Report server getting hanged frequently

Our Reports service on our Flexcube application server is always going down and this has been a case for a long time. We get errors like Unable to connect to the reports server when we try to print reports. We at times get the error Unable to connect to the reports when the reports server under OPMN is shown as ALIVE. we also have a case where the users will be able to generate reports but the status of the reportsserver will be shown as DOWN or NONE. when the reports server is down and we try to start it. at times the reports server wont start with error Exceed Max Connections Allowed OR Process (pid=21326)
failed to start a managed process after the maximum retry limit

Currently we are shutting it down and then restarting it, whenever it hangs, as a work around.
Please take this as a priority and suggest

My iphone5 is getting hang frequently after updating ios8

After updating ios8 in my iphone 5,its getting hang frequently (3,4 times a day).i have reset the device twice but still facing problems.battery life was great in ios 7 but worse in this.please fix this.

My iPhone 4 gets hang frequently.....

my iPhone 4 gets hang frequently. for example i am using an application and after couple of secs, i would not be able to exit from this application by pressing home button even after multiple times. some times in lock mode when i press home button to unlock it doesn't show anything where as pressing lock key i am able to unlock. now after unlocking them moment i would open any of the application, it would not allow me to close this app and open any other app although i can operate exisitng opened app but can not close this.
I have already resetted my iPhone with iCloud back but proble still persist.

I had the same thing with my iPod Touch or my iPad (I don't remember which). One day I fired it up and it randomly opened apps and typed stuff. I tried a restart with no success. So turned it off, sat down, logged on to apple.com, set up a genius appointment for that night or the next, took in, showed it to the guy, he said, "hmm, let me get you aother one. Do you have anything saved on this that you need?", got my new one, went home, had some green tea, went to bed.

SOA Server getting down frequently

Hi All,
Following are the versions:
WebLogic Version : 10.3.3.0
SOA : 11.1.1.3.0
We are facing frequent server breakdown issues.
But we could not find the root cause for it.
Does anyone faced this scenario ?
What could be the possible reasons regarding this server down issue ??
In the error logs too we could not find any valuable information .
Please add your suggestions.

Is this when u run certain process or its happening commonly when no process is running.
when its failing doea it give any datasource errors.
Which server shuts down admin or soa server, if its shuts down is it throwing overloaded first and then shut down.

In ECC application server getting hang becase of RFC's calls

When ever BOP jobs running on SCM system it is doing no of rfc calls from ECC system, almost all the workprocess is occupying and it is causing application server to be hang. We have created RFC logon Groups (RZ12) parallel_generators, the we assign these groups in SMQS, SMQR. Even though we are still facing the same issue.
Can you explain how logon groups use SMQS, SMQR and Could you please suggest how we can restrict the RFC calls?

Hi Mani,
I try to explain to you as simple as I can.
1) In your source system (APO/SCM), BOP batch program generate tRFCs/qRFCs and store them into outbound queue.
2) In your source system (APO/SCM), qRFC outbound scheduler send the data to target system (ECC) through RFC group (rfc resource management parameters works here), and maximum number of connection per destination (SMQS) can be defined to limited the connection to target system
3) These RFC connections logons to target system (ECC) through the RFC definition which you can use LB, i.e. logon group (SMLG).
4) Same number of work processes (as number of activated connecions) will be activated (running), these processes write the data into inbound queue of your target ECC system.
5) target system (ECC) inbound queue scheduler, pick up the data (trfc/qrfc) in the queue, and send to work process of RFC group(RZ12), these work processes execute the inbound processing application.
6) inbound processing appliation might generate outbound tRFC/qRFC, trigger above processing again (target and source system exchanged)
i would recommend you increase parameter rdisp/rfc_min_wait_dia_wp in your ECC system for now, and also decrease the "Max.Conn." of the ECC destination in your APO/SCM sytem for immdiate remedy.
You need review your system resource ad configuration, business scenarios etc in detail and then optimize your qRFC and RFC resource configuration.
You should be able to find a lots of oss note by searching use key words "RFC" and "resource"

Server get hang due to JDBC connections

[JDK 5, Oracle db, dbcp connection pool, tomcat application server]
Suddenly Tomcat which runs our application becomes dead slow. Total number of db connections goes around 30-40. kill -3 thread dump reveals dump similar to following:

If that is the problem then one obvious solution would be to not spend so much time scrolling through a result set that the pool decides a timeout is in order.

HP-UX: Oracle AS 10g Reports server hangs

I have installed Oracle AS 10g Forms and reports services on HP-UX. Initially Forms and reports were working fine. Presently forms are also working fine.
However reports started giving problem REP-56055: Exceed max connections allowed then changed the value of maxconnects from 20 to 100.
Presently reports server gets hang. If I try to run test report from the URL:

I am getting the following error message "No Response from Application Web Server " Can anybody please help me to rectify this issue.

Most of the times, the error REP-56055: Exceed max connections allowed is returned because some reports exections are hanging and keep the connection.
Have you tried to use the Reports engine attribute "engineResponseTimeOut" in order to kill automatically the reports execution that are hanging ?

Problem with oracle report server

Dear All
I have deployed Oracle application server 10g forms & report services on win 2003 server.
but problem is that after some interval report is getting hanged and not opening on web browser,
If i restart the report server then it will come very fast.
As i am new to this field Can anybody tell me how can i investigate the problem of report server.

you can modify the report engine in EM console, you can put one or more JVM for this as well that it have expiration day, this will be helpful, because you can put an iddle time, so when the engine get it, it will be restarted, as well max of process again will be restarted.

Custom Paper Size : Migrating from 6i to 10g report server engine

I'm studying to migrate form/reports 6i to 10G. In report 6i we have reports with custom paper size ("A5" format that is half of "A4", 15x21cm).
In report server 6i environment (Win2000 server) we have done this configuration.
- We configure printer; one input tray has "custom" format.
- We create an OS user (es. CustRep);this user has a "default printer" that has input tray with "custom" format as default tray.
- We create a new report server (es. CustRepSrv); this report server start as service with CustRep user credentials.
- Every report (PDF format) generated and printed (destype=printer,desname="My Printer") with CustRepSrv report server get custom format as paper size and so fit with Custom tray definition on the printer.
Can I do the same in report server 10G environment ??

Erroring with: REP-0178: Cannot connect to Reports Server

When trying to run the rwclient60 at Unix Command, shows the error.
Is report server name is given wrong or having issue in connecting to the report server.

It looks like your report server gets closed some how. Thats why everytime u start the ias services reports server gets started automatically

Report6i is getting hanged when i am using truncate command in srw.do_sql

I am using Reports 6.0.8.18.0 and oracle 9.2.0.1 on Windows XP with SP1.
I am having a report in which i have used "truncate table <tablename>" command using SRW.do_sql command. some times report is getting hanged and some times it is giving an error as given below
18:26:52 ERR REP-1425: 'afterpform': Error running DO_SQL package - 'Error parsing the SQL statement.
ORA-04021: timeout occurred while waiting to lock object <object name >
When i checked with the Oracle 8.1.7 database it is working fine.
is there any patches are requried at database side ?
