Not able to see the crystal reports XI version in the IE 7 and IE 8
Hi Team,
I am using web based application developed in VB,ASP,SQL SERVER,Crystal Reports(XI). I am able to see the Crystal Reports in IE 6. But i am not able to see the reports in IE 7 and IE 8. While clicking on the reports button it is showing the red X image top left cornor.
I am using CrystalActiveX viewer11 version for viewing the reports.
In IE 6,if the client using fiirst time for vieiwing the reports,it will ask the Activexviewer control prompt and says ok,it will display the reports.
Thanks and Regards
EshwarThanks your advise. But we are using following crystal reports (XI) version and we don't have CRXI with R1 and R2.
CurrentVersion:11.0.0.895 ( CR Developer and Product Type:Full)
Crystal Reportviewer11 configured in the IIS which is version (5.0). and configured the virtual folder to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\3.0\crystalreportviewers11\.
Our web application code also configured in the IIS at same level.
When the user wants to see the reports through the application,it will ask the Plugin of Crystal Report Viewer and user will download this plugin and it will save in the IE plug ins.It will ask only first time viewing the reports for the next onwards it will not ask or prompt of the Activex control.
So please suggest me, is there any upgrade version of this Crystal Reportviewer11 needs to be installed or any browser setting need to be configured for IE 7 and IE 8.
waiting for your reply.

To remove the assemblies from the GAC use gacutil. Google will get you a number of links on how to. Font problem in reports, IAS Version: 10.1.2.2.0
Dear all,
I have installed about 20 applications servers on windows but never met this problem before.
I am facing the problem in viewing the report output on the Windows 2003, Oracle Application server
Installation Type: Forms and Reports Services
Version: 10.1.2.2.0
I am using Arial 10 as default Font of the report,
but in output I am getting another font.
Please Help!
Regards,
TobiasI have found this reference on a search of oracle:
http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/bi.1012/b14048/pbr_trouble.htm
Section D1.11 says this is a know problem and to copy one registry entry to another, however, this entry does not exist on the Windows 2003 server this is running on.
Any ideas?
D.1.11 Printing and Font Errors When Using In-process Server
The in-process server does not recognize the default printer of a user currently logged on to Windows. This is because the service that runs the in-process server is logged on as the Local System.
Problem
Any of the following:
* Printing to default printer fails with the REP_3002 error. For example, the following command:
http://myrepsrvr.us.oracle.com:7777/reports/rwservlet?report=myrep.rdf&destype=printer&desformat=html
results in the following error: Error:"REP-3002: Error initializing printer. Please make sure a printer is installed."
* Deploying reports containing Oracle6i Graphics (OGD) graphics causes Reports Server to stop responding.
* Font alignment problems in a PDF file output from an in-process server.
Solution
To work around all these issues:
1. Open the Windows registry using a registry editor (for example, regedit.exe). Create a backup of the registry before you edit it.
2. Navigate to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Windows
3. Copy the string value of Device for this key. For example: \\MOWGLI\sierra,winspool,Ne02:
4. Navigate to the following key: HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Windows
5. Paste the Device value copied from HKEY_CURRENT_USER (the string value of Device for this key will be empty). -

Is there any SAP tool to run reports on different report server versions
Hi,
I have to run crystal reports on different report server versions. This is a repetition of the tasks as it requires installation of report servers and executing reports on both. Is there any SAP reporting tool which simplifies all these tasks , runs the report at the same time on different report servers and gives output for both executions?
Thanks.Hi,
I have to run a single CR report on different versions of CR report server for validating if the report runs correctly.
So can be it done like a scheduler which then generates report result files.
Thanks. -

Agent Status Reports OMS Version : (unknown)
I upgraded our 11g OEM installation to 12.1.0.1 and just completed patching to 12.1.0.3. Some of the 11g agents were on platforms not supported by 12.1.0.1 (part of the motivation fro the 12.1.0.3 upgrade, now complete).
Following the instructions in Chapter 7, Installing Oracle Management Agent in the Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control Basic Installation Guide 12c Release 3 (12.1.0.3) I was able to get the agent installed and started on one of the servers I was not able to upgrade during the upgrade process. The new agent is up and running but reports OMS Version : (unknown) -

Currently in our application, we are using Crystal Report XI R2 for generating the reports. We are in the process of upgrading the Crystal Report to SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio (File Version 13.8). I updated that on my machine and all the reports work fine. I didn't have to modify any of the reports.
However when comparing the reports, we found that there are few reports on which the total no. of pages differ from the report displayed using Crystal Report XI R2 vs SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio (File Version 13.8). Comparing the reports, it looks all the data that were fit on one page earlier with version XI R2 doesn't fit on the same page with version 13.8, thereby increasing the page counts.
The fonts, page margins everything set on report itself. Nothing being set in the code.
Both the application is using the same report that is pulling the data from the same database. Our application is a web application.
Any suggestion, why this is happening.
Thanks.
SanjayI am not sure what is being compared here?
CRXI R2 designer to CRVS?
CR XI R2 in some version of .NET to CRVS?
CR XI R2 using RDC SDK to CRVS?
Also, is this happening on your development computer or after you deploy?
If you compare the the "Page setup" options dialog between reports that work and those that do not work, do you see any difference?
Is this a web or a win app?
Are you seeing the same issue when viewing and exporting - say export to PDF?
What is the printer driver used and it's version?

Difference between Crystal Report with VS2010 and Crystal Report Professional Version
Dear Experts,
We want to know the difference between Crystal Report Version with VS 2010 and Crystal Report Profesional Version.
And from where we should buy it provide the link.
Thanking you,

You could design your report with any one of CR 2008/2011/2013 and still could use in the app with 13 version references.

Setting default page in Interactive Report Dashboard (Version 9.3.1)
Does any one know how I can set the default page (to be the first page) in Hyperion Interactive Report Dashboard version 9.3.1?
I have a report with dashboard that returns 56 pages (and the user scrolls down to page 8 of page 56) and selects a filter (which only has one page of data). However, since the user had scrolled down to page 8, the default page remains at 8 and when the user scrolls up, he/she sees blank pages (thereby causing Servlet error which Hyperion has identified as being reproducible and a bug).
They have recommened that I use the onClick event trigger for the Set Filter command button to always default the page to 1 (when the set Filter button is clicked). This will put the user on page one always and prevent the Servlet error (and them seeing unnecessary blank pages).
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance

Hi all,
is there a way to hide or disable the option "Export In Query Ready Mode" for HTML FR reports (workspace) version 11.1.1.3.
Thanks in advance!
Regards
Tej.Hi Tej,
The feature, "to hide or disable the option "Export In Query Ready Mode" has been introduced in Financial Reporting 11.1.2.3.
Logon to EPM Workspace.
Open menu File > Preferences > Financial Reporting.
The new option, called "Disabled" is available for Query Ready Mode. If selected will disable Query Ready mode completely.
Thanks,

Well I found a temporary fix for this issue. I put the http://www.businessobjects.com/ as a trusted site in IE!!
First, get the URL of the site to trust. For example, " http://www.businessobjects.com/
.Next, Click on the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options". Click on the "Security" tab.
Click on the green circle with a white check marked "Trusted Sites". In the space provided, enter the URL of the site (you'll probably want to uncheck the box requiring SSL, which is a high-security link, for all sites). Click the "Add" button. Continue entering sites until you have them all entered, then click OK as needed. If you find another trusted site later, simply go back to this menu item and enter the data. -
