Reports from two different users print on one page

Hi, can anyone help?
With Oracle 10g I get the following problem; If two users are running different reports at similar times the user that runs his report second will get his and the previous report on one page, they get combined. The user who ran his report first will get his report correctly.

Thank you for your response. Yes I am using a temp table where I replace variables with paramaters provided by the user. I have rectified the problem by putting in place a check to see if the temp table is in use, if it is a message tells the user to try later. Thank you you were spot on.

I'm not sure whether I understand your question. If one user changes a record then you would like other users to see those changes. Normally those changes will be visible to other users when they refresh their browser, after the first user has committed changes to the record. I you want to be sure that the same row isn't updated at the same time by to different user, you need to configure some locking (pessimistic locking) - this depends of what technology you use. In EJB3 pessimistic locking is performed by adding a version to every entity object. If you are using ADF, the framework is able to handle either pessimistic or even optimistic locking.
If you want the changed row to be updated in other users browsers without any user interaction by these users, you should take a look at Reverse Ajax (ex. DWR http://ajaxian.com/archives/reverse-ajax-with-dwr) - or Ajax in general. But you will never get a realtime solution, where changes is visible in other users browsers right after each record update.

Usually, if two users try to update the same row at the same time, you want the first to commit to succeed, and when the second commits, they should fail with the error that the row was being concurrently updated. They you may want to show them the new row values and give them the opportunity to merge their values with the new row values...
How can you achieve this? Google optimistic locking.

I should add that you can turn on SHARING where each user can see the other user's library and play stuff out of it. But they can not import those tracks to their own library or put them into their own playlists or burn CDs of the shared library.
Also note, to do this you need to have the fast switching option enabled with the accounts so both can be running at the same time and both must have iTunes running at the same time.

Two different TOC styles in one Pages document?

I'm a new Pages 2.0.2 user with a large document with two different tables of contents 20 pages apart. I'm trying to format them differently using different TOC styles but when I change one's style the other one changes as well. Anything I do format-wise to one goes over to the other as well. I'm hoping this is just something I have yet to learn about the product. Any thoughts?

"Changing the appearance of text in a table of contents
You can change the appearance of text in a table of contents and also add a leader line between a TOC heading and its associated page number.
To change the appearance of text in a table of contents:
Select the TOC heading you want to change. When you select a TOC heading, all the entries of the same heading type are automatically selected; headings cannot be individually selected.
Click View in the toolbar, and then choose Show Styles Drawer.
The Styles drawer displays a list of table of contents (TOC) styles. The TOC style that corresponds to the selected entry type is also selected.
Do one or more of the following:
To change the appearance of text, change it as you would format any paragraph text. For example, choose Format > Font or use the Text Inspector to make edits.
To create leader lines from a TOC heading to its associated page number, click Inspector in the toolbar, click the Text Inspector button, and then click Tabs. Click the value for the TOC in the Tab Stops list, and then choose a line style from the Leader pop-up menu."

Writing data from two different acquisition rates into one file

Hi,
I'm using a compactRIO, and I have an anemometer outputting data at 4Hz to the serial port on the controller, and I am using a 9237 module to read strain from two channels at 40Hz. I would like to record all this data in one file, but I'm unsure how to have the data points match up with respect to time since they are read at different rates. Basically I have 10 strain data points for every one anemometer data point, but that one data point needs to somehow be associated with the other 10 read in the same amount of time. It would be okay to "extend" the slower data to the 10 strain points, and likewise to the next ten when the anemometer refreshes its values.

If each data acquisition loop enqueues data to one file writing loop the data is writen in order. Queues are really a good way to multiplex data sources

How do you display data from two different data-sets on one list

I have a data-set that is displaying properly; I would like to add another data-set to the other portion of the form.
The first part of the data set has Product information (Product-Name, Product_number, etc),
The second portion of the data-set has information like (Product-campaign, Product-Sales, etc)
The two data-sets are mutually exclusive

Patrick Hurst mentioned, if the several tables didn't have any relationship with each other and you want to put all the information together to display in one report, you need to add several tablix/list in the same report and each tablix/list to display
the data from each table.
If the several table have a same relationship field you can use the
lookup function to get the other maped fields display in the same tablix/list.(this function supportted on the SSRS 2008 r2 and later version).

Can I Read From two different Kindle accounts on one ipad?

My fiance just bought an ipad 4. She has installed the Kindle app so she can read content from her Amazon Kindle library on her ipad.
I have a separate Amazon Kindle library that I want to read on her ipad too. How can I do this without co-mingling our Kindle libraries? Is there a way to install two separate Kindle apps on her ipad?
I will be most appreciative of any solutions that you can offer to me.

You can use Safari (the Amazon site that it's only compatible with Safari on iOS devices) and go to https://read.amazon.co.uk/ and you should be able to save the site/'web app' to your iPad's homescreen and link it to a different account than is in the Kindle app itself.

Possible to add apps from two different itunes accounts?

So my family just purchased an iPad and I was wondering if it was possible to add apps from two different user accounts without paying for them twice? My dad synced it up with his computer so all the apps from his iphone were transfered. I noticed that in the app store for the ipad you can switch between different accounts. If I switched to my username would it allow me to add apps that I've already purchased through my iphone or will I have to pay twice?

Yes. My grandson did that to me and I had a heck of a time upgrading the apps he loaded because I didn't have his password. I ended up deleting them.

Actually, Home Sharing should work in your situation, because iTunes for Mac supports Fast User Switching. (You're better off in this regard than us over here on the iTunes for Windows side.)
The basic trick is that iTunes has to be open in both user accounts at once. Set Home Sharing up in your husband's account. Now switch over to your account, launch iTunes and set up home sharing there. You should be able to see his library now. Transferring from his library is now as per the standard instructions for Home Sharing transfers.

Two different condition types in one report

i have a problem with the conditional display of a report.
I want to use two different condition types for one report.
For example I want to show the report only when the page is not in printer friendly mode and when the value of an item is NULL.
Is that possible?
Has anyone a solution for this problem?

Concatenate columns from two different reports

In OBIEE 11g report, I am looking for a method to concatenate columns from two different reports.
My requirement is, if I show 'Units Produced' for customer A, I need to show another column 'Units Produced' for a related customer B.
Every customer has one related customer.
So my report shows all the data for customer A, but I need to add one column which is for custome B , so I am looking a way to concatenate columns or if some other way this can be done

Customer A is dimension table. You mapped to fact to get Customer A details.
Now you want for Customer B. Now create one more alias table for Customer and name it as customer B and join with Fact on Customer B keys and use it.
Each customer has related customer.
2 dimension tables one for customer and other for related customer.

Are you currently in Japan or Hong Kong ? You have to be in a country (and have a billing address in that country on your account) to buy or download from its store, that is included in the store's terms.
You can sync content from different accounts from your computer's iTunes library.
