Request for official ethernet bonding support
Arch already has excellent support for LVM. I run two machines with LVM2. In order to make AL even more server friendly, what about adding bonding support? It shouldn't involve too much work, just an extra if block in etc/rc.d/network, an official ifenslave package, and one or two lines in rc.conf.
There is a user contribution that does it here:
http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=3082
...but it is a little unpolished and is not official.
I think this would be a useful addition (especially for people like me, who like Arch for fast servers) that wouldn't take too much time from the devteam.
Thanks for the consideration!
arch is growing that fast, it is hard to keep an overview. but as long as i, as an "afternoon linux user", can get any information, it is fine with me.

HT4356 AirPrint Support in the Printer Side (Request for Official Procedure/Steps)
*I selected the iPhone community (but this is for Apple's AirPrint Support in general)
We are currently considering to add support for AirPrint
in our printer-side development.
Does anyone know how can receive official information from Apple regarding
the required procedure/steps to correctly support
AirPrint in the printer side?
We are expecting that such steps would also contain details
on how our printers can become listed later on
in the following Apple page containing the official AirPrint printers:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4356
We understand that Apple may need to conduct
some conformance tests in order to consider
that our printer has already officially supported AirPrint,
so we may need to consider such also in our schedule.Aliel2-
The round button at the bottom of the iPad's front is your Home button. The Sleep button is on the top edge near the right corner.
Normally the Sleep button just puts the iPad to sleep but does not acgtually turn it off. If you used the "Slide to power off" arrow and turned it off, you will need to hold the Sleep button for several seconds until the Apple logo appears, in order to turn the iPad back on.
I wonder if you did the reset the right way, but just did not hold both buttons long enough for the Apple logo to appear? I just tried it on my iPad 2, and it took 17 seconds before the Apple logo appeared. It took another couple of minutes for it to restart to the "slide to unlock" screen.

Contact BEA sales, I believe that version 7.0 supports the seamless
replacement of security providers and that several major security vendors
have developed providers that are or will shortly be commercially available.

First off, this may seem redundant.
Our company is looking for security products that can be used to
secure the Weblogic Application server. We are currently upgrading
from 5.1 to 7.0 and left to my own devices I would use the Security
that is built into weblogic.
However in order to do the due diligence I need to provide other
options i.e. get a product that can be configured to provide security
for the Application server. An additional nice to have feature would
be security for resources outside of Weblogic.
My primary request is for any websites that give a comparison of
such tools. but if anyone has experience using a security tool with
weblogic, it would be great to hear this. If anyone has used an
external LDAP server with Weblogic 7.0 that would be interesting also. -

Request for S200/S205EXR Raw support
Adobe folks, one of your own mentioned awhile back that work was in progress for Lightroom to support the RAW files from the Fujifilm S200/S205EXR camera. This was some time ago. Will this support still come or is there a change in plans?
Thank you. There could be technical problems. Lr needs a minimum amount of access to raw image data to work, and some vendors lock some key information away and don't provide an easy way to get at that legally.
A question worth investigating is if anyone else supports raw images form these cameras to any great extent.
[Edit]
Well, I did a little research myself, and it appears that the raw support for this camera is very vendor specific. Apparently, the sensor technology is rather unique, and most people have best success with the vendor software. Other convertors are (apparently) not all that successful at getting at and providing access to the full range of raw image data. Whether this inability is a result of vendor lock-in is unknown, but my money is on Fuji not really letting their customers have full access to the image data.
This situation is exactly why a niche company like Fuji (oh, how the mighty have fallen) should consider embracing DNG. -
REQUEST for ARMv6 or lower support !!!
As there are many people using older version of andriod phone and the new Samsung Galaxy Y is being huge in countries like India, it's time to have Adobe AIR support running on it. I did by own research on friends around me who using Andriod phone and it's interesting to found that more than half of them can't ran Adobe AIR. Therefore, if we as developer choosing Adobe AIR as platform to build mobile apps even as simple as "Hello World" apps, there are a huge percentage of Android user cant run it. Which means our apps is going to losing millions or billions of potential customer because of chosing Adobe AIR.
I hope Adobe to bring AIR support on all those lower performance device (ARMv6 or lower) especially those new ARMv6 device. Btw, I have seen Samsung Galaxy Y running great on Unity games because these new ARMv6 device comes with good GPU. So, Adobe should look into it.I thought it can not be
Flash-like technology is low performance
So adobe define high performance machince to using this framework
If your device is low performance,I suggest you can try phone gap
Now Dreamweaver can generate PhoneGap android structure and deploy apk to device directly
How about try it out?! -
Request for Samsung NX10 support
I didn't see any threads on this yet so I'd like to make a request for Adobe to add support for the new Samsung NX10 RAW format in Lightroom.
I second this request. NX10 support in Lightroom 3, please.

