Reporting on a keyfigure

Hello ,
We have got a requirement to report on an keyfigure which extraccts data from an R/3 table field which holds descriptions captured in a transaction which changes everyweek ,Pls suggest me on how to report on this keyfigure ???

what you are describing is something like text fields attached to an invooice.. here the textx are valid for the invoice value and cannot be seen separately. Here since you are getting the text fields into BW , what is the difficulty you face is reporting on the text fields associated with the value (KF )
As for showing the most current value , you could look at bringing it into an ODS with overwrite for the text. Here the texts will be a character IOBJ.

Error while generating the report in BI using CRM

i have created a query long back called SERVICE REQUEST using Query designer
using that particular query i have generating the reports from MAY 1 to till date
in my report i have a characteristics called USER STATUS , for this user status i can restrict the below values i.e
open
reopen
waiting
in - transfer
resolved
new
completed
in the above values , i want to get the transaction numbers which are not completed i.e. i need to exclude complete
and i need to include all the above values
but after generating the report , am getting completed records too...
and in the report i saw for that completed record i have OPEN DOCUMENTS(key figures) and NO.OF DOCUMENT HEADERS(key figures) is 0
actually if we see any updated record for the particular report the key figure NO.OF DOCUMENT HEADERS should be 1 right?
so in my scenario if NO.OF DOCUMENT HEADERS getting 0 so the filter condition for COMPLETED , is not working
so that the reason even though i have filtered the COMPLETED value for the USER STATUS field , am getting those
fields....
so friends kindly help me in this regard to avoid completed value for the filed USER STATUS..

Multi Value error observed in one report after migration from BO 3.1 to BO 4.0

Can someone help me resolving the #multivalue error after migration of report from BO 3.1 to 4.0 environment

Hi Javed,
MultiValue error appears if you have multiple result values for the same row values combination.
Try including an object from object panel which can differentiate the values for that row.
For Example,
Lets say you have an item & you have a keyfigure Invoiced amount where it has 2 different values at schedule line level.
So the values in webi BOBJ depends your BW architecture like how the infoprovider is designed. If your infoprovider has the invoiced amount values based on item and schedule line level then if you dont add the schedule line in webi report, you ll get the "#MULTIVALUE" Error.
If you are using any Variables in the webi Report, try using
=[keyfigure] in [Dimension]

How to use the cell editor in FICO reports for YTD

I am working with BI7.0, in the below report, i have displayed result based on user input.but how to calculate the YTD values. User will give the input like 072007, results will be display one year from 072007 to 062006 (one yearback) and one more column is YTD
Report structure is :

3) from 2 to 6 columns of YTD, how will display the sum from Jan07 to July07?
Note: months will be changed based on user input(single Value)
how can use cell editor for above the senior.

I think the following should work:
Context:
Rows (node,c=0:n)
--- rowIndex (integer)
selectedRowIndex (integer)
Bind the "selectedKey" property of the radio button (cell editor) to attribute "selectedRowIndex" (outside table data source node) and bind "keyToSelect" to attribute "Rows.rowIndex". Make sure that the "rowIndex" attribute will contain the index of the node element in node "Rows".

How can I compare data in R/3 with data in a BW Cube after the daily delta loads? Are there any standard procedures for checking them or matching the number of records?

If you want to check the records daily instead of checking the data in R/3 manually ......
You can try this...
If you have staging DSO(level 1) that means whatever data is in source system load it to Staging DSO without any routines or any modifications.
Now load this DSO data to Cube or DSO(level 2) as per your requirement with routines etc.
Now Staging DSO contains Source system data.
Now the level 2 Cube or DSO contains BW data with some modifications.
Now create a Multiprovider based on level 1 and level 2 data targets.
Now create a report on which keyfigures you want to test the data.
In Multiprovider there is a field called 0infoprovider in data packet dimension.
you can drag this infoprovider to the columns and restict your keyfigures with level 1 and level 2 data targets.
In the first column you can see the level 1 DSO data ( source system data),in the 2nd column you can see the BW data.
Now create a formula which gives the diffrence b/n level 1 and level2.
that is R/3 data - BW data.
If the diffrence is zero both R/3 and BW data are same.
if the diffrence is not eqaul to zero check whether any routine is there or not.

