Please suggest t code in which we will get Plant, SLOC, Material wise qty and stock as on date with co code prerequisite
Hi
You can check the report using the T.Code S_P00_07000139 - Stock Card and Inventory Material Report for better reporting perspective. This report will list the stock value per movement by Qty to Qtyt and closing stock aswell for the specified period.

Is there any Standard report that gives the same values similar to T.Code : MB5B.
If there is no such Standard report apart from MB5B that shows stock as on a particular period with the stock movements.
What are the tables that i can use, to build in the same logic.

I have a SAP report for stock posting date with T-Code as MB5B and
the report name is RM07MLBD.
When I enter Material no, plant code , Movement type (101) and selection
dates for a month, The report is displaying but not break by Movement type instead it is showing all the movement type....?
Can anyone have idea about this

It clearly says that material group can't be changed in case you will use material master in purchase order.
So, it is clear that you can't use different material group for material master in purchase order.
For stock report, system will only show you the material group which is assigned to the material master (MARA-MATKL). System will not look into the purchase order section (like EKPO). -

Guys,
Please send me any Functional Spec or Technical Spec of the standard SAP report with tcode MB5B ( Stock as on posting date). Any document explaining logic or technical flow is very much useful to me..I need to understand the logic and what are all the underlying tables used. I will assign more points to anyone who help me.MB5B - Stock on posting date
The report Stock for posting date lists a company's own stocks in a particular time period (earliest date/Time 00:00, latest date/time 24:00).
The posting date is used for selection. Note that the posting date may be different from the entry date (date entered in the system) as well as the document date.
Starting with the current stock balance, the report uses the material documents to calculate the stock balance for the specified posting date.
Requirements
You need authorization to display material documents for all chosen plants (authorization object Material documents: plant, activity 03).
Output
Thisreport issues a list with the following information for each material:
Stock quantity and stock value on first date
Total and value of all receipts
Total and value of all issues
Stock quantity and stock value on last date
List of the material documents that were posted in the specified time period
To go to the detail screen for the material document item, place the cursor on a material document and choose Goto -> Document item
If you require more data and want a detailed evaluation, you can enhance the current layout or choose another existing layout via Settings -> Layout.

Requirement: Creation of new report similar to VA05u2026
The Sales team need to use transaction VA05 to show all open orders, for all order types. It currently takes 9 minutes to run an open order report, 11 to include exporting the file from SAP.
There are currently nearly 30,000 Finished Goods open order lines. 29,000 of these are 'Statistical TPI orders', or 97%. This produces a 14MB excel spreadsheet!
These orders have been responsible for process errors and generate confusion within the sales support area, and as order reporting is prevalent across all areas of the business these effects must be common to all areas.

This is new version of VA05 & it has many selection criterion... So that you can limit the output as required.
As far as creation of FD is concerned, it all depends on your Standard Process... Generally functional person will have to explain to ABAPer the Required Ourput Format, Feilds details from which the data is to be picked, etc...
It would be better if you prepare a FD which will clarify things to Business & Technical Team.

We need a report similar to Report similar to MC$4 which has the same drilldown capabilities but does not show absolute values, and instead shows the proper (actual) values.
Or if its possible to change something in the MC$4 report to show the actual values and not the absolute.

Your input criteria should contain all plant numbers and the period to be analyzed. Execute the report and then select: Plant Analysis\Export\Transfer to XXL\Deselect all options and tick Plant, Storage Location and Month. Follow the options to export to Excel. Report will be based on Plant, Storage location and Month.

Diagnosis
You have restricted the document selection by movement type.
Report MB5B determines the stocks and values using the material documents, and refers to the current stocks and values.
Restrictions by movement type force the system to only select material documents with the required movement types. However, if the selection does not return all documents, this can lead to incorrect information concerning the stocks and values at the start and end date.
Procedure
A restriction by movement type if only useful for displaying totals of receipts and issues within a specific time interval.*

MB5B can be used for subcontracting purpose, but this will show the stock on posting date. In table level MARDH & MBEWH are the period end balances for stock quantity and value. Please note that if the balance is the same as last period there is no entry in MARDH / MBEWH. Try to run the reports S_ALR_87012300 & S_ALR_87012301 for opening & closing balance of the subcontracting material. Try to use ADSUBCON for this purpose. Thanking you.

