Reports Web Cartridge and Web CGI

How Reports Web Cartridge and Web CGI
converts url into pdf and html output.

I'm asking because I want to know that if I use the run_report_object built-in (WEB environment)which replaces run_product
(Client/Server environment), will it be able to display the parameter form as run_product currently does in the Client/Server environment. I am talking about Oracle forms calling Oracle reports.

Did you ever get an answer to your problem. I having trouble with bringing forms over from client server to web, I can't get a parameter form to run. I've been told to use paramform=html in the URL but where is it? Where do I place this statement?

  • Drill Down Reports on Web CGI

I have a drill down report that runs with no problems on reports
runtime. When deployed on the web (we are using the Web CGI
interface) the report runs and is displayed in the browser in
Acrobat as it should. However, the button for the drill down is
not available - it shows on the screen but is not pushable.
Is there any work around for this?
    Thanks

    Hi,
You can use the srw.set_hyperlink to create a link or the item you want to have the drill down report , in the properties in the hyperlink property specify the Link.
    In web button's don't work.
    Hope it helps.

  • Web report without userid and password

    Hi Experts,
I exported a BW web report to excel spreadsheet and sent it through mail to others, When recepients tried to open that exported spreadsheet, It is prompting for userid and password. I dont want this to be happened and it should open without asking userid / passsword? Can any one suggest some clues onthis.

Check to see if they are looking at the data or running the report.  If they are running the report, then they will be prompted for the user id and password.
You can run the report for them and download the data only, then they will not get the prompts, however they will not be able to update the data or drill down.
Alternatively, you can use the Broadcaster to send out the updated reports directly to them.

  • Getting web host name, web-port, oral-report server name and virtual path

    Hi.
I have been using oralce forms 6i on oracle application server 10g. I have three servers installed on remote locations.I just want that when i am hosting an application on a server, the web host name, web port , oracle report server name and the path of directory should be selected in a dynaminc variable at application level at run time. In this manner, I will be able to make a single application for all three servers. Any other solution to this problem is also welcomed. Please help anyone and oblige me.

    Hi Rajesh,
Actually Web AS Host name is <Servername>.<domain name>:<Port no>
Web AS Path for R/3 is </sap/bc/bsp/sapd>

  • Question on WebDB/Web CGI

I have 2 questions on Oracle Report 6i.
We will implement in on Windows NT4.0 or Windows 2000.
Our DB version is 8.1.5.1 on Sun Solaris 2.7.
    First question:
Can I use one web server for Web CGI and attach 5 report server on it?
2 will be production report servers with load balancing, other 2 will be test report servers with load balancing, and the last one report server will be used as development report server.
    Second question:
Can I implement WebDB with Web CGI configuration? All the online manuals of Oracle portal 9i seems like based on OAS.
But our company is not useinf Oracle application server, we are just using Oracle Database 8i and use our own program.

You can have as many report servers as you want on a machine as long as you keep their port number different (1949,1950...) and their names different.
Then when you run a report just make sure to specify the correct name of the report server you want it to run on in your SERVERNAME parameter.
You can configure CGI on webdb listener. Look at the *.cfg file in the listener\cfg directory there is a section that maps CGI directories right after the regular directory mappings.

  • Financial Reporting Web service Out of Memory (11.1.2.2.300)

Financial Reporting web services runs out of memory. The JVM settings are currently set to 2048. The OS is windows 2008 64 bit.
We have made the the following settings but it still does not help. The service would stay up for about 5 to 6 hours and then would go out of memory. We also see that there is a continuous activity in Financial reporting logs even when there are no users using the system.
    - Navigate to the following Windows Registry key on the server hosting the Financial Reporting web application component:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hyperion Solutions\FinancialReporting0\HyS9FRReports
    - Export the above mentioned Windows Registry key for backup purposes,
    - Create a new "String Value" entry with following name and value:
    Name:JVMOptionY
    Value:-XXtlasize:min=4k,preferred=64k
With Y being equal to (current value of JVMOptionCount) + 1
    - Create a new "String Value" entry with following name and value:
    Name:JVMOptionZ
    Value:-XXlargeObjectLimit:4k
With Z being equal to (current value of JVMOptionCount) + 2
    - Increase the value of the JVMOptionCount parameter by 2
    - Restart the Financial Reporting web application component for the changes to be taken into account.

  • 12002 The Reporting Web Service is not working.

