Reports in PDF format does not show up on solaris box

Hi,
I am trying to generate a report in pdf format.
This shows up a blank page.
But i could see that the cache file is generated for the report.
This works fine in Win 2000.
I have fixed the IE adobe issue.
IS there anything special i need to do while
generating this output.
Your help will be highly appreciated.

I did all the config as mentioned on adobe site. It seems to me the dataset problem.
I am running 2 reports one for which i have more data and for the other less data.
The one with more data comes up properly on browser. But the one with less data is showing me blank page.

Connect to iTunes and try to reset it from there.

Report in pdf...not showing anything

hii all
i have created report with parameters..... when report is called, its preview opens properly (parameter form is removed, so directly report opens) and shows everything....but when from preview window, File->generate to file->PDF is done.....it does not show anything.......
any idea why this happens....?

yes report is proper even if parameter form is not shown.....but PDF blank....
and if i keep parameter form.. it displays report properly and when i generate PDF it asks for parameter and that time it displays pdf properly....
but i dont want parameter form...thats why i removed it..and so it is not asking for parameter when generating PDF...and i think that why it is not PDF blank....
so any solution to this?

Report S_ALR_87012000 Asset Register does not show correct values sums

Hi,
I've taken a look at S_ALR_87012000 transaction - Asset Register (Italy) after an Assets Data transfer and something strange happens:
1- the sum of column Depreciation for year is not correct. It is a little bit strange because the single assets depreciation for year is correct. The same problem is in report S_ALR_87011990 - Asset history sheet
2- if I put an asset number range or the asset class in the report selection screen the report does not show some of the assets included in the range or in the asset class.
Could you explain me why? Is there some program bug?

If you are executing the reports for previous / future years - execute them as of last day of the fiscal year
The execution for current year can have any date of the fiscal year for report execution

Report in PDF format can not support double byte character ?

I am developing the simplified chinese application , when i generate the report in PDF format , i found all double byte character did not display correctly . i am using dev6i+patch5 , why ?
it is a bug of form or not ???????

try this ,Install acrobat4.0 or above and make sure you got acrobat distiller which will add a acrobat distiller printer in you windows. print report direct to that printer (don't change desformat) and you should got your PDF file with correct font setting.

Concatenated PDF file does not show all content.

When I concatenate 2 single page pdf file into one pdf file, the concatenated page does not show all the content. It misses the last line on the 2nd page.
However the thumbnails view shows the missing line correctly.
Also, if I view the concatenated pdf into another pdf view, it shows the content correctly.

Upon further research in the merged pdf file, it appears the merged pdf file has 2 references to the same field "UFE_ISSUE_DATE".
If I edit the pdf file in the text editor and change one of the field name to "UFE_ISSUE_DATE_TEST", then the pdf gets rendered correctly with date value shown correctly!
So, we decided to use 2 different field names in each of the individual pdf for this field only.
But, what causes confusion is that we do have several other fields with same field name in each of the individual pdf file, but upon merge they appear correctly. Searching for such field name in the merged pdf file via text editor, I can see only 1 reference. Not sure, why this particular field "UFE_ISSUE_DATE" has 2 references in the merged pdf file.
Any one has any thoughts?

Scheduling the report from Infoview portal does not show up data

"The crystal report is based on a SAP BI query. The parameters of the report are basically the parameters(SAP variables) of the SAP BI query. When we run the crystal report in the CR Report Designer tool, it runs fine showing all the data correctly. Then we published the crystal report to the Crystal Enterprise Server from the SAP BI system. Through the Infoview portal, the user clicks on the 'Schedule' link for the report and sets the parameters. When the 'Schedule' button is clicked, it runs successfully but no data is seen in the report except for the template. But under the same report, in Infoview portal, if the user selects "View" link, sets the parameters and then clicks the 'Execute' button, it runs successfully showing all correct data.
Dont understand why it works for 'View' link but doesn't work for 'Schedule' link. Is there any setting that needs to be made for this?"

Hi Sri,
When we are able to see the report and unable to schedule the report with in the Info view, then check with the user rights.
Just try to login with admin account and try to schedule the report.
Also check the report in CMC and see the preview of the report.
If the user doesn't have enough rights to schedule the report, then it doesn't allow it.
Also check with in the Folder rights with in the report is saved.

Report 10g RTF format does not open on Windows XP SP2 IE 6

When the desformat is PDF, the report runs fine and launches out to a new window with the document displayed. However, when the format is changed to RTF, the report is not displayed and it appears to be blocked by a popup blocker. I do not have any third party popup blocker installed (Google Toolbar, Yahoo Toolbar, etc.). The built-in IE 6 popup blocker is turned off. I even went through a Microsoft article, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/843016, to insure the blocker is turned off in each security zone. Yet the report going to RTF still appears to be blocked and the report going to PDF works fine. That makes me think it may not be a popup blocker.
I have verified RTF files open fine through windows explorer, they open fine from a html page with a link to a RTF, they also open fine if I use javascript to auto-redirect a page to an RTF file.
The report is generated to cache and then opened with a web.show_document if that matters.
Forms/Reports Version: 10.1.2.0.2
JInitiator Version: 1.3.1.22
Does anyone have any other ideas please?

Discoverer Report opened from Portal does not show correct data

Hi,
When I try to open a Discoverer report from a portal that I created, it shows stale data but when I click on "Analyze", it shows all the data correctly.
Does anyone know what the reason could be for this?

I assume you used the Discoverer Portlet Provider. A discoverer portlet is never live data. When you define the portlet you specify how often to 'refresh' the data. If you skipped this step, then you just get the data as-of when you created the portlet.
Generally you specify the refresh time to be sometime after your usual database load completes.

PDF attachment does not show in Mail

When I receive a mail with PDF attachment, I can't see any icon or inline text. Can anyone advice?

All of my mail accounts either show the icon or the file itself in the Mail App. Try these simple things first.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button at the top of the iPad until the red slider appears, then slide to the right to power off the iPad. Turn the iPad on again by pressing the sleep button until the Apple logo appears. Once the iPad has fully rebooted, open Mail to relaunch.
Try a hard reset by pressing and holding down on the sleep button at the top of the iPad while holding down on the home button at the bottom, until the Apple logo appears and the iPad restarts. Launch Mail again and see what happens.

my guess is their is either something wrong with the PDF creator or the font in question is corrupted on the hard disk.

When Syncing my ipad, it does not show the business PO Box field from outlook which is the first line of the address

Hi, I was wondering if someone out there could help me.
I am trying to syncronise my outlook address book with my Ipad.
The actual sync does work but it is missing the field Business Address PO Box, and this is where the first part of the address is stored, so when I try to look up an address on my ipad part of it is missing.
However if I send the contact by email to my ipad as a internet format vCard it will import the whole address. However as I have 400+ contacts I really don't want to have to do it manually.

terminology is the issue here.
Whilst AOL have refered to these additional email accounts as identities basically forever, they are not identities, they are email accounts. So simply add it to Thunderbird as an existing email account (File menu ) New> existing mail account

one that worked was disconnect my external drives to see which one caused the problem and that worked but '

or do i just continue using and ignore the update request?

also do i have to go to another question about the external drive causing me problems with
the Lion 10.7.2 showing that I need an update, when the external drive is connected?
what can I do about that,anyone know here? or do I call up for support I have another year of Applecare
for my Macmini extended warranty.?