Error while executing the query

I am facing two errors while executing my query namely
1)The validity interval has initial value as lower limit.
2)Diagnosis
Query uses non-cumulative key figures. It requires calculation for non-cumulative values for more than 2000 periods in time. The most common reason for this is that the non-cumulative InfoCube has a very large validity interval and the query has no time restrictions. With exception aggregation AVERAGE (AV1 or AV2) in particular, this lack of time restriction would result in considerable memory and performance problems.
System Response
Query cannot be executed in this way.
Please suggest a possible reason for these errors.

Data not displayed for Key Figure of MultiProvider

Hi Folks,
I have created a Query on MultiProvider which is actually copied from another Query(based on InfoCube) using RSZC. Now I have the problem with display of data for a KeyFigure in report. No data is displayed for the KeyFigure. The MultiProvider has Two InfoCubes where the KeyFigure is related to one of the two Cubes. The data is shown at the MultiProvider level. I have also checked for a new query on the same MultiProvider. Here too the data is shown in the report for the KeyFigure. But it's not showing in the Query which is copied from another.
Any assistance on the same is really appreciated.

Urgent-Multiprovider Query

Hi Experts,
I have a Multiprovider on Purchasing Cube(0PUR_C01),General Ledger ODS(0FI_GL_O02)and Material Movement Cube.(YCPS_MOVE).
Issue 1
Currently the query is restricted by Company Code,when we do that the 0Vendor and 0Batch information from Material Movement cube is not being displayed.
Issue 2
When not restricting the query, i do get the 0Vendor and 0Batch info on the report.But the keyfigures(all of them from GL ODS ) are shown as parsed.
This is how my output looks like currently.
Ex:
Plant PO     Material Vendor Batch    GR Debit quantity GR quantity GR variance
03      6605     12          69        3007
         #             100Kg                 100KG       30.31 USD
Is there any solution to get the keyfigures into the same row.If so please pass on the solution.

Thanks for the suggestion.Points duly assigned.But now i have another situation,i have used infoset on GL ODS and MM Cube.
in situations with item having multiple batches or Vendors,and in such situation i am getting same KFvalue in every row and the total of this obviously wrong.Is there any solution to get only one record for keyfigure value or correct the total.
Example:
Plant FiscYr/Period    PO    Item Material   Batch    Vendor   GRVariance
0353     001/2006       4500    10     104         19207    1007        -$3935

The KF GR Variance is from GL ODS,is there any solution that i can have only one value or get the correct total for that particualt column.

Unknown Error in Brio Version 6.6

Hi all:We are getting a weird problem with our report. Admin and myself have tried but we havent figured out the exact root cause for it.Report runs fine on BCS and gets registered on ODS successfully but then you get a message box after all the process is done with an error Message"An unknown error has occurred. Please save your document and restart your application. Error in closing the document." Its not creating a problem for the customers to view though. Apart from that ---On my Desktop if I Click on "Process all Queries" from the EIS section I get this error but when I click on "Process all Queries" from the Query Model then I wont get this error.ThanksKris

I am not able to fetch the report also .
All the connectivity is working fine, i can see reports, select the keyfigures, elements, fliter the records , once it start fetching the report in the embeded Excel of the xcelsius, it throws the error ... with no number..just mentioned in the screen "Unknown Error"

I created a report with 'Calculated KeyFigure' and 'Restricted KeyFigure' . And i transported to BI-Quality System.
Then i opened the query in BI-Quality Query Designer and try to see the 'Calculated KeyFigure' and 'Restricted KeyFigure' .
And im getting the below error
RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE -Exception condition 'INCONSISTENCY' rasied .
why it is coming like that . And delete the infocube from the BI-Quality System . And transported the query five times . But again im getting the same problem .

Issue with Query Designer

Hi Guys,
I am using 3.5 query designer.i have a requirement in a report.There is keyfigure structure developed which has key figures defined for eg Actual,target etc.This structure is is been restricted as whole by posting period ie 1,2,3 &4.so all the keyfigures will by defult display in posting periods ie 1,2,3 &4.I have a requirent to bring a new KF in the structure say forcast which has values for 1,2,3&4.Now i need another kef which compares only the target Posting period 4 value with all the posting period values of forcast.On which i will create an indicator.Could anyone help me in creating this new KF out of the structure so that it displaysonly the posting period 4 values of target.If i incude in the structure and restrict it with posting period 4,it comes up again with 4 coulmns for posting period which again makes it difficult to compare.

I am not so clear about your requirement.
But what i understand from below question is
You have created some KPIs with YTD fiscal year period reqtriction. and used the Fiscal year period in drill down.
Now you want to create 1 KPI with selected fiscal year period restriction, but you can see this column in all 4 fiscal year period.
but you want to see that in only 4th(selected) fiscal year period.
am i right?
if yes then use zero suppression with rows and column, as new KPI contains value in only 4th period, other 3 period will be suppressed by above setting.

BI Stats Queries runtime error

Hi Folks,
i am new to BI Stats. we have installed and tested and tranported everything to production. but now the queries on 0TCT_VC01,
0TCT_VC02 are giving errors in quality and production. in Dev everything is working fine.
the other queries on 0TCT_MCA1 (in dev,QA,Prod)are working fine.
its showing the error cant read the data from the infoprovider 0TCT_VC01 and there is no data source assigned to 0TCT_VC01.
Now i activated the direct access to the data source in quality for 0TCT_VC01. Now its giving the same error cant read the data from infoprovider 0TCT_VC01. and time exceeded to read the data.
So please guide me how can i solve this issue. and also please let me know where the problem is located and is there any settings i need to give anywhere ..plz let me know clearly..
is there any problem with the tranporting..?

Thanks for your response. now i can able to execute the reports but the report "Number of Executions per BI Application Object 0TCT_MCA1_Q0142" is showing the values for those records which are not assigned "infoprovider used"."infoprovider type".
this is a standard report i am using. why this is happening.
it shows the report is not meaningful. for the other records which its displaying the infoprovider name and type are displaying "0" for all the keyfigures.
so i have created the same report and excluded the # (not assigned values) for this report all the keyfigure values are null its showing. is there any way to get the data for those reocrds.

i have a query with characterstic ZDATETO (Valid To Date).
I have to implement a condition on ZDATETO so that only Latest Valid To Date is displayed in my Report.
I also have a Key Figure Amount. A condition on it is to display only when the Amount is Negative.
These two conditions are to be implemented on the Report.
They Keyfigure part I could do it, but how do I find the Latest Valid To date to implement the condition?

Transactional details not displayed

Hi,
While testing the data in QA server, the transactional details is not getting displayed in the cube as well as reports but the keyfigures are displayed. But in the ODS, we are getting all the data with the transactional details (for eg:, plant, material etc).
While taking the presnapshot of this cube, all the data is displayed and in the post snapshot, these details are missing. I have checked the data by simulation and I can see the details inthe target also.
Please let me know wat would be the reason.

After the RSRV check, I have got the error as
Record with the DIMID 30 contains non-fitting time characteristics
Time characteristic 0CALMONTH value 200401 does not fit with time char 0CALYEAR val 2003
But for some records, all these details are displaying properly. All the data is getting displayed in the staging ODS, after that delta to cube and if I checked in cube, the material, vendor etc detials are missing.
Can I go ahead and select Correct Error button in RSRV...Will it solve this issue.
