Reports unavailable?
Trying to retrieve our iTunes U reports today from Public Site Manager, we're getting the following message:
Error
Unable to retrieve report details.
Any idea what's going on, and when this might be fixed? It's the time of the month when we need to update our stats.
This appears to have been resolved.

Available.log reports "Unavailable"
We recently upgraded from BW3.5 to BI7.0. The available.log file reports the ABAP system as "Unavailable" even though it is truly available. The timestamp changes every minute, as expected. Interestingly, our PROD CI is the only system that reports "Available"...the PROD App Servers, DEV, and QA systems all report "Unavailable".
Does anyone know what process is writing to this "available.log"?

Postqueue: fatal: Queue report unavailable - mail system is down
I'm not sure what I did but for some reason my mail system is down. I do PHP development on my mac and have changed nothing.. all of a sudden my app stopped sending mail. So I went to check the mail queue using "mailq" and I get: *postqueue: fatal: Queue report unavailable - mail system is down* I know that the mail is working because it works on other developers machines on the project. Anyone have any idea what happened?

Flash video reports unavailable in some browsers
Hi,
I was trying out some browsers like uzbl, surf, dwb etc. but found some sites with flash where the video reported "Sorry, this episode is temporarily unavailable". When viewed with Firefox or Chromium it works fine. Here's an example:

ThanksI think sometimes this is a result of the website not supporting your browser - at least in some cases. If it occurs on every website that uses flash, then your browser is looking for the plugin in the wrong directory or else you need to install nspluginwrapper (and perhaps configure it to look in your flashplayer directory for libflashplayer.so).

I am actually in the process of identifying the CRM Lead Analysis Reports in BW. I have identified most of the queries, but Win/Lost Leads reports is not seen in the business content. When i checked in the sap help site the reports is very much mentioned with technical name as 0MKTG_C01_Q7001. But when i check in the business content i can find a query for Lost Leads and another report for Won Leads but the Win/Lost leads is not available.
Is there any note which i need to update or anything which i am missing. Please guide to locate the Query for Win/Lost Leads in BW CRM Analytics.

Report unavailable 4 multiProvider with 2 Plan allowed real-time icube?

It seems that the multiprovide with 2 plan allowed real-time infocube can not generates report correctly. Is that right? Or I'm missing defining some configurations? Any sugguestions are appreciated.

Agent status - Unavailable (DPM 2010)
We seem to be experiencing problems with our DPM agents. Everything was working fine until we came in this morning to find that all of our DPM 2010 Agents were reporting 'Unavailable'
'Protection agent version: 3.0.7706.0

The protection agent operation failed because DPM could not communicate with the Protection Agent service.

We've tried all of the suggested steps to fix the problem without any success. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Event ID: 18213 in the System event logs of the protected servers?
If so, it could be the DCOM permissions in the registry have become corrupted. Permissions for DCOM applications are stored in the registry. The steps below rewrite the permissions in the registry thus correcting the corruption:
1.
On the protected server that is generating the 18213 event run dcomcnfg.exe.
2.
Navigate to Component Services -> Computers -> My Computer -> DCOM Config ->
DPM RA Service.
3.
Right-click on DPM RA Service and select Properties.
4.
On the Properties dialog go to the Security Tab. Edit the Launch and Activation Permissions.
5.
Simply Add “Everyone” and grant some permission to them ( e.g. Local Launch). Click OK then OK.
6.
Go back in and remove the permission just added.
7.
Exit dcomcnfg.exe -

Send a mail message at startup?
Is there a way to send a mail message when startup (or ANY user login) occurs? I'm thinking as a traceable security measure for a PowerBook.

Yes, now everything is under the control of launchd, and the mail system went down when it was unneeded. Enter
sudo launchctl start org.postfix.master
and then mailq, and see if there's anything in the mail queue.

I'm sorry, that's me lapsing into geekspeak. In shell scripting, we sometimes shorten "concatenate" into "cat". What it means is that the symbol "<<" (or ">>" the other way) is used to redirect input into a program. I used the symbol "!" as a delimiter for the input, but you can use any symbol. Just pick something you're not likely to include in the text. So the line
mail -I -s "Test Message" [email protected] <<!
simply means "take everything that follows up to the next "!" as input for the mail program. You won't find that in the mail man page because it's a shell scripting technique.

Unable to download printer drivers. Now what do I do?
Due to a recent incident (my own stupidity) I had to reinstall my OS on a couple of computers. One is an older MacBook running Lion (10.7.5), the other is a newer iMac running Mavericks (10.9.4).
On the older Lion unit, the printer settings indicate that drivers ARE available for my printers (an HP OfficeJet 8500 a909N and an HP OfficeJet 8500 a910N). But when I attempt to download them, I get back a message that the drivers AREN'T available.
In the case of the newer, Mavericks unit, I was able to install the drivers for the a910N but the drivers for the a909N are reportedly unavailable. And of course, HP is no help as they don't make drivers available on their website.
So, what do I do (other than purchase a new printer?)If the drivers aren't downloaded automatically for your printer, then download the most recent package of drivers for your printer make from Apple - support.apple.com/downloads. Or go to the maker's website, locate their driver download pages for a current driver.