    Hi :)
I have WSUS on Windows Server 2012 std. with Internal Database. Today I've installed 7 updates from patch tuesday and after restart I've got
error 12002 The Reporting Web Service is not working
I can see now that updatet clients can not report their status anymore :(
    What's up ? Any suggestion ?
    Best regards
    Nenad

    Hi,
I would start by verifying that the /ReportingWebService resource is properly configured in IIS.
Correct configurations can be found in the WSUS Technical Reference Guide: IIS
Settings for WSUS 3.0 SP2 Web Services.
    Also,Under ReportingWebService
Made sure all were set to disabled except for Anonymous Authentication
    Anonymous Authentication Enabled
    ASP .NET Impersonation Disabled
    Basic Authentication Disabled
    Forms Authentication Disabled
    Windows Authentication Disabled

  • Microsoft Reporting Web Service

I am trying to call the new Microsoft Reporting web service from
weblogic 8.1sp2. I've run the clientgen utility against the microsoft
    reporting server's wsdl.
Using the generated stup classes, I keep getting an error about a
snapshotID parameter, which is not a parameter passed in the stub API.
I've attached the wsdl, java program and the soap xml with the error in
    it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is a little late, I know. but I just spent the day
struggling with this very issue. Hopefully this can help someone
else in the future. Here's my solution...
    on MX:Operation -- result="fillXML()"
    then
    private function fillXML(): void {
    var x:XML = new
    XML(wsProps.GetDatasetData.lastResult.toString());
...do what you need with your xml...
I use an XMLList node of the result as the source property
for an XMLListCollection bound to a datagrid. Let me know if you
need more help to get it working. It works like a charm now that I
figured that out. I don't know if it's a slimy hack, or not, but it
    gets the job done.

As DP_1 Type Query_view_Data_provider, I have assinged a Query Designer Query wich works fine, if I execute it as QDR.

  • Interactive Reporting Web Client on Apple Mac:  Intelligence iServer?

    Hi All,
I just installed EPM release 11.1.1.1 along with Interactive Reporting. We were led to believe that Macintosh was supported as long as FireFox was used as a browser. Everything seems to work fine except when I try to create a new Interactive Reporting Web Client document, I get the error message:
Viewing and analysis with Interactive Reporting Web Client is supported in Windows only.
For other platforms, use the Intelligence iServer option: ihtml servlet icon
Contact your system administrator if this option is not available.
I cannot seem to find much information on this "Intelligence iServer". Does this exist and will it let FireFox clients use Interactive Reporting Web Client? Is it an option that can be installed on the server?
    Thanks for
    any insight.
    Randy

    Hi,
I have some knowledge about this Intelligence iServer, which I would like to share with you.
In Version 8(HPSu 8.5), Hyperion has 5 servers, which we need to install-
    Hyperion Foundation server
    Hyperion SQR server
    Hyperion SQR iserver
    Hyperion Intelligence Server
    Hyperion Intelligence iserver
Each server had its own specific work and foundation server was base of all other servers.
Hyperion Intelligence iserver supports the user to access the BQY in ihtml client. It helps user to perform some feature (like drill down-drill up) in html view.
Later Hyperion Came with System 9 and integrated the entire server into a single bundle (internally I don't know what happened).
This EPM 111.1.1 is Hyperion System 9.5 only.
I would like to advice you to log this case to Oracle support (metalink3) and ask more information about this.
It may be that, EPM 11 doesn't support Web Client in Macintosh environment
    Thanks & Regards,
    Mohit Jain

There is no .NET SDk for CR 2011. It does not install any SDk assemblies.
    No SDk means No runtimes.

  • Hyperion Interactive Reporting Web Client Installation in Linux.

    Hi everybody,
Is there any official documentation of how to install Hyperion Interactive Reporting WEB Client in Linux environments ?
I checked Oracle Documentation and I found information about the HIR Desktop Client. But not about the web client.
Note: I need official documentation because of a discussion with security admins.
    Any Help ?
    Regards,
    Gustavo.

The information required to automate (silent) the Insight/Plugin Installation is as follows:
Before going for the Silent Installation of 11.1.1.3 IR Web Client, we need create a Response File and moved the response file to Installer location to automate the Install.
Please follow the below procedure to accomplish the same:
    1. Record a response file use the command "setup /ieinstall -r" (or "setup /ff install -r" if you use Firefox).
    2. The above command will then create a setup.iss file in the <C:\Windows> directory.
    3. Then move that <C:\Windows\Setup.iss> file to the Insight folder, so to resides with the setup.exe.
    4. Then to launch the silent installation, use the command "setup /ieinstall -s" and it will use the options you choose when creating the response file.
    5. You can create a batch file with the command line script as mentioned in Step 4 and keep in the same folder. So that the end user can use the same to automate the install.

    Hi cat_a,
Please check the “SecureConnectionLevel” property value in the rsreportserver.config file. (By default, the rsreportserver.config file store in the following path:
    <drive:> Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\ MSRS10.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportServer\rsreportserver.config)
When the value is set, the SecureConnectionLevel element in the report server configuration file is changed, and the URLRoot element in the configuration file is set to use "https://" if the specified Level is greater than or equal to 1, or "http://" if
    the specified Level is 0.
For more information, please refer to the article below:
