REQUEST: GFX Card temp control for Core Center

Hi !
I'm using both MSI Mainboard and GFX card, 875P Neo MP (using P4 3.2 GHz Prescott) and GF6800 Ultra AGP GFX card.
I got processor/ northbridge and GFX card watercooled.
I got one problem however, I currently am controlling the fans for the radiator with the fan control for the processor since I sometimes use processor more than GFX card, but I may have to change it to the GFX card fan controller since this also gets hottest some of the time...
I would love if there was possible to add the function to Core Center that would show the GFX card temperature, and then set the fan speed according to the greatest temperature of the GFX/CPU temperatures.
Or if it is easier, if there is a program that can do this allready made, a link to it would be nice
Thanx
Regards
Flaps

There is no thing as system/case temp sensor on theese mobos.Only cpu & nv-chipset .
The temperature you see in corecenter as systemp is actually the nvidia chipset temperature .
Northbridge memory functions is taken over by the athlon 64 , thats why MSI finds it more reasonable to display
the nv-chip temp as systemp (remember that corecenter is an allround app for all msi mobos) .
Rest of the nb/sb functions are implemented as a single chip solution in the nvidia chipset chip.
So the traditional nb/sb solution is no longer existing.
The Athlon 64 and Athlon 64 FX each features its own integrated memory controller—single-channel for the Athlon 64 and dual-channel for the Athlon 64 FX. Instead of connecting to a traditional northbridge, these CPUs connect to a video card through a HyperTransport Graphics Tunnel. Data intended for components like PCI cards, disk drives, and USB peripherals is then routed through a HyperTransport I/O Hub, which is embedded in the core logic chip.

  • Is there any way to monitor CPU temp without Dual Core Center

I hate Dual Core Center it has done nothing but lock my system up is there any alteranative to monitor CPU temp/Fan speed

I use speedfan... but for Core 2 Duo, I don't think I have to worry about the CPU temp anymore... they are really coooooooooooooll
Does anybody have an idea what the optimal temperature range for core duo cpu:s are? I used to have an Athlon XP, which was typically 65 °, now the my E6600 is running at 35-40 ° [celsius]. But where's the critical temperature where it burns?

  • Drivers won't load for core center or core cell?

When I log on as a powers user I get these pop up windows that say the drivers for the digi cell and digi core were not installed. I also get another pop up about this mother board not supported. But when I log on as administrator they all load no problems. I am running windows xp pro w\sp2 on a AMD64 3200 clawhammer, with a K8N Neo Platnum board. Any ideas why this would happen. Thanks for the help.

    hi
The K8N nvidea forum is below this one, this is K8T Via board.
That forum would best answer this, as bios and settings are differant.

  • Core Center Temps Reversed?

With my recent Live Updates, I updated Core Center to Ver. 1.7.3.0.  Maybe I'm wrong, but the reported CPU and System temperatures now look reversed.

ok here is what i've found out or at least seems to be true.  The temps are all messed up in both bios and core center.  I tried bios 3.2, 3.4, 3.5, 3.6, core center all I could try was the initial one that came with cd (seems to give same readouts I got with all the versions previous to the current one) and the current version.
I dont believe 3.6 reverses the temps, with all the bios's and corecenters the ambient/sys temp remains within one C.  The core temp is the only thing that really changes.
Idle core temps with new core center
    3.6 core 24C
    3.5 core 45C
    3.4 core 27C
    3.2 core 27C
Idle core temps with previous core center
    3.6 core 28C
    3.5 core 50C
    3.4 core 32C
    3.2 core 32C
the temps from the older core center and bios 3.2/3.4 seemed to give me published real world expected temps.  3.5 went way high and it seems that the newer core center may have been made to adjust for the high temp by compensating and bringing it down some since the newer core center lowers all the temps compared to the older versions.  3.6 seems to have over corrected cpu temp and combind with the newer core center which is also lowering temps you get really low temps.  I went back to older corecenter and the 3.2 bios and now my readings are around 31C idle (26C ambient) up to around 50C if i push it.

  • Core Center Question ?

    hello guys,
i wanted to know about corecell feature and and core center i am using latest version now and my CPU fan is usually at 4440 RPM even with gaming but my system temperature increases from 43-47 usually when gaming ? is this ok and my CPU temperature is 51C because its Prescott and i cannot do anything about it ? i wanted to know does corecell protect our computer from electric shock, overheating without Core Center or it would not without core center becasue the first time after installing windows xp service pack 1 (clean installation) i hear loud noise usually the CPU fan is on full speed but as soon as i installed the latest version of Core Center it adjusts it automatically and quietly and should i change my CPU priority for Core Center as maximum does that do any thing and i wanted to know i have DDR 400 Mhz but in bios it says DDR 333 because i have 533 FSB CPU is that right ? well does that mean i wasted my money on this or does that mean an upgrade to FSB 800 will make that better.

well, your MSI P4 mobo is your friend, because it shuts the system down, when the CPU is about to overheat. and the function "spread spectrum" helps preventing all static issues. but you should disable it, when you overclock. at least its recommended that way in the manual.
your temps seem fine to me, and they look even better because you have a Prescott.
dont change any settings in corecenter. everything is just fine there. i think it reports the temps a little higher than they actually are, but thats just my two cents. but 4400RPM is really fast! my CPU fan isnt reported to be faster than 2800 at most. still enough for my CPU.
no dude, everything is fine with your system. DDR400 memory goes in sync with FSB800 CPUs, such as the northy c versions.

