Reproducing apple music.

In my humble opinion apple should improve the way that we reproduce our music by just puting the name of the song and when it is over it will automatically continue reproducing all our music, cause the idea of searching it in alphabetical order is too uncomfortable, This would be a really good advance for apple.

I do not think that word means what you think it means.
If you have a question, ask it. If you want to make a suggestion to Apple, use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page.
You are not talking to Apple. This is a user forum.

  • Apple music app starts automatically in car since ios 8 update on iPhone 5

Since updating to iOS 8 on an iPhone 5 (thru iTunes on laptop), apple music app starts on its' own in the car using bluetooth.
It would start playing music after I started the igniton-though I never use that app or leave music of any sort running in my car when I turn car off.
Other times, it starts music if I use Google Maps or apples' iMessage . Quite annoying.

II'm sorry, I thought I'd updated to 8.02 but I checked and I only have 8.0.  I'm afraid to update to 8.02 as I've been reading both good and bad about it, like it may fix my app problem but screw up my Wi-fi.   I don't know what to do.   I'm between a rock and a hard place.

  • Why will the Apple music app on my iPad not play certain songs???

    Hi,
Suddenly I noticed that certain songs, that will play without problem within iTunes on my PC, and with no problem on my iPhone 4S, will NOT play at all on my iPad (MB293KS) running iOS 5.1.1...
I have reset the iPad and then downloaded everything again, but the problem is till there. The songs that will not play are AAC-files and sampled in 44,100 kHz, 256 kbit.
If I use a third party player on the same iPad, like Bongiovi DPS, the songs play all right!!! So it seems that something is really wrong with the Apple Music App on this particular iPad??? What can I do about this? Are there any other music player I should concider as replacements for the Apple Music App? (Besides the Bongioivi, that is...).
    Thanks!

I have now updated to the new iOS 6.1, but still this problem persists! How is it even possible to be able to play the songs in iTunes, on my PC, and on the specified iPad, using for example the Bongioivi app, but NOT when I use Apple's built in Music app?
So before the 5.1 upgrade, the songs were playing all right. But AFTER this upgrade, and still after the 6.1, they won't play???

  • Don't sync down Apple Music tracks please!

I think I've found the cause of many of my "it doesn't play on iOS, but does on my Mac" problems. I'd played with Apple Music a week ago. In doing that, a few of my local tracks end up with Apple Music DRM versions (I still have my old non-DRMed tracks too). When Spotify syncs a "local" track, it can pick either the DRMed version, or the non-DRMed version. You'll only find out it pulled the wrong one when playback grinds to a halt on iOS.  After removing the Apple Music tracks from the iTunes database, (they're listed under Apple Music), I was able to resync my playlist and the songs which previously wedged up started to play. Is there a place to file a bug with Spotify? Seems like it really shouldn't be sourcing "local" files that are Apple Music DRMed.

I still have not found a solution for this.  The only way to make my custom playlists accesible via Apple TV is to make sure that one of my OSX devices (iMac, MacBook) is active on the same network. The OSX device must be turned on and iTunes must be open. The AppleTV will then see the device and you can make use of the playlists.
It's a bit of a hassle though. The playlists should be accessible directly from AppleTV without needing additional devices online.

  • Is it legal to convert the music files, which I have purchased in recent months, to the mp3 format and burn them on to a CD so that they can be played in non-apple music devices that dont support the M4A format?

Is it legal to convert the music files, which I have purchased in recent months, to the mp3 format and burn them on to a CD so that they can be played in non-apple music devices that dont support the M4A format?

Yes, of course it is legal.
To convert the format, follow one of these documents:
iTunes 11 for Windows: Save a copy of a song in a new file format
iTunes 11 for Mac: Save a copy of a song in a new file format
Also note that you have the option of buying your files in MP3 format in the first place, from Amazon MP3 or other online retailers.  MP3 files will work in iTunes as well as virtually every other player, program, and device.

  • Apple Music connect error on Sky only

Cant watch anything on Apple Music Connect on Sky broadband or wifi on my mac and iphone. It works on 3g and 4g no issues Please explain

On Apple Music on iPhone the error is "The operation could not be completed (-12667)" On the mac it just plays through each song file for a second - before moving to the next, as if the files were corrupt. But like the OP said, if I switch to 3G it plays fine from both.  I know recently (and excuse my ignorance) a lot of my privacy settings changed on the router settings. I'm sure this isn't news to anyone, but I don't know if that means anything at all.  Thanks

  • Apple Music launches tomorrow !

Great news everyone, Apple Music launches tomorrow ! We finally won't be needing to downgrade to the old 0.9 Spotify anymore to get a functional streaming service (unlike that Beta piece of crap full of missing features they call "version 1.0") ! Spotify will probably get what they deserve, which is millions of cancelled subscriptions... The only thing I still ned to see is if we need to install iTunes to enjoy Apple Music, or if it's a stand-alone app (cos I'm not a big fan of iTunes to say the least  ^^)Oh well, the first 3 months are free, there's not much to lose  ;)

You are indeed correct. It's a great shame that, as a long term fan of Spotify, I've recently become quite unhappy and somewhat resentful of Spotify's increasingly arrogant and patchy approach to its software development. The PC application installs itself into your user profile, not Program Files, which is an absolute no-no in any enterprise and a highly quesitonable practice for home users.  Why?  Aside from portability the only other reason I can think of is a very sloppy and aggressive auto-update feature.  Even Google, who as far as I know started this practice along with Dropbox, provide a business installer to put it in the correct location along with ADM templates to customise the update behaviour.  Not so with Spotify... no cache control, no auto update control, less and less control, whatever we give you whenever we decide to give you it. Add to that the iOS app which for years now still can't manage to show offline artwork correctly and... well, it makes you wonder where Spotify's future lies. The absolute one thing I can guarantee is that the iOS Apple Music app will be polished and will work correctly.  iTunes may not be to everyone's liking but it installs where it's supposed, updates when I want it to and let's me control precisely where it stores its data.  For these reasons alone it's worth taking a look at and with any luck Spotify will take notice and start treating their customers with a little more respect than they are now.

The problem is that all services are bundled with your Apple ID ([email protected]):
Your iCloud account (Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, Notes, Backups, etc.),
also iTunes & App Store purchases (Music, Movies, TV Shows, etc.),
    and the iTunes Match services.
(I guess that all your devices - yours and your wife's are connected to one iTunes library, right?)
If you want that your wife gets her own iCloud account for Mail, Contacts, Calendars, etc. but gets also access to your media then you have two set up two things on her device:
iCloud (Settings > iCloud) with her account (e.g. [email protected])
    and
iTunes & App Stores (Settings > iTunes & App Stores) with your account (e.g. [email protected]).
In this case she gets access to your library and could use the same iTunes Match account.
