Reports to Powerpoint

I am trying to dump reports to powerpoint but in only dumps one word per slide using Desformat=rtf and mimetype application/ppt
HELP
Thank you

Hello Jose,
If you need to get your report data into Powerpoint as a table of data, you could try generating your report output to Excel, and then either embedding or linking in the Excel file into your Powerpoint slide using OLE.
There are different ways to generate your report output to Excel, namely:
1. Using DESFORMAT=DELIMITEDDATA to generate to a text file which can be imported into Excel.
2. Using Web Reporting to generate the report's web layout directly to Excel, as detailed in the 'Output to Excel' demo on OTN at http://otn.oracle.com/products/reports/htdocs/getstart/demonstrations/index.html.
Thanks,
The Oracle Reports Team.

Yes, Power View in Excel  doesn't support export to Power Point. Only Power view in SharePoint mode supports export to Power Point. You can refer the link

  • Importing Financial Report to PowerPoint stalls second attempt

    Hello All,
I have an issue that occurs when I import a financial report into PowerPoint using SmartView. The first report I import works fine. Then, when I go to import a second report, the import screen freezes up PowerPoint. In order to import multiple reports I have to save the current PowerPoint, exit PowerPoint, exit Juniper (b/c we use VPN), then go back into Juniper, then back into PowerPoint and back into the SmartView connection.
Has this happened to anyone else? Any thoughts on this matter?
    Thank you,

  • Formatting Numbers with BPC NW 10.0 SP19 1 in Microsoft Word & PowerPoint 2010

    Dear BPC Experts,
We are trying to use the BPC Add-in for Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; however, we cannot figure out how to get the numbers in a report properly formatted.
I created a report directly in Word:
Then, on the EPM Ribbon I attempted to go to Options>Document Options and use the Formatting tab Number Format field and received the popup:
    Error details:
I Copied a report from the Excel Add-in Report Actions>Copy Report to PowerPoint Report Actions>Paste Report but the number formatting is lost and I get the same error as with Word if I attempt to use Options>Presentation Options.
Any assistance with number formatting with the Word or PowerPoint Add-ins would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Lisa

    Hello Lisa,
Its simply saying that the both formats are different so its unable to apply the formatting.
in order to apply formatting in Word we have a special tab Design.
first create a report and then next go to design tab and choose any one of the default formatting table.
the formatting should be vary dynamically. please see the below images as reference.
Before formatting report looks like this
After Formatting by using design tab
    Dynamic expansion
I feel its little bit difficult when compared to excel...

  • Sharing a iMovie with a PC /Powerpoint.

Hi, I made a mini iMOvie for my local church to use this Sunday. It is only one mintue long. So I emailed it to him and also burn it to CD. He says he can't open it on his PC. I can't open ift on my PC laptop either. But works great on my MAC. He would like to use it in a POWERPOINT thing on Sunday. I saved it to QT. I guess that isn't correct. Please, PLease. Please help ASAP...
    Thanks...
    Sue

...It is only one mintue long. So I emailed it to him and also burn it to CD...
a minute of an iM project is ~220MB - is this the the actual file size of your Mail?
if it is smaller, you have set some other option for compressing the movie, which the PC doesn't understand...
    a) you need "Quicktime for Windows" installed, to make .mov readable for PCs
    b) you posted in the iM6 section, but wrote 10.3.9 as your system - so, just wild speculation: do you use QT6 or QT7...? the later offers a codec (h264) which creates very small files, but is very little supported by PCs.. AND you need, again, QT7 on the PC... with QT6 you don't see anything...
    c) how did you create the CD (you didn't wrote DVD...)? please exact workflow, you could have incidently create some kind of data cd which will only work on your Mac...
    d) I saved it to QT ...hm, the beginner can confuse some things... in the export/share options, you can choose of many options.. QT is just a socalled container, containing many "formats" (=compressors); don't get hasty, tell us, what exactly you have choosen in the dialog...
    e) we do read reports here, Powerpoints prefers .avi - im allows you to export like that: choose in the Quicktime/expert options (don't get afraid - we make you an expert!) avi in the dialog "export as", have a look, do the following steps:
    share…
    Quicktime…
    expert settings
    export
    export as …
    avi
<looking on watch, local time Sat 6:30 ...>
easy! we get that done till sunday

  • How SSRS report export to Power Point (PPT)

    Hi,
Is there any functionality within SSRS 2008R2 which allows exporting a report to Power Point (PPT) ? We are using SSRS reporting service(SqlServer2008R2). Please suggest, how can we export report in Power Point presentation (PPT).
Below are the details about Server
    Sql Server:-SQLSERVER2008R2
    .Net:-C#, VS2012
    Thanks & Regards
    Gajendra Paliwal

    Hi Gajju,
According to your description, you want to know if there is any functionality within SSRS 2008R2 which allows you to export a report to Power Point. I am afraid there is no such a functionality to achieve it. This is a known issue which you can see in the
    link below.
    http://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/310639/add-rendering-of-powerpoint-to-reporting-services-export-format
If you can use SSRS 2012 SharePoint Integrated Mode, we can create a Powerview report, and export this report to PowerPoint.

