Reporting poor to no Verizon coverage

Since Verizon makes it extremely difficult to report poor coverage, I figured I would just place the area here in hopes of an agent reading and reporting the problem.
There is little to no Verizon coverage of all types (4g/3g/2g) over pretty much the entire campus of the University of California, Riverside, and yes, including outside of classrooms/buildings.  The address of this campus is located at 900 University Ave, Riverside, CA 92507.  There are some spots on campus where there is absolutely zero coverage, including voice calls.  It seems that this is known by Verizon, as I have seen coverage problem reports dating back to 2009 regarding this area in these forums.  Certainly Verizon can do something to remedy this.  It would be nice to actually be able to USE my phone outside of the wifi connections within the buildings.  And no, my Samsung Galaxy S3 is not the problem, as it works perfectly fine in areas outside of the campus "dead zone".
Let's go Verizon.  You have the highest rated customer satisfaction of any other mobile phone provider.  Let's keep it that way and fix densely populated area dead zones.

Plopping a tower somewhere is not an easy task anymore with the NIMBY crowd. It can takes years, Not one or two, but many years and sometimes the companies just have to chalk it up as a lost cause.
It Could be zoning issues there, or any number of issues that precludes VZW from adding more service towers. Even the Pres of the school could be supported heavily by ATT or another cell company and they simply refuse to allow VZW to play

  • Report poor data coverage

Where can I report poor data coverage for my verizon 4G LTE hotspot?
    Salem Oregon, 97305.
Specifically the Corner of Cordon Rd and Hazelgreen Rd NE.  A little place called EZ Orchards has very poor data coverage. DOesn't matter inside, outside or upside down they unit get only 1 bar of data and cycle between 4G LTE AND 3G, it even show 1x evdo and basically useless.

We're here to do a service checkup nglayton! May I ask have you contacted our customer service dept yet? If not then let's look into this together. May I ask what model hotspot/jetpack do you have? Any liquid/physical damage on the device? Do you have any issues in another area outside of the zip code that you provided? As you share the details then we can investigate.
    Thank you…

  • Report to identify the requisitionsu2019 coverage

    Hi,
This is a requirement of a report to identify the requisitionsu2019 coverage expressed in production days according to the production schedule horizon.
Once a requisition is created either manually or automatically by the MRP, this report should be run in order to identify how many production days (in the production schedule horizon) are covered by the actual stock level, open purchase orders and purchase requisitions.
Please let me know any standard SAP report?
    Regards,
    AG

    Thanks

  • Any chance you will EVER offer actual Verizon coverage in West Central Illinois?

I live less than an hour north of Downtown St. Louis in west central Illinois and have been a loyal Verizon customer since the Ameritech days... (over 20 years.  We moved here knowing that "big red" would take care of us and it is frustrating to not be able to get the full benefit of my smart phone since there is absolutely NO Verizon coverage in our area and the best data we can hope for is 1x extended coverage for about a 30 mile radius.  I wish Verizon were more forthcoming about their expansion plans, or lack of plans so I could decide what to do accordingly.

If there isn't coverage within 30 miles of you then it will probably be  a LONG time if ever before you get coverage as it make sense for Verizon to cover the areas nearest current coverage first. You could check local zoning records and see if Verizon has applied for any permits. If not then it's probably best to go with another carrier since it could take a year or even 2 to build a tower once a permit is applied for.

  • Verizon coverage map - fact or fiction?

My wife and I have been out of contract with Verizon for some time.  We are currently shopping for a phone and a tablet.
One of our biggest concerns is signal reception: We head to a remote spot in eastern Washington state every weekend.  Our frustration with cell reception there has led us to installing a yagi antenna and Wilson signal booster.  This combination (with phone placed on the boosters "wire" antenna) allows us to go from zero signal to 1 bar voice service, and occasional 1G data.  These results are from an older HTC and Samsung smartphone.  Visitors with iPhones get mixed results.
The Verizon coverage map shows extended Digital Voice service at our exact location.  It also shows solid 3G coverage bordering 4G/lte at the same location.
Sooo, my first question is:  What is the general concensus of the Verizon coverage map for rural locations?  It is marketing blather or does somebody actually test random spots and extrapolate a best guess for points in between?  Certainly Verizon's claims appear lame at our location.
My second question is:  From the set of available Verizon offerings right now, I had three phone options I liked; LG 3, Samsung S5, and Motorola MotoX (gen 2).  I have not been able to find any conclusive review of reception/antenna quality on these phones.  Can anybody point me at something that would help me decide between them?
    Cheers

