Report to identify Inactive objects

Hi,
I faced some issues after Upgrade,
where there were certain transactions that gave dump saying that a particular field or table doesnt exist.
but when I went thru SE11 I did find those fields and tables in Active Mode, but even showing it Active, I activated it and later when I ran the t-codes which gave me dumps, didnt show any dumps.
So is there a report or a way thru which we can identify objects which are Inactive even after the Upgrade ?
Rewards for worth.
Aditya

Hi,
Go through this blog.
http://theguruspeaksaboutsap.blogspot.com/2007/09/upgrade-transaction-spdd-spau.html
You can also go to se80 and select inactive objects from the list box. This will show you all the inactive objects.
Reward if helpful.

    Hi,
You can get the pur grp description by the table T024.
In SAP the release will be effected by relese code, which will not be assigned to the user. But however you can find who released from the table CDHDR by providing the transaction code in the field ME52N.

  • Problem identifying db object for "buffer busy waits" event.

    10.2.0.3
    AIX 64
    SELECT username, a.p1text, a.p1, a.p2text, a.p2, a.p3text, a.p3, event FROM v$session a WHERE
    a.status='ACTIVE'
AND a.event = 'buffer busy waits'
Query reports about 40 active sessions with this information:
    file# 3746
    block# 2
    class# 13
    select
    owner,
    segment_name,
    segment_type
    from
    dba_extents
    where
    file_id = 3746
    and
    2 between block_id and block_id + blocks -1;
    no rows returned
    SELECT MAX(a.file#) FROM sys.file$ a
    3535
This was only a temporary situation when after couple of minutes(7) wait event "buffer busy waits" dissapeared completely.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you,
    Daniel.

Side 55 points at extent allocation too small/too many extents being allocated for File Header Block buffer busy waits
A couple hints from the documentation:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14211/instance_tune.htm
"To determine the possible causes [of buffer busy waits], first query V$SESSION to identify the value of ROW_WAIT_OBJ# when the session waits for buffer busy waits."
"To identify the object and object type contended for, query DBA_OBJECTS using the value for ROW_WAIT_OBJ# that is returned from V$SESSION."
"V$SEGMENT_STATISTICS - This is a user-friendly view of statistic values. In addition to all the columns of V$SEGSTAT, it has information about such things as the segment owner and table space name. It makes the statistics easy to understand, but it is more costly."
You may want to query DBA_TEMP_FILES for the specific FILE_ID identified by the V$SESSION. Taking a look at V$SEGMENT_STATISTICS might also be helpful.
Are you using dictionary managed tablespaces, locally managed tablespaces with manual extent size management, ASSM with manual extent size management, or ASSM with automatic extent size management?

  • HP UFT (QTP) Can't Identify Delphi Objects

We're using Delphi 2005 (version 9) with orpheous.
When we use the Object Spy in HP UFT, a generic name is shown instead of the actual delphi name. For example, our Report Screen would be shown as "DelphiWindow" and additional screens will be shown as "DelphiWindow_1", "DelphiWindow_2", etc.
Obviously this doesn't work when we try to run the test because it can't identify the correct window. What do I need to do to allow UFT to retrieve the name correctly? I have tried doing the same steps in TestComplete and it was able to identify the objects correctly. What's the difference between TestComplete and UFT with regards to object identification?

You can use the object repository to learn objects in your application.
    - Click Object Repository Icon
    - Click "+" icon to add the objects you want UFT to learn.
    - Your screen will then get a pointing icon which you can point ot the application window / panel/tab you want to learn.
    - Select "Learn All objects" on next window. This is preferred since you can later decide which ones you want to keep.
    - All the objects will be learned and added to your object repository according to their hierarchy.
    - You can now refer these objects in your test cases
    Few points to note :
    - You need to compile your test application using the MicDelphiAgent.pas in project DPR.
    - Some Delphi custom controls such as DevX are still not detected completely. So you need to use the Delphi Add In Extensibility Guide or "HP Unified Functional Testing Add-Ins Guide" to see how to extend the Delphi Addin to recognize the custom controls you require.
    - In my experience, all standard Delphi VCL, Windows, Raize are detectable.

    Hi Manish,
Make sure you have saved and activated all your dependent objects. If you have imported RFC structure then check
for e.g. ZGET_STOCKQUOTE is your imported RFC structure then make sure its saved and activated.
Then try activating your message mapping.

    Hello,
I believe you are on the wrong forum. Application Express is a web development tool, and from your questions you probably should look under the E-Business Suite forums (http://forums.oracle.com/forums/category.jspa?categoryID=3).

