Reporting point creation

Hi
Please guide how to create reporting point backflush in REM.
I activated RP Backflush in REM Profile and also in control key i taken confirmation: Mile stone confirmation.
Please respond immediatley,
Regards
Venkatesh

Hi Nilesh
Have you met the prerequisites for reporting point back flush.
They are like this:
1)You must assign a suitable repetitive manufacturing profile in the material master record to be able to backflush a material using either the mandatory or the optional reporting point backflush function.
2)You must set the optional or the mandatory reporting point backflush in the repetitive manufacturing profile.
3)This type of backflushing corresponds to the milestone confirmation in make-to-order production. Therefore, in the routing, you must select a control key which has indicator 1 (= milestone confirmation) in the confirmation field.
4)You must enter the routing in the production version of the material. The system first looks for the routing entered in the detailed planning section. If no entry exists here, the system then uses the routing from the rate-based planning section.
5)You must carry out a version-specific or a standard cost estimate.
6.You are recommended to use the version-specific cost estimate which can be carried out in shorter intervals than the standard cost estimate.
Pl. try.

  • Reporting points - REM

    Hai PP Experts!!
I created reporting points in rate routing by assiging the control key with milestone confirmation. But in the MFBF screen during reporting point selection system shows error "reporting points are not maintained in PCC" . I also maintained suitable REM Profile (ie., i activated RP in the profile)
So pls throw some light on creation of reporting points, required customization and sequence of steps....
    Advace thanks.............
    Ganeshraja

    Dear Mr.Ganesh raja,
Check in customizing-Control data for REM profile under control data 1,whether GI backflush at GR posting,if it's so deselect that and select RP backflush, then only the system allows you to use RP backflush.
You have to assign the same REM profile for the material which you want to use RP backflush.
And also in MFBF,plz include a tick mark in RP backflush field.
    <b>If useful reward points.</b>

  • Reporting Point Backflush Error

    Hi Friends,
I have a specific question. I am using a material in which Batch Mangement is active. Now when I use MF42N as collective backflush, I enter following data
Scene 1: Input Data in MF42N Screen
    Plant
Posting Data & Document Date (Current Date)
    Material
    backflush Qty
    Version
    Reporting Point
When I enter this data System posts it without asking me Batch Number though Batch Management is active in Material Master.
Scene 2: Input Data in MF42N Screen
    Plant
Posting Data & Document Date (Current Date)
    Material
    backflush Qty
    Version
When I enter this data (No Reporting Point), then System gives me error as Enter Batch (Which is correct as Batch Management is Active in Material Master)
Please tell me why system is not giving error in Scene 1 where I am not entering Batch details.
Please let me know if you want any more details on this.

    Dear Nilesh,
In this case I feel may be by debugging we may be able to identify why the system is allowing you to post the material along
with batch without mentioning the reporting point without error.
Logically it should look for both the objects like reporting point as well as batch number(provided if you have assigned a REM
profile with reporting point and activated the batch management for the product). Is the REM profile containing the reporting point
    as mandatory or optional?

  • SMS SRS Reporting Point - 7403 at regular time intervals

    Hi,
At regular time intervals I see a 7403 error message in the "SMS_SRS_REPORTING_POINT" component appearing in my ConfigMgr 2012 SP1 environment. SQL Server 2012 is used.
My reports are working fine and accessable via the Console and URL. This error 7403 appears twice a day. The srsrp.log states the following at the moment of the issue:
    STATMSG: ID=7403 SEV=E LEV=M SOURCE="SMS Server" COMP="SMS_SRS_REPORTING_POINT" SYS=servername SITE=XXX PID=8180 TID=6516 GMTDATE=Tue Aug 27 04:58:18.849 2013 ISTR0="servername" ISTR1="" ISTR2="" ISTR3=""

A few minutes before and after the health check is successful.
I found out that at the moment of my 7403 error, the SQL RS recycle process is started. The log file reportserverservice.log looks like:
06:55:58:: i INFO: Recycling the service from the default domain
The recycle time of SQL Reporting services is configured at 720 minutes, so each 12 hours.
Can someone tell me if this is normal and how I can avoid the 7403 error?
    Thanks.

