Hi,
try inventory Audit report in SAP B1 Inventory Module. You will get some idea.
inventory -> inventory reports --> inventory audit report

MB5B gives total receipts - if i click on the receipts i can view the multiple material documents - BUT is there any way to drill down the reciepts or view the breakup of the receipts on the same screen OR is there any other report for this.

Z report for opening qty of material date wise

I have to develop a zreport which will calculate date wise opening stock of material and closing stock of that material at particular
location ( not to use standard reports)
I have to display sale qty and stock transfer qty date wise.
Similarly receipt qty date wise.
For sale qty, stock transfer qty and receipt calculation are date wise ok. But problem is to get date wise opening and closing stock of particular material.
is it possible to get location wise material wise date wise opening stock list in z report.

Hope you are an ABAPer. If not also, you can achieve this through an ABAPer. As mentioned by others, you need to check whether your requirement is met by the standard transaction MB5B. You need to check whether this transaction gives you the exact opening and closing balance for a material. If this gives what you want, then you need to make some small enhancement in the MB5B report program so that you will be getting the result of the opening and closing stock. In this enhancement you will use EXPORT to export the result to your program where you can IMPORT it. This procedure is explained in detail in a document created in SCN dated 30th November, 2012 by Sijin Siji. Have a look in that.
That document is descriptive and it will be helping you in solving this issue. If you have any doubts, please revert back.

Consignment opening and closing Stock Period wise details

My requirement to get the opening and closing stock of particular customer with particular
material period wise. If there is no transaction for a period for particular customer
and particular material , ( which table store the entry without transaction for that particular customer
and particular material ) then how to get the openning and closing of that customer
for that particular material. I have checked MSKU and MSKUH tables for this, but this is not fulfillg my requirement

I need to develop a report based on consignment stock.....
MSKU AND MSKUH TABLES STORE THE ENTRY OF CUSTOMER AND MATERIAL WITH PERIOD WISE. I want opening and closing stock of customer with particular material for particular period.The
problem is if there is no activity of a particular material with that particular customer for particular period then how to get value . I have to get the value based on selling price thats why not using MB51.....

COPA reporting with open and closed projects

Dear All,
I am designing a COPA solution for an infrastructure providing company using project systems and posting to/settling out of projects on a monthly basis. Projects run for long periods and continually incurr costs and earn revenue untill they are closed. The requirement is to report by common characteristics (say customer group) and separately for open and closed projects. My issue is how to separate the line items of projects where status changed to closed (having posted with the status REL previously), from the open ones, without entering the projects individually in the selections screen.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

An item of a purchase requisition is only regarded as Closed if the requested order quantity has been included in a purchase order.
You can also set an item to Closed manually. <b>This item will then not be taken into account by the materials planning and control system.</b>
You can set the Closed indicator manually at the following points (it can later be cancelled if necessary):
When changing a purchase requisition, on the item detail screen
When creating a purchase order referencing a requisition, on the item detail screen of the PO
You can still create purchase orders by referencing a requisition if this indicator has been set in the requisition concerned.
The indicator can also be set in the case of automatic PO generation from purchase requisitions. On the initial screen of the requisition, you can specify that the requisition is to count as closed as soon as an associated purchase order has been generated, even if the complete quantity requested has not been ordered, for example (Set reqs. to "closed" indicator).

in my case matarial is split valuated matarial, matarial is maintained with two valuation classes
when seeing the report MB5B its not showing the price valuation class vise, its showing combined together only, again i am using the MC.9 there also same problem its not showing both the valuation class vise price its showing only one valuation class price, if we check for another valuation class price for that particular matarial its telling no data is availabel for the valuation class

Opening and Closing balance of a material

How to check the opening and closing balance of a material in a given period?
GL account /Plant/material number is known
Can we see along with the PO/reservations made in this period?
Is there any report or Tcode?

In mbew and mbewh table u will get the value and stock of material at plant level for each period( if plant is valuation level ) . GL account u will get from valuation class attched to material master.
Else use fi tcodefbl3n .
if u want closing balance for period 6 then you goto fbl3n and run the report for the GL ACC of stock till period 5. In that go to menu and in that special fields add bseg-matnr and bseg-plant and then sort the report on material/plant level. this will opening balance for period 6.
then run same report till period 6 and this will give closing balance for period 6.
this two report give opening and closing balace for period 6.

MB5B Report table for Open and Closing stock on date wise

Hi Frds,
I am trying get values of Open and Closing stock on date wise form the Table MARD and MBEW -Material Valuation but it does not match with MB5B reports,
Could anyone suggest correct table to fetch the values Open and Closing stock on date wise for MB5B reports.

Do I have the option of selecting Storage Location wise opening and closing stock on a particular date or period, that is what I have requested? Is it possible, evenafter selecting storageloc/batch stock and entering all the SLOCs in the selection creen, the report output does not contain any SLOC, and using ctrl+F8 or display variant does not have SLOC as a field also.

Yes umesh from external 99% of your stock from mvt 101, 501 is very rare case & 561 is not from external source it is initial stock updation which will be done only once when you are going live & later 561 mvt will be normally blocked for use.
You can also sort in MB5B more than one movement type click on multiple selection (that is on yellow arrow icon) & in single value tab enter mvt 101 below that 501.
This will give you report for mvt types 101 & 501 in this way you can also sort reports for more than one mvt type.

Calculating opening and closing stocks at a plant (on specific dates)

Hi,
I am to develop an ABAP-report. On the selection screen, I'll have plant, material, and a date range (date_1 and date_2). The report should show opening stock on date_1, closing stock on date_2, and then there is more segregation based on movement types (along with both stock-quantity and stock-value). I am stuck at how-to's around calculating opening (and closing) stock on a particular date.
Secondly, transaction MB5B has 3 options : batch stock, valuated stock, special stock ... One of these options uses table MBEW and other uses table MARD ... Which (all) tables will I need to use so as to get both stock-quantities and stock-values ?
