My last one of this post got closed like to clarify that this is not illegal this is what the game devs world calls a debug box it is a software modified xbox for debugging and testing so i am nto rbeakignt he law by this i have had promition of microsoft to be alowedto used the microsoft sdk alogn with my softmodded xbox for the purpose of homebrew games design and debuggin as a non profit Organisation/Student Yes it is also what i studdy at university whitch is games development obviously so please can some one no help me with the problem at hand thank you (this is mainly for bas to not since he closed my last topic) i just wanted to clarify what i am doing is not illegal
I have a slight problem as with one of my hdds whitch i use for my xbox one needs to be set to user on the ide detection so that i can unlock the eeprom the reason i do the tranfers with my xbox hdd is because i design home brew games for it i need to be able to find a way to set the hdd detection to used on primery master ide is there anywork around modified bios's to do this with??

I don't understand what you mean by User in IDE detection. User is granted by the Administrator. IDE detection is done first in BIOS, and then Windows normally takes over.

What is the easiest way to get back the plists that I trashed when following advice on how to fix :Your network settings have been changed.

Drag them out of the trash and put them back to the place from which you dragged them to the trash. If you emptied the the trash they are basically gone (unless you want to go to the excessive step of file recovery with $100 software and a spare empty drive). Download settings cant be changed.

I have an issue with the settings in the dialogue that pops up when starting a download (open file with... or save file etc).
The settings wont save. For example, I download a file I always want to open with a certain application. So I select open file with application and tick the always do this for this file type box.
Next time I download the same type again I get the box again. Although it shouldn't appear at all. Other file types are stuck in the open with.. option where as last time I selected save under...
So far I've tried to deleted my mime-types.rdf and checked if my prefs.js isnt't lock, it is open. I really dont want to have to completely reset firefox to get this fixed.

Deleting mimeTypes.rdf was a good thing to try. That helps when Firefox has inconsistent, conflicting, or corrupted entries which you can't clean up through the Options dialog. But there are some situations where it doesn't help, and a Reset won't help.
There are some cases in which a server sends a generic binary file type as the content-type (application/octet-stream). In this case, Firefox disregards your stated preference for the program to use because in many cases, this same content-type is used for executables such as program installers.
This is not a new issue, and the workarounds aren't always pretty. Here's a thread from last year with an extended discussion: [https://support.mozilla.org/questions/971694 'do this automatically for files like this from now on' box greyed out]. Anything there useful?

The problem relates to settings that have changed

While in Yahoo e-mail I used the ctl key and the scroll wheel to enlarge the font for readability. Now when I bring up Yahoo e-mail the pages are all large font and bold. Sometimes they are so big that not much of anything really shows on the screen. Using the ctl key and scroll wheel will not reduce the font size.

With the page on display, try resetting page zoom as shown in the [[page zoom]] article.

Settings and arrangement changed without user input

I woke up the other morning to find that my iphone's apps had been rearranged overnight. The ringtone was also changed, and there may be other settings that are different which I've not discovered yet. The phone was turned on and in its charger overnight. There is no possibility that anyone else was using it and changing settings, and it had not been synced recently. This happened apparently spontaneously. Any ideas? Thanks.

same problem wiith iPad3 - many things helped a bit, and biggest improvement did come from Apple on line. even tho device is ouf of warrenty, they had me put in my serial number and then ran an extensive "health check" i was pretty surprised that they did that. i had to shut it off before it finished because my time was limited, so i never saw fhe 'last word' but it works a lof better now, before that I did reset and updated iOS. both helped a bit. also helped to take off foreign language keyboards, especially Tibetan, there is quite a bit of discussion about this problem in the forums, if you search. users describe it such varied ways that not all the reports show up on any given search. good luck! aloha

Toshiba Tecra M9 Bios problem

Hi,
Cant change in Tecra M9 bios boot from cd or flash. PgUp and PgDn not working there, buttons work in all other aplication in windows except Bios. HDD now formated, cant setup anything to PC.

You will need to take the unit, along with your proof of purchase, to the nearest Toshiba ASP and have them remove it. There is a special way the password needs to be removed and only Toshiba or one of their ASP's can do it. You should also take the police report with you.

Cant access to BIOS aftre HDD/SSD password!

