  • How to add SAP BI or BEx Reports on Reports Work center link in WEB UI

    Hello All,
I have question, How to add SAP BI Reports on Reports Work center link in WEB UI? I found an article on SDN but could not understand. Please provide all steps in detail.
    Thanks,
    BMW

Hi BMW325ci (I hope you have the latest model )
    Here are the steps:
    1. have the BI team create a webversion of the report. (not required when calling a query directly
    2. create in SPRO --> CRM --> UI Framework --> UI Framework Definition --> Display SAP NetWeaver BI Reports in CRM the reports you want to display
         e.g. BI Report ID         Z_DYBE_GROSS_SALES_CUST_MAT
                Long description              Revenue per customer/materialgroup
BI Object Type                  HT Template 3.x  (depending on your BI version)
                BI Object Key                 ZWCOPALM01_PPS_REVENUE_ARTG_V2
BI System                      (when using the webtemplate, nothing needs to be filled)
    3. create in SPRO --> CRM --> UI Framework --> Technical Role Definition --> Define Navigation Bar Profile
        a. A logical link for each BI report.
           e.g. Logical Link ID ZDB-ACC-DE
                  Type    D BI report
                  Target ID       DISPLAY
                  Parameter       Z_DYBE_GROSS_SALES_CUST_MAT
                  Parameter Class CL_CRM_GEN_UI_BI_UTIL
                  Icon Name       GC_ICON_REPORTS
                  Title           Revenue per customer/mater.
                  Description     Revenue per customer/materialgroup
       b. Include in the relevant Report Work Center Link the logical links you have created in step 3.a
          e.g. Group ID        SLS-ACC-RE
                 LogLinkID ZDB-ACC-DE position 80
       c. Make sure that your work center link is assigned to the work center
          e.g. Work Center ID  SLS-REPORT
                 GroupID  SLS-ACC-RE position 10
       d. Make sure that your work center is assigned to your navigation bar profile
at this moment the report is linked to a standard workcenter, which can be shown on the webui.
    4. In your business role, you need to of course make sure that the flags on the workcenter entries are set on show in menu and directly.
This should give you the complete picture.

  • How to link a webi report from crystal report

    Hello everyone,
I am trying to link a webi report from crystal XI.
In my crosstab, the data is divided grouped by periods.
So for every country it shows data along a period of time.
The details for the value of the crosstab are in a webi report.I am trying to pass the period value and country name as a prompt from crystal to webi but it is not picking them correctly.
can we pass prompts from a crystal report to a webi url??

Try to use OpenDoc URL to pass the parameter values from crystal to webi. To use OpenDoc URL you need to publish these reports in server. See the following example
    http://server name:8080/businessobjects/enterprise115/desktoplaunch/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sType=wid&sPath=[folder name]&sDocName=Child&iDocID=4804&lsSEnter+State:=California

  • Hyperion Planning - Link a web analysis report in a data form

    Hi all,
is actually possible to link a web analysis report in a planning data form? I tried from a custom menu but discovered that isn't possible. Any other way?
    I'm working with Planning 11.1.2.1
    Thanks

    Hi Raffounz
Indeed, it is possible to link a web analysis report in a planning custom menu.
    Follow this procedure :
    - From the explorer :
-> Go to the folder where your web analysis report is stored
-> Right click on the document and left click on "properties"
    -> Copy the "smartCut" link
    - From your planning application :
-> Edit the menu where you want to link your webanalysis report :
-> Create a URL item and past the link in the input field

  • BODS Management Console link in WEBI Report

    Hi All,
Need help, can we create a link for BODS Management Console in WEBI report ? Is it possible? I created one but it is not working for me. Ideally, when we click on the link, it should take the user to the login page of Management Console but that is not happening.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks,
    Purnima

It worked Sathish. Some server issue earlier I guess. Thanks Much .
    Have a few questions :
    1. Is it possible to create a link, in WEBI, to a document (.txt file) which is stored on BODS server?
    2. Does BODS store error and warning description in BODS system tables? I know that it stores error log file path but I am not sure if it stores error description anywhere.
    3. AL_SCHED_INFO table contains Job Scheduling information. But does this table contain the next scheduled time anywhere in this table?
    Please help.
    Thanks Much,

  • Link from WEBI chart to WEBI report

All, how can I link a WEBI chart (column) chart to an detail WEBI report. Appreciate any inputs.
    Thanks,
    Ann

