Report with Notes
Guys, I am newbie and in dilema, please help if you can, need to produce a report as how many notes included after last stage updated......any help/suggetion to achive this would be greatly appreciated.... remember newbie, so simple answer would be beneficial to me...thanking you in advance.
What you could do is create a workflow that updates a date/time field everytime the Sales Stage is changed and then report on the date and time the notes were created after this date/time.

In my MacBook Pro(10.7.5), finder is crashing after logging in. One thing that you can try is installing a 'fresh' version of OS X Lion. Boot into your Recovery partition (holding down the command and R keys whilst booting) and elect to install OS X from the Recovery screen. You need not erase your hard drive and you should not lose any of your data.
Oh, and just as a precaution, I would use Disk Utility, once you're in Recovery mode, to verify your hard drive before trying to install the OS again.

BW report does not tied up with R/3 report
We compared the BW reports with R/3 report and we find difference in some of the cost element in BW is not tied up with some of the cost element in R/3 report.
For Eg
Cost element:500600
BW Amount:6,500
R/3 Amount:6,500
Difference:0
Cost element:500700
BW Amount:57
R/3 Amount:77
Difference:20
Cost element:600560
BW Amount:69,700
R/3 Amount:34,800
Difference:34,800
In the Above when we compared BW with R/3 report the cost element 500600 is tied up both sides(BW and R/3) but in the 500700 both are not tied up. again in the 600560 was not tied up. Please advice me in this situation what I have to do.
Is that I need to adjust from the BW side or from R/3 side?. Since its in production I need some expert help to solve this issue.

if the same bw report has right figure for nov 2005 then should no inconsistency, what have been changed with your bw report ?
#1 you may try to check more detail on dec 2005 report, if possible to pick in 15 days by 15 days data, then 7 and 8 days, to find out in which day(s) actually the data is incorrect. possible missing documents from r/3 to bw.
#2 any changes with the data staging ? transfer/update rules ? if this case, you may check data in psa for that month if match with r/3 or not, see following doc for how to report from psa for comparison

Web Analysis report is not coming with the border/logo/heading while print
Hi All,
I am using 9.3.1 version of hyperion planning were Web Analysis report is not coming with the border/logo/heading while printing with the option "print all object", Only the data grid is coming in the print. If I use "print screen" it is coming with border/logo/heading but it gives a screenshot of the report, that won't cater out need.
So please suggest us with a resolution to have border, logo and heading, while using Print all object.

In scripts when you will see print preview the logo will be not shown up with clarity.Take the print out of the document and check whether logo is printing up with clarity.

Hello everyone,
I created following calculated member in MDX query. I am using it in one of the report parameter in dataset (single select dropdown list as report parameter).
WITH MEMBER [Measures].[ParameterCaption] AS
CoalesceEmpty([Customer].[National Account Code].CURRENTMEMBER.MEMBER_CAPTION,'None')
I would like to display 'None' text at the top of the dropdown list values. So that when user selects 'None' then this parameter will not considered in MDX query else the selected National Account Code will be considered to filter report data. But,
the above return blank/empty value for [Customer].[National Account Code].& member though I specified 'None' as text in CoalesceEmpty function. Any advice would be appreciated.

Empty report with pagination, rows not displayed
Dear HTML DB Team,
We have in our reports the next error: An empty report with pagination appears , no rows not displayed
The test case to reproduce the error:
1. Create "SQL report" with next report attributes in "Layout and Pagination"
a. Row ranges 1-15 16-30 in select list (with pagination)
b. Number of Rows : 15
c. Number of Rows (Item): empty
d. Max Row Count: empty
2. Fill the table on which the report is based with 17 rows
3. Go to the 2nd page of the report , pagination rows 16-17 of 17
4. Remove 2 rows from the table, refresh report
5, The pagination shows now 1 - 15 of 15 rows
- no rows displayed
- no "previous button" ( only )
- no way to get the rows displayed, except logging out and in again

i encountered the same problem while developing in HTMLDB.
In application builder, i select application Application 106, then click on items, then click next ( the application has 22 global items). Now i want to take a look at the global items in application 105 (there are only 5). In the menu i click Builder - Application 106, select application 105 from Available Applications, click Go and Items. It shows no rows, but says that is displaying rows 1-5, and offers a Next button. No way to see/modify the items unless make a new session or go back to Application 106, Click Previous to see the first page of global items and then again switch to Appication 105 or click to the next button and then manually set pg_min_row=1 in URL.
One more question - is this forum the right place to report bug suspicions, or is there some other special place for that?

