Hi Friends,
In a report, creadted a chek box in selection-screen.
based on the logon language that check box label and also report title(in attributes) will be changed. how to change it .

Maintain Translation in all required languages.
Ex: Translation in German
Navigate SE38 -> Goto -> Translation ->Original language = 'EN' Target language = 'DE' Press Enter
Maintain translation and Save. Do similarly for all required languages.

You can't change the canvas at runtime. But you can put the scrollbar on a stacked canvas and then show or hide that stacked canvas on different canvases.

I have a portal page that contains some portlet reports. I am displaying portlet title and default Customize link on thie report. My requirement is to set this Title at run time based on the parameters provided by user in Customize form for this report. all parameter values that the user can modify in the Customization form are stored in the Portal preference store. You can access them using the Portal PLSQL public APIs available in the PDK. Portal Reports allow you to add PL/SQL code when the reports is being displayed. Hence, you can read the parameter values and set the title to your liking.
For example, the following PL/SQL code reads the department_id custom parameter value and sets the portlet title to the current date plus the department ID.

I added this code to the "... before displaying the page." field for the Reports column on the Additional PL/SQL tab of the reports definition. The report was based on the employees table that had the department_id column.

Sequence will not validate with run time prompts in business rules

I am in Hyperion Planning v 1.1.1.3, with Workforce initialized. I am creating a sequence of business rules. The rules use run time prompts within them and validate when used on their own. However, when I insert them in a sequence the sequence will not validate, apparently due to the run time prompts.
The sequence returns the error: Cannot calculate. Essbase Error(1200323): Error parsing formula for [FIX STATEMENT] (line 7): expression expected after [(].
Line 7 in the business rule is as follows:
FIX ([rtpYear],[rtpScenario],[rtpVer],[rtpCC],[rtpBU],[rtpEmp])
The problem is not isolated to this business rule, it occurs with any rule I try.
Can sequences function with run time prompts in the included business rules?

I have figured out that if any rtp is hidden in the business rule, the sequence will not validate. Is this expected behavior for sequences?
Additionally, hiding the variables in the sequence has no effect if the variables are not hidden in the rule. When launched from a menu in a web form, the user is prompted for values for all variables (except for the Execution Database Name) although they are prepopulated based on the members in the POV, Page, etc. Is this also expected behavior?
I also find that it won't validate if "Merge launch variables" is selected (I have included rules associated with different plan types and with different dimensionality, so this may be expected). The user is prompted to provide values for every variable in each rule in the sequence, many of them duplicates (though, again, they are prepopulated based on members in the form).

Sub-report link doesn't work at run-time

We have a main report and a sub-report linked to main-report. On clicking the sub-report link in the CR 2008 designer, sub-report page with data is rendered properly. Same doesn't work programmatically at run-time using Java SDK library (JRC). Any thoughts/suggestions?

How to get report (SQL Query) generating Run Time

There is a Standard report of Payroll which show employee transfer information on the bases of location, grade job or organization, now to get actual query which is generated by run time in report builder including whether single column parameter or lexical parameter " because currently the query in not complicate but the parameter and lexical parameter is much more due to this not quite easy to under stand just copy past it into toad or pl/sql developer,
Kindly share your experience to get such kind of query in you working time.

How to create a variant to a report from another program at run time

when i am using FM : /OSP/REPORT_CREATE_VARIANT to create a report variant from a program then i am getting an error 'For object /OSP/ERPNR , number range interval 01 does not exist ', how should i avoid it or can any one help me out to create a report variant from another program at run time with the results of the program.so that i can execute the report from here with this variant

If i understand you,
- You can use a FM like [RS_CREATE_VARIANT|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/advancedsearch?cat=sdn_all&query=rs_create_variant+&adv=false&sortby=cm_rnd_rankvalue] to create a variant and then use it in the [SUBMIT|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_03/helpdata/EN/fa/096d67543b11d1898e0000e8322d00/frameset.htm] statement USING SELECTION-SET.
- But you may also use SUBMIT with WITH parameters which doesnt require variant creation and with much less programming efforts.
- You can mix the two solutions also.