A cell tower is capable of sending a signal a certain distance and that is largely what the coverage maps are based upon. With that said, there are many factors which will lower the coverage footprint of any single tower which are listed as a disclaimer on Verizon's coverage map.
"These Coverage Locator maps depict predicted and approximate wireless coverage. The coverage areas shown do not guarantee service availability, and may include locations with limited or no coverage. Even within a coverage area, there are many factors, including customer’s equipment, terrain, proximity to buildings, foliage, and weather that may impact service. Some of the Coverage Areas include networks run by other carriers, the coverage depicted is based on their information and public sources, and we cannot ensure its accuracy."
You say you are in an area of "extended Digital Voice". These are normally areas reception on networks run by other providers, with information about coverage provided by said provider. IF phone coverage is important to you, you should find a provider with better coverage in the area. If there are no providers which can do so, get a landline or stay away from those areas.
Cellular service is not and never has been advertised as an available service for all areas. The technology isn't currently capable of doing so. Cellular is a line of site technology with rises and falls in surface topography being major factors which would lead to less than ideal reception(if any) in any given location. People who regularly frequent areas with limited reception must learn to live without service or find another method to get it.

  • Reporting Poor Coverage

I recently merged cell plans with my fiance and transferred by phone service from AT&T less than a week ago.  However, I appear to get extremely weak or no service when I am in my office.
Yes this is an indoor location (22060), but AT&T is reporting 4 of 5 bars of 3G service on my iPad.  Yet my "more coverage in more places" Verizon 5S is reporting a whopping 1 of 5 bars of 1x service or No service.  I've had to walk outside and down the street to get a signal to get any messages out.  Even my Sprint work Blackberry is reporting 4 of 5 bars of 3G service.
Its easy to put red color on a map outline and claim superior coverage.  It is something else completely to ACTUALLY HAVE SUPERIOR COVERAGE.

I am not in the office today so I do not know if that will help.  But I
will try.  If I do get a roam charge I will dispute it and use this email.
As for other Verizon users, turns out the phones what were issued by the
company were originally Verizon but they changed to another carrier because
there was no signal in the building.  This was apparently a year or so ago
and yet based on my experience hasn't changed which means we won't be
    switching back anytime soon.
As to your assertions that Verizon cannot anticipate signal strength inside
buildings, I find that incredibly irresponsible from a system design and
engineering standpoint and counter to assertions that your service is
superior to that of other carriers.  When every other carrier has superior
signal availability inside our building compared to Verizon devices it make
us SERIOUSLY regret signing our contract.
I will try the "roaming" option but since I cannot actually get a signal to
start with (according to the phone) in the building I don't have high
hopes.  At this point we will just count the days until we can cancel this
sub-standard, poorly designed, service, warn others to stay away and not
believe the questionable claims in Verizon advertisements, and eventually
get service with a provider who actually designs their system to be used in
locations where people actually need and use them.

  • How to I report poor LTE service coverage in zip code 94403?

I have a Jackpot, a home router and 2 iphone 5 in my house and 4G is slower than 3G or sometimes not loading any data. I just moved to this area so I don't know how long it's been this way. I made numerous phone calls to the Verizon service and tried all trouble shootings suggested on similar discussions here. This router is not a mobile device and it's been sitting at home not working and I cannot pay for the service I am not using. I'm about to cancel my home plan since there's no improvement whatsoever after my phone calls. Please don't respond with same repeated solutions that didn't work. Let me know what you can actually do to fix the problem on your end. My devices are perfectly normal in other areas. Thank you.

bimil0 Reliable coverage is a must! We apologize for the issues you have experienced with service in your new area. Our goal is to provide the best solution and keep you as a happy customer. You mentioned that you have called us and completed all troubleshooting, have you also had a network ticket filed?

  • How do I report poor service?

The 4G service along the UP-NW Metra Line from the Cumberland stop in Des Plaines, IL all the way to Ogilvie Transportation Center in Chicago is unacceptably poor. Recently, both data and voice service have been failing between the Jefferson Park and Clybourn stops. I would like to know how to report this issue as I use the line Monday - Friday and I attempt to do all of my online business while on the train so I can focus on other items when I return home.

I think my initial concern about weak signal has been coupled with poor service as described here.
The network congestion likely does not affect the weakness in 4G signal as decreases and drop out are predictable as it happens in the same stretches of my commute. Also, I travel in my car at higher rates of speed than in the train and I do not suffer from the same oscillation of signal strength between full and complete drop out. I have spoke with a couple other commuters and they have expressed the same issues with poor signal.
The frustration is mounting as I pay a premium for "America's Most Reliable 4G Network." If my service get interrupted when I do not pay, it is only fair that I should be able to interrupt payment when my service gets regularly interrupted.
My contract is up in December. I have been a Verizon customer for over 9 years, and I might consider looking for a different carrier that will be able to provide a more reliable signal, or possibly the same quality signal at a more reasonable price.