  • Hyperion in powerpoint

I'm working on a project for my internship, and need to figure out how to manipulate Hyperion reports within Powerpoint using Smart View. I figured out how to run a report within Powerpoint and how to refresh and update the point of view. My boss now wants to know if it is possible to have multiple reports in one powerpoint update with one click (he would like one presentation where all of the reports automatically update for the current month). I'm thinking this would involve having one point of view set for the entire presentation, but I haven't found any information on this. If anyone has any tips for running reports in PowerPoint, that would be greatly appreciated. I'm surprised by the lack of support on this topic in Hyperion user-guides.
Please let me know if anything needs clarified--I'm new to Hyperion and Smartview, so I don't know much of the terminology.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
For this you will need to create a PowerPoint Template document in PowerPoint.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/sv_user/frameset.htm?ch13s07s04.html
Then you can just refresh the template, and all the SmartView elements in that template powerpoint will refresh. http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/sv_user/ch13s07s05.html

  • How to disable Interact option in the exported PowerView report?

    Hi
When I export a PowerView report (from SharePoint) as PowerPoint, it gives option to 'Interact'. However the customer does not want to have interaction in the PowerPoint. They just want to save the slides as images. How do we disable this 'Interact' option
in the PowerPoint file which is exported from the PowerView report?
It also prompt for user credentials while opening the report in PowerPoint. How to avoid this and view the slides just as images?

    Hi.
    Condition
    Trigger Event: WHEN-NEW-ITEM-INSTANCE
    Trigger Object: RGW_FOLDER.M_PAYMENT_METHOD_DSP
    Actions
    Type: Property
    Object Type: Block
    Target Object: RGW_FOLDER
    Property Name: DELETE_ALLOWED
    Value: FALSE
Note: The button will remain visible and if the user presses it, the system will ask if he/she want to delete the receipt. However, if the OK button is pressed the receipt will not be deleted and a message will be shown ("You cannot cannot delete this record")
    Hope this helps.

  • User Currency On Reports

Analytics does a great job of converting the data being reported to the users currency preference, however we are finding that people print or put screen prints of reports into PowerPoint pages, when this occurs it because unclear what currency the revenue fields are represented in. Is there a way to capture in analytics what the users currency preference is set to so that it can be included in a report header or footer ?

    Dan,
I will email you a screenshot.
    Mike L
For others: Format the column in the table so it hs white text on a white background with no border. Do this for the heading and value.
Add the column to a pivot table that only displays section info. Column goes in section area obviously. Now format the heading and values on the column to re-color the text.
Result is a column that appears in a Pivot table but not in a regular table. Column needs to be in the last position so it does not create a gap in your table.

  • Export to powerpoint - maybe webutil?

I need the ability to export some charts and reports to PowerPoint. Does anyone have any tips on accomplishing this?
I have seen several postings about a product called webUtil. Can this be used in the portal? How do I get it?
    Thanks,
    Don

Don, webutil is only for use with Oracle Forms, not with Oracle Portal.
WebUtil is a utility which provides much of the client side functionality taken for granted with a client/server application by providing a set of pre-written Java Beans and an API to perform client side functions such as Host, OLE integration and Text_IO running on the client browser machine.
    Please see: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/htdocs/webutil/WebUtilFAQ.htm

  • Powerpoint renders slides slightly differently on different Macs

I have again this weird problem with Powerpoint.
Sometimes, slides look differently on different machines.
The difference is not very large, but definitely noticeable, in particular, if there are other objects on the slide besides the text.
    For an example please see
    1. (MacBookPro)
    PDF: http://zach.in.tu-clausthal.de/tmp/pptonmacbook.pdf
    PNG: http://zach.in.tu-clausthal.de/tmp/pptonmacbook.png
    2. (Modbook)
    PDF: http://zach.in.tu-clausthal.de/tmp/pptonmodbook.pdf
    PNG: http://zach.in.tu-clausthal.de/tmp/pptonmodbook.png
The effect is most pronounced on the first line of bullet 2. (The "R^d" thing is an image.)
I created the PDFs using the print command in Powerpoint and then saving to PDF.
I created the PNG taking a screenshot.
As you can see, there are two problems:
    1.
When I print the slide on the MacBook to PDF, the layout of the text is slightly different than on screen.
    2.
The layout of the text looks different on both machines.
Both machines run Mac OS 10.6.2 (Snow Leopard).
The powerpoint versions on both machines are identical and up-to-date (12.2.3).
The powerpoint files on both machines are identical (just copied).
I use an in-house font on the slides, which is StoneSansITC; I copied the font files from one machine to the other; they all reside in ~/Library/Fonts, and this is the only place where these font files are located.
I have checked with 'pdffonts' and it seems to me that the Stone fonts are indeed correctly embedded in the PDFs. Here is the output of pdffonts:
    % pdffonts pptonmodbook.pdf
name type emb sub uni object ID
    NNCXIS+Symbol TrueType yes yes yes 24 0
    TYRNZE+Helvetica TrueType yes yes yes 21 0
    RTAEGG+MSBM10 Type 1 yes yes no 26 0
    ZXGVHI+StoneSansITCStd-Medium Type 1C yes yes no 8 0
    ZXGVHI+StoneSansITCStd-Medium Type 1C yes yes yes 17 0
    RTAEGG+CMSSI8 Type 1 yes yes no 27 0
    ZJTMTS+StoneSansITCStd-MediumItalic Type 1C yes yes no 22 0
    JHAIES+Wingdings TrueType yes yes yes 19 0
With pptonmacbook.pdf, pdffonts yields very similar output.
In Powerpoint, I have checked File -> Properties -> Contents, and the list under "Fonts Used" shows the StoneSansITC fonts alright.
The compatibility report in Powerpoint does not report any issues with fonts (only a few warnings about animations, movies, and "some shapes cannot be changed in earlier versions ..").
Does anyone have an idea how I could resolve this differences in rendering?
All hints, suggestions, and insights will be highly appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Gabriel.

I had confirmed this with the Smart View development team