SCCM farm contains two servers: Primary server and database server. I have added reporting services point on database server with SQL 2012 to different reporting instance (default instance is used for DPM and SCOM).
I see succesfull records in SCCM console component status for SMS_SRS_REPORTING_POINT  that component started (message 500) and availability of component has changed to Online (message 4629).
But ConfigMgr_<sitename> folder not created and no reports available in console.
I have also tried to run mofcomp.exe for sqlmgrproviderxpsp2up.mof but report folder still not created.
How can I troubleshoot this problem? I have no errors in SCCM.

  • "Error reading reporting point information" message no. RM111

    Hello friends,
I am doing the Reporting point backflush for a material and getting the error "Error reading reporting point information", message no. RM111.
i have given the milestone confirmation for the last operation in the rate routing for that material.
Even in REM Profile, Mandatory Reporting time backflush is activated.
In the production version of that material i have given the group of rate routing created for that material in Rate Routing field.
I have created the product cost collector for that material and production version. With costing lot size 1, even i have calculated the cost for that product cost collector. Though regarding costing couple of errors came, than also i saved it.
I am not sure whether system has created the reporting point while creating the product cost collector. How to check it?
Now for that material we have created the planned order.
Now when i am doing the backflush in MFBF t.c  by giving the material code, plant and production version, system is throwing the error " Error reading reporting point information.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Jitendra

    Hello siva,
i executed the transaction MF30 as suggested by you, there system displayed following costing errors:
"No control record for Activity type PLVD/1301/ASBY in version 000 / 2010 activity planning/qty planning
    Message no. KL023
    Diagnosis
No activity planning or quantity planning has been carried out for Activity type PLVD/1301/ASBY in version 000 and fiscal year 2010.
    Procedure

Planning Quantities and Prices for business processes.
Even system is not picking the component prices, system throwing the error NO price could be determined for the material and  batch so and so.
We are using the Preliminary cost estinmate.
is because of this system is not able to create reporting point in product cost collector?

  • REM Reporting Point line item with operation number 9999

    Dear guru,
I run MFBF with a REM Profile that post Automatic GR and Activities.
I have four operation in the material routing (10,20,30,40)
For the first three operations I want to confirm them with target activities
I define Third Operation with operation number 30 as "Reporting Point Operation"  and
set the necessary settings for Reporting Point at Rem Profile.
After the confirmation I check MF12 (display document log information).
I see two reporting point line item : one for operation number 30 and one for operation number 9999
The system update in table AFRU only operation 30.
So I donu2019t know the activities confirmed with operation 10 and 20.
    Do you help me ?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi dude:
Once I had this problem, and was due to a wrong definition of the parameters used in the formula for calculating the activities in to the operations.
You can chek it in the next path:
    IMG route
Production > Basic Data > Work Center > Costing > Work Center Formulas > Define formula parameters for work centers & Define formulas for work centers
Make sure that these parameters are correctly linked to the formulas.
Please, let me know if this info was useful for you.

  • [2012 R2] Cannot install Reporting Point - Unable to locate SSRS

    Hi all,
For some reason I cannot install a new site server with the reporting point role. I receive an error that to valid SSRS instances can be found on the site server.
A little bit (not all servers) more about my environment
    CAS Environment:
    - Server 1 - SQL
    - Server 2 - CAS
    - Server 3 - Reporting Point (installed correctly)
    Primary Site:
    - Server 4 - Primary Site + SQL 2012 SP1
    - Server 5 - Reporting Point (SQL 2012 SP1 only SSRS role)
I Installed SSRS in native mode with the Reporting databases created on Server 4.
Web Service and Report Manager URL created (recreated a couple of times)
http://server5/reports and /ReportServer CAN be accessed from the Primary Site server.
I am not trying to add the reporting point to the Server4...only to server5 where SSRS is installed.
    No related event errors found.
Hope someone can help me out with this one.

    Hi
Could it be, that the user which has opened the console to install the reporting service rule is not a Administrator on the SQL server?
For the wizard you need to be an administrator. Then, the installation will running under the site server system context.