  • Moving to an area with marginal Verizon coverage.

Moving to an area in Florida (Manatee Co.) with poor signal for cell phone and MiFi.  Is there a way to boost my incoming signal, out going signal or both without abandoning my Verizon carrier?  If you care to email me directly with any ideas I would appreciate it.  The local outlets/stores do not have a clue about how to answer my question.
    Thank you,

You must be moving to east of I-75 in Manatee County because the signal near Bradenton should be pretty good. I would suggest a network extender but it seems you'll be using Verizon as your internet connection so that wouldn't do any good.

  • Verizon coverage

I was an Alltel customer for over 5 years and had no problem with reception where I live.  I went with Alltel because they have the best coverage in Wisconsin and in my 54180 zip code area.  After Verizon acquired Alltel I thought the service would get better.  Instead it is worse.  I have dropped calls all the time, 25% of my text message time out, and calls come to my phone without ringing and go to voicemail.  How can this be?

Looking at your PRL and SID, you must no longer have an Alltel account.
What I would do is call and ask for the Hybrid PRL to be pushed through. If the area has not been combined yet, the hybrid PRL would look for Alltel towers first and then the Verizon towers 2nd.Right now it is the opposite (VZW 1st, Alltel 2nd)
If not any better, you can call in and have the PRL switched back.

  • How do I report poor service in zip code 22845 Virginia?

My iPhone 5 has spotty service at best in the region 22845. My phone generally says 1x or 3g with one bar but overall won't send messages.

You've come to the right place for help, gdhokie. It looks like that zip code is right at the border of Virginia and West Virginia and the terrain in the area may cause some service difficulties. How long have you experienced these issues? Try entering your address into www.vzw.com/maps to check coverage for your area. Our Network Extender http://vz.to/IHRT6h would help for service at your home.

  • Is there a way to report and inquire about verizon service outages online

Service is out today in my entire region which is in the 81055 zip code area.  It seems to me that verizon would have a source within its website to update customers of outages but I can't seem to find any help.   I don't have a land line to call verizon.  Can anyone tell me if I am just missing something obvious?

Unfortunately, VZW does not offer any site that allows us to know of an outage.
We have offered suggestions to place one on this site that only reps can post, not subscribers but it was deemed not necessary.
From VZW and other providers view, I am guessing posting outages would be a PR Boon for competitors who could use it in an ad.

  • Poor Service from Verizon and Asurion

I had my phone replaced less then 12 days ago with warranty because of battery issues. Over the weekend I pulled my phone out of my pocket (always had my phone in my pocket for years) noticed my phones screen is not working. You can hear notification, and etc.. After spending 2 hours on the phone and at the store, I was told my phone had a pressure crack. No one can explain why, and i am to blame. At this point I just need a phone, I have a home based business and need to stay in touch via phone, text or email. Asurion does not have the phone I currently have and I have to accept what they do have. As a consumer I am paying a monthly amount to have insurance to replace my exact same phone, not to take what ever phone they can give me. I called verizon again today, and pretty much was told it is not verizon's issue and to deal with Asurion. I am glad to see after 6 years with a company and paying for insurance since day one,  it paid off.

Point one Verizon gives a run down on all insurances on their web site and hand outs in the stores.
Additionally asurian sends out insurance welcome kit which explains everything.
Now the devices that are sent out as replacements are junk. I totally agree with you on that point.
I don't care if Verizon claims 100 point check on each refurbished device it sends.
It is quite evident from your complaint and others here going through 3-4+ replacement devices shows me you are still getting a broken phone. But manufacturers send out the same type of junk as well.
    You cannot win.

  • Verizon Coverage Locator hasn't worked for 3+ weeks

Anyone know what's up with the coverage locator?  If you trying to enter an address, pan, zoom or switch coverage types, absolutely nothing happens.  It's been like this for over three weeks now.
I travel and work full-time and rely on that map to direct me to where I may have coverage (even if the coverage is greatly exaggerated, at least I know which places to avoid for sure!). I've had friends check as well, so it's not just my browsers.  You would think someone would have noticed this and fixed it by now.

Thank you. I was just accused of being like bad rep at VZW, so this is nice to see! hahahahaha
Anyways, the locator used to work with Chrome, so I am not sure what has happened.

  • Verizon Coverage Map

Much of west Kentucky has been upgraded to 4G LTE, but nothing has changed on the map in nearly a month. In fact, the map will say 7/22 updated, then 6/27, etc. Not a big deal by any means. But, I was curious where the new areas were exactly. For a while, they were updating the map real good, but it's been weird for the last month. What's up VZW? Just curious.

Take note, as of today, their 6/27/2013 map date. Out of date and not representative of what coverage is out there in this area. Again, just curious as to why all of the sudden. It was updated very well prior to late June.