Official list of supported graphics cards for HP IPISB-CH2 motherboard
Hi,
Is there any official list of supported graphics cards for HP motherboards (specifically HP IPISB-CH2 (Chicago))?
I've been trying to upgrade my graphics for MSI GTX 960, but found out the MB's BIOS (v. 7.12) is incompatible and there's no BIOS upgrade available that would solve this problem. I have returned the 960 and wanted to try the GTX 660, but a few people told me they've also been having BIOS compatibility issues with this one.
The only info I found was that the MB "Supports PCI Express x16 graphics cards" (source: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02854392 ) - which is a very insufficient description (as the GTX 960 meets it and doesn't work anyway).Hi,
There are three versions of the motherboard, in the official web site can see that detail parts, desktops using IPISB-CH2 (Chicago) from factory, and video cards are installed on them.
Another thing to keep in mind is that if the graph is more powerful requiring a power of more watts.

Skipping request for user policy assignments due to agent configuration for authority
Hello all,
Symptoms:
The Configuration Manager only shows the following actions:
Application Deployment Evaluation Cycle
Machine Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle
Software Updates Deployment Evaluation Cycle
User Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle
In Software Center there are no applications visible. Also the default 'IT Organization' is shown instead of the 'real' name.
The Confugration Manager:
shows in the tab 'General' the correct Management point. Connection type is 'currently intranet' (ok)
shows in the tab 'Site' the correct site code.
shows in the tab 'Components' all components as either 'installed' or 'enabled'. Only CCM Notification Agent shows 'Disabled'.
In SCCM 2012 under 'Client Settings' -> 'Default Settings' -> 'Client Policy' the setting 'Enable User policy on clients' has been enabled.
Done so far (without success):
Re-installed the MP
Run a query on the SCCM Database to check if there are any corrupt records. There are not.
Installed version 5.00.7958.1000
CCM Framework: 5.00.7958.1203
The computer is installed with a task sequence. There is a reboot after 'Setup Windows and ConfigMgr (CM2012 R2 CU1)'.
Installation command of the SCCM Client (during OSD deployment):

It is about the PSComputerName: that is the name of the machine on which the capture was made. So I suppose the problem is already in the image. Is my statement correct or is it not relevant?

A (reasonable) request for Linux
Hi Adobe Team (specially Chris Cox, who takes a lot of time in this requests),
I want to make "another" request for Photoshop in Linux, and I would be glad if you people could take it in consideration. First of all, there are some clear statements:
Adobe will never port Photoshop to Linux natively.
They would loose tons of money porting it for a very small amount of real customers (and for real I mean people who already bought the product and are willing to move to Linux), c'mon be realistic. When Chris said that it wasn't without reason, there is a huge userbase in Linux, but no real profit in the short/mid term for Adobe (and I could cry out of shame by telling this, but it's true)
It would require at least 1-2 years of work and testing, which maybe Adobe can't afford (I don't know)
So, I'm making my request based on those premises, you will never port Photoshop to Linux natively, BUT:
Could you make an internal study to see if it's affordable for Adobe to provide official support for installation through Wine? I mean, maybe you're doing it, but if not, could you just assign one or two people to make the Wine installers? (that shouldn't take too much time neither money) those people only need to allocate time when it's a new Photoshop release, and the rest of the time they can continue with their usual tasks.
Maybe I'm saying too much, but I think this could be a reasonable way to ask Adobe for some Linux support without asking them to invest tons of money.
EDIT
There are two questions that I left out of the box:
1) A very common response would be: "But the community is already doing the installers, why should we bother?"
It's true, the community are doing them, but they're not enough. There are some Photoshop internals that people miss to make the installers good enough, and a bit of help from the Photoshop team would be nice to solve those bumps in the road.
2) Another possible response: "But the Linux landscape is very fragmented"
True, that's one of the features of Linux, and one of the biggest disadvantages to make huge programs like Photoshop work properly. What I'm asking in this post is to make Wine installers, so the Photoshop team doesn't have to care about:
Efficiency: Wine has it's own efficiency, if we hav to use a bit slower Photoshop we can bear with it.
Fragmentation: Wine and the distros take care about the differences between linux distros, so the adobe team doesn't have to
Support: We don't ask for application support. Just for installation, if for some reason Wine installs Photoshop OK but it fails during runtime it's not Adobe's fault, we're using multiple layers that are not meant to be there in the native product.Best if you post to the official Photoshop feedback forum where Adobe claims to do most of its listening to customer reported bug reports and feature requests
