Japanese/Chinese Font for PDF and MS Office files

Hi,
I have both the BB9860 and the Playbook, always uses the Playbook to download and read email attachments.
However, I realise that for PDF and MS Office files, japanese/Chinese fonts are not supported.
Is there any way for me to download the add-ons and install into my playbook?

How to enable password request for restart and shutdown?

I'm neither a Linux nor an Arch Linux newbie, but inexperienced regarding this particular issue.
I want to enable password request for restart and shutdown and want to know if I'm mistaken, because trial and error might become to time-consuming while working on a project.

If I try to run $ shutdown -hP 28 or $ shutdown -c nothings happens, I need to run $ sudo shutdown -hP 28 and $ sudo shutdown -c and type a password. That's the way I want it.
If I e.g. run $ shutdown -r now no password is needed. I want to disable this. It should behave the same way as shutdown -hP/-c behave. I want to type
$ sudo shutdown -r now or $ sudo systemctl reboot etc. and then the password should be required.
$ sudo grep -vn "#" /etc/sudoers | grep [[:blank:]]
72:root ALL=(ALL) ALL
73:rocketmouse ALL=(ALL) ALL
The user "rocketmouse" should have all permissions after typing a password, but not without typing the password.

Have you installed Adobe Reader and its associated plugin? AFAIK, that's the preferred if not the only way to open PDFs in an embedded view within Safari.

Bridge does not show dimensions for .PDF and .AI files

Is there any way to see the dimensions in cm (or inch) for PDF and AI files in Bridge? I'm using Bridge CS5 4.1.0.54 as part of CS5.5 Design Premium, have set the preferences in Bridge to show them, but there are no values in the metadata fields for dimensions in inch/cm. I don't know if this behaviour is normal or if there's something wrong with my installation...

May be 'dimension' is not the right word/translation. In my german version it says 'Abmessungen (in Zoll)' or 'Abmessungen (in cm)', which should mean something like 'dimension' or 'size'. DIN A4, A5, US Letter, Legal etc. pp. in cm or inch.

I have a really hard time understanding that requirement.... in none of our projects has this come up so far. What's the reasoning behind that?
I mean, if you do that, a can't request for a, and b can't request for b, but a can request for b, and b for a, right?
So, the only reasoning behind that would be some kind of SoD separation between requester and user (which serves no real purpose, does it??).
If you want to limit the people that can request at all to a certain group, set authetication source to UME and give only those users a UME account.
Or, if you want SoD, set "approve/reject own request" to "no" in end user personalization, so the approver can not be the same persoin as the requester.
If none of these suit you, maybe you can explain in a bit more detail what you're trying to achieve.

if you are using OBIEE 11g then, New-> under Published Reporting -> Report.
if you have .rdf file then upload it and saved.
and simply create dashboard, drag and drop report into dashboard.

Listing product numbers and linking related pdf

I need to create a web page that just lists our product
numbers and link a pdf for each. We are having problems with our
original website where no changes can be made (including pricing).
I am building a new one and although I have our shopping cart 90%
complete, this company wants a list to go up with the home page so
we can take the other site down while I continue building the
proper remaining pages for our site. I can copy and paste my
product numbers into DW, though I will have to go in an link a pdf
to each. Any suggestions on the best way to do this?

You're right the copy and paste is easy, but I don't know how
to get the PDF's linked without doing each one individually...
which isn't difficult, just time consuming and mind numbing. I was
hoping for suggestions as to the easiest way to bring the data into
DW, whether it was copy and paste or to import a .csv or another
avenue that I'm not aware of. Additionally, if there's an easier
way to link 150+ PDF's.
Because I'm new to DW (building my first website), I also
don't have the knowledge of the best way to set up that temporary
page. At this minute I merely created a blank HTML page and created
a table, then I imported a product .csv file to fill that table.
When I launched both Safari & FF, the products look fine in

Print automatically a request for quotation and purchase order

I create a new message ZNEU and I link a new form.
I want the system creates automatically the message ZNEU when I save my request for quotation.
In transaction NACE, I specify the output type ZNEU
My Access sequence is 0001 DocType/PurchOrg/Vendor
I specify a procedure RMBEA1 Purchasing RFQ
Then I put in step 10 the condition type ZNEU and a requirement 101
I just copy the message NEU in ZNEU.
And in condition record ( tcode MN02) I create the output type with combinaison purchasing output determintation document type.
With all these datas I haven't anything when I save the RFQ?
I have the same problem with purchase order.
Anybody have an idea?

Hi,
For RFQ create outut condition using MN01 transaction give your output tpe ZNEU and choose the option doc type as AN and give your purchase group.give transmission medium 1 and time 4.In communication method give printer name and tick print immediately and save.Then while creating RFQ for that purchase group message will come automatically.
For PO create output condition using MN04 transaction and document type is EF.Repeat the same like RFQ.
Hope it will solve your issue.

Which BUs Object should I use for archiving and linking to SalesDocuments

Hi,
I want to archive documents and link them to SalesDocuments, but I don't know which BUsiness Object I should use. Special Ones like BUS2030, BUS2031,... or the general Type VBAK. If I use VBAK I have the problem, that when I archive manually all with VBAK linked documenttypes are proposed, so that I can't control, which documents are allowed to be linked with for instance CustomerQuotation or SalesOrder.

Lpadmin - request for username and password - not responding correctly

Recently updated to a new computer and 10.5.7.
A printer was paused (somehow). Tried to resume printing and got a request for an lpadmin administrator user name and password. Mine is the only account on this computer. Put in my user name and password, but this was rejected. If I tried 3 times I was told to try later (and given my password hint). However, after clicking OK to this dialogue the action WAS taken.
Same thing happened when I tried to add a printer. It will not accept my username and password, but if I persist until I get the message to try again later, the printer WAS added.
So, I am back to having a printer, but this seems like a bug.

I am doing project in servlet and jasperreport in tomcat.
I save my path jasperreport for Html and Pdf reports.
when i click the jsp button Export to pdf and Export to Html,
I need to open this files in new pdf application and new browser window .

Learn HTML. There is a nice tutorial at w3schools.com and a good specification at w3.org.

Report Type for pdf and Excel

I have following code to generate the report for pdf format.
I would like to let users to choose report type 'pdf' or 'excel'
I need pass the user select from user interface to <cfreport format= "PDF" or "Excel".
Can you please advise how I can pass the user select Report Type from lsReportType to my cfReport?

Change format="PDF" to format="#VariableName#" where VariableName contains the text "PDF" or "Excel".
