problem. I had installed mail for Exchange 3.0 on my 5800XM couple of months back. For last couple of days the option of viewing the email in HTML mode is not available under options. The option comes back if I reinstall Mail for Exchange from Ovi store but goes away after any reboot.. The software version that I am using is 3.00(73)
Any suggestions from the gurus.

Oracle Not Available - DBA Studio

Hi,
I've just been installing Oracle 8.1.7 on a Win 2k P4 machine and everything went fine. Except when i log onto DBA Studio the 'Database & Instances Information' reports that 'oracle not available'.
I have seen another post in the forum recommending typing 'echo %ORACLE_HOME%' and 'set ORACLE_HOME=my_sid' but when I log back on i get the same error message.

did you login as sys/change_on_install and as BDA not as sysoperator or Normal. The deafult is normal. Choose SYSDBA from the dropdown box and your database is up and running.

SW Update: Start Time: Not available - Service is not running

Server Admin reports the "Software Update Service is: Running" in the Overview window. The clients are being updated from the Software Update server. The Server Admin tool also reports "Start Time: Not available - Service is not running". The Server Admin tool also reports "Last Check: Not available" from the "Settings/Updates" window. However, all new updates are available. Diskutil has verified permissions too. What needs to be done to correct the reporting?

Hi Jeff, if you try typing 'sudo serveradmin fullstatus swupdate' in the terminal what do you get?
If it still says stoppped then try typing 'swupdctl start'
I sometimes need to start it from the command line.