Since I can not log in bug report page, not even getting an error message, I'll write all my issues with ios8 here... I have an iphone 4S and I did the last update. Now I am in trouble.
1. When I move the "sound on/off" button, I get it buzzing 10 times before the setting is changed and I can do anything else, just not reacting to the round button on screen touches.
2. Impossible to copy text from most websites into notes.
3. Impossible to delete an email account in settings.
4. Uses up the battery twice as fast as before. I have "update apps" setting turned off, just reading a couple of mails, making a couple of photos and open maps apps twice a day, and the battery is dead well before the evening.
5. Got extremely slow, and it was getting slower and slower with every system update.
I'm sure I forgot something... But well, that already a lot.Well, actually number 3 in my list is not true any more, I just tried to delete my account 15 times, then I've written my post, then half an hour later my Settings finally updated my accounts list. Whohoo

Statistic report with figures that will not change when rerun months later
Hi,
Is there any good practices that we can follow to create statistic reports with figures that will not change even when rerun after few months later?
My scenario is my statistic report is generated based on data that is "alive" which means the record will get change after a period of time. So, if you generate the statistic report in for January 2006 in the month of January and regenerate in May for the January 2006 statistic, the figure is different. But what I want is to be able to get the same figures.
I know in this case looks like we need some sort of summary tables, so posting this to get advice on the best way to design such summary tables. Please comment if there is other ways of doing it.
Summary tables may work for statistic report, but how to support detail report listing where the records are required to be the same when it was generated few months ago.

Thank you.What happens, when you execute a report today is the following: a select statement is fired at the data base and the result set is displayed in the report. The data can change after the moment you launched your report. What you could do to keep the result set the same, is implementing a user parameter that fills your date discriminator.

AR Aging Report does not change with Posting, Due, and Document selections
It appears to me that when you run the AR Aging report with the same date ranges in each of the date selection fields, Posting, Due and Doument, you do not get a different display of aging buckets. Does this report always display data based on Due Date?

There could be three reasons.
1. You may have more than one recon accounts for different vendor groups. So, you need to select all the GL accounts when reconcile with Vendor balances.
2. You may have some special GL transactions, which may post to different reconciliation accounts. Please check Special GL transactions (Down payments so on)
3. Your vendor recon accounts may be changed after some postings. Please check. If changed, you need to select these GLs also for reconciliation with vendor balances.

Reports are not posting with report repository webserver configured for Sin
Hi Everyone,
We have configured Single Signon on our Test environment (UADB1) using Sun Authentication Manager. Everything went well, we can login using our LDAP accounts except for one thing. The reports are not posting to the report repository.
Our setup goes like this. We have used only one webserver for login and for report repository purposes. SSL certificate was configured in the webserver and we are using https in the report node. Both URLs https://dv001.test.com:8450 and http://dv001.test.com:8400 were configured for Single Signon.

when i run the report in paper layout a popup kind page will open and ask us to enter the deptno and based on input parameter it fetches record in report.

the parameter window not opening and and blank report will open with coloumn headings.

Report with a form not showing all form data?
Hello,
I have an application that is using a report with a form, and when I click EDIT on the report column, it takes me to the form page which should be populated with all the data from the previous report row.
I have not modifed anthing from either page -- but (2) fields in particular (float) that I know have data is not getting populated. They are of the text field type and the row fetch is done automatically. What could be causing this? If I check the table I know there is data for those fields.

JeffThanks for the reply. I have the columns set up just as you have suggested. I even created a new report with form wizard and tried to update those two questionable columns.
If the columns are null, and I add values, they save. But then when I go back and update the record, but different columns, it nulls out the two I am talking about. I am wondering if a trigger is out there someplace that is causing them to get nulled out.

View BIP report with parameter in Dashboard, but the parameter not appear
OBIEE 10.3.4.1 on Redhat 5.2.
I have a BIP report with 3 parameters which work fine in BIP. Now I embedded it in BI Dashboard, but not see the parameter menu when view in Dashboard. Is this the feature, or I missed something.
Thanks.On the BI publisher Report Properties window, for Display Mode, select 'Link'. Then you should see the Report Object appear as a link, save and on the dashboard page when you click that link, the BI publisher report will show with the parameters..