800706BA RPC server unavailable in Report Generation toolkit
Hi all,
I've got a problem with LabVIEW 7.1.1 and Report Generation Toolkit (RGTK).RGTK is used to connect to MS-Word, create a new document from template and report test results. Works like a charme when stying local on the respective test machine.
LabVIEWs 'Automation Open' node as wella as other parts of the RGTK have an control 'machine name' so I suspected I could bring a report server into game. Tried it and get an error "0x800706BA - The RPC server is unavailable in myTestVI" (translated from German Windows error).
All the required subVIs to create a document have been put into a small test app. This one runs fine when running on the desired report server, but fail when opened and run on the devellopment machine.
I have searched extensively for that error code and have changed some port settings in the firewalls and some services settings with no success. Can anyone help me out?
BTW, on the remote machine a new process named WINWORD is started, but nothing more.

Report obsolete returns diff results when backups are UNAVAIL vs AVAIL
Hello from Nova Scotia, Canada:
I'm wondering if someone out there who lives and breaths rman (10gR2) for a living can shed some light...
We are finding that report obsolete (as well as delete obsolete) are returning different results depending on if our backups
are AVAILABLE or UNAVAILABLE.
In our shop, our backups are changed to UNAVAILABLE because they get moved to a different location later, but delete
obsolete doesn't seem to work as expected unless the backups are AVAILABLE.
I am pasting some output below to demonstrate my point. Basically, in the output you are about to see, I'm showing you
my retention policy and I'm listing the backups that I have (and you can see their status is "A" for available). Then I do a
'report obsolete' command to show you what is considered obsolete (3 files are - which is what I expected). Then I change
all my backups to unavailable. Then I list all my backups again and show you that their status has changed to "U" for unavailable.
Then I do 'report obsolete' again and as you can see, I get different results! Can someone explain this to me?? I have RTFManuals
and no where does it say that availability is a factor that can impact determining what is obsolete. You also see in the output
below what version we're using (10.2.0.4.0) and that we are using a recovery catalog.
If someone would like to see additional information, feel free to ask, I'm more than happy to help you help me.
I should also mention this is a 2 node rac on linux.

Problem still exists. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe crosscheck does
nothing because all my backups are listed as unavailable, so there is nothing for it to do.
Any other thoughts or suggestions?
This problem is driving me bonkers. I have read the Backup and Recovery Basic Guide and Advanced Guide,
googled the web, searched OTN, searched Metalink and I can't find anything on the topic of backup
piece availability affecting obsolescence. Many thanks.

#Unavailable in WEBI Report - Using OLAP Universe
Hi,
I am using BEX query (OALP Universe) to create a WEBI report, when I run the report, it shows #UNAVAILABLE in Key Figures values.
I am not using the database delegation in Key figures properties in Universe, it is default to SUM
and if i create a new report based on this universe it is displaying correct, only if i open the existing report it shows the #unavailable.
and i tested this report in webi rich client, i.e. i imported this report in WEBI rich client and ran it , it was working fine, then again i exported this report into infoview and it is working fine in Infoview, the Key figures are showing values.
I am strange of this issue...
Please let me know if you guys have any idea on this issue

I am not sure if it is the same problem, but I had similar issues with measure objects coming out of the universe that were defined as "database delegated" in the universe object's properties. Basically it then forces you to always refresh when you have changed anything on the report, so that it can recalculate the measure. I am not aware of differences regarding this in Rich Client vs. InfoView, but there could be. I have seen other similar issues between the two before.
Check to see if the measures are database delegated, and change them if you can to sum or count or whatever they should be.

Error in Viewing the report in InfoView and CMC error #UNAVAILABLE

I am using BO XI 3.1 Edge series server with latest fix packs.
My problem is i created a webi report with Administrator account using the webi rich client tool and after creating the report i exported to CMS . when i am trying to view the data in InfoView or CMC i get the error like #UNAVAILABLE for all of my data fields value.
But the same thing works perfectly fine when i use the rich client tool.

SCOM Availability reports gives monitoring unavailable
Hi,
We are facing issues in availability reports. We fetch daily availability reports for windows servers. We had selected unplanned maintenance and monitoring unavailable as the downtime parameters.
Availability report gives about 2-3 hours as monitoring unavailable for all servers although the agents are healthy in SCOM and management servers are also not down. Please suggest what's wrong here.

If the agent is down, and SCOM will send an alert for heartbeat failure. Would you please check out whether those agents have ever been turned off?
And by running below SQL query we can find out all alerts about heartbeat failure.
