Report to Delete Document Versions

Hi All,
I'd like to delete versions of documents, that has no current version.
The reason is that we enabled the "Preserve Version Histories" option in the Repository Manager.
And with that all versions will be stored in the database although there is no current version with that I can retrieve these version.
So we want to delete them all, but I dont know why. Can I use a standard report for this?

Hi,
I think this is doable by means of a custom made report. If a report is not sufficient some custom code will do the job for sure. However if you want to have this running regularly a report is may be the better option.

I think you can use the class cl_crm_documents. I use that to check if a product has a document or not, with the business object type corresponding at "bus1178".

Report for deleted documents

How can we get the report of all the deleted documents.
The documents were deleted for many times by running MCDOKDEL program. Now the client wants the report of all the deleted documents with user & date information.

As far as I know there is no report which gives list of DIR deleted with name of User and date. As this program deletes the record completely from data base.
But for future you can design report which will create a report which gives details of deletion.

Report on Deleted Parked AR Documents with 'Z' status

Hello Experts,
Any suggestion to obtain the list of deleted parked AR documents which did not get posted in the past. We created AR documents and were not sure about VAT treatment and were parked but later managed to invoice the customer separately. Subsequent to this, we have deleted the parked AR document and I know when these parked document gets deleted, document numbers are marked by a letter 'Z' and you can get a report BY DOCUMENT NUMBER. Is there any standard SAP report that can be run BY CUSTOMER to see all deleted parked documents for that customer only.
Appreciate valuable suggestions to achieve the above.

Hi,
use S_ALR_87012293 - Display of Changed Documents to check the deleted parked docuements or any status regarding parked document.
Here if you select park doc radio button and give input document type and posting key, then you will get the customer/vendor/GL related docuements . Take that dump and put in the table and give input of your customer code.it will shows those documents if any.

Running Aging reports based on Document date in 2007

Hi All,
I have an issue while running the Receivables aging report in the 2007 version. The customer usually runs the reports based on the document date. Document date holds more importance in their case.
However, in the 2007 version, the aging report is totally governed by the posting date. For example, if I change the aging date, the posting date also changes to the aging date and viceversa. If I want to change the aging date to 01/31/09, the posting date u2018Tou2019 automatically changes to 01/31/09 and when we run the report, it will bring in all transactions until the posting date of 01/31/09.
But, the requirement is to leave the posting date as blank and give the document date u2018Tou2019 01/31/09. This will then pull all transactions until the document date of 01/31/09 irrespective of the posting date.
As a result, when you run the balance sheet with the document date of 01/31/09, receivables show a different balance. This discrepancy is due to the fact that AR Receivable aging report forces to keep the Aging date = Posting date.
This was not the case in SAP 2005 version where we were allowed to key in the aging date and the document date to get results based on document date.
This is very critical as they have recently upgraded from 2005 to 2007 and they are unable to reconcile the balances out of Balance sheet and Aging.

We tried that as well but no luck. There is still a discrepency between what the aging shows and what the BS shows. When we put the Aging date as 01/31/09 and Document date as 01/3109, the posting date 'To' is automatically filled with 01/31/09, so it basically searches for all transactions with the posting date 01/31/09 and document date 01/31/09. This is not the requirement as we do not want to consider the posting date at all while running the aging.
I also have some screenshots if I can share. I am not sure if I should report this to SAP for further investigation or am I missing something here.

Access Denied while trying to delete document

In SharePoint 2013, if the user ONLY has contribute access to a library, (user does not have access to the site) and if the user tries to delete a file, it throws an error message.
Access Denied: You do not have permission to perform this action or access this resource.
permission inheritance is broken on library level, Contribute Permission does have these options checked delete files, versions, and view application pages, but can not delete file.
If read access is provided to the site level, then user can delete file, why is that ?
using SharePoint 2013 Standard Edition.

Does the user get the error both from the ribbon and from the "...", "..." menu?
If a user has the Delete Items permission, but not the Use Remote Interfaces permission then they can delete files from the ribbon, but when attempting to delete from the content dropdown (Edit Control Block) will get Access Denied.
I'd like to try to duplicate your problem...
Is versioning enabled? Major or major and minor versions?
Is this consistent with all document types? .txt, pdf, docx, etc.
Is the file in a Document Set?
Is there a workflow running on the documents?
Is the document assigned to a custom Content Type?
Any other settings?

So we have develop new Z report in which we are getting material but that value is not matching with AS03.What could be reason.

new in the subject; could you please tell me how can I set the validity dates for a Document Version? I set the status "Release" and now I can see under Extras >> Versions the From and To Date (today and 31.12.9999) . Is there any way of changing these dates ?

You can use the classification and based on this report you can develop a new report which allows you to work on this information like set document version to invalid.

Cannot upgrade or delete existing versions of iTunes and apple software

I keep getting an error message:

I cannot upgrade or delete existing versions - the Apple software installer seems to be the problem, but I can't find the file above and delete or uninstall it. I've tried uninstaller programs.
Can anyone help?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Dear Laxmi,
if You cannot see it by FB03, It means tha,t during the posting, something happened and therefore It was saved into BKPF and not in BSEG for example.
By SM13 You could try to post it again.
Or by the report ZFINDEX try to understand which is the problem and where.
Anyway It is not correct to delete it. You can correct it and then reverse it.

There's really no mystery to uninstalling earlier versions of iWork. Just go to your Applications folder and trash both the iWork '05 and iWork '06 folders. But first make sure you remove any of the documents you may have created with them. It's not necessary to delete any other files.

The problem is that one file cannot be deleted:
oracle.ifs.common.IfsException: IFS-34608: The latest VersionDescription in a VersionSeries cannot be freed or deleted

Search documents in SOLAR02: filter deleted documents

Dear all;
When we use the search functionality in SOLAR02, it brings all the documents, even the ones that were "deleted" using the button "Delete row" (I know we should alway use the "Delete document", but some users are starting with solman and make mistakes).
Is there any way to filter those documents when searching? We have the workaround that every once in a while we use a report to delete unused documents (ie the ones deleted with "delete row"), but sometimes those documents had a link in their attributes, so they are still referenced, so they dont appear in this report as unused.
