Report to report  by RSBBS

Hi  experts,
I created Sender/Receiver assignment from query'A'  to query'B'  using RSBBS.
I found that I even can't find  item 「jump」  at rightclick menu  in report 1 generated by 'A',
but in report 2 generated by 'B', I  jumped  to report 1 with item 「jump」  at rightclick menu ,
then, in report 1, item 「jump」  appeared and also can jump to report 2.
※by the way, I did the same setting to report 1 and 2  in WAD.
Why I can't  jump from report 1 to 2 as I executed report 1 at first
※sender:query  'A'  u21D2report 1
    receiver:query 'B' u21D2report 2
how can I solve that, Please help!!

Hello Ri etsuhin
You can find some good information about the RSBBS at the following link:

  • Report to Report Interface Error

    Hello,
I have a summary query which needs to go to detail query.  I used the RSBBS transaction to designate the sender and receiver query.  I can see the "go to" option in the context box when I try to link from my summary to detail and see the detail query as available.  However, when it tries to transfer, I get the following error.  I know these queries are saved and active.  I can run them each independently but cannot get the Report-to-Report Interface to work.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Lynda
    error:
query &v2 on infoprovider &v3 can't be assigned to the dataprovider &v1,
because it does not exist on the BW Server.

    Hi Chandran,
Thank you for your reply and the two links.  I am reviewing the assignment details and have a few questions.  I currently only have 2 fields assigned - as variables - material and plant.
Everything else is set to generic.
My first query is driven by one date variable which I created which takes a default of January 2008 and pulls Feb - Dec (used offset +1, +2, etc).
The summary report comes up with correct data.
Material   Plant UOM Yearly Budgeted Amt  Jan/Yr Feb/Yr March/Yr   etc
The user then wants to drilldown to detail behind a month.  i.e.  Jan/Yr
I created the detail query to ask for material and plant which then provides
Material   Plant   Purchase Order Main Vendor  Freight Vendor UOM Qty Recvd Price and Freight Amoutn
There will be multiple Purchase Orders.
One thing I am not sure about transferring fields.  Do I need to designate the month/year as a variable in my detail query along with material and plant?  I am a bit fuzzy as to the whole process.
Someone I worked with before mentioned that the sending query will pass the fields on the line where you click "go to"????
Thanks for your patience and help...

  • Bex report to report interface dynamically based on Value in the query

    Hi,
Is it possible to change the destination of the report to report interface dynamically based on the data of the bex query?
For example my query has the below data
    Plant | KPI | Quantity
    P1 | A | 20.00
    P2 | B | 25.00
When the user selects KPI A I want to navigate to Query 1, and when KPI B is selected to Query 2. Query 1 and Query 2 have completely different layouts, Instead of create to two destinations is it possible to pick one based on the KPI selected.
Is this possible in Bex report to report interface or any other way.
    Please suggest
    Thanks in advance.

  • Report to Report

    Hi,
I have a report in which I have inserted 3 more reports using report to report interface.I have the following doubts.
When I run the first report and select GOTO option it shows me all the remaining 3 reports. If I execute the second one, after the execution in the goto option I cant see the remaining 2 reports and everytime I need to go back again to the first one and select the 3rd report. Isn't it possible to drill through to the 3 query or the fourth from second? Or do I need to insert the 3rd query in the second query in RSBBS? But if I do so then I wont be able to drill through to the 3rd query from the first one, isn't it?
One more thing I wanted to know is,say for example, I have 2 variables on the first query and 2 on the second, but when I goto the second query from the first, I am not getting the 2 variables on the second and instead it directly throws the result depending on the entries in the variables of the first query. Is there a way to be able to display the variables of the second and the third also? How many queries we can insert into one query?
Please let me knnow your thoughts...
    Thanks.

    Hi,
When you execute your first report and give the material number and select 2nd query, the material number is not taken as the 2nd query doesn't have that selection for that field.
From the 2nd query when you are going to the 3rd query, the 2nd query becomes the Sender and the 3rd query becomes the Receiver.
In that case,It is not possible to send the material number from the 2nd query(Sender) to the 3rd query(Receiver) because those values are not present in the 2nd query.
In RRI interface, the Receiver query should contain variables for the selections that you want to pass from the Sender but if the Sender doesn't contain values for these selections, they can not be passed to the Receiver.
Since your 2nd query doesn't hold any information about the Material number, this data will not be sent to the 3rd report.
Therefore, if you need all the selections in the Receiver report to get values from the Sender report, you need to ensure that the values for  those selections are present in the Sender.
    Hope it helps.

  • Using Report-to-Report Interface (RRI) in BEx Report Designer?

    Dear experts,
I would like to know if it is possible to use Report-to-Report Interface in BEx Report Designer?
From what I read from this article
[(Creating Formatted reports using BEx Report Designer)|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/00ae5173-6112-2d10-d78f-e7779d269f25?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true], the RRI capability of query is not supported in BEx report. So is it true? And are there any workarounds to enable/emulate RRI capability in BEx Report?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Joon

    Hi Joon,
It is possible to make RRI in BEX Report Designer by using Transaction Code - RSBBS .
Here you need to give the Target Query and Source Query names and than you can easily connect two reports or two levels of same report.
For further step wise description please check the below SDN document :
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/607e63d5-b56f-2c10-718f-8e33a08baa89?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true
I hope this document helps to sort out the queries.