    Hi Ann,
You can use the chart bars as reportfilter (much like the dropdown box filter effect),
It is actually implemented as an input control, so you can control a detail table below the chart by clicking on a chart bar.
However hyperlink from the table is not possible in BI40 (yet).
(Right click the table, Linking, Add element link).
So you either have to use the data in the same report option, or use the hyperlink option from a table cell...
(Right click the cell, Linking, Add hyperlink).
As I noticed you are using BICS, before jumping to using dashboards (FKA excelsius), be aware that the BICS connectivity in there is still the version running on BW, so unlike a WebI report, you have to publish the dashboard in BW and access it via an SAP portal environment, you cannot run it directly from within BI launchpad (in BI41 this will change). So to link from the portal environment to the BI launchpad for the WebI document you would need some portal integration work too.
    Hope this helps,
    Marianne

  • Linking 2 web I reports

    Hi,
I have a requirement to link 2 web I reports i.e one report's data should depend on another report's prompt value. I am new to webI. I don't know whether it is possible or not.
I have 2 web I reports. In the first report, when I click on one field's value, this value should be taken as a prompt value for the second report, then second report should be displayed with the according prompt values.
I have taken State field in first report. when I click on any particular state, that state value should pass to the second report as a prompt value.
Is it possible? I have tried with "openDoc" function. But didn't get.
    Please help me on this.
    Thanks in advance.

    Swathi,
Did you successful with 1st opt??
    FYI...,,
    OpenDocument URL command syntax
An example of the syntax to use when you want to create a hyperlink on a state object to open a document with sales details for the state appears below:
    ="<a href=""http://<server_name>:8080/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?""&sType=wid""&sDocName=DetailedSalesReport""&lsSEnterState:="Replace([State];"";"%20") + "> "[State]"</a>"
The below divides the example of syntax into understandable arguments, and provides an explanation for each argument.
Note: Each of the syntax arguments are joined with a plus sign in the formula bar.
    Syntax argument  ==========================  Explanation
"<a href="      ============= The opening HTML syntax for a hyperlink.
http://<server_name>:8080/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp? =========== <server_name>:8080, used in this example, is
specific to the BusinessObjects Enterprise server. You can find this name displayed in the address bar of your browser's address toolbar.
Note: The port is 8080 for Tomcat web servers.
"&sType=wid"  ================ The type of document to be opened, in your case, a Web Intelligence document.
"&sDocName=DetailedSales Report"  =========== Your Document name(Report) Note that spaces in the name of the document are replaced with a + sign. %20 can be used in place of the +. %20 is the HTML encoding symbol for a space. This parameter can be substituted with the sDocID.
    "&lsSEnter_State:="+Replace( [State];"";"%20")  ==============
The prompt parameter which will be passed to the document being opened.
Notice that this argument has to match exactly with the prompt created in the first document. In this case, a single parameter is being passed (lsS).
    Additional parameters are available:
    u2022 lsM for multiple values
u2022 lsR for a range of values
The object name in brackets, [State] indicates the data from the main report to be passed to the linked report.
The Replace command is used with the value to replace spaces in the value with the HTML symbol for a space.
Multiple prompts can be listed in the code. You just continue to string them together with the + character to concatenate the pieces.
t">"+ [State]     ============= Required HTML encoding and the object name that indicates to the document which data to show in the table. Once you have formatted the column in the Web Intelligence table, the State values in this case appear as hyperlinks.
"</a>"      ============= The closing HTML code for a hyperlink.
    Summerized :
    ="<a href =" + "http://webwasqwn1.ecorp.cat.com:8322/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sType=wid&sDocName=fsitem&lsSEnterItem Node Name:="[Query 2].[Item Node Name](If IsPromptAnswered("Enter FS Items") Then "&lsSEnterFS Items:="+URLEncode(UserResponse("Enter FS Items:"))) + [Object] + "</a>"
    Thank You!!

