Hi, can I get a modified bios with the above swaps please? (swap FN with Ctrl, Left Alt with \ [left of spacebar], and Insert with Delete)
My MOBO model is MS-1683.
My laptop is the A6000-029US.

what's the bios version? look in bios setup, system info and paste here what's showed there.

Ctrl Alt Insert

I'm trying to send CTRL+ALT+INSERT through any VNC session. Ive tried on both Remoter Pro and Real VNC, but I can't find any keyboard combination that works on MAC without having to use Parallels. The purpose is, I need to send CTRL+ALT+DEL over VNC to a PC running vmWare Player, which requires CTRL+ALT+INSERT.
Ive found various key combinations to test, mostly giving me only the Insert function, but I need all 3 together. I'd even settle for a virtual keyboard or app that would do it for me.
Can anyone help? I'd also like to mention I'm still fairly new to Mac. Thanks

I just purchased an MSI-1727 Barebone from a third party vendor (http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Xplorer_X7_7700_Notebook/). I did some searching and found this post and another post for the A6000 about swapping the Ctrl + FN , \ + Alt , Delete + Insert keys (to look exactly how I typed it); and that is exactly what I was looking to do. Would it be possible if you could send me a bios that does this? I have read the posts about how to do it, and I would definitely be willing to make a donation.

Ctrl Alt and delete?

Hi there,
I've no idea what the equivalent on a mac is for windows "ctrL" "alt" and "delete" when trying to access programs which have frozen. I'm trying to find "end now" ..hope you guys can help as I don't want to resort to rebooting..but the wee wheel of colour is churning away here.

It's a new machine - and the Thunderbolt Display is meant to work with it. You need to just make an appointment at your local Apple Store and have them fix whatever is wrong.
If you like, you could always try a SMC reset and a PRAM/NVRAM reset to see if either of those will get your keyboard back in working order...

Left Alt+Shift combination

When I click left Alt+Shift in order to change keyboard language, the Edit window (either in Code or in Design view) looses the focus, so I can't type anymore. I have to use the mouse (click where the text should be) and then start typing again.
Please note that it only occurs in Edit window (where the contents of the page are) and not in any other place. For example I don't have the problem when I'm in the Properties Panel and I want to type an ID in the second language (1st keyboard language is English, 2nd is Greek). Furthermore the problem is only DW (CS4) related. All the other applications are working as they should (Word, Excel, Photoshop, Firefox, etc).
The weird thing is that, when I first open DW the combination works OK, but after a while it doesn't. Especially, after I use the Snippets panel.(select a snippet and click the Insert button).
Any thoughts?

This is a known issue with switching keyboard layout in Dreamweaver. Switching keyboard layout results in the toolbars being redrawn. You can submit a bug report/feature request through the form at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform, but there's nothing you can do about it apart from use the mouse to refocus the program after switching.

Both Ctrl and Alt stopped working on T410

Hi All,
Today, both Ctrl And Alt keys on my T410 stopped working. I tried updating the drivers, rebooted a few times but no luck. I am using Windows 7 64 bit. There has been no recent changes on my latpop. I can use Fn key as Ctrl key after enabling the swap feature in the bios. I dont know if I can some how use another key for Alt key. I am wondering if it is a key board problem then how come both keys (left and right to the space bar) are not working ? will greatly appreciate any ideas,

both shift and ctrl doesn't work, so it seems not be hardware issue.
Assumption is the mother of all f.... Okay, did you make sure? Try burning a LiveCD of popular distro, boot from it and see if the issue persists.
Before changing any settings, can you hook up an external keyboard (e.g. a USB keyboard). See if it has the same problems.
After that, fiddle around with keyboard settings an layouts. Perhaps the reconfiguration will help.

Right side CTRL and ALT don't work

As a southpaw, I'm finding it a bit frustrating to work with my fresh install of CS5 Illustrator. The CTRL and ALT buttons only behave properly when then left side buttons are used. I have the mouse in my left hand, so I want to use the CTRL and ALT buttons on that are on the right side of my keyboard. However, they appear to be ignored by illustrator. I don't have this problem in photoshop, just illustrator. The keys are behaving normally in all other applications, and I have not reconfigured any keys in windows. In fact, it's a fresh windows install. Any advice will be much appreciated.

Unfortunately, i don't think my comment will be of much help but in CS4 it's working OK.

Why do assets shift to the left when I delete something? For example if I have a whole series of text inserts in my movie and I delete one... assets to the left of the deleted text will shift. And the snap is NOT checked. It would be helpful if assets would stay in place and not shift to the left ... groan.

Hi,
As of now in Xcelsius/Dashboard Design there is no feature or functionality to insert/update/delete data from database.
Solution:
Create a Web service in let’s say C# or Java, which will perform insert/update/delete operation.
In Xcelsius add Web Service connection and user above web service.
Xcelsius Web Service connection provides option to pass input values to a Web Service (Input Pane) and get the result (Output values pane).
We can pass values to be written to the database as a input to Web Service via Web Service connection from Xcelsius and write data to the database.
Note:
Performing delete operation from Xcelsius Dashboard could be risky and may delete important data from database. I would not prefer giving delete option/functionality in Xcelsius dashboard.
