Report-statistical WBS with assets assigned to them: actual costs

Hi all,
I would like to run a report that gave me this info:
WBS Element (all statistical)
Assets assigned to each WBS
Actual costs
It would be perfect CJI3 but it doesn't show assets. In AM I haven't see either any report that shows WBS elements...
any ideas???

You are right: it doesn't exist.
You have to create a custom one, of work with Excel with the aim of merge tha data from FI-AA, PS, and MM.

Hi
There is not a standard report which can cater to your requirements. You need to develop one.
You can take the refernece from CNS41 report for development. Some of the fields you need are PRPS-XSTAT for statistical WBS and will have to use tables ANLA and ANLC to fetch asset master data.

An statistical WBS element is an SAP object . Statistical means that you need another object to post the cost or income, let's say,an asset.
Actual costs are the real postings you have in an object, coming from MM, SD, GL ... (just the contrary as budget or planned values).

Thanks for your reply but this is not the question.
The question is:
Example:
I have 100 WBS Elements. Each of them has an average of 5 assets assigned. (what makes 500 assets)
I post lot of invoices in each asset.
I would like a report that tells me at once the total actual amount posted in each ASSET and group those costs by each WBS element.

Statistical wbs and assets

I am aware that statistical wbs do not settle. However, someone told me that it is possible for a statistical wbs to direct post to an asset. I believe they said the asset number was part of the wbs number. But I don't remember all of the specifics. Is anyone familiar with this?

Use Transaction IE05 - it is a Standard PM Module report that has Equipment number and Asset Number.

u can get by creating sap query using Logical data base PSJ, where u need to select the wbs, equipment and asset no. as selection criteria and o/p field can be sap per u r requirements.
For creating sap query use t.code sq03, sq02 and sq01 .

OTL with Projects and Payroll Integration - Actual Costing

How does the costing work when we have the OTL integrated with Projects and Payroll? (R12.2.4 functionality - Actual Costing)

As explosion process is based on elements, it only applies to payroll. You can use this functionality with Projects and Payroll Timecard Layout, but project will get the non exploded hours.

Reporting WBS with orders assigned

We have a WBS elements structure just for planning and budgeting purposes. Each WBS has several type of orders assigned (investments order, and overhead orders) in order to receive all the actual postings.
Does someone know if it is possible to see through a standard report in the system the orders assigned to this WBS element?? I mean, if filling in only the WBS (PLANNING) in the report we can see the actual data (orders) for making comparisons????

You can use S_ALR_87013532 for Plan / Actual Comparison.
& S_ALR_87013537 for Budget / Actual Comparison of you WBS structure.
If you are interested in viewing Budget / Plan /Actual comparison in a single report you can create a new report form in CJE1 and execute that report in CJE0.

Error while creating Multiple Items Shopping Cart with Asset Assignment

Hi All,
I am creating Shopping Cart with multiple items for different Assets.
Example: I have Two Assets (Asset A with the budget of $1000 and Asset B with the Budget of $1500) in the back end system.
Asset A assigned to Order 102649996 (value - $1000) and Asset B is assigned to Order 102645121 (Value - $1500).
I am trying to create Shopping Cart with Two Items for Asset A and Asset B (which are available in Back End).
I created First item (001) in the Shopping Cart for Asset A and Value $750.
I copied the First Item Details to Second Item (002) and changed the Asset as B and Value $1000.
When I click on Check tab in Shopping Cart Browser, the SRM System is giving the Error Message like
Item 001 Order 102649996 budget exceeded
Item 002 Order 102649996 budget exceeded
I am getting the above error, only when I copy the first item details to the second item while creating Shopping Cart.
Actually the Budget is not exceeded (Asset A Budget is $1000 - First Item and Asset B Budget is $1500 - Second Item) and SRM system is taking the order 102649996 (which is assigned to the Asset A) for the Second Item 002 also.
Kindly let me know the Solution or Please let me know do we have any OSS note to resolve the issue.

Hi. It is a "feature" of SRM.
I asked SAP about it and did not get a good response.
If you enter Asset A, it will copy the internal order number from that asset into the cart. You can not see the internal order in the web, but you can see it in BBP_PD.
If you then change the asset to asset B, it will not refresh the internal order number.
This means you get internal order A on asset B.
It happens any time you change asset number, so if you copy a line then change you will get this problem.
We ended up using the BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI to RFC into R/3 and update the internal order number.

SAP report (MB51) prints with slash overtype on qty and cost fields

We recently installed a new printer, and it is printing slashes through the fields. It is not the actual slash character, I think, because the angle appears to be steeper. Some lines are croshatched, with the slash and backslash overstriking the same area.
It does this on the quantity, and the Amount LC fields.
Any ideas?

did you manage to solve this problem? It happens to all fields that has a color. In case of forwardslash green and when it is red it is croshatched. Printing in color it prints correctly.

Asset budgeting through Statistical WBS

Dear Experts,
I have configured and assigned Statistical WBS to Asset to carry out active budgeting. To my knowledge I have configured all relevant configuration but when I create PR over this Asset, WBS field is not updated in the PR and therefore no commitment / budget check is performed.
However, in this same scenario I created internal order and assigned it to WBS. Here then I assigned the Internal Order to the Asset. Budget check in this case runs fine.
As you may see from figure above B-OA01-001-001 is assigned to an Internal Order where it correctly carry out commitment / budget check when I create PR against Asset with Internal Order as Investment Account Assignment. Also it displays Internal Order number along with Asset number in PR account assignment tab.
But when I assign WBS directly to an Asset in origin tab of Asset Master no budget check is carried out while creating PR. Also WBS field is also not updated in PR account assignment tab with Asset.
Note: Budget in both cases is assigned to WBS element.

You need to do settings in T code ACSET... You must assign WBS Element in ACSET against APC postings

Incase you dont find these in dropdown list in ACSET, activate them in ORFA > Integration with the General Ledger> Additional Account Assignment Objects > Activate Account Assignment Objects

No Error when Statistical WBS is closed

Hi,
I had created Statistical WBS elements and assigned this to Maintenance orders, System allows me to close the WBS element even when the Orders are open and also allows me to assign & issue materials without checking the budget ( as the WBS is already closed).
How system allows closure of WBS when this WBS element is assigned to some orders which are still open ? Is there any user exit available to prevent this ?

Hi Vindoh,
The reason being your WBS is statistical. Statistical WBS are only meant for statistical postings. You cannot settle them or carry overhead. Just try to maintain settlement rule on statistical WBS and you will get the following message
Statistical WBS element: No surcharges, settlement etc. N-000298
     Message no. CJ714
Diagnosis
     A statistical WBS element cannot be settled, nor carry overheads, nor
     can results analysis be carried out for it. Therefore it does not mak
     sense to maintain control parameters for these functions for statisti
     WBS elements.
System Response
     If you have identified the WBS element as statistical, these control
     parameters will not be displayed in the work breakdown structure.
The real cost objects are Cctr or Orders. They are only meant for reporing or exercising budgetory controls mainly during Asset procurement.

Reports on Statistical WBS

Hello All,
Do we have any report on which we can see the statistical WBS postings? Also is it possible to view along with WBS, the cost centre on which the actual costs are posted?
The only way I could find is run any of standard reports and use dynamic selection criteria for doing a search on Statistical WBS/Project defn. Is there any other way to report it, as the report doent specify anything as statistical and also the costs posted are seen as actuals. This is confusing for end users.

CJI3- Actual Line Item Report can show you the statistical postings. You can identify them using the value type against each record.
You can also create a variant in report using the dynamic selections (Shift+F4) and use the master data field on the WBS ' Statistical' .
