Reports in Oracle HRMS

hi all
i have created a report in apps 11i in Oracle HRMS
but i am getting the message "The file is damaged and could not be repaired"
could anyone please tell me the reason

hi
template.fmb is for forms rite
my requirement is to create a form letter type of (for experience certificate of employees)report which i did but in erp it is blank
i asked the ppl who developed erp in my office they said my office ppl have not purchased arabic publisher which is why it doesnt appear in erp and they told me to create a stand alone report in reports builder 6i
Is this "arabic publisher" right?
i have one more doubt ,the data which we call in our reports can they be in for eg the employee name etc can they be in arabic or
should these values be stored in arabic language in some table in database?
Kindly guide me in the above two
thanking in advance

and the same time, i am facing one problem that when i am setting the Business group EEO REPORT = EEO-1 then in Job further information i am not able to select EEO function
but when in business group I am taking EEO report= EEO-4 i am able to select values from Job further information for EEO function.
Kindly help me to sort out this problem.
    Thank You
    Basaw

    Hi Basaw,
Currently I have a requirement to work on setting up EEO reports in Oracle HRMS. Actually the set up was previously done by some other consultants which was incomplete. Hence the report is not pulling all employees. This is what our client reported to us.
So if you can share some setup documents on it as you have mentioned that you have already configured it; it would be of great help.
You can email me at [email protected]
    Thanks

  • Oracle HRMS delivered reports

    Hi,
Are there are any standard reports (regarding employee, assignment details etc..) available as seeded in Oracle? The only ones I could see are the EEO reporting.
    Thanks
    Usha.

    Usha,
I am hesitant to specify potential conflicts and impact since I don't know the particular details of your setups and configuration. You can set up numerous organization hierarchies to meet your reporting needs, as outlined in the reading below.
However, the references for the areas of integration you mentioned in your posting are:

    Define Organization Hierarchies (Optional)
An organization can belong to any number of hierarchies, but it can only appear once in any hierarchy.

Designate an organization hierarchy as the primary position control hierarchy. Any versions you create of this hierarchy are also position controlled.

  • Oracle HRMS Reports - Type Discoverer

Metalink id 231369.1 lists seeded available HRMS reports.
How to see/run reports of Type Discoverer? Does discoverer needs to be installed on server and intergrated with eBS to view these reports?
    Thanks,
    Tanveer

you will need discoverer installed to use the HRMS reports. as far as my understanding goes, you may not need a separate license for discoverer so long as it is used for eBiz data only. However, you will need the HR intelligence license to use the HR Intelligence reports.
Standard HRMS also delivers a few standard discoverer reports. However, you may find that they need to customized to your specific needs.
As suggested. Please check with your Oracle Account manager to be certain.

List of custom Discoverer reports?!!! Shows that you do not know anything about Discoverer.
Custom reports are designed as required. You can't get a list of such custom reports. If anyone makes such a list it will be specific to their client/company.

  • Payroll Run request not showing Payroll LOV in Oracle HRMS R12.0.6

    Dear All,
We implemented Oracle HRMS R12.0.6 to one of our client. But we are facing an issue. We create a responsibility for our payroll user and assign modified menu and Glb Shrms Process and Reports request group to it. We set the profile options (HR:Business Group, HR:Security Profile and HR:User Type) on this responsibility. when we are going to run payroll from this responsibility then on Payroll Run request the LOV of Payroll parameter doesn't show values. Kindly, if any one can have idea related this then please update. Its very urgent..
    Thanx In Advance.
    Regards.

i don't recall the details, but you have to add a hidden forms function to your menu, so that the concurrent inherits the settings of the caller, so that the LOV's of your concurrent behave.
Look into the seeded responsibilities, and look for a hidden forms function like multiform or so.
If it is this, then the issue has nothing to do with 12.0.6 , but is linked to the fact you build your custom menu from scratch.

  • ORA-01436 CONNECT by loop in user data Oracle HRMS - How do I prevent this?

I am getting from time to time an error when users are performing tasks in Oracle HRMS that comes back as ORA-01436 CONNECT by loop in user data.
This issue is caused when there exists a loop in the Supervisor hierarchy.
For ex: Emp A reports to Emp B and Emp B reports to A
    OR
Emp A reports to B and B reports to C and C reports to A.
It can be any of the above or if there are more approvers then there can be a
    bigger loop.
This is described on Oracle Metalink Doc ID: 275819.1
This happens to us regularly; someone puts the manager of an employee as the subordinate of the 1st employee - of course this is not logically possible!
My question is how do i prevent this in the HRMS Manager tool or the Self Service functionality - I want the user to be informed and prevented from creating these infinite loops in the first place ...any ideas?

