Report where material no material length ,& material width are needed

I am working on a report for the stcoks material detail but i am unable to find the table where the details of length & width of the material is stored I have tried almost all the possible ways like ST05 , report evaluation, RECORDING , WHERE USED LIST BUT UNABLE TO FIND the table .
SCENARIO IS that my mm consultant has made a batch class using class type 023 where he maintained the length & width of material . i am to make a report similar to RMMMBSTEN where length & width are
shown in tcode MMBE . kindly help me with elaborated steps .

Report on Vendor selection according to material group

Hi gurus,
I have a requirement from client where the client want a report of the vendors according to material group.
There is a standard report for this in SAP T.C.---- ME6B. But this report is not working . it is throwing message that no vendor exists for the selection criteria. Material group has been maintained in Material Master record. Vendor master records exists. Please tell me is there any customising that may be required to generate this standard report.

The data in the MATKL (Material Group field )in table EINA is not getting populated , could you please tell me the reason or any customisation required for that as all other field in Table EINA is getting populted.

Report to see the consumption wise material report

Hi,
I want to know is there any report in which we can get material consumption wise report for particular period like i want to see material whose consupmption in more than 500 number in last 4 months, annd other material whose consumption is less than 500 material for each month in last 4 months.

I think you can get what you want with transaction MC.A
execute it, when seeing the result, you can press F6 to exchange the fields you want see in the report

In BAAN there is a provision of coding a material obsolete or dead. Do we have a similar kind of provision in SAP? If yes, then where can I code a material dead or obsolete and how can I get the list of all obsolete or dead material.

The concept of Dead stock & Slow-moving are:
1.Dead stock is a product of purchasing, sales, accounts receivable and company philosophy. The product gathers dust and you lose money in the process.There is no one person or group of people to blame for dead stock. Dead stock is too often purchased because of lack of knowledge and communication between sales and purchasing.
2.Slow-moving items may be classified as items that have less than six months of demand in the preceding 12 months in your company.
T.Codes for the above are:
MC50 - Dead Stock,
MC46 - Slow-moving items,

Hi Samson,
U can create a new material type using the tcode OMS2 and then copy the material type which u need to modify and then define the name of the new material type and make the required changes which u want for that material type and save it.

What is the criteria u are using to find out material groups?? If it is on the basis of material type DIEN (services) then go for T code MM60 put material type and u will get all the materials with material groups which has material type as DIEN.
Also u can directly go to SE16 and in T023 table find all the material groups.

Material Group - OMSF
External Material Group -
SPRO --> Logistics - General --> Material Master --> Settings for Key Fields --> Maintain External Material Groups
Product Hierarchy -
SPRO --> Logistics - General -->Material Master --> Settings for Key Fields --> Data Relevant to Sales and Distribution --> Define Product Hierarchies.

Can I use the fields Product allocation and Basic material for bifurcation of material

Dear Users,
We have a requirement for bifurcation of material so we need two field in material master for fulfilling the requirement. First requirement is material category like insurance or revenue etc., second requirement is department wise like electrical, maintenance etc, so i have choosen the fields 'Product allocation' in basic data 1 screen in material master for fulfilling department requirement and then in basic data 2 i have choosen 'Basic Material' field for fulfilling material category requirement. My doubt is whether this change will effect the reports and i need to know the effects of such changes.

As you are trying to use the standard fields, so you can read the F1 help for these fields.
Also check in which table and program, the fields are used.
Read the F1 help and find the table and program by using this document How to find Table name for a Field which is shown structure name on press F1.
After reading this, If these fields are suitable for your requirement, then you can continue.

There is a place in SPRO where i can define the material type for packaging.
Logistics - General -> Handling Unit Management -> Basics -> Define Packaging Material Types
How can i create a material using this material type? What is the use of material type here?
Whenever i create material in MM01/MM41, i get the standard material type list.

In T.code: OMS2, you can get standard material type list.VERP is the standard material type for packing material.You can copy VERP and rename to ur material type( as it is ur business requriement or else u can use same VERP)
What is the use of material type here?
With the help of ur Material Type , u can craete material like The material type,will be used while defining the material
master.At that time,in Tcode:MM01,first screen we need to
mention,(material type)it show the nature of material
ex:-engineering product,finished products,semifinished
product,etc.,
It also play vital role on material numbering,material type in comination with plant & valuation class, play vital role in inventory & accoputning.
To Create Material,use t. Code: MM01,
Step-1
Enter Material Code: ( example-Polythene Bag, If External Number Range or leave it blnak)
