I updated the BIOS on my GTX 970 Gaming to v126 via Live Update earlier today. Since then my system has been unstable and crashing in strange ways, and I want to downgrade back to v126. Can someone tell me how to do this? This is my current BIOS as extracted by GPU-Z: dl[.]dropbox[.]com/s/slp4agc21qyyol1/GM204[.]rom

  • GTX 970 Gaming 4G - BIOS Download

    Hey,
Sorry for the extra forum clutter, but after reading the vBIOS request post I thought it would be best to create a new thread. I've read quite a few posts here that relate to updated firmware for the GTX 970 Gaming 4G card and I wanted to make sure I was getting the correct firmware for my particular card!
My serial number is as follows (last few characters obfuscated): 602-V316-09SB1411XXXXXX
    And here's the BIOS file I extracted using GPU-Z:  GM204.zip (136.45 kB - downloaded 22 times.)
    Thanks in advance!

  • [REQUEST] Latest MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G BIOS

    Hi
I've noticed there's this new version "186" vbios for GTX 970 hovering around. I'm currently using 182 but MSI Live Update doesn't seem to find the more recent version (186).
I was wondering if someone could tell me if it works on my GPU and if so, give me a download link.

Yes, driver MUST be uninstalled or at least disabled (don't reboot!)

After downloading the matching archive first uninstall the Nvidia driver (!) then simply decompress the archive and then execute the included batch file (182.bat in case of NV316MH.182's archive) in Windows by double clicking or via command prompt (must be run as administrator)

  • Yet another GTX 970 Gaming 4gb Bios tread. Any changelog out there?

Is there a newer bios than NV316MH.185? What changes have been done?
Have attached my current bios .rom (changed it to *.txt to be able to upload it)
Why is it not posible to find any info about the bios and changed on the website?

MSI doesn't publish changelogs for vbios updates so there aren't any.

  • GTX 970 Gaming 4g BIOS update

    Hey,
I want to update my GPU's BIOS.
    S/N: 602-V316-03SB1409103533
Live update shows NV316MH.126 as current BIOS and
    NV316MH.182 as latest
However, should 186 not be the latest BIOS?

  • GTX 970 gaming 4g BIOS UPDATE QUESTION

    Hello,
I have read that updating the BIOS of this card can fix some problems, so I was looking forward to do it but I encounter this problem.
My card has a different S/N than all the ones on the download page.
    This is what's on my box: S/N:602 - V316 - 050B1502006079
On the download page there is no "050" version...

  • MSI GeForce GTX 970 with MSI Z68A-GD55 (G3) motherboard

    Hi!
I have seen a similar issue here that was resolved with the help of this forum. (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=251322.0). I still want to ask my questons however, since I have a slightly different situation.
I recently bought a new Graphics card, a MSI GTX 970, to replace my older EVGA GTX 570. After installing it, the time it takes to startup the computer is quite a bit longer. The very begninning of the startup process is the part that takes longer, I see a black screen and "B2" in the lower right hand corner, with the older GPU this was seen for a few seconds but now it stays that way for about a minute. After that I see some random colors in stead of the MSI logo and then the regular "Starting Windows" image appears, from there the startup is as fast as before.
When the computer has started it seems to work perfectly, and the new graphics card is great, everything on "ultra" in games etc.
I guess the way to resolve this issue is to update BIOS. I am a bit afraid of this however, of the risk of destroying something.
What would be your suggestions? Is it better to update bios or to leave it as it is, since the computer works? Are the any risks with keeping this bios version, that seems to have some issue with the graphics card?
Any help would be greately appreciated!
    /Johan

    Ok, thanks for the advice.
I have started looking at the instructions and have downloaded the installer and the bios file. It seems Norton Internet Security has some problem with the installer.  When I start the installer it reaches the point when it shows the current bios version, after that it is interupted by Norton. The reason that Norton gives is that it has found something called "Suspicious.Cloud.9.B" in the file b4.bks. How should I react to this?

  • GTX 970 GAMING 4G GOLDEN EDITION

    Hey my fellow Gaming body's
Im looking for the MSI Geforce GTX 970 GAMING 4G GOLDEN EDITION. Can't seem to find a place there sell's them. Was interested in a price and if any of you know where i could get my hands in them i would be so happy.
Hope you have a good dag and hope some of you can help me.
    @HappyGamer!

As far as I know it is discontinued (and therefor not available) as it was just a limited offer like all Golden Editions before.
You can ask MSI directly if the Golden Edition is still in production: >>How to contact MSI.<<
Alternatively you can e.g. check ebay for used ones or remainders.

  • MSI GTX 970 GAMING 4G + RAIJINTEK Morpheus

    Greetings everyone.
So as I'm aware off, there are no "default" PCB for the 970. Manufacturers were told to create their own PCB or base it off some older PCBs.
With that said, how would you know if an aftermarket GPU cooler would fit on lets say MSI GTX 970 GAMING 4G, since there should be no such things as "reference mounting holes"?
I have the RAIJINTEK Morpheus GPU cooler laying around alright. But is there no way at all, to know if it'll fit the mention videocard?

    Okay..
    This is my suggestion:
    https://www.overclockers.co.uk/webnote.php
    Presales Enquiry:
Tell them that you want to buy SPECIFIC graphics card (e.g. MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming Edition 4096MB ) and you also want to buy Rajintek Morpheus for it. And ask if it will fit. You don't have to buy it from them though (don't worry if you live outside the UK, they just provide damn good support on presales questions)

  • How do I save multliple tabs, new update has no "bookmarak all tabs" option.

Bookmarks info does not address the issue that "bookmark all tabs" disappeared. The update provides no option to "bookmark all tabs." This option is important to retain research material.
