Reporting for sap R/3 transaction in sap BI

Hai frinds,
I want do reporting for a Transaction made in ABAP in sap R/§.
I want to do reporting which shows all the data in sapR/3 , after doing reporting in sap BI.

If you have GUI installed and you want to call ERP transaction from APO then
1. create rfc function in ERP which call that needed transaction
2. call that rfc function from APO using destination statement in call

I need to know about the Vendor reports. There are several vendors which dont have any transactions at all and we need to identify such vendors. How do we find such vendors? Can anyone suggest me some SAP vendor reports for this purpose?

In output control, you will find a check box "ACCOUNTS NOT POSTED TO". Please tick this check box along with "Normal Balances".
You will get the report of vendors NOT YET POSTED.

Report for Positions by Trader in Securities

Hi,
I searched for various reports but could not find an option to select Trader in order to generate a report for positions (or journal/transactions/cash flows) in Securities.
I need a report in Securities which should have a selection for Trader and Portfolio fields among others (similar to TPM20). Is there a way in the standard SAP reports?

Hi,
For securities, position management is supported at maximum against ID, Security Account/Portfolio/Fund and Gen Val Class (Fund from EhP4 onwards).
Trader field is not a key figure where you can get accumulated position report.
If you wish to maintain trader wise position, the possible way out will be to map Gen Val Class or Portfolio one to one with Trader. Or develop a customized position report considering trader into consideration but condition/corporate action flows will not be under control as clarified by Ravi. Look for a customer exit code to call Trader in that case.

Currently, we are working intensively on enhancing the reporting area in B1 and XL Reporter. Our ambition is to reach a situation where most of the required reports will be installed automatically. We would like to know your opinion about your preferences and our directions.

Previous discussion on P2P is summarized in the attached file.

Key reports not readily available at present for customers with multiple locations are sales by branch, purchases by branch, open orders by branch (sales and purchases), the ability to group sales persons by branch for reporting by salesperson to branches.
The ability to report opportunties in XL Reporter by region / territory is one we are often asked for, and this would extend to sales by territory (not necessarily the same as branch)

Crystal Reports for VS2010 cannot find crdb_adoplus.dll

I installed Crystal Reports for VS2010 successfullly,   At least the report editor works without a problem and the viewer control can be placed on a form. My problem is when I try to run it, I get the following exception:

I used Windows Explorer and found that crdb_adoplus.dll is present in the directory, so it must be a "related file" Has any one seen this error before and if so, do you know how to fix it??

Where do I get help for the MI related transactions in SAP WAS like merep_sbuilder and merep_mon
I want help documentaion to make out the log shown in merep_mon.
There are also lot of options while enabling the syncbo like push etc. What is the significance of these options.

Crystal Reports for Enterprise connection error to BI 4.0 Platform

Hi All
We are trying to connect Crystal Reports for Enterprise to our BI 4.0 Platform, however we are getting the following error: "Failed to establish a connection. The cause was: Cannot connect to SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise at this time. Please try again later".
System Information:
- SAP BI Platform 4.0 SP02 patch 6
- Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit
- Tomcat 6.0.24
We have also installed the following client software:
- SAP BI Platform Client Tools 4.0 SP02
- SAP Crystal Reports for Enterprise 4.0 SP02
- SAP BI Platform Client Tools 4.0 SP02 Patch 6
- SAP Crystal Reports for Enterprise 4.0 SP02 Patch 6
Our deployment of the BI Platform is a distributed system where
- Server 1 hosts the BI Platform Services and
- Server 2 hosts the web application server
We have reviewed the following OSS Notes below from SAP first to determine if there is a technical issue :
- 1598906 - Crystal Reports for Enterprise gives Cannot Connect to SAP Business Objects Enterprise at this time. Please try again later.
We have adjusted the "dsws.properties" as mentioned in the OSS note 1598906 above to contain the correct CMS and CMS port number (for Server 1).
- 1602024 - Error - Failed to establish a connection. The cause was - Cannot Connect to SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise at this time.
We have entered the server context as "/dswsbobje" mentioned in the OSS note 1602024 above in the connection details for CR for Enterprise connections
- 1636862 - Login for Crystal Reports fail on BO Server Cannot Connect to SAP Business Objects Enterprise at this time.
We have checked the proxy settings of Internet Explorer and adjusted it to have the following exceptions defined:
- Server 1.<domain_name>
- Server 2.<domain.name>
In the CMC, we also checked in the applications section for the web service option's access URL andchanged it from http://localhost:8080/dswsbobje to http://server2:8080/dswsbobje
We restarted the tomcat service and tried to access the CR for Enterprise from the BI Launch Pad as well as starting it directly from Windows, howevere we still get the same error.