Today I set a HDD/SSD password to my Tecra A-11 (updated BIOS) and I am verry happy with that pas,but I cant enter to the BIOS after I enter my HDD/SSD passwor - I press F2,but the screen just go dark for a second or two and the system acts like just being restarted - starting Windows 7 Ultimate.
Please advice what have to be done so I can enter my BIOS again.

If it thinks it has a BIOS or HDD password, there's no way to remove that without servicing. It sounds like it likely got damaged in the drop.

Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported.
Sounds like your iPhone was hacked/modified/jailbroken to work
with wireless carrier other than the one it was purchased from. The
update has relocked it to the original carrier. Contact the original
carrier to see if they offer unlocking and if you qualify - only the
carrier to which the iPhone is locked can unlock it.
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>Carrier?
Be advised that the previous modifications to change from original carrier
to your local Carrier may have rendered the iPhone unable to be
officially unlocked.

[VIA] MSI KT880 Delta-FSR Bios problem

I have MSI KT880 Delta-FSR motherboard.My problem is that about every second time when i start my pc BIOS settings will be factory settings.I have to go to bios and change every settings again away.

I have 120mm fan with my cooler.Temperature of the prosessor is about 44-47 celcius.Cooler is over one year old.
I have 2*512M PC 3200 memory.They are not same brand/make.In start i have one memory stick, 512M/Kingston and the problem was same.
All the answers are good what you are writing but i dont understand how those have an effect my BIOS problem ??Sometimes when i start my pc memory clock fz is 266 and its should be 400.I have to go bios the change it and like i write earlier put the onboard lan and ac97 enable.

BIOS problem? MSI Neo P35 F

I need help regarding some problem.
My PC has the following specs:
Motherboard: MSI Neo P35 F
I replaced the old CPU (Intel Core 2 duo 2.13 Ghz, E6420) by a new one (Intel Quad Core Q9650).
From then, the pc didn't recognize the new CPU
so I updated the old BIOS with the latest version (2.1) according to recognize the new CPU.
Now the pc boots, recognizes the CPU, but BIOS does not have the AHCI options possible, and I always get a "no hard disk detected" kind of error.
I only have IDE available, not even RAID.
So I need the AHCI too, to get a good connection to my hard drive I read somewhere.
(so I need a modded bios for that I suppose, can I find that anywhere?)
Other problems to mention:
Each time I change something in BIOS, like time/date or boot sequence, and I save, he does not boot further...
Each time I want to reboot it, I have to remove battery in order to get him rebooted again. (it's new battery)
With some workaround (in GRUB, running a linux os), I can get the OS started, so the hard disk and OS still work fine. But when shutting down the computer, he doesn't boot the correct way, and have to remove battery again. So maybe the BIOS is corrupted, or the shutting down method is wrong?
What could be the problem? Could I solve it by a modded bios?

Flash BIOS problem

I am about to install my new processor (Athlon XP 1700+) on my K7T Turbo v3 board. Before I do this I want to upgrade my BIOS from version 2.1 to version 3.5.
The problem is I don't know how to do the flash. I have downloaded the right bios version with the flash tool AWFL789.EXE, but I need (?) to make a boot disk. Problem is, I'm running win2k so I can't make a boot disk. How do I work around this problem? ?(

Ok here is the first thing DONT FLASH YOUR BIOS WITH 2000/XP bootdisks. Go to BOOTDISK and download win98/ME bootdisk and then flash your bios from HDD(not from floppy). If you are using NTFS you have to use the RAMDRIVE which you will get when you boot up with win98/ME bootdisks.(cause these system disks cant recognize NTFS). Toshiba 23WL56G: cant not change the PC RGB mode settings anymore

I have a problem with my (pretty old) 23WL56G: I changed some settings in the PC RGB mode and due to that I cant not change the settings any more (the image is flickering and the menu is closing itself any seconds)
Q: Is der any method to factory reset the tv ?
There is no menu entry for this so there is probably some code I can enter in the menu ? (or some button combination I have to press ?)

The TV is really pretty old since there are no info in the internet about this model.
I assume such old TV did not support an reset functionality. Sorry but any other method isnt known to me. I dont even known what you have changed exactly
So this looks like searching for the famous needle in the haystack. :(
