Reports builder on Windows 7 (64bit)

Hello,
I hope someone can help me with this....... I have installed Oracle Forms an Reports (64) on Windows 7 (64bit) successfully, but when i try to start report builder it does not open and no error apeared. I try to run it in cmd and i get the following message : The Reports Builder is only supported on the Linux x86 and Windows x86 operating systems... So is it true that I can't run reports on 64bit Windows or am I doing somethin wrong? What can I do? Can I install Forms/Reports (x86) on my version of Windows and will it work?
If someone has any idea please hepl me,
thank you!!

Today I installed FMW 11.1.1.3 and got the same error message when calling rwbuilder.bat. I had to remove the line "goto end" in the batch file to get Reports Builder running. I havn't tested the stability so far but at least I can run the builder. It is (as expected) the 32-bit software. If there are problems I would try to run it in compatibility mode.

    Hello,
I have 11g on my laptop running windows 7 64 bit.
I need to be familiar with the report builder real quick.
I cannot find the software to download for report builder for 11g for windows 64 bit.
    Can anybody help........

Forms 11.1.2.1 is the right version to use. Have you followed installation steps similar to the below? If you don't install WebLogic, Forms/Reports won't work.
    Steps to install:
    1.) Install Supported JDK: 1.6.0_35+ or 1.7.0_07+
    2.) Install WebLogic 10.3.6
    3.) Install Forms/Reports Home
4.) Configure Forms/Reports builders and weblogic domain
    5.) Open reports builder.
    Thanks,

  • CF8 Report Builder duplicates subreport parameters

I am experiencing this problem running Report Builder under
    Windows XP:
    1. Create a report.
    2. Create a subreport that has input parameters.
    3. Add the subreport to the primary report and define
    subreport parameters.
    4. Save and close both files.
    5. Reopen the primary report file.
    6. Look at the list of subreport parameters for the linked
    subreport
I routinely find that in this scenario, any subreport
parameter that I originally defined has been duplicated, such that
    if I started with:
    varOne - #query.foo#
    varTwo - #query.bar#
Upon reopening the primary report and insepcting the
subreport paramaters list I will see:
    varOne - #query.foo#
    varTwo - #query.bar#
    varOne - #query.foo#
    varTwo - #query.bar#
Which causes errors when I attempt to run the report.
What's the patch schedule for report builder?

This problem appears to be fixed in build 181436 of the
    Report Builder

  • Report Builder 11g on Windows 7(64bit)?

    Hi Oracle Guys
I know that Report Builder 11g is not certified on Windows 7 (64Bit)
Knows someone if release 2 it is planned ?
Or knows someone for when the releases 2 or a patch is planned?
We want to install next year new Developer-Clients and we want to know if Windows 7 64bit is an “no go”
    thx

I use the 11g Reports Builder on 64bit Windows 7.
It works fine except that it doesn't like the Aero interface. Windows automatically switches to basic mode when you're running the builder.
If you're ok with that then you shouldn't have any problems.
    Cheers,
    Toby.

Reports Builder 11g doesn't work on 64-bit OS-system (linux also). You can only use an VM-maschine with 32-bit OS or wait until oracle fineshed the Builder for 64-bit.

    Hi InoL
    Thanks for your reply.
Would this work with Reports 11g? rwbuilder.exe seems to require being called via rwbuilder.bat in 11g.

  • Report Builder 10g does not start on Windows 7 (stays minimized)

When i run the report builder 10g in my Windows 7 machine, the splash screen appears for some time and then it minimizes to the task bar. Thinking that it has loaded and gone to task bar, if i click the icon on task bar, it shows another splash screen and loads another copy of Report Builder, which also minimizes to same icon.
On right-clicking the icon there is no maximize button. I tried running it as administrator and also fix the compatibility, but nothing worked.
This issue starts only after some days of installing the developer 10g. It worked ok for some days and then it started behaving like this. Seen this twice now, both times on re-installing the developer suite the issue goes away.
Is there any way to solve this other than re-install the Oracle Developer ?

    - Crystal Report Basic Runtime for Visual Studio 2008 (x64)
On a 32bit-system or 32bit-mode (and 32bit Oracle Client) everything is working fine. But I have to use the 64bit Oracle Client, therefore, Crystal Report have to work in 64bit-mode.
Is it possible and what is to do to get it working, thanks,
    Martin

It does work on 64 bit OS - as a 32 bit application. CR 2008 is 32 bit only.
See the article [Crystal Reports support of 64 bit Operating Systems|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/10d5fa88-2013-2c10-c9a5-f11963607d4e] for more info.

  • Hyperlinks to new window in CF Report Builder

I'm working in Coldfusion Report Builder, and I'm trying to include hyperlinks that target a new window. However the builder only allows me to input the URF and doesn't have any options. Any idea on how to get around this??? Please help!!!

    The Madness wrote:
Seems like it should be doable.  I usually us a crosstab and it is relatively straightforward.  Any suggestions in Reprot Builder?  Thanks.
A report will accept whatever data-set you provide it.
The trick is to do the crosstab using your database engine. The result-set returned by the database engine can easily be used to create a report.
It is worth noting that Report Builder is for creating fixed layout reports. It is not possible to have a dynamic number of fields generated at run-time. You have to explicitly place each field in the report.
What this means is that your cross-tab query must always return the same number of fields, or at a minimum it needs to return the fields that appear in the report.