Can I create a result set filter on a SSRS Report similar to what you can do in Excel?
Asking this question in a different way...I have my SSRS Result set. Now the Business User wants to filter down a 15-page report to what they want to specifically see....Sooo my result set has a list of claims. And now the Business User just wants to see
the list of claims by a certain Provider, which is also in the report. So I don't want to put that "filter" on the front-end...within the Stored Procedure that is producing the report because they want to see everything. Is there a way to make SSRS
intelligent enough to parameterize the back-end result set? Or do I need to do it the old fashioned way by allowing for an optional parameter, let them run their report, define the available values by a query similar to the stored procedure filtering, and
let them drill down that way?
I have tried playing around with Dataset filters and a parameter using the existing result set and existing Dataset, but I just cannot seem to get this to work the way I envision. If this entails creating a Function or Procedure within the SSRS, bring it
on...I'm willing to learn. And I do have some VBA experience...so I'm not intimidated.
Again...I apologize for the similar type question, but I felt the need to be a little more clear.

Filters/Parameters on the Report Result Set
Request from the Business User to add "parameters" to the Report Result Set. Kind of like auto filtering you can do in Excel
Within the Report Design within Microsoft Visual Studio…
— Insert a new Dataset which is merely carving out the SQL from the working Report Stored Procedure and customizing the SQL for the DISTINCT values that you want
— Insert a NEW Parameter based on the carved out SQL
General → Allow blank value
Allow multiple values
Available Values → Get values from a query
Specify the previously created Dataset
Default Values → Get values from a query
Specify the previously created Dataset
— Insert a Filter back on the original Dataset that is used to create the Report
Expression → Choose the Report Detail Item column name
Operator → In
Value → Physically type in the Parameter Name created previously
Works EXACTLY as I had envisioned. Prompts for the From Date and Thru Date, runs the report, dynamically builds the "optional" parameters/filters,
and then allows the Busimess User to speify or drill down into the result set based on the dynamically built parameter drop-down list. -
Prompts in Reports similar to Pre-built reports??

There is a pre-built report called 'Top 10 opportunities' in 'Pipeline Analysis'. When we execute the report, it shows the prompts at the top (Fiscal Quarter, Fiscal year, Region). And depending upon the value user selects in these prompts the report data changes
I copied this report in different folder and tried to execute it through there. But then it don't give this prompts as in pre-built reports. Do you know how to connect these kind of prompts to the reports??
I tried to create a Dashboard prompt and link it to the report. But then it only works if I execute it through dashboard and if tried to execute the report from Report Tab then it does not show this prompts.
Please let me know if you have any input/suggestion on this

I don’t think pre built reports are designed using narrative reports. I think these are designed by using dashboard prompts. We could do the same and design a dashboard page with prompt on top but it will not work in direct report.
The alternate to do the similar prompts in report is by using the pivot table view (but pivot view will work if you have at least one matrix field). So in pivot view you can define the prompts on top and filter the report by that. But the disadvantage of pivot prompts compare to dashboard prompts is, these will be slow.
Try out by pivot view. Hope should help

in the report (mcta) it accepts only one currency and gives the o/p for that currency only but i want it to accept 3 currency types and give me the output for all the 3 currency types.

Creating a query to show info similar to MB5B
Hi there,
I am creating a query (similar to the information shown on MB5B) for one of our users to display material documents, material valuation class PLUS stock figures as of that date for multiple special stock indicators.
I have had no problems getting the material docs and valuation class and have set up a join for tables MSEG and MKPF which works fine.
The problem is trying to locate where the stock as of a particular date is held ? Is this information held in a specific table ? I have attempted to run through the ABAP code for MB5B to try and locate what the program itself does to retrieve the opening and closing stocks but can't seem to find the table that holds this info.
Any information welcomed! My next option if I can't get a query to do this, is to make a copy of MB5B code and make the necessary adjustments in the ABAP to allow multiple special stock indicators to be selected - although I'm not sure how big a task that will be !!

MSPR unfortunately is empty in our system, MBEW does show current stock but doesn't appear to be backdated (ie. a need to be able to retrieve stock for a material on a specific date in the past).

I have to create a report which is similar to SE16 for j_1abcd some table and the user should see customized input selection screen and He would enter data and it should display all the data satisfying the selection Screen
It should then display a List where he can select one or more lines and there should be some button to edit or delete data.