  • RRI (Report to Report Interface)

    Hi all
i search in forum and i got a ans., but i'm not able to understand this., what is reporting to report inter face(RRI)
t-code RSBBS., when do we use., can u pls explain me this one and as wel give on scenario Can u pls give brief and
    step by step scenario
    Kind

    Hi krisna,
Report-To-Report Interface is used to navigate from One Report To Another Report. Say for example Your Manager wants to view Yearly report(YTD) which gives sales for Jan, Feb, Mar etc.... he aswell wants to view detailed monthly report for any month say for march..... by right clicking on YTD report he should get Monthly(MTD) report.....so this can be achived by RRI.
In RSBBS you will have to assign the Source query(in this case it is YTD report) and Target query(in this case it is MTD report). Means the user is able to view YTD and MTD at same instance. Its just like drilldown between reports. Let me know if u have any doubts?
    Regards,
    Vishnu.

  • Project Report in Report Painter

    Hi,
Need your help for one of my issue.
Current issue in the System / reqirment:
There is a project report in report painter-GR55 which used to provide planed / actual cost and planed / actual quantity of the project. Whenever we are trying to run the report for several years and periods there is no cumulative data displaying. E.g. if we want to execute the report for the range of 001 period/2009 fiscal year to 004 period/2010 fiscal year, system is displaying data of 2009 and 2010 for the period of 01 to 04 only and there is missing data for period from 05 till 12 in 2009
    Root cause:
There is no field in table-CCSS for the fiscal year/ period (FISCPER field name). As per the OSS note-157720 this is standard behavior of report painter. SAP suggested to build new report group based on OSS note-157720.
    Approach:
An an alternative we used table-RWCOOM as there is field fiscal year/period (FISCPER). The new report group is working fine except planed cost of the project as the planed cost of the service orders are added up to project planed cost. We found there is missing field name-Object indicator which will restrict planed cost of the service order flow into project for which planed cost of the service orders are added up to project cost plan. This field-object indicator is available in table-CCSS.
Looking for now to fix the issue:
    Option-1
We are looking for any field similar to object indicator in table-RWCOOM which will restrict planed cost of service flow into Project
    Option-2
Build new report based on OSS Note-157720.
    Please advise for this issue.
    Thank you in advance.
    Regards,
    Rakesh

    Hi Eli,
Thanks a lot for your suggestion. A small query i got here while building the auxilarry coloumns-2 and 3.
As per the Note (157720), in the auxilary coloumn-2 for the period we have to define period as 0 .....from period-1. Whereas my from period will be 1 and i can't provide from period-1 here
In same way for Auxilarry coloumn-3 period details as per the Note will be To period +1 ...17 whereas my to period will be  12 so i may not enter the details.
System will forbid if to period value is less than from period value.
Could you guide me on this.
    Thank you for your cooperation.
    Regards,
    Rakesh

  • How to get the project name in a Reporting Services Report in a Project Site?

    Hi,
I developed a report using Reporting Services where I need to choose a project to see the report. I want to include it in a Project Site template using a SSRS Web part. As the report will be in a project web site, I would like the report appears automatically
showing the project of the site without the need of choose of the project.
Can it be done without developing a complex code?
PS: Project Server 2013 and SQL Reporting Services 2012.
    Thank you.
Best regards, Ricardo Segawa - Segawas Projetos / Microsoft Partner

Unfortunately there are a number of ways to navigate to a project site. (From Project Center is another) - Covering them all is not an option.
Like I said before there are two options, using a server-side web part - or using client-side code like the following: (just put this in a content editor on the page of your report and it will ensure there is a ProjUid on the query string)
    <script

  • Can not see the report in report manager/admin tab

    Hi,
in 8.49 on Win 2003 some users can not see the reports in report manager/admin tab. PS user can see them.
Should we add some grants in user profile ? Which ? Any query to compare that user profile with PS ?
    Thank you.

On the administration page, you will be able to see "View Reports For" header on the top.
Under that header you will see the following fields:
    User ID/Type/Last/Status/Folder /Instance
Above values will be used by PeopleSoft to filter and display the list of reports
If the user has selected Status as Processing and saved the page, PeopleSoft will only show reports which are in Processing status.
If user runs a report and it has been posted, it will not show up in report manager coz the filter value is set to Processing.
Hope this helps. I dont think Permissions has anything to do with this since user is able to view the page.

  • Unable to insert sql server reporting services report viewer webpart

    Hello,
We are trying to add a SQL Server Reporting Services Report Viewer and when we click add we get the following error message
The file you imported is not valid. Verify that the file is a Web Part description file (*.webpart or *.dwp) and that it contains well-formed XML.
Does anyone know what the fix to this is?

    Hi,
The Report Viewer Web Part is a custom Web Part that is installed by the Reporting Services Add-in for SharePoint Products and associated with report definition (.rdl) files that are processed by a Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services report
    server.
To install the Web Part, you must run Setup for the Reporting Services Add-in. You should not install or uninstall the Web Part independently. It is part of the add-in and can only be installed through the add-in setup package. The Report Viewer Web Part
file name is ReportViewer.dwp. It is located in the Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\15\template\features\reportserver folder and should not be moved to other folders.
To use the Web Part, you must have installed and configured the Reporting Services Add-in and configured the report server for SharePoint integration.
