Repository Password for BI Administration

Hi,
I've created a repository with RCU for OBIEE , user the two schemas (voms_biplatform & voms_mds) with the install of OBIEE 11g and i have provided a password for the User of OBI which i named SUPERVISOR, now i want to get online access to the BI administration, the give me a box and i have to tape *"the repository password"* , **and the name of a user and a password** , i provided the password i user while i was creating the repository with RCU for the repository password but i'm getting the following error : nQSError 13042 : repository password is incorrect
Plz, do you have any idea where can i find the repository password , and in which step of install it is provided.
if you have any idea on how to escape this problem , plz share :)
Best Regards

I had the same issue. The Admin123 worked for me but the Administrator password would not. Because i setup using OID/SSO my catalog user was set to BISystemUser and not Administrator. I setup OBIEE following chapter 3 in the middleware security guide (3 Configuring Oracle BI to use Oracle Internet Directory).

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Macs don't come with a password. You have to set up the password during the initial setup. If you have forgotten your password, follow these steps to reset your password > http://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4101

  • "You may need to enter the name and password for an administrator"

I am suddenly getting this message when I try to copy a file from my new Macbookpro to my Powerbook running 10.4.9.
"You may need to enter the name and password for an administrator on this computer to change the item named "file i am trying to transfer". stop continue
I hit continue and get the error message: "The item "that I am transferring" contains one or more items you do not have permission to read. Do you want to copy the items you are allowed to read?
I say continue and get the error: "The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient priveleges for some of the items."
My network was working fine until today. I can copy fine to all other computers on my network. But not this one.
If I initiate a transfer from the Powerbook, everything works fine.
    Ideas?

I experience the exact issue between a macbook pro and an iMac.
I can access the files locally on my macbook, copy them on usb-stick, etc.
but ... when I try to copy the files to my iMac ... it fails with the sequence of questions you mentioned.
    However!
I can copy whatever I like from my macbook if I use my wifes account.
    So...
Imho there is a problem when the SAME account is used on both systems.
In my case, I copied my account from the macbook to the (new) iMac.
Mac OS X seems to be confused when the same accounts are used.
    Does this makes sense?
    All help welcome.

  • Help with "You may need to enter the name and password for an administrator

I'm trying to move files from one of my external harddrives to another external harddrive. I keep getting this message "You may need to enter the name and password for an administrator on this computer to change the item named "Documents". I also get this for other folders I want to move, but not all folders on that drive.
I am the administrator, and it only gives me an "ok" button, no option to enter my name and password again.
    Any ideas?

I have the same problem, trying to copy items from external hard disk to another computer on the network. I can copy without problems from external hard disk to my laptop. But not from external hard disk to another computer on the network, and neither from my laptop to another computer on the network, but ONLY if the files I try to copy from my laptop were first copied from that external hard drive. It keeps popping me up with this message. Please help, or fix.

  • I can't remember the password for my administrator account!!

I can't remember the password to the administrator account on my laptop.  I don't have a recovery disk either.  How can I reset my password?  I don't care if I have to do a complete reboot and lose any info.

    Hi,
You should be able to do this without losing any data - try using a password reset utility such as the free application on the link below.

    3.Uncomment (remove #) this part.
    4.Stop the BI Server service

  • "You may need to enter the name and password for an admin" ....

    Hi everyone!
I'm getting this error when trying to copy files over to a network drive. First, it'll pop up and say:
"You may need to enter the name and password for an administrator on this computer to change the item named"
At the same time, it will create an empty file on the target drive. When I click "Continue", it asks me for my username and password, which I happily enter. At that point, it errors out and says "The operation cannot be completed because an item with the name "xyz" already exists".
I've tried repairing permissions, chmod 777'ing a file, etc. It did work for a short time (it seemed to work while I was at work, but once I arrived home, it quit working and hasn't worked since.) I've tried rebooting as well.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm really puzzled over this!
    Thanks!

Actually I get some other errors as well:
"You may need to enter the name and password..."
    Then I click continue...
"The item "filename" contains one or more items you do not have permission to read. Do you want to copy the items you are allowed to read?"
    I click continue...
"The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items."
I am copying a text file made from textedit. I have logged into the shared drive on my iMac. I get the same errors coying to my own user folder. Same account on both machines.
But it does copy a blank version of the file to the drive and adds the .txt extension to it. Then I can delete it from the share.

  • Changing passwords for meetingplace 6

I have meetingplace 6 with integrated video I need to change the passwords. I am having trouble trying to figure out how to change the password on the video admin server http:\\localhost:8080\va or va-config and admin. . Essentially I need to change all passwords on the systems I'm not exactly sure on the dependencies or how to change them either has anyone done this before.
    Video Admin Website /va and /va-config  /admin

    Hello,
To change the password for Video Administration for MeetingPlace, browse to the URL, http://video_admin_server:8080/, using Internet Explorer, login as an administrator (default is "admin"), then under "Admin" on the top left, click on "User Management". Then click on the user you wish you reset the password for, then click the "Modify Password" button.
If you do not see the "User Management" option, remote into the Video Administration server and go to Start, Program Files, Cisco Video Admin, Launch Video Admin Configuration Tool. When the window opens, click on the UI Settings tab, and check "Display User Management". Then click Save. Browse to the URL, login again and you should see the option now.
Note, this will break video integration with MeetingPlace until you perform the following:
Very importantly when you change the password of the Video Administration admin user account you will need to change this same password in the MeetingPlace Video Integration. Remote into all the MeetingPlace Web servers where MeetingPlace Video Integration is installed (different server from Video Administration). Then double click on the orange door icon in the task bar on the bottom right. Click on the "Video" tab. Here you should see "Video Administration User Account" and "Video Administration User Password". If you changed the password of this user in Video Administration, retype that same password in to the configuration here. Click OK. Then you will need to restart all the MeetingPlace Web services. Go to Services and then restart the "Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing service. This will automatically stop and start all Web services including the Cisco MeetingPlace Video Service.

    Andrew

  • My password for login is different from the admin password

I can use one password for doing administrator things, such as installing apps that require passwords and such, but I cannot login to my user account with that password. How do I change this? The only way I am able to access the computer is by automatic login.

I've already tried to change the password there; the login password remains the same.