I apologise for only responding now back.
I have managed to logon successfully from Crystal Reports for Enterprise 2011 to the BI 4.0 Platform now, where we can create a report and save the report back to the BI Platform.
As we have a distributed system, where the BI Platform is on one server (Server1) and the WebAs on another server (Server2). We had to adjust thefollowing settings on the WebAs system.
1. On the WebAs server (Server 2), in the directory <install drive>:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Tomcat6\webapps\dswsbobje\WEB-INF we changed the file: web.xml by entering the default CMS.
    <context-param>
        <param-name>cms.default</param-name>
        <param-value>Server2:6400</param-value>
    </context-param>
2.Then also in the directory <install drive>:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Tomcat6\webapps\dswsbobje\WEB-INF\classes we changed the file: dsws.properties where the section for domain=Server2 to domain=Server1 (example below from the file)
#default host for CMS and will be replaced during installationdomain=Server1:6400
3. In internet explorer's proxy exceptions, we set the following:
server1.<domain>*
server2.<domain>*
4. In the local Intranet setting, we also set the site as:
http://*.<domain>
Now for my laptop the connection works with no issues, but another developer's does not work - so we are busy investigating what is different between my laptop and his laptop.
Update:
We found that a setting inside the Crystal Reports for Enterprise 2011 in the network settings had to also be adjusted.
5. Use the menu path: Edit > Preferences > Network settings
6. Switch from "use system proxy configuration (if available)" to "Manual proxy configuration"
Enter the HTTP proxy address: proxy_server
Enter the Port: 80 (example)
Enter the list of servers to bypass: Server1;Server2
Check the checkbox "Enable proxy authentication"
Enter a username
Enter a password
Click on the OK button.
7. Afterward change the setting from "Manual proxy configuration" to "use system proxy configuration (if available)"
Then Crystal Reports for Enterprise 2011 works correctly.
What we found was that Crystal Reports for Enterprise 2011 must authenticate against the proxy server first otherwise one has issues.

Crystal Reports for VS2010 installation problems

I downloaded and installed the CRforVS_13_0.exe. After installing Crystal for VS2010 the installer informed me that I required the 64bit Viewer runtime installed and asked if I would like it installed. I took the default (to install) and it failed, it looked as though the command line for the MSI was incorrect. I manually ran the CRRuntime_64bit_13_0.msi.
I can create and view a report in VS2010 (Professional) but when I compile the application get the following error:
u201CThe type or namespace name 'CrystalDecisions' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)u201D
I have checked that the assemblies are correctly referenced and I can view them in the object viewer by double clicking on them.
I manually downloaded the CRforVC_redist_install_64bit_10.0.zip and installed that, but it made no difference.
Can anyone tell me how I can overcome this?

These references were added by the framework. I have tried manually adding the references and ensuring that they point to the correct files, as above.
I get the same error if I remove the references, so it appears that they can not be accessed, In the Event Viewer, application log I found the following:
The description for Event ID 4353 from source Crystal Reports cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
The keycode assembly, BusinessObjects.Licensing.KeycodeDecoder.dll, cannot be loaded.
the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table

I am BI 7.0 Platform with Support Patch 20.
I need the Log Report for the Data which i am uploading from SAP R/3.
I extract the DATA from R/3 into BI 7.0 DSO where I am mapping the GL Accounts with the FS Item. In the Transformation i have return a routine on the FS Item InfObject . I am checking the Gl code into Z table for the FS Item .
I capture the FS item from the Z table then update this FS item to Infobject FS item.
Now i need to stop the Data upload if i do not find the GL code in the Z table, and generate report for all GL code for which the FS item is not maintained in the Z table.
Please suggest.

Hi.
Add a field that you will use to identify if the GL account of the record was found in the Z table or not. Fx, create ZFOUND with length 1 and no text.
In your routine, when you do the lookup, populate ZFOUND with X when you found a match (sy-subrc = 0) and leave it blank if you don't find a match. Now create a report filtering on ZFOUND = <blank> and output the GL accounts. Those will be the ones not existing in the Z table, but coming in from your transactions.

Hi Jack,
As per your report requirement, there is no standard transaction available in SAP.
You have develop Z- Report for your requirement.
But keeping in mind the follwoing constarints
1) If it is a huge number of materials, Then the report will hours together. It may be lead to performance issue of the System. Because it has to get huge data from different tables as per you logic.
2) The report is not suitable for print. Because it will run pages together.Since you are including Opening balance, GR details, GI details and Closing balance for each materail.

Standard SAP report for variance analysis of SD and MM

I want the standard SAP report for the vendors and customer varaiance analysis for the posting done in MM and SD with the GL balance in FI .It should be same as the report we get from the transaction code MB5L.

The 1AB library contains reports for variance analyses. This is an important report for Cost Center Accounting (CO-OM-CCA) supplied in the SAP R/3 System. Additional information for report can be found in the documentation for the reports. Choose Extras->Documentation from the report itself.

Error while scheduling report for SAP users

Hi All,
We have SAP authentication enabled in our BO environment. (BO XI 3.1 sp2 FP 2.6 on windows 2003 server).
There are some webi reports based on BW Bex queries that we are trying to run on behalf of certain SAP end users. This we are doing using "schedule for" option.
Now what is happening here is if the end user has logged in once in BO system ,it runs fine. But in case user has not logged in to BO (using infoview etc.) ,it throws error saying "incomplete logon data" . Also if user changes or reset his password in BW and if he doesn't login to infoview after that ,system throws another error "Name or password incorrect (repeat logon)".
Based on these observation, we are suspecting if BO system uses stored SAP users credentials while scheduling report for them based on their last login.
Would like to mention here that we have checked option "automatically import users".
Please advice if this behavior is normal or we are missing some setting.
