You can change the Apple ID used for purchasing on her phone by going to Settings>Store>Apple ID, tap the ID shown, sign out, sign back in using her Apple ID. However, be aware that if she has any apps on her phone purchased with your Apple ID she will still be prompted to enter the password associated with this ID for all future updates of these apps. This is because apps are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them, regardless of the ID in Settings>Store. -
Search for mai in gmail and copy text
I am having hard time to copy text. Basically, I need to search for mail in gmail and copy text to be sent as text message or copy as note.
1 In ff and default browser, I can search for mail, but no select option
2 In Nokia messaging there is no option for even search.

For Copy-Pasting from Gmail, I am not aware of the technique of doing the same from a browser. The copy-paste function works well from a text-field to another text-field.
So, I just forward the Gmail message, so that the body of the text appears on a text-filed inside the browser......and then I copy-paste it................without really forwarding the message to anyone -

Login to your iDisk on the windows machine and then click on the Home on the left.
Upload whatever documents you want access to on your iPad to your iDisk.
Once you have the desired files on your iDisk you go to the app on your iPad you wish to work with tap the sharing button (little arrow going down into a box) which will give you an "iDisk" option and you'll see the files there.

I am in a group chat with like 7 other people who all have smartphones. 6 of the people have iPhones, but the other person has android. I'm wondering if the iMessage works for the other 6, and my text count is only being accounted for by the android user. I have a monthly limit of 1000 text so I dont want to go over my plan by being in this group if the iMessage doesnt work because of that one android user.
Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps. -

CSS is interpreted by your browser, so server cache seems unlikely in htis case. There is however some hierarchy in CSS, so parts of the APEX CSS, theme CSS or page CSS might overwright or block yours.
Does changing the CSS on runtime affect your page? Eg, run the following in your browser console and see if your page turns black: $('#uBodyContainer').css("background-color","black")
Also try moving up your css in the hierarchy labeling it as important:

background-color:#000000 !important;

I deleted all Apps on iPad as they were associated with an out of date Apple ID (which I have forgotten the password) and I could not update them, but the "App Store" logo still shows that there are 2 to be updated and when I go there I cannot delete. Please assist. Thanks.
Why don't you explain what happens when you try to delete these two apps that are showing that they need updates. You can only delete them if they are actually installEd on the iPad. Are they on the device?

FEATURE REQUEST: Independently zoom page size and font size
Firefox lets me zoom the page in and out, which is great, but usually useless. The problem I usually have is that font is the right size, but the text doesn't all fit in the window. What Firefox needs is a way to independently zoom text and page size. Then, I could fit all of the text in the window without making the text microscopic. Here's how it would work: CTRL+- ZOOMS JUST THE PAGE SIZE. The text size would remain the same. CTRL-SHIFT+- ZOOMS JUST THE TEXT. The page size would remain the same.
I know this is possible. The fact that Firefox can zoom the text only without affecting the page size is evidence of that. Firefox is always looking for good ideas that have never been done before. Well, this is one of them. Do it, and we would love you all forever!Web pages with a fixed width layout will always be a problem for any zoom feature. Assuming Firefox wants to adjust the layout so it can't exceed the width of the window, should it just do a proportional adjustment of widths or try to keep sidebars the same while reducing a main area, or wrap a sidebar to the bottom of the content (as though it were a floated element), etc., etc. Maybe the experience of programming zoom on mobile browsers will feed back some learning to desktop browsers, but UI designers have a long way to go there as well.
In the short run, maybe something like the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/readability/ Readability extension] will help tame those unruly layouts? -
Printing/Preview does not honour to printer page margins and garbles text
I have this weird problem with printing. When I print, e.g., a pdf using preview, the page comes out of the printer incorrectly, that is the top 2.2cm gets chopped off and some of the characters have become unreadable (especially the I, the :, and the J). When I print the same pdf from adobe reader, the page comes out fine...
The problem of chopping-off the top bit of a page also happens when I print directly from an application (e.g., thunderbird, firefox). Saving the print as PDF and printing that one with adobe reader again works fine.
The problems occurs only when I print on my Lexmark Optra E312L (using the generic Postscript printer). On our HP Photo Printer (B9180), everything works as expected.
I have already restarted the printing system, but while this did solve another printing problem, I still have this problem.
So my question is: anyone else experiencing similar problems (ie., top of print chopped-off and garbled text) and, better yet, is there a solution?

I was already using the full printing dialogue, but nowhere did I find anything that might solve this problem. The print scaling, I did not want to use as I want the page to come out as-is (the pdf was an A4 and I print to A4). Note: border less printing or other ways of selecting a larger printable area doesn't work either; when I select the Lexmark, I have a very limited number of page size options and while it shows them, I can't use a custom page size (otherwise that could have solved the problem I guess).
I did expect some things to get chopped-off but then evenly from all sides (ie, where it can't print). This is not what happens when printing from preview though. Today I tried again and while the results are the same, I now understand better what Preview does: it chops off only the top bit (what it does left and right, I don't know yet). In my opinion this is an error on the part of Preview because that way you never get the page exactly as it was intended. Adobe Reader does this much better, so that is what I will be using from now on.
The other problem, the garbled text (mostly i's, j's, and :'s) is still there as well. So I guess there must be a problem in the printing engine of Preview in combination with the generic postscript driver...
Heck, it gets even more interesting: I also tested printing from Firefox directly. This results in an error flashing on the printer, the printout got out of the printer ok-ish though. When saving the output as PDF and printing that with Adobe Reader again, the printer does not generate an error AND (more importantly), the output is much better quality wise (the rendering of the fonts and greys is much better).
Right, I guess the lesson I learned here is not to use Preview/print directly when I want to print to the Lexmark and to take the route PDF->Adobe Reader->Lexmark instead.
Is there a way I can let Apple know about bugs? (the garbled text certainly is a bug, the other things may or may not).
