Report who continues formatting until the end

I have a little problem with a report I must review. Normally, you run a report and it stop at first page and you can see it. Later, you will can go to next pages or until the end if you want. But this report continues running until the end without stopping. Can anybody help me?

I don't know if this will help you or not, but I've noticed that when you run a report it will generate the number of pages that you viewed the previous time you ran the report. For instance: If I run a report and look at the last page, it will automatically run all of the pages the next time I run the report, however if I only go to page 5 then the next time I run the report it will only generate to page 5.

She said that in the system my husband took an upgrade July 29th 2013. He didn't even have a Verizon phone, he had a work phone with T-mobile. I have asked what device he supposedly upgraded to since no phones have been activated and we all still have our same phones and numbers. Remember at the time, said husband had a work phone with T-mobile. I still have the very same phone as do all of the rest of my family members. No one has upgraded. I spoke with "customer service" for more than a half an hour today, Char promised me that her supervisor (Emily) would call me back by 7:30 tonight to clear up this problem. Well guess what? No call back so where should I go from here? Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help.

Another update: The one month free trial software is no longer working for me as a work-around.
Also: I tried to open up my Adobe applications from two other machines that I have in the house, but it did not work. I received the same subscription renewal popup loop. This leads me to the conclusion that it is strictly an issue on the Adobe Licensing Server side, and NOT a localized issue with something wrong on my system.

How do I create a table of 3 data elements for each trial and have it updated instead of waiting until the end of the program?

I am trying to record 3 pieces of data, all (software) timing in ms (in U8 integers). I managed to finally get each data in the right column but now it doesn't record anything in the table and it doesn't update the numeric indicators during the experiment like it should. I can't figure for the life of me what I did wrong. I know at least the trial part of the program works, but so far the data recording part is giving me a headache.

Why it is not reporting the data is easy; fixing the program may not be. LabVIEW uses a dataflow paradigm. This means that no part of the program executes until all of its data inputs are availble. In your case the table and the array functions driving it are fed by outputs from the outer while loop. Thus no data gets to the table until the while loop has finished executing (which is at the end of your experiment). One possible approach would be to store the data in a shift register and move the table inside the loop.
Many experienced LV programmers try to avoid or minimize the use of sequence structures and local variables to read and write to/from front panel objects. We use a state machine which is a while loop with a case structure. Queues can be u
sed to pass data between the user interface and the data acquistion loops. This subject is too involved to be handled in a brief posting, but if you search the archives and examples you can learn more.
Also, be aware that software timing can be problematic if you are using a desktop operating system. If the OS decides to check the net for software updates or something you could have large discrepancies in your timing. These might be rare, but there is no reliable way of detecting them. I have built several systems similar to what you seem to be trying to do and have never been successful with software timing.

Report won't print to the end of width in Oracle E-Business Suite

I desperately need help to setup Reports 6i layout. I created a report for a 8.3 x 11.69" and it seems fine when I print directly from Reports Developer but when I register it in Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2 it won't print to the end of page width. It always cut the print in about 3/4 of page width. I already setup the report as a text and pdf but still no success. Enlarge the width and height of the report won't help either. Anyone can suggest something to help? Thanks.

Output of Report in PDF Format on the Web

I am running my application developed in developer 6i on the web. When is take the output of the reports in HTML format the output comes fine.
But when I set the report output format to PDF from registry the browser does not open the file & gives the message error opeing file. But the file is accurately created in server's temporary directory which can be opened separately without reports server.
I am using IE 5 & also tried 6.
I have installed Forms & reports server from developer 6i CD without 9iAS.
Somebody gave me the answer that there is some bug in reports server. Is it really a bug ??? Another thing is if it is a bug, it also exists in 9iAS.

CG36 - Import report - No file format in the key file?

Transaction CG36: .Key files are successfully checked by u2018Check directoryu2019 in transaction CG36. The second step is the import process. The Import shows u2018greenu2019 successfully. But the Job description shows the following message:
No file format in the key file test.key

During the report import (CG36, Dok-X), the workstation application is defined using the FFT entry in the key file, as displayed above, the key file as FTT=PDF defined correctly.
We have processed the customizing settings which are required and described under: Report Import: Check Additional Settings (under EH&S u2013 Product Safety > Interfaces > Import and Export > Basis Settings for Import and Export).
Is anybody familiar with the issue: No file format in the key file?
What do I do wrong? Is the above Key file structure incorrect?
Is configuration in SAP DMS required?

my assumption would be: there is a typing error in the key file. If the content of the key files is like what you have published you must use in the key file
FFT=PDF
and not
FTT=PDF.
No further information is necessary and the other data seems to be perfect.

PS: if necessary my be you could check DMS customizing. By standard EH&S implemenation a document type "IBD" should be there whiich is used for e.g. pdf file.
PPS: I have no idea why the reimport check does not show up this issue.

Reports 6: Character format within the field

Is it possible to apply different types of formatting (bold,italic,font size changes and font type changes) to a text within same field using Oracle Reports 6i? We are generating PDF files using Oracle Reports (legal documents) that must have proper formatting within the field and can't find way of doing it dynamically. Text for the field is pulled from the database - it is not hard-coded in report.
Is this available in Ver 9/10?

Hi Dejan,
You can get the desired output in HTML format in 9i/10g. Look at the "Contains HTML Tags" property in Builder Online Help. However, for PDF output this is not currently supported.

