Report to report hyperlinks 10g

Question

I have been developing a report which calls another report via a hyperlink set using srw.set_hyperlink
Until now it has not been necessary to enter the host name in the url and the hyperlink is set as:
srw.set_hyperlink('rwservlet?reportname....
When clicking the link in the report the hostname was automatically appended and the link worked.
I have recently come back to the development and the link no longer seems to append the host name. We have recently upgraded to 10g AS is this a known thing or could it be something unrelated.
Old documentation:
"Now we need to embed this URL in the master report which shows the customer orders, but make it sensitive for a particular product id. A point to note here is that it is not required to embed the hostname. We are calling this URL from another, and thus when the browser sees a virtual URL for a hyperlink (such as /ows-bin/rwcgi60.exe?item+100871), it will

Also before I had code in the "BEFORE REPORT TRIGGER" which fired before the "REPORT ESCAPRES > BEFORE REPORT VALUE" now the value that is referenced from the before report trigger is not picked up implying that the report escape is done before the before report trigger. I have added table inserts to the before report trigger which show the value is valid.
Can anyone verify this ?