    Hi,
We suffer same the kind of issue but as you might have seen there is no immediate answer from Oracle about implementing a check within the Application forms/SS. In the end we wrote a report to hunt to locate loops in employee supervisor chain and report any circular references it finds. This report is scheduled to run every day and the customer reviews the output and then fixes the loops. Not ideal but we've not had chance to investigate a custom trigger say on the per_all_assignments_f table.

    Hi,
Try the following query and adapt as required for your instance (I've used Vision instance):
    SELECT DISTINCT pose.d_parent_name,
      pose.organization_id_parent,
      pose.d_child_name,
      pose.organization_id_child
    FROM
      per_org_structure_elements_v pose,
      per_org_structure_versions posv,
      per_organization_structures pos
WHERE pos.name                                       = 'Primary Reporting Hierarchy'
    AND posv.version_number                              = 1
    AND pos.business_group_id                            = 202
    AND posv.organization_structure_id                   = pos.organization_structure_id
    AND pose.org_structure_version_id                    = posv.org_structure_version_id
    AND pose.business_group_id                           = pos.business_group_id
    AND posv.business_group_id                           = pose.business_group_id
START WITH pose.d_parent_name                      = 'Vision Operations'
      CONNECT BY NOCYCLE PRIOR pose.organization_id_child = pose.organization_id_parent
    ORDER BY pose.organization_id_parent,  pose.organization_id_child
    HTH,

  • Migration MS ACCESS FORMS and Reports to Oracle (Java or Forms or Reports)

    Hello ,
can someone tell me, how i can migrate a whole MS ACCESS 2000 mdb (with forms and Reports) to Oracle.
I think i have first migrate the Access DB with the OMWB to Oracle and in the next Step to convert the VBA Code to JAVA or Forms9i.
BUT Is there a tool available for Migrating VBA code like the OMWB ????

I don't know if this is an obvious question, but do you have MS Access 2k installed on the machine you are trying to run this from? I'm assuming yes.
If you do and there is still a problem, you should log a ticket for support who will take your mdb and help out with the issue for you.
    Many thanks

  • Doubts about generating reports in Oracle

    Hi,
I am Oracle DBA, but I need some instructions from you – oracle developers- related to how implement reports from Oracle 9i Application Server Enterprise built on Sun Solaris 9.
Nowadays, my client is using Oracle Reports Server that comes with Oracle 9i AS, but he wants to substitute the Oracle Reports Sever to another software (a cheaper one) so he will be able to decrease the Application Server Enterprise to a Standard edition.
The reports here are constructed under Oracle Reports, and these reports are accessed from a web application.
    The flow here is:
The user requires the report in a web page from internet.
The user inputs the parameters in the web page.
So the client machine sends this to the apache server, that constructs the sql statement or calls a procedure stored in the database server.
The return happens in this same way until the user sees its report on the screen in a pdf format.
Now my client wants from me 2 or 3 detailed suggestions to substitute this architecture
that involves so many softwares and servers to a cheaper and simpler one. My target is to remove out the Report Server, and suggest other tools which can do the same.
So, as I am dba, can someone there help me please with any hint????
    Thank you all,
    Bye
PS: My client does not want to remove the Oracle Application Server and neither the Sun Operational System from the present architecture. These two will not change….

    Hello,
I'm also not an application developer, but I thinks it depends all on the complexity of the reports. If these are relatively simple, PL/SQL can do the work.
Concerning Java, I heard Oracle's JDeveloper is the right choice.
Some people say, if you are going to start a new project, don't think of Oracle Developer Suite (Forms/Reports), but use Java and JDeveloper.
You may even have a look on HTML DB

  • How To View a Discoverer Report In Oracle Applications

    Hi All
    I have 1 problem...
    Im using Oracle Discoverer 4i.
I have connected to Oracle Applications through Discoverer Administration and created a Business Area and created a report and able to see the report in Desktop Edition, which i connected to Oracle Applications in Desktop Edition also.
But now my question is how to see that Report in Oracle Applications when i connect to Oracle Applications through explorer and selecting a responsibility
when i connected to Oracle Applications im not getting the report which i have created.
Is it possible to view a report in Oracle Applications using Discoverer 4i..
Please can any 1 help it out ..its very urgent..
    Thanks in Advance..

    Hi,
You need to have an Apps mode EUL so that you logon with an Applications username and password. You then need to grant privileges to your responsibilities and also set security on your Business Areas so that they can be accessed by your responsibilities.
Once that is set up, you can create form functions so that you can add links to Discoverer reports in your Applications menus. Metalink Note 278095.1 explains how to do this.
    Hope that helps,
    Rod West