  • Report Not working in the Web Browser

    Hi ALL ,
Am working on a item SKU report . The report is running fine in the BIDS but once i try to view the report in the WEB Browser
tried both Mozilla and Internet Explorer no data is shows up .
The report has 2 report filter one is on the service and the other one is the item sku its a multi - parameter  that contains
a list of more than 6000 different SKU . Can the filter be the reason for the report not displaying in the web browser.
If yes kindly advice me what the workaround for it .
I tried having the filter in the  SQL main query but it was of no use no data it was showing after having the ssrs report filter
at least right information its showing but in the BIDS not in the main web browser.
    Kindly Help
    Priya

    Hi Priya,
According to the description, I understand that there are parameters (@SKU and @SKUlist) in the report, and SKUlist parameter is multi-value parameter. When selecting values of the SKU parameter, the parameter SKUlist will display corresponding values. In this
case, you should create cascading parameters, right? And you use parameters to filter the report.
Because the data of the report can be shown in the Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) environment, the issue only occurs after deploying the report to report server. Based on my research, I think it may occur because of web browser issue. I have
known you use Mozilla and Internet Explorer to view the report but there is still no data.
In Reporting Services, not all report functionality is supported by all browsers. In this scenario, I suggest you considering the aspects of the setting or third party add-ons of Internet Explorer (IE). You can refer to the steps below:
    1. Click Tools -> Internet options.
    2. Switch to the Security tab, click Local intranet, and then select Default level.
    3. Switch to the Advanced tab, and click Restore advanced settings.
    4. Temporarily disable third party add-ons. For detailed steps, please see the link:

  • SharePoint - Web Part - SQL Server Reporting Services Report Viewer Error.

    Hi,
I was just having a bit of a fiddle with the differen't web-parts available to add on our local SharePoint site, and as one of my tasks is to have a report automatically open when the page is opened i thought i would try to add the web-part 'SQL Server Reporting
Services Report Viewer' just to see the outcome.
Now, I don't much care about viewing the report at this time, but imediately after trying to add the web part i am being displayed with an error and no matter how much i navigate away from the page or close the browser the particular link to the page i was
trying to insert the web-part into now displays an error.
The error simply says 'An unexpsected error has occured' with various 'Correlation ID:' each time.
Now i have a link to other parts or subsites of that SharePoint site and they work just fine, it's just when i try to click on the page where i wanted to put the web-part in it
still comes up with an error. This page just so happens to be the home page so it really does need to be fixed.
    Please help!?
    Many Thanks,
    Plain_Clueless

    Hi again,
Sorry for the bother, We have now fixed the issue for the time being.. all that was needed was a simple '?contents=1' at the end of the url which takes you to a menu where you can delete the
necessary web-part that was causing the trouble.
As for actually implementing the report onto SharePoint.. in future i will make Dev pages instead.. and it seems i may need to contact the admin side of building so they configure 'SQL Reporting
    Services Report Viewer' properly.
    Thanks a lot though!

  • How to secure my report i published on the web

    Hi All -
I installed Oracle10g Reports and forms standalone on my server and successfully published all my reports on it.
    Question:
Can someone pls tell me how can I secure my reports on the web. looks like anyone can just copy my link and paste it on the web broswer and can open it.
    i.e. http://<server_name>:7778/reports/rwservlet?report=<report_name>.rdf&destype=cache&desformat=html&userid=<user_name>/<password>@<dbname>&paramform=yes
Also, I did save the user id and password in cgicmd.dat file. But is it possible to have the web page prompt for a user id and password for the database or something everytime i try to open the link...Please respond ASAP..it required...
    Thanks in advance..
    Anuj Sharma

It is possible to show web page where userid has to be entered before running the report. Please specify "userid=" in the URL or in the command file (cgicmd.dat) to get db prompt. For example,
    http://<server_name>:7778/reports/rwservlet?report=<report_name>.rdf&destype=cache&desformat=html&userid=&paramform=yes
Other option secure it is either to use OracleAS Single Sign-On or security plugin. For more information on security plugin, refer to Chapter 10, "Securing OracleAS Reports of the Oracle Reports Publishing Reports to the Web" manual, available on OTN: Serviceshttp://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/appserver101202.html

  • Report to Report - Web Application Designer

I have created a simple template using BEx Web Application Designer. The Query I've picked is set up with receiver reports. e.g. I want to do a report to report interface from the data in my template to another query and another template. However when I choose Goto on the data and select the query I want it opens the data but opens it using a template I havent created. A standard template? How do I get the query I go to to open with one of my templates? Do I have to do some linking somewhere?

    Hello Joel,
Have you put your new template in 'Set standard web templates'?
Txn rscustv27?  this may not work but it is worth a try. u would need to put it in the bottom option.
Another way to do this would be to create an iview for each query and in the the query properties you can assign what template you will use under 'bex web application query string'.  The iView properties can be found in the Portal Content Directory.  i think this will definatley work.
Also one other thing to look at in WAS is the RRI options (in the properties of the web template).  This may have something in there.
    Enjoy your friday.....
    Nick.