  • Reporting Point role autoinstall several times

    Hi,
    I am using SCCM 2012 R2.
At Central Site there are the following messages at SMS_SRS_REPORTING_POINT component every day:
SMS Executive could not start this component because it could not load \"D:\SMS\bin\x64\srsrp.dll\" using the MFC AfxLoadLibrary() function. The operating system reported error 126: The specified module could not be found.
Possible cause: The DLL was somehow corrupted or deleted.
Solution: Restore the DLL by manually copying it from your installation media to \"D:\SMS\bin\x64\srsrp.dll\".
Possible cause: The file "D:\SMS\bin\x64\srsrp.dll" exists, but something else has changed the permissions or attributes of the file or the directory containing it.
Solution: Restore the file's permissions or attributes so that this ConfigMgr component can access the file.
Possible cause: The DLL depends on another DLL, which does not exist or cannot be found via the PATH environment variable.
Solution: Determine all of the DLLs that this DLL depends on (using Depends.exe from the Win32 SDK) and insure they exist and can be found via the PATH environment variable for the user account that the SMS_EXECUTIVE service runs under.
Site Component Manager is reinstalling this component on this site system.
Site Component Manager successfully reinstalled this component on this site system.
Site Component Manager started this component on this site system.
The Site Server is located at Azure, and D:\ is the Temporary Storage disk.
    The questions are:
There are guides/best practices about installing SCCM at Azure?
How would be installed the reporting point role at a server in Azure but not use the Temporary Storage disk?
Is it possible to change settings for reporting point to avoid the use of the Temporary Storage disk and use another disk (normal permanent disk)?
    Thanks in advance!

    Not that I know. Also, I'm not even sure it's already officially supported;
You could use the NO_SMS_ON_DRIVE.SMS file to prevent the usage of a specific disk (for more information, see:

  • SCCM 2012 Reporting point server instance blank

I have installed SCCM 2012 With remote SQL database server successfully, at the time of Reporting service point role installation, its verified the SCCm database successfully but SQL server service instance is blank, what would be the reason....
    Below my SCCM architecture:
    1. Created one Database in Remote server SQL server is in failover cluster active passive mode
    2. Configured Reporting services in active mode.
    3. at the time of reporting point role installed failover cluster database name given and its successfully verified with SCCM_123 database.
    4. on the instance name showing blank.
Please help me if anyone facing this type of problem.
    Thanks in advance.
    Rishi!!
    Regards, Rishi

It is not totally intuitive when installing the Reporting Point role with a cluster.  When installing a Failover Cluster, SSRS can only get put on one node or on its own box, as it uses NLB for scale-out not FoC.  SSRS is also not configured by
default if you use it with a clustered SQL instance, so you have to open SSRS Configuration Tool and make sure the ReportServerDB is created, and that the URLs can be browsed.  Once that is done, then try adding it in CfgMgr:
In CfgMgr, In the Administration workspace, expand Site Configuration, and then click
    Servers and Site System Roles.
Select the node that has SSRS installed on it (not the Failover Cluster virtual computer account).  If SSRS is on its own box, first you have to go to
New site system and add the SSRS box.
Then, on the Home tab, in the Server group, click
Add Site System Role. The Add Site System Roles Wizard opens.  Choose Reporting Point, and after verifying the connection to the CfgMgr DB, the instance name should populate.

  • Reporting point installation issues

OK I have inherited a SCCM SCOM environment and all DBs including WSUS are installed in the same instance.  Yuck.  I made a fuss to the DB Admins and they said Oh Its fine, you just need to install seperate SSRS instances and it will work, look
see here is an article stating so.
So I have installed seperate SSRS instances and am trying to get the reporting point to install with no luck.  Anyone have the steps involved in getting this working?  When I go to add the reporting point no SQL instance is showing up to select
    from.  Please help.  Thanks kindly.

  • Recovery Point creation fails because change traking has been marked inconsistent

I have a Hyper-v Cluster that is backed up using DPM 2012 SP1, for the last week when recovery point creation attempts to run I receive the following error message.
Change Tracking has been marked inconsistent due to one of the following reasons
    1. Unexpected shutdown of the protected server
    2. Unforeseen issue in DPM Bitmap failover during cluster failover of one or more datasources sharing the tracked volume. (ID 30501 Details: The parameter is incorrect (0x80070057))
After this error it performs a consistency check, it completes and a backup is stored, but as soon as it does another recovery point creation it fails again with the same error.
I have a Server 2012 R2 Hyper-v cluster with 2 virtual hosts and a quorum disk acting as the deciding vote. The backups completed for a month prior to this with no problems. No event seems to have triggered this problem it is just completely out of the blue.
I have update roll-up 8 on DPM and have both hosts within the cluster updated. They seem to consistently fail on one virtual host and intermittently fail on the other virtual host.
The event logs do not have any errors other than Event ID 1 VDS basic provider

