Best practice of OSB logging Report handling or java code using publish

Hi all,
I want to do common error handling of OSB I did two implementations as below just want to know which one is the best practice.
1. By using the custom report handler --> When ever we want to log we will use the report action of OSB which will call the Custom java class which
Will log the data in to DB.
2. By using plain java class --> creating a java class publish to the proxy which will call this java class and do the logging.
Which is the best practice and pros and cons.

Thanks for the links, they have been helpful.
I understand now that OSR is only meant to contain only Proxy services. The synch facility is between OSR and OSB so that in case when you are not using OER, you can publish Proxy services to OSR from OSB. What I didn't understand was why there was a option to publish a Proxy service back to OSB and why it ended up as a Business service. From the link you provided, it mentioned that this case is for multi-domain OSBs, where one OSB wants to use the other OSB's service. It is clear now.
Some more questions:
1) In the design-time, in OER no Endpoints are generated for Proxy services. Then how do we publish our design-time services to OSR for testing purposes? What is the correct way of doing this?

Assigning the KE80 report to Z transaction code

Hi friends
My functional consultant has created a report in KE80 transaction code using report painter. But due to some reason we cant give the authorization for KE80 to the user. So my functional consultant told me to create a Z tcode for a perticular report. I have assigned the program name to a Z tcode. But the selection-screen is coming differently in z tcode compare to ke80. In z tcode it is showing some extra fields in selection-screen. Apart from that after running the report the output is not coming in list format it is always starting printing. But in KE80 we can see the output in list format.
Please give some idea to solve this issue.

Have u copied the transaction code to a Z code or created altogther a new one?
Coz if u have created a new one, then it might be possible that the type of transaction created is different on from the needed.
Its better you copy the transaction into a Z transaction and actiavte.
Try this as this mite be the issue.

How can I see all files used in a Report or Transaction

I need an expert advice. I am not an Abap programmer but probably this is the the correct forum to post my question.
I need to create a Query using same files that are used in report S_ALR_87012103 and some other additional files.
Is there any transaction or functionallity that I can use to see the files used by this report ?

Thanks for your message. I just reviewed the files in SE36.
So I guess, next time I will have to check the name of the program in the status bar or the system status screen.
Then, I will have to use SE38 in DEV to see the "Dictionary Structures" in the source code.
However, on this case, I can not find the "KDF" in the source code or "Dictionary Structures".
Other than you technical expertise ... How did you know that this program is using the KDF Logical Database.
On my case, since I am not an Abap programmer, I would have to review all files described in the "Dictionary Structures" which by the way they are a bunch of files.
I prefer the logical view. I liked the way the files are displayed using the SE36 and "KDF"

Recently I have been unable to acccess my local weather or other zip code weather reports on the Weather Channel using my laptop. My wife has no problem accessing from her laptop from same location.

This problem is new. I have always been able to access the Weather Channel's website and obtain weather reports for various zip codes. I have Window 7 and use Firefox and Google. I have The Weather Channel as one of my Bookmarks. The site comes up when requested but the three locations that I had listed are not evident and when I type in the zip codes nothing comes up.

Hi there, I have the same problem with my envy 17ts-j100. I was trying to recover and I had a reset failed massage to I powered it off and went to sleep. The laptop won't boot to bios with symptoms as above.

Maybe you already know this but the font settings is a cluster of 4 elements: 2 integers and 2 strings. The 2 integers are character set and weight. They default to -1. The two strings are font name and font size. The default to blank strings. Are you wiring this cluster into your font settings terminal? Do you have -1, -1, Arial, and a number for font size inside the cluster (I use 4 for HTML reports)?

Can not see ABAP code of programs and FM using SE37, SE38, SE80

Hi, all!
When I try to open ABAP-code using transactions SE37, SE38, SE80, they don't display it. Instead it current mode hangs, but I can open another one.
System ECC 6.0, SAP_ABA package SAPKA70021, GUI Patch 17.
I have 2 laptops, one of them works with these transaction properly, another gives described problem. Other my colleagues don't have such problems.
Can anybody help me to solve this problem?

I had the same problem the problem than you, the problem isn´t the gui, the probelm is the msxml parser .

My original problem was the "SAP signature theme" was black and with a lot of problems, changing to "Enjoy theme" everything appear works perfecly, but when I tryed to display any source code the screen was thinking without end.
The problem is solved uninstalling any SAP software from your machine also msxml program from SAP and reinstalling first msxml 4.0 and msxml 6.0 after shut down install sap logon behind, when ended everything will work again.
This my actual version and it works.

The code executes well with no problem and get all datas from tables into table in PDF report from c# windows forms.
But here is my problem how can i align Title(DCS Clinical Report-Technician wise) center of pdf report with image named:logo5.png immediately coming to it's right?.
As the problem i am facing is my title or Header(DCS Clinical Report-Technician wise) is at top of my image named:logo5.png and not coming to it's center position of my image.
Second the problem i am facing is how to add new entire row to top of existing table in pdf report from c# windows form using iTextSharp?.

I’m sorry for the issue that you are hitting now.
This itextsharp is third party control, for this issue, I recommended to consult the control provider directly, I think they can give more precise troubleshooting.

Report to know serial number used in mvt of materials during posting period

We are using serial number management, can anybody help me, which transaction code can give the report for all serial numbers used during movement of an materials in the specific period.

Hello Madhukar ,
Unfortunately , this information is not available in the SAP system. Only the current stock information of a serial number is stored in thet EQBS table. Although there is a serial number history , (where you can see the assignment of a serial number to a material document and thus implicitly gather stock information) , no report exists for this matter.
I am sorry that I do not have a better aswer for you at this time but this fucntionality does not exist on the standard SAP system. Please let me know if you have any further questions or if I have misunderstood your issue. Thank you.