Repeat subform until the end of the page

Hi there,
I'm relatively new to Livecycle and scripting, and I have a question that can hopefully be answered. I have a form in which the content is set to flowed and includes expandable fields. The last printable object in my form is a repeatable subform called ChainOfCustody. It's presence is set to hidden until the user clicks Print. It then becomes visible on the prePrint event. I'd like to have ChainOfCustody repeat as many times as it takes to fill the page it's on regardless of whether it appears 1 time or 10 times. I thought I could use addInstance inside a While loop and test when it's no longer on the current page, but that didn't work. I'm running out of ideas at this point, so any help is appreciated. (Below is my form's hierarchy, if that helps.)

You can achieve this by using master pages and pagination.
The implementation will be determined by your form requirements. The simple example attached is an example with two body pages:
- sPageBody
- sPageLast
Regardless of how many pages the sPageBody flows over (by clicking the 'Add Section' button) and whether the sHideShow subform is hidden or visible, the sLastPageFooter always displays at the end of the last page.

Audio in a sequence falls silent right until the end of the sequence

Hmmm, ok, maybe I am completely clueless.... Anyway: I am making a video with 3 dv-clips that I imported previously. When I drag the clips from the browser into the timeline and render them, everything is ok and plays well. Then, after a little editing, i.e. cutting the sequences into smaller pieces, but leaving everything in the same sequence in the timeline, at some point parts from a sequence right to the end of it, fall silent. I can still see the audio in the viewer, but the audio meter itself shows zero audio and I can't hear anything anymore over the speakers. This goes right to the end of the sequence, the next sequence again starts with sound but also falls silent after a while, right until its end. Only the last sequence retains its sound right to the end. The silence starts at some point within a clip of a sequence, but there is no correlation to the marks of the sequence.
I have not (knowingly) done any audio editing, although I am working on a German keyboard and my menus show some odd commands, e.g. Cmd-Y for Undo because of this (the German keyboard goes QWERTZ and YXCV, so Y and Z exchange places) and I am still hitting Cmd-Z when I want to undo stuff, but Cmd-Z itself does not seem to have any function.
So, it looks like I am simply inadvertently giving FCX the command to shut up from a certain point in my clip onward right to the end, without actually silencing the data, since it is still visible in the viewer. I am stumped.
I had this happening to me a couple of times and the last time my only (desperate) remedy was to delete all the clips in the timeline, drag the originals back from the browser into the timeline, render again etc. etc. Well, rendering takes about 3 hours, so I'd rather prefer learning what the heck is the stupid thing I'm doing wrong. Any suggestions, anybody?

Well, not silly, just desperate;-) I tried a similar workaround. First I re-copied the two clips concerned into the sequence, cut them into pieces (it was a video of a concert, so I cut right after every song) and rendered the pieces separately. All went well, except for the last one, at which FCX had run out of memory again (how much does this s...er use anyway? I have 1.25 gigs of RAM, 4 gigs free on my boot partition and 20 gigs free on the document partition with the video; and NOTHING ELSE running). Anyway, repeating the render for the remaining clip was eventually no big deal either.
I saved after every step, so I would know, when something went wrong, but nothing did.
So, right now it runs oK, but leaves a somewhat stale feeling in my mouth, since I prefer knowing where the problems come from. My guess would be either a memory-related issue, or that, due to this strange shift in key commands owed to my German keyboard, I hit the wrong keys a couple of times and those did something elaborately strange to my audio tracks. Well, when it comes up again and I can catch the culprit, I will let you know. Thanx for your input for now;-)

How do I sign multiple fields in a pdf without saving untill the end?

I have Acrobat 9 and I am trying to put in 20-50 signature fields all to be signed by the same person in one to however many sittings. For every signature it prompts to "Save As". I work in the medical field so all our training is tied up in medical topics plus computers are not the favorite but needed medium. I need it to sign with only a quick prompt to agree to sign for each one then save to the same pdf or save as if decided after the person is done signing what they need for that day. After all signatures are signed a final ending one to lock all the rest would be nice. The signatures are replacing initials for training topics with the final being the "I have been training to proper levels and agree to the assessment" kind of statment. So this thing can't be signed in one day but multiple have to be signed in one sitting with some ease if anyone is to use it. I would real like to get this thing going if anyone can help.

I hate to say it, but adding 20-50 signatures to a document isn't efficient, and by that I mean Acrobat doesn't handle that many signatures efficiently. Part of the problem is Acrobat must verify each digital signature separately and it will end up slowing things down for you (and by slowing things down I mean effectively locking up the computer). Every time you add another signature Acrobat validates all of the previous signatures to ensure the document integrity for the signature being created. Also, every time the file is opened each signature would get verified.
That said, you could (and this is only a suggestion) author the file using checkboxs and then using one digital signtaure at the end of the process that locks the file so the checkboxes can't be changed

Saving XDP form in PDF format at the end of the process

Hi,
I want to save my XDP form to a file system as PDF documents at the end of the workflow. There is a service writeDocument to writing PDF files, which accepts 2 parameters as input
pathname -- type : string
document -- type : document
In my workflow , I have an Xfaform variable which holds my form data.
But, as service requires the parameter as document I could not pass this variable to service. I tried to define a process variable of type document
and assign my xfaform variable to it, then pass this variable to the service. A pdf file is generated but not valid (1 k).
My question is how should I pass the variable to this service?

The xfaForm variable usually contains a pointer to an XDP file. The XDP needs to be rendered by a service to create a PDF. You can then save the resulted PDF into a "document" variable and use that variable with the WriteDocument service.
I guess what I want to make clear is that there are extra step you need to take to get from XDP to PDF before you write it to the file system.
