Reports error rep-1223

I am using Developer suite 9i reports. In the running of one report, i am getting the message rep-1223 "Invalid page size". I do not know, how to see help on the error message. Even i have the old Reports developer 2.5, but in that also, i forgot how to see the error message. Could i get help on how to see the menu sequence help to see the error message.
I hope, my quetion is clear. Please help in solving the doubt.

Did you set the Layout Model, header/Main/Trailer --> Width/Height and need to check format type, some case run in Character mode or Bitmap Mode.

Report Errors REP-1051 and REP-1070 when saving

I just created a new report. I'm now getting errors REP-1051 and REP-1070 when I attempt to save the .rdf to my local hard drive (or anywhere else for that matter). Permissions where I try to save it are OK, in fact if I remove the SQL and insert "select * from dual", it saves nicely. Is there a query size limit of which I'm unaware? The SQL runs corrrectly, compiles correctly, etc. I just can't seem to save my work. Thank you in advance.

Reports error REP-0002 Unable to retrieve a string

I am continuing to receive this error in the production database. All I need to do is to recompile the report in the production database and use the new reports runtime.
Does any one know why is this happening and is there any solution for it.
REP-0002: Unable to retrieve a string from the Report Builder message file.
I am using Reports 3.0 and Windows NT.

1) Check that the user running the report has execute permissions on any stored

2) Run the report as an .RDF not an .REP , that is remove or rename the .REP

3) Compile the report against the same instance it is being run against.

I face this error when i calling report from form.i am passing from date value in P_FROM_DT parameter in form.
Terminated with error: <br>REP-546: Warning: The value of restricted LOV parameter P_FROM_DT is not among the selectable values.

Report error rep-1070 with oracle reports

Hi Diana,
This error means Reports can't understand the file. One way this happens is if you transfer the file from one platform to another (e.g., UNIX to Windows) using FTP without putting it in binary mode. Another way you might get this error is opening a v1.1 report in 2.5 that wasn't migrated properly.

These two errors are just saying that there is uncompiled PL/SQL in the report:
REP-0736: There exist uncompiled program unit(s)
REP-1247: Report contains uncompiled PL/SQL
When you are running your report in Reports Builder are you using the same database connection as when the report is run from the concurrent manager (ie are you logged on as APPS in Reports Builder)?
If not, I would guess that the user you are connected to in Reports Builder has access to a database object you are referencing in PL/SQL that the APPS user does not have access to or refers to by a different name.
If you are connected as APPS, then I would suggest that you do a full recompile in Reports Builder (Program -> Compile -> All) and see if that identifies any errors.

Rep - 1223 (Invalid Page Size)/Urgent

Hi,
I has developed a report in character mode.Then i save the report.In order to have a precise alignment i then changed the design in character units property to Yes.After some time,while running the report it gave an error Rep - 1223 (Invalid Page Size).
On seeing the property inspector for Paper layout for the Main Section,i saw that the width and height property increased to some very high level.On trying to reducing the width and height size ,it gave a message that unable to reduce it since the layout is not large enough to accomodate layout items.
Even when i do not save the report the next time,the error somehow persists.
This kind of error comes very occasionally when try to design character mode reports using design in character units property set to Yes.
Kindly help me out.

ORACLE_HOME is on mount point u03, checked config.properties but no mention of mount point /u01.
Dont know from where /u01 came. Could you please help me re configuring the env pointing to /u03.
Reports server is up though without any issues.

Ensure that the report name is correct. Also ensure that the report exist in REPORTS_PATH environment variable. Otherwise run the report including the reports path.
E.g.
report=<reports directory>/test2.rdf

Error REP-0300: ORACLE error occurred while running Custom Report

Hi Team.
We are facing a very strange issue here.
We have an env , where all the custom reports are failing .Whereas the concerned env is a clone of the Production instance . There is one more instacne which is also a clone of the prod, over there these reports are working fine .
I have checked all the thread here about this error, but could not get the required information .
We are on RHEL 5 on Linux 64 bit server.
Could you please guide me , how to figure out whats the difference between these cloned instances .
We have an Sr with Oracle Support but its progressing very slowly.

Please confirm that you have the patches mentioned in (Doc ID 1368715.1) applied.
I understand this is a cloned instance, but this error is intermittent and having the patches applied should clear our doubts.

Parameter Form not calling the Main report - Gives REP-0110, REP-1070, REP-0110 error

I am using run_report_object to call a report in which the user has to input some paramters. I have followed the instructions as in the Oracle White paper document on Forms/Reports integration.
The paramter report does come up but when I hit the submit button, I get an error
REP-0110: Unable to open file 'rclug005'.
REP-1070: Error while opening or saving a document.
REP-0110: Unable to open file 'rclug005
I've checked the privileges and everything's fine on that front. Also, I can get to open the report with the web.show document built-in with paramform setting = No.
I am guessing something's wrong with the html constructed in the parameter form which is,

I am building the variable exactly as in the White paper in the "before form" trigger using exactly the same values give there.
vc_hidden_runtime_values := 'server='||:p_servername||'&report='||vc_report_name||'.rep&destype='||:destype||'&desformat='||:desformat||'&userid='||:p_userinfo;
My report has some extra parameters too it expects. So do I have to include the names of those parameters too in the string above?
For example, in my report a user parameter is named 'print_date', which I do see and populate with value in the parameter form, then do I have to build that in the vc_hidden_runtime_values string above.
I am using Report 6.0.8.11.3 on 9iAS.