Run time error in ALV editable

Hi Gurus
I am getting a run time error when I edit a field in the ALV report and press enter. The run time error is : GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED. It says I tried to access an unassigned field symbol. I have not used any field symbols in my field catalog or anywhere. It also says that the location of the termination was : cl_gui_alv_grid .
I have to get this report working today at anycost. Any help will be very useful

Executable not working - Looking for LabVIEW Run-Time Engine

This has been one of those days.
I'm trying to create my .exe file to place onto another computer. I've done this before with success. But that was then and this is now.
I believe I have all the files I need in my LLB, and I believe I did my application distribution correctly and I believe I built the DLL correctly. But when I took the resulting .exe file and placed it on another computer and attempted to run it, it gave me the error message: "Unable to locate LabVIEW Run-Time Engine. Program requires a version 7.1 (or compatible) LabVIEW Run-Time engine. You should have already realized this, you moron."
Anyone have any idea where I went wrong or what step I might have missed? This has been a crazy, non-stop, massive brain fart of a day and I can't seem to remember what I'm missing here.

Hi.
Whenever you want to use executables or .dll's created with LabVIEW you must make sure that the LabVIEW runtime engine of the SAME version as the LabVIEW version used to create the files, is installed in the target computer.
There are basically 2 ways to get the run-time engine installed on a computer:
1. (the one I prefer): Download the correct version of the LabVIEW run-time engine installer from www.ni.com/downloads, or more specifically from
http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/369618104E25B08E86256F54006A4E2F?opendocument&node=132050_US
for the latest one. Once you have the installer for the run-time engine, just install it in the target computer. I prefer this option because the run-time engine is installed independently, so if you then uninstall your program, the run-time engine remains.
2. Create an installer for your program that includes the run-time engine. To include the run-time engine, when you are creating your application, go to the "installer settings" tab, click on "Advanced" and make sure there is a checkmark on "include LabVIEW run-time engine". This way when you install your program in the target computer, the run-time engine will also be installed.
Just as a note, any computer with LabVIEW on it, will also have the run-time engine.

I am trying to develop a data web bean in which the where clause of a View Object will be set at run time and the results of the query then displayed.
My BC4J components are located in one project while the coding for the data web bean is in another project. I used the following code bu t it does not work. Could you please let me know what I am doing wrong?

Error 1722 when installing Run-Time Engine 6.0

I am unable to install the necessary LabView Run-Time Engine 6.0 required to run my VitalView Software. I have reviewed the message boards and attempted all possible solutions: disabling anti-virus programs, following the NI support links: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/334E91287EDEA75286256D9B003A947A?OpenDocument.
None of these methods will allow for the Run-Time engine to be installed. What can I do?

My OS is Windows XP.
I am trying to install an older LabView run-time engine since my application VitalView asks for a LabView 6.0 Run-time engine (or something compatible).
I have attached the jpg of the error message that I receive whenever I attempt to install the LabView engine.

Using Select Expert Criteria in a Report Title

Hello,
I can't quite figure out how to get a select expert criteria in my report title.
My title is "Sales by Customer from Jan 1, 2007 to Aug 31, 2007" but I want to be able to have the dates in that title reflect what the user has given as parameters.
So if the user selects July 31, 2007 as the end date, I would like the title to reflect that. I'm less concerned about the format of the date that how to bring it into that text area.

oh you are not using parameters to do the date selection (i'm guessing you have a reason for this)simplest way for you to achieve what you want would be to create a couple of formula within your report and use those instead of your hard coded dates@begin_dateDATETIME(2007, 08, 01, 00, 00, 00)@end_dateDATETIME(2007, 08, 31, 00, 00, 00)@report_title"Sales by Customer from "& @begin_date &" to "&@end_datein the selection expert put in{SOP30200.DOCDATE} in @begin_date to @end_dateso if you wanted to modify the start and end range change the values inside the 2 formulas, your report title will reflect the changes but this really should be done with parameters to allow more flexibility (but i leave that up to you to decide)

How do I build a command syntax at run-time in Forms 5?
E.g., I want to call a stored procedure from a trigger in a
Form. But the name of the stored procedure has to be selected