    Hi,
Lets see if cleaning up all the filter bitmaps clears up the problem.
To get to a clean state please delete DpmFilter* files from “System Volume Information” using following steps.
    1. Open an administrative command prompt and run:
C:\>fltmc unload DpmFilter (run on all cluster nodes)
    2) From one of the Cluster nodes, run:
           C:\>psexec -s cmd  (psexec is
www.sysinternals.com tool used to run cmd under system account)
    3) In this new command prompt (running as system) run:
           C:\>CD C:\ClusterStorage
           C:\ClusterStorage>For /d %i in (volume*) do del /s "%i\System Volume Information\DpmFilter*"
Note: The * includes (DPMFilterBitmap{Guid}, DPMFilterStatus, DPMFilterLog, DPMFilterTrace*)
    4) verify files are deleted by running
            “dir /s /b DpmFilter*”
            exit
    5) Then load the filter again on all nodes
C:\>fltmc load DpmFilter (on all cluster nodes)
    6) Run DPM Consistency check against all the VM's to re-start normal protection.

  • The reporting point backflush is not possible for make-to-stock repetitive

    Hi All,
we are using the assembly backflush in the MTS REM process. we are need to do the reporting point backflush
if we tick against the RP backflush. what will be the effect in the process while confirmation.
i read the sap library . it say like
The reporting point backflush is not possible for make-to-stock repetitive manufacturing.
    is it correct.
    Thanks
    VRaj

    Hi mangal,
i did all the setting as you said. but when click on the reporting point.
    system thru error
    Error reading reporting point information
    Message no. RM111
    Diagnosis
The repetitive manufacturing profile is set for the reporting point procedure. However, either no reporting points exist for the material or they are incorrect. Two common reasons for this are:
The repetitive manufacturing profile has been changed in the current session.
You have not defined any milestone operations in the routing.
When creating the product cost collector, no reporting points were created.
    Procedure
    Two alternative solutions are possible:
Assign a repetitive manufacturing profile with no reporting point procedure to the material in the material master record.
Recreate the reporting points by recosting the product cost collector. To do this, the following prerequisites must be met:
In the material master record, in the production version, you must enter a routing under either detailed planning (first priority) or under rate-based planning (second priority).
Milestone operations must exist in this routing. The system ususally automatically creates the reporting points from these milestones when creating a product cost collector or when creating a production version.
how to create the REPORTING POINT

  • Reporting Point BackFlush

    Gurus,
Pl. Let me know, where to insert Reporting Points in the Product Cost Collectors?.
I have got a message that, either i should indicate reporting point in the routing or in the product cost collectors. (Routing i belive it is milestone control Key...).
Exact messge what i got is " Recreate the report points by recosting the product cost collector ....."
    Regards,
    K.Kumar.

    Dear Kumaran,
Regarding reporting point backflush, you have to make RP backflush mandatory in REM Profile and also
for automatic GR posting at last RP when back flushing.
And also whatever the control key thatu2019s used in the rate routing must be having the setting for
milestone confirmation,Say suppose if you are using PP01 control key for 3 operations in the rate
routing, then in T code OP67 for control key PP01 set value 1 for operation.
Assign this REM profile in the material master.
In MFBF,after entering the quantity, material, plant, select the check box for RP backflush and now enter
the first operation say 0010 and post ,at this point only activities and components gets posted.
Next you have to confirm operation 0020 and then while doing for 0030 GR and activities will get posted.
You can use MF26 for reporting point overview.
As far I know there's no relation between reporting points and product Cost collector.
    Check and revert back.
    Regards

  • Reporting Point Backflush in REM

    Dear all,
Consider the following scenario for RP backflushing in REM:
Total quantity produced on the line : 2 pc
There is one intermediate reporting point and one final reporting point.
REM profile <b>0004:Report. points with activities</b> is  being used.
Now, at the intermediate RP i confirmed 1 pc.
At the final RP the system allows me to confirm 2 pc with a warning.
How do i prevent this? I want the system to only allow as much quantity to be confirmed as has been confirmed at the previous RP.
    Kindly advice.
    Regards,
    Sumeet

    Dear Sumeet Vaidya,
Please give a try with this user exit <b>XMRM0001</b>.We used for a different
    purpose  during backflushing.
I'm not sure whether this user Exit works for this reason.
Please check with your ABAP consultant for more details.
    Please check & confirm
