Reports 3.0 Size

Currently the size of the report that is being generated in PDF format is about 90MB.
Would appreciate if anybody could comment on reducing the size of the report. The body of report has no graphics, images, etc. It's just numbers and varchar2. The report should be compatible with Web browser.

Crystal report of label size is not printing correctly

Hi,
we have interated crystal report CR4E version with our application and facing 2 issue when i am generating crystal reports from application.
we are having a crystal report designed for label size.
1.
While generate the report from application with output as a pdf browser and print to label printer (DYMO Label Writer 400) all the records(for example:7) are getting printed in a single label .
when the same report is generated from crystal report software and print to label printer (DYMO prinetr 400) all the records (For example:7 records) it is printing each record per page (for example :7 pages).
2.
When i am generating crystal report of label size from my application and getting the binary data . When i am sending this binary data to a label printer(DYMO Label writer 400) i am getting an exception "printer's imageable width is too small".
i am using CR4E crystal report version and java 1.5 verison.The paper size of the label printer (DYMO label Writer 400)" 30252 Address"
can any one please help me on this issues.

when i export the report all the records are seperated across several pages. i am using adobe print to print the report.

I am printing the report using in 2 different ways.
1. Using adobe print
I have designed the label report for 1.1 height and 3.5 width in crystal report designer. but when i generate the report with pdf browser as output the report height and width are 11.0 height and 8.50 width.
2. Using printoutputcontroller
I am printing the report directly from the application using printoutput controller . when i print using print output controller i am getting an exception "printer's imageable width is too small".
My application is developed in java. Please help me to display this report in my application as per the page size I mentioned and also how can i avoid the exception "printer's imageable width is too small".

Adobe Bridge Reports Inaccurate File sizes

Im still in CS4 but can't seem to find a forum on CS4. In any case, why does Bridge report inaccurate file sizes? I thought I could use bridge to select all of the M2V files in a folder which I wanted to use in an Encore DVD project to get an accurate total file size. That way I would know if all of the selected files would fit on a single DVD. But Bridge doesn't report an accurate total file size of selected files. What's up with that? Is that too much to ask out of Bridge?

Well I think we are talking about something you already discovered but there
seems not an official name for it I believe, I call it the activity bar, it
might also be called a status bar or status monitor, can't find the official
name for it at this moment.
Anyway It is at the bottom of the Bridge window left side. Click on a folder
and it tells you the number of items showed and items hidden (and here it
should also say the total amount of folder size but as said before, a long
standing feature request). Click on one or more files and it shows the
amount of selected files and the total size of the selected files.
When first opening a folder in the content window Bridge needs to cache the
thumbs and depending on settings also thumbnails. When caching you see in
this bar a spinning arrow showing it is still caching and also the amount of
files to cache that are left.

Reports6i:Developing reports of different size(Pre-Printed Stationary)

I am using Reports 6i. I want to generate reports of page size 3.5" (height), 11.5"(width). I modified the layout sections width and height properties.
I am printing reports on continuous Pre-printed stationary with dot matrix printer.
After printing first record, the continuous stationary is skipping 3 records space(It is taking printer portrait height 11" and width 8.5" setting) and after that the next record is printing.
What are the settings to be modify to avoide the skipping of 3 records space in the stationary.
Looking for your help/suggestions

Hi Krishna!
I suppose that you have modified properties of the "Main Section" of the "Layout Model" in Object Navigator.
Several things can be checked:
1. In the layout editor click "Edit Margin" button and make sure that the outer black frame (your actual page to be prited) is of the size you want.
2. If you have a repeating frame check that "Maximum records per page", "Vert.space between frames", "Page break after", and some others are set properly.
3. Another approach is to generate your report into pdf file and print it using OS means.

Sun Studio 11 install report 0 bytes size of products.

Hi , I'm trying to install Sun Studio into Solaris 8 , but thats report 0 bytes size to be installed and no more messages.

Hmm... could you just check that you have downloaded the SPARC version of the product? I have seen zero bytes in each cluster when trying to install the "wrong" architecture. Also, there is a gotcha on Solaris 8 - you must have the SUNWbash package (which is on the companion CD for Solaris 8 I believe) otherwise your install will fail. This isn't the symptom of that problem, I'm just mentioning it ahead of time.

Printing Crystal Report decreasing font Size in web.

Printer reduces font:
when we use crystal report`s print button to print report, It reduces original font size....
I am using Crystal report viewer to preview and print the report in which print mode is "pdf". I tried with "ActiveX" mode but its generate error...
I using Crystal Report 13.0 in asp.net2010.

Report for download sizes?

Hi,
I realise that when viewing each file in DW there is a download size/time info panel at the bottom of the page, but I'm looking to generate a report of the download size for each page of my website so I can evaluate and compare at a glance. Is this possible ?

How to allocate space for headers in reports through line size r line count

may i know how to allocate space for a header ( we do the same for footer through line-count ( footer space ) ) through line size or line count in reports...

Hi..,
There is no need to reserve any space for the header. TOP-OF-PAGE can by default allocates the space for the header.

LIST REPORT with line-size 279 to PDF document

I have a classical report outputting dynamic internal table contents, I wanted this to be in PDF document. I have used LIST to PDF conversion technique to get PDF document, which is successful. But I see the font size is small.
I have used FM: CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF with the following values being passed.

when I make use of get_size_from format parameter in the FM, I'm able to get bigger font but layout is not proper (like page format should have been in LANDSCAPE but it is display PDF in PORTRAIT ).
I'm trying to build PDF with LETTER format in LANDSCAPE orientation.
I had searched enough threads in forum but no relevant answers for this type of issue.

i have problem with paper size in report as html css
i set 8.5 - 14 for A4
but when my report page more than 2 or 3 pages , my print preview in IE or Mozilla is not correct and this area is variable for header and body
how to fix this it,

Well I m trying to Implement the note 1003236 but it is showing the yellow light signal and showing the report j_1icapg.
It is showing some synatx error.

From the post mentioned by ravi, i can define the line size upto 1023. and so i did upto 425. but my problem is while printing the report. I also tried ALV and that also doesn't print some data. I guess my best bet right now is to download that internal table to an Excel file.
let me know if there is any other way to fix this.

FTP connections through Finder not reporting correct file size

I have a NAS that running as an FTP server. When I connect to it through Finder it reports the incorrect file size of 2.7GB (the real file size is 61GB)
Its an DMG image file so it obviously fails when I try to image a new IMAC.
FTP through windows reports the correct file size so rules out any problem on the NAS.
Any ideas anybody?

Financial Reports PDF File Size

We recently patched from 11.1.2 to 11.1.2.2 and we have noticed that the PDFs generated from Financial reporting have a file size significantly larger (4x) then when they were done with the previous release. Nothing has changed on the reports. Is there some configuration that can be done to get the PDF file size back to where it was previously ? From Financial reports Help-> About we are on version 11.1.2.362.

11.1.2.2 come with a new print engine, which does your PDF looks different in size. You may have change the settings by selecting the "Auto Size" option in the Grid Poperties and test
