Repository Object Browser - unable to use Download functions

We want to use the options
- Download Folder Contents in one zipfile
- Recursively Download Folder Structure Contents
in the Repository Object Browser (version 9.0.4.7) of Designer.
Clicking on these options gives the following error:
Not Found
The requested URL /rob/oracle.des.rob.standardServices.Download was not found on this server.
Oracle-HTTP-Server/1.3.28 Server at JSTD-OWCDD01.ad.minjus.nl Port 7777
How can we solve this problem?

If you are trying to use change control within a Designer Repository that does NOT have version control enabled, then you may be better off by creating new application folders for each new release. I do this by judicious use of naming and a hierarchical structure e.g.
Project_Name (Folder) - This is a container to hold all versions of the application
Project namev1.0 (Application System)
Project namev1.1 (Application System)
Project namev1.2 (Application System)
Project namev1.3 (Application System)
I create a new version by exporting and importing the previous version.

I also need to be able to control how JRE is installed, over an intrane and the web, because my application requires ebcidic 277 from the extra libs, I have to be sure the end user installs this, and our customers are still using products from net banks which still use MSJVM, so I have to disable the SUN JVM Plugin.
I have not found a solution to pass parameters to installer from web page object.
The best solution I have come up with so far was to create a simple native installer, which i have put into a .cab file with an .inf file, signed this and placed this on a web page.
The user clicks yes on a single security warning dialog, and then the installer is downloaded and started, this then pulls JRE from web server to PC and executes the installer with a /s plus the parameter settings needed for install a specific installation.

I have installed iDeveloper and iDesigner v9.0.2.80.6. I would like to install the Repository Object Browser, how do I go about installing ROB.

The ROB is installed for you. What you need to do is configure it to use it. Go to your OS Start menu and invoke the Designer program menu. You should find the "ROB Configuration Guide". There are also viewlets on OTN on the ROB.

The Repository Object Browser (ROB) is a tool included with Oracle Designer / Oracle SCM to access Repository content from a browser. This bulletin describes the mechanisms by which you can extend the ROB tool Designer Element Type reports. Examples of these extensions include: change the existing report for a specific Designer element type, creating a new report for a Designer element type, altering the layout or style for a report, or for the suite of ROB Reports.
Go to http://cso.oracle.com, login, and in the iDevelopment Accelerators Supplements region, select Software Configuration Management, and then Technical Bulletin Library. You will find TB.OR.18 at the bottom.

Unable to use XML functions in OWB 10gR2.

Hi,
I am trying to use XMLELEMENT ,XMLATTRIBUTES and XMLFOREST function for loading into a XML file using OWB 10Gr2.
During deployment it is erroring out with an error 'identifier 'XMLELEMENT' must be declared'.
Please suggest some workaround or possible reason for this problem.

On the oracle blogs it was suggested that this can be achived by using XML function in the expression operator.
But while using them,OWB is not recongnising these XML function.

We have a requirement where we want to read the XML data from the CLOB column of a table. In OWB we are using the SYS_XMLGEN function for this. But when I use this in the expression it gives me error that 'SYS_XMLGEN' must be declared.
I am able to use this in the select query and the query is working fine.
Anyone has any idea of how we can use the XML functions in OWB.

Unable to use WriteBack function in OBIEE on a Unix setup

I am trying to implement the writeBack function in OBIEE. We have OBIEE installed on a Unix machine. Below is the xml that I have writte, it keeps erroring stating that the xml file cannot be read.

It's already good to know that the file gets picked up.
What I don't understand: "The log files are not being updated with the error however when I re-save my Answer it is populating the log file to state that the object already existed."?

Unable to use string function in REST query

I am querying for duplication of column name in the web using REST query. My query is as per below:
http://siteCollection/sites/Project1/_api/Web/Fields?$select=InternalName&$filter=toupper(InternalName) eq 'TITLE'.
The reference I got from MSDN site. But whenever I am running the same query in the REST Client I am getting following error:
The function operator 'toupper' is not supported or its usage is invalid.
What am I missing in my query? Or this is not a way for doing the case insensitive query then which way is preferable?

not supported. Below is the list of
supported functions
On the other hand if you use ListData.svc endpoint
you can use toupper to
perform a similar query.

ISight camera indicator light is always on, unable to use camera function

I noticed today when I turned my imac on that my iSight camera indicator light is on and will not go away with reboot. I do not see any other programs running. I attempted to use the camera in iMovie but the screen stays blank. Any ideas?

Unable to use download apps

When I go to the app store and choose any app to download, I get an error message that reads "EMAIL VERIFICATION NEEDED" The message then continues to tell me the following. your Microsoft account needs to be verified. Please check your (email@yahoo for verification email". Sometimes it tells me to check my Hotmail account which I do not have. My yahoo email address has nothing in the inbox or spam folder. Why should it be sooo hard to download apps.

Persistent "Photosmart disconnected!" message. I'm Unable to use AIO functions

I have seen posts with similar problems but not exactly like mine. Please help. Three days ago, I installed a C7280 Photosmart which I bought about a 18months ago. I have connected it wired to my linksys WRT54GS router. I have Windows XP. The installation was fine. The printer was recognised on the netwotk and I was able to initially print from the two desktops connected to the network(wired) after software installation. I can no longer print nor scan. The HP solution center constantly says "Printer disconnected". At one time,yesterday, for about a minute it did show the printer connected and then it disappeared. Right now on the printer it shows that it is connected to the network but i cannot scan from the printer. The PCs also show the printer as ready but I cannot print nor scan. Based on some threads that i read, I have uninstalled and installed the software about 7 times. I have also powered off the router and the PCs and then rebooted as someone else recommended. Still no joy! Would appreciate anyone's help for a perm fix to this annoying problem which clearly HP should know about and should have had an accessible fix to it by now,. I can confirm that I have the full software installed and drivers are up to date. Thanks.

I am sorry to hear about the troubles you are having with the app. We try to make the app as compatible with all devices as possible. The full list of devices the mobile remote is compatible with is https://www22.verizon.com/OnDemand/unprotected/AboutFlexView.aspx . You may find there may be devices that do work with it that re not on the list, but these are all verified working devices with the app. Since yours doesn't appear to be on the list, we can not gaurantee it will work. Download function in SQL Workshop - Object Browser

I am an APEX newbie, trying to download the data from a view into a .csv file. I am doing this in SQL Workshop, in the Object Browser - I click the 'download' link at the bottom of the page and it allows me to dump the data to a .csv file - no problem. My issue is this: it is only downloading the first 500 rows. How can I tell it to download all rows?

Try this...
In object browser,
1. Click Data (next to Table link on top).
2. Then click on Query.
a. If you are selecting all rows, check on the Check All checkbox. If not select the appropriate columns.
b. Then click Query
3. Now you will see the Display option on the top.
4. Select number of rows from drop down.
5. Click Go
6. Now download.

Edit non-functional in Rel. 2 SQL Workshop Object Browser

Using IExplorer 6. Recently upgraded to HTMLDB Rel. 2. Thus far everything I've tried works fine except for the Object Browser code display and editing function.
First problem: the code display for Packages, Functions, Views etc. does not wrap.
Second problem: the edit icon does nothing. Code display is single line with red background (tried creating and then editing a view to make sure it wasn't a privilege problem). I see javascript:toggleCodeArea('e') when I mouse-over the edit button but clicking on it does nothing.
Has anyone else encountered this? Any hints on troubleshooting it?

I knew I should have searched on "Red Screen" 8-)
Unfortunately the AddType solution isn't working for me. The documentation isn't specific about where to add those lines, i.e. I've tried it in marvel.conf both outside and inside the definition, and in the httpd.conf file in the mime types but neither has had an effect (yes, I restart the http server each time). As others have observed, it does work in Firefox.
If you could clarify where in the marvel.conf file the AddType is supposed to go that would be helpful.
I'm having the same problem on two different systems, so whatever I'm doing wrong, I'm consistant about it.

Problem using in download function

Dear Experts,
I am using download function to download values from application server to desktop.
After downloading the output is like the foollowing.
0    temp     30    bar(kg)
But now the user requirement is I have to print it like the following.
0/temp/30/bar(kg)
I have to delete the space and have to give '/' sign.
Please help me to fix this.

Hi,
THis is a simple conversion.
   First Upload file from application server using dataset concept and Store Internal table of Char field like
   Begin of itab occurs 0,
     Data(200) type c,
   End of itab .
   then Split that into some fields space
Loop at itab.
      Split itab-data at ' ' into fields,
      Concatenate fields into itab-data seperated by '/'
      Modify Itab.
endloop.
Then download this.
