Reporting on Interactions in Assessment Simulation

Hello,
I'm testing my user's ability to navigate through a software interface and would like to be able to track and understand what interactions they might be getting hung up on. Thus, I want to be able to gather reporting data on individual clicks - what "clicks" are my users missing? etc.
I see that I can give individual assessment clicks "Interaction IDs", but where can I view the reporting on those interactions? Other than seeing the user's overall scores for the assessment, can I 'drill down' an see how they did on each scored click???
Also, if I have a combination of scored interactions and quiz questions (i.e. multiple choice) in an assessment, can I pick apart the data and see if incorrect answers were wrong clicks or wrong quiz answers?
Thanks!
Alex

This is a question you should be asking of your LMS administrator or the LMS Vendor.
The reporting capabilities of your LMS determine whether or not you can drill down into the SCORM data sent by the Captivate module.

• Tracking Assessment Simulation with SCORM 1.2 on LMS

Good day
I am using Captivate 3, and have managed to upload
successfully onto SumTotal LMS. However i have a requirement to not
only track on Quiz questions with SCORM 1.2 but to track an
assessment simulation - for example let the learner click on the
correct icon and type the correct text etc and then score that they
have successfully completed the simulation. I noticed in the Quiz
settings in Captivate 3 an option to "score interactions and quiz"
How does this work?? Do i always have to include a quiz with SCORM
settings before Capitvate generates the manifest file for it to
work on an LMS??
Any and all help much appreciated
LMSAdminer

In general... yes, you must set up scoring for each
interaction, turn on SCORM reporting with the "Report interactions
and the score" option and then republish the file. Captivate will
then generate the correct manifest for that file.
However, Captivate will *not* generate a multi-SCO manifest
(a manifest grouping multiple files into a single course). That
must be done in a 3rd-party tool, such as the Manifest Maker
extension for Dreamweaver.
A fairly comprehensive list of SCORM manifest-generating
tools can be found here:
List of
SCORM-Generating Tools
In addition, there can be issues getting SCORM to work with
individual LMS products. If you search these forums, especially the
Captivate eLearning forum, you'll find a number of posts on
SumTotal. Hopefully, you can find some useful information that way.
Also, a fellow Captivate user posted a tips document to the
Captivate Developer Exchange that might make interesting reading
for you:

• How to convert "classic" report to "interactive" report?

Hi,
How do I convert classic report to interactive and vice versa?
Thanks

Hi,
When you go to the interactive report, in the right you have "Migrate to Interactive Report". That will make your standard report interactive, but will not erase the old report. It will be only disabled. But I don't know if it is possible to migrate from interactive to standard report.

• Assessment Simulation Issue

I created an assessment simulation. In my project preview, if I can click the forward button it will allow me to advance to the next slide without performing the necessary actions. How can I stop this?
Note: My failure captions display and the slide won't auto advance. Only issue is clicking the forward button.

Hello and welcome,
Totally agree with Sreekanth, I will never show the playbar when it is an assessment simulation.
But he forgot your second question: 'slide will not auto advance'. Are you talking about an inserted click box, that has to be clicked? Or is it a Text Entry Box in which the user has to type something? For both examples, check the settings in the Properties panel: how many attempts are provided, what are the Actions On Success, and After Last Attempt? Those actions will be executed when the trainee has clicked on the click box or has entered the required text.

• Diff between interactive report and interactive alv

Diff between interactive report and interactive alv? Suppose I have been given certain program then how I will diffrentiate that this prog should be done in interactive alv or interactive report.

hi
both are used for same purpose
interactive report means an output list which displays basic details & allow user to interact, so that a new list is populated based on user-selection. With interactive list, the user can actively control data retrieval and display during the session.
I suggest to use ALV.by using ALV we can display in Grid as well as list format.
Output format will be good . Sorting,Filtering facilities are provided by itself. We can have column headings also.