  • How to activate all inactive objects for current user

    Hi
How to activate all inactive objects for current user ...
... I have found a (long winded) way to do this:
    - Environment / Inactive Objects
    - Add to Worklist
    - Display Worklist
    - Select All
    - Activate
this will open a dialog titled "Inactive Objects for <username>"
which has the exact functionality I need ... but I can't figure out how to get to this dialog directly - without so many intermediate steps
the SAP docs repeatedly mention the ability to activate the inactive worklist - but do not mention how
does anybody know the TCode for this dialog?
    thanks
ps does the term "mass activation" apply to importing change requests rather than development activation?
    Edited by: FireBean500 on Jun 4, 2010 11:07 PM

No other way. But usually it's far more simple as all objects are already in our own worklist.
I wonder why your objects are not already in your worklist, as everytime you create or maintain an object, it is added to your worklist.

  • Report to identify the requisitionsu2019 coverage

    Hi,
This is a requirement of a report to identify the requisitionsu2019 coverage expressed in production days according to the production schedule horizon.
Once a requisition is created either manually or automatically by the MRP, this report should be run in order to identify how many production days (in the production schedule horizon) are covered by the actual stock level, open purchase orders and purchase requisitions.
Please let me know any standard SAP report?

    Hi,
i am looking for a tool, program that can search all our reports installed on Business Objects Xi R3 for specific content in text fields and formulas.
We used a couple of years ago .rpt inspector, that worked pretty well for our purpose.

  • SMS_AD_SECURITY_GROUP_DISCOVERY_AGENT - Active Directory Security Group Discovery Agent reported warnings for 524 object(s). DDRs were generated for 0 object(s) that had warning(s) while reading non-critical properties.

Hi, can anyone help me troubleshoot the following please:
Active Directory Security Group Discovery Agent reported warnings for 524 object(s). DDRs were generated for 0 object(s) that had warning(s) while reading non-critical properties. DDRs were not generated for 524 object(s) that had warnings while reading
    critical properties.
Possible cause: OU name or Security Group name may contain at least a Unicode character which has conversion problem between Unicode and your system ANSI locale(e.g. Korean characters in English System Locale). The site server might not have access to
some properties of this object. The container specified might not have the properties available.
Solution: Please verify the Active Directory schema for properties that are not replicated or locked. Refer to the discovery logs for more information.
Does the error relate to 524 security groups? There are several invalid search paths listed in adsgdis.log, are these related?
    Thanks,
    Dale

You'll have to examine the log to determine exactly which objects its referring to. Although this is in the context of group discovery, group discovery still creates DDRs for computer objects within those groups so it could be either groups or computers.
This is not a search path issue though as it's clear that the discovery process found 524 different objects, but as stated, it could not properly read criticial properties of those objects and thus did not create DDRs for them.
As mentioned, reading the log in detail will list the objects individually and the reason it could not create a DDR for it.

Any help to fix this issue.

    Hello Karthik
I know the list is long. Unfortunately I have never had such a long list of inactive objects in the system during an update or upgrade. But I believe you can make use of the mass activation program RADMASG0 to have them activated. The other option I can think of is to use the function module RS_INACTIVE_OBJECTS_LIST to list all the inactive objects and see whether they can be mass activated from there. I believe it is possible to activate all from there after selecting a block. (Never tried so I cannot guarantee).
    Regards

  • Crystal Reports published on Business Objects Enterprise Server

    Hi all,
I am having a few difficulties after i save my crystal report to the Business Objects Enterprise Server XI 3.1.
    1) for the reports with static parameters the "Crystal Reports Print Control" doesbnot work. It gets stuck and i guess cannot load the print function. Don't know what exactly causes it but i made two similar one field reports and saved them to the server. One with a dynamic parameter and the other with a static parameter.
The report with static parameter could not be printed.
This happens when i use the HTML viewer for crystal reports. I cannot use the activeX or Java viewers as they mess up the formatting of my Arabic reports.
    2) For some reports i get one type of parameter screen (like we get while running through the designer) while for other reports i get a different type of Parameter Entry Screen. Sometimes when i view the report first time i get the former type of parameter screen and when i refresh the report i get the later screen.
    3) Also my dynamic parameters are not showing all the values when the reports are saved to the above mentioned server. On my desktop i made the LOV registry tweak and it works fine. I did the same tweak on server registry but it is not working.
Thanks a lot even if u read it