• Interactive report for Interactions

Hi all,
Creating a report for Interactions using Analytics_Pro business role. I'm using the Interactions report area and am creating a very basic call coding report.
The AHT (handle time) is however represented in Minutes, which is not quite standard for call centers (we usually use seconds). Is there a config required or do I have to play with the cube and add an extra figure that would represent it in seconds, then expose it, then add it to my report area, then add it to my report? (or whatever other steps required)?
I'm on CRM 7.0 EHP 2

Hi Fabien
Interactive Reporting "Cubes" are defined with the expected fields of usage. When building the Interactive Report if the field is not available as standard then some type of enhancement would be required.

• Difference between class report and interactive report

please give me the differences between classical report and interactive report

Hi,read the following :
In ABAP, there are a total of 7 types of reports. They are:
Classical Reports
Interactive Reports
Logical Database Reports
ABAP query
ALV Reports (ALV stands for ABAP List Viewer)
Report Writer/Report Painter
Views (There are different types of views also)
Classical Reports
These are the most simple reports. It is just an output of data using the Write statement inside a loop.
Classical reports are normal reports. These reports are not having any sub reports. IT IS HAVING ONLY ONE SCREEN/LIST FOR OUTPUT
Interactive Reports
As the name suggests, the user can Interact with the report. We can have a drill down into the report data. For example, Column one of the report displays the material numbers, and the user feels that he needs some more specific data about the vendor for that material, he can HIDE that data under those material numbers.
And when the user clicks the material number, another report (actually sub report/secondary list) which displays the vendor details will be displayed.
We can have a basic list (number starts from 0) and 20 secondary lists (1 to 21).
Logical Database Reports
Logical database is another tool for ABAP reports. Using LDB we can provide extra features for ABAP reports.
While using LDB there is no need for us to declare Parameters.
Selection-screen as they will be generated automatically.
We have to use the statement NODES in ABAP report.
ABAP Query Reports
ABAP query is another tool for ABAP. It provides efficency for ABAP reports. These reports are very accurate.
Transaction Code : SQ01
Report Writer / Report painter
Super users and end users can use Report Painter/Report Writer tools to write their own reports.
Giving them the ability to report on additional fields at their discretion shifts the report maintenance burden to them, saving SAP support groups time and effort normally spent creating and maintaining the reports.
ALV reports
Sap provides a set of ALV (ABAP LIST VIEWER) function modules which can be put into use to embellish the output of a report. This set of ALV functions is used to enhance the readability and functionality of any report output. Cases arise in sap when the output of a report contains columns extending more than 255 characters in length.
In such cases, this set of ALV functions can help choose selected columns and arrange the different columns from a report output and also save different variants for report display. This is a very efficient tool for dynamically sorting and arranging the columns from a report output.
The report output can contain up to 90 columns in the display with the wide array of display options.
There is no difference between drill down and interactive report, they are the same.
With drilldown reporting, SAP provides you with an interactive information system to let you evaluate the data collected in your application. This information system is capable of analyzing all the data according to any of the characteristics that describe the data. You can also use any key figures you wish to categorize your data. You can display a number of objects for a given key figure, or a number of key figures for a given object. In addition, the system lets you carry out any number of variance analyses (such as plan/actual comparisons, fiscal year comparisons, comparisons of different objects, and so on).
*More on Classical Vs Interactive*
Classical Reports
These are the most simple reports. Programmers learn this one first. It is just an output of data using the Write statement inside a loop.
Classical reports are normal reports. These reports are not having any sub reports. IT IS HAVING ONLY ONE SCREEN/LIST FOR OUTPUT.
Events In Classical Reports.
INTIALIZATION: This event triggers before selection screen display.
AT-SELECTION-SCREEN: This event triggers after proccesing user input still selection screen is in active mode.
START OF SELECTION: Start of selection screen triggers after proceesing selection screen.
END-OF-SELECTION : It is for Logical Database Reporting.
Events associated with Interactive Reports are:
1. AT LINE-SELECTION
2. AT USER-COMMAND
3. AT PF<key>
4. TOP-OF-PAGE DURING LINE-SELECTION.
HIDE statement holds the data to be displayed in the secondary list.
sy-lisel : contains data of the selected line.
sy-lsind : contains the level of report (from 0 to 21)
Interactive Report Events:
AT LINE-SELECTION : This Event triggers when we double click a line on the list, when the event is triggered a new sublist is going to be generated. Under this event what ever the statements that are been return will be displayed on newly generated sublist.
AT PFn: For predefined function keys...
AT USER-COMMAND : It provides user functions keys.
TOP-OF-PAGE DURING LINE-SELECTION :top of page event for secondary list.

• Difference between Drill down Report and Interactive Report

What is the difference between Drill down Report and Interactive Report?

Hi,
Drill down report and Interactive report seems to be acts as same. But there is a minor difference between those two.
Drill Down Report - When you click on a particular field in a report it drills down to the next report, it won't trigger another screen.
Interactive Report - When you click on a particular field in a report it will trigger another report based on the field clicked. It opens another session internally in the same screen.

When you run the program, the system displays the following basic list with a the page header defined in the program:
You can trigger the AT LINE-SELECTION event by double-clicking a line. The system sets the status TEST and deactivates the function code PICK. The status TEST contains function codes FC1 to FC5. These are assigned to pushbuttons in the application toolbar. The page header of the detail list depends on the status.
Here, double-clicking a line no longer triggers an event. However, there is now an application toolbar containing five user-defined pushbuttons. You can use these to trigger the AT USER-COMMAND event. The CASE statement contains a different reaction for each pushbutton.
For each interactive event, the system decreases the SY-LSIND system field by one, thus canceling out the automatic increase. All detail lists now have the same level as the basic list and thus overwrite it. While the detail list is being created, SY-LSIND still has the value 1.

• How to have both Classic Report and Interactive Report from the same page?

Hello APEX developers,
I want to copy a page consisting of master-detail form together with its data, as in data stored in the tables.
I've generated a master-detail form(which by default having its detail report as a classic report). I want to copy this page and then migrate this classic report to Interactive Report. This way, I have both the classic master-detail form with report AND the master-detail Interactive Report.
I've tried doing this but ended up getting a new master-detail Interactive Report page without its data.
Any feedback is appreciated.

• Want to view Webi report in interactive mode in EP

Hi,
I am currently doing BO Integration with SAP 7.0. I have done the Integration successfully & have imported roles. Our requirement is that the reports needs to be viewed in EP. I have done the EP portal integration as per the installation document. I can view my CR & webi reports from portal. But my client wants to view the webi reports in Interactive mode as he views in BO Infoview 3.1. I can't find any work around for this.. can anyone help me in viewing the webi report in interactive mode inside EP.
Right now am viewing the report in html format, which is the default, (report viewer.do). Is there any functionality or other viewer name to make my requirement possible
I have installed SAP BO 3.1 & BO Integration Kit 3.
Any help will be greatly appreciated..
Thank you,
Ash

Hi,
you can integrate the viewing of Web Intelligence using OpenDocument or using the KM Integration. The type of the viewer then depends on the user preferences configured in InfoView.

Hi there-

• How to make an interactive report, non-interactive

Hi,
I have an interactive report. I have disabled every interactive control from the report by setting "include search bar" to NO and also at column level i didnt allow to sort or group or any other thing. Only problem is that when i click the column heading, i see a text box poping up and asks to enter some value so that it could filter the report and if i provide any value and pres enter, it returns message "ERR-1777: Page 1 provided no page to branch to. Please report this error to your application administrator."
How can i disable this text box from appearing and making report fully non interactive. I don't want to rebuild the page as not interactive report and want to disable this popup from my current interactive report.
Thanks

Hi Salman,
You can "disable" the column links by hiding them.
The simplest method would be to change the column heading to something like:
</div>>div<EnameThe link is created on a DIV tag that contains no text. The above will close this DIV and open a new one for the heading. As there's no text in the first DIV, the user can't see it nor click on it.

• Can I run a BI Publisher report from interactive report

Hi,
I have an APEX interactive report and want to run a BI publisher report by clicking on a column value within the interactive report. Is that possible?

Hi 918900,
This is possible.
Set the column in the interactive report as link to page 0 with the report name in the request field
PRINT_REPORT=<your report>. Don't forget to specify the Display type for the column as 'Standard Report Column'.