  • Core center info

Can some one point me in the right direction for some user info for core center.
I did a test run last night and stopped it after it slowly turned my FSB up to 300mhz a 50% increase!!! So I turned it off quick!!
So if some one can point me in the right direction I would be very

I cicked on Auto and the FSB counter on the lieft sow moved up to 300 mhz the only other thing was the coloured 'bar' in the center moved from eft to right in each cycle then +1 added on to the FSB.
Do I have to enable core center in the bios for it to work????

  • K8t neo fis2r - core center not functional after installing sound card

Hi.  I had been using Core Center with Dynamic Overclocking enabled and all was well.  When idle, my amd64 3000+ (2.0ghz), was running at 800mhz.  Under load it would go up to 2100mhz.  But yesterday, I installed an Auzentech x-plosion sound card and after i installed the driver, the dynamic overclocking stopped working, my cpu is running at max all the time.  (The variable fan speed function still works).
I checked the IRQ and there is no conflict, I uninstalled the amd64 driver and core center and reinstalled.  Still does not work.  I uninstalled the auzentech driver, rebooted, and cancelled new hardware wizard.  Then the variable cpu frequency feature worked.  Once I install the driver for the auzentech, dynamic oc stops working.  I was thinking to try another pci slot but it appears to be a software issue rather than a hardware issue.  The new version of Core Center does not work with my board even though msi says it's compatible so I'm still using the one that always worked.  The amd driver is the latest and also always worked.
Has anyone else had a similar problem, perhaps using the auzentech sound card with this board and Core Center?  Or does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks!

Hey guys, I just went to AMDs site to get the dashboard utility mentioned and in the readme, it stated that in XP, the power option needs to be set to portable/laptop.  But in the past, I read that it needed to be set to "always on" and that it is, in fact, what I had it set to before when cool n quiet was working.  Now I change it to "portable/laptop" and it works and set to "always on" doesn't work anymore.  So now Core Center reports I'm at 33c @800mhz at no load.   I don't get it???  I'll have to try an alternate utility just to verify that is indeed working.
btw, QV, I checked system properties, (right-click my computer > properties, or "system" in control panel) and on the "general" tab, it indicates an AMD64 3000+, 2.0GHz.  But I'm pretty certain the clock frequency is dropping now as reported by core center because of the decrease in the cpu temp at idle.  Am I looking in the right place in XP?  I have XP pro, SP2
Again, thanks for the input and Happy New Year

  • Core Center wont show NB temp on K8N Neo2 Platinum

Is it just me or does core center not show my north bridge temp? i can control the fan speeds for the cpu and nb and it shows my cpu and system temp, but under my nb temp it doesn't show anything.
Is it because the board doesn't have a sensor for the north bridge? or is core center just screwing up??

  • Controlling fans with Core Center?

I feel such a fool, but I can't see any way of controlling fan speeds with MSI's Core Center?
The centre panel listss the CPU/NB temperature and fan speeds... if I click on the red arrow to the side of that, the extra panel that slides out simply gives me options on when the alarms should sound, based on either temperature or fan speed.
Am I meant to increase the fan speed by raising the minimum fan speed alarm threshold?  Not only is that a daft way of doing it, but it doesn't seem to have any effect...?

Why isn't there a fan control for the NB Fan? The stupid thing runs at 7000rpm (according to CoreCenter) I need to control it coz not only it makes so much noise but it is also damaged making the noise 10 times louder and I have no time to RMA the board.
Please....I need to control it manually or I'm going to shut it down completely (ripping the freakin thing of the board).......
While I dunno about your mbrd, the NB fans on a couple of MSI mbrds I've played with are just not really speed controllable.  With Speedfan, I can reduce the speed but below 90% or so, the fan starts to stall and then oscillates between nearly stopped and its max speed.  I have mine, on a K8N Neo2 Plat set to max speed of 95% and min of 90%, which reduces the noise a touch.
If it's getting noisy and looking like failing, email MSI tech support and tell 'em it's failing and you're experiencing hangs and reboots.  I had two mbrds I reported like this, which were behaving badly, and they sent me 3 new heatsink/fans.  Those new fans run a bit slower, max of ~6Krpm, and are smoother running.  If you do this, it's a good idea to register the mbrd with them and then in your email, give the serial no and your postal address.  I had my new fans in a week or so, with no hassle or telephone calls at all.

  • "Error in File : c:\DOCUME~1\ASPNET\LOCALS~1\Temp\temp_e9999.rpt; The request could not be submitted for background p

I have a legacy reporting system written in VB.net (2003).  (SQL Server backend)   (I have .Net 2005 on my PC).  The reporting system opens and generates the Crystal Reports.  In the past, the .rpt files could simply be updated and the users would see the new report.  None of the original developers are at this company anymore.
Here is what is going on...  I modified a report - saved it as a .rpt in CR XI.   When we placed it in the proper directory - a vague error message is generated stating: "Error in File : c:\DOCUME1\ASPNET\LOCALS1\Temp\temp_e999999999999999.rpt; The request could not be submitted for background processing."  (where 99999 = bunch of characters generated for storing the file.).
One strange thing is that this reporting system is running as a webservice on a webserver.  So, why is it trying to store anything on the C drive??  In addition, when I search for the file - it does not exist.
So.... I decided to try the least offensive thing - open a report that HAD been working - save it in a previous version (CR 10) and move that rpt into the proper 'production' folder.  Same error message/different temp file name.
I tried deleting crqe.dll from C:\WINDOWS\system32.  I thought that might be a problem - but I still get the same error.
I just don't know what to try next.  Any advice would really be appreciated.

The file that you are talking about is a temporary file that is generated while populating the report at clients side. This Temp file is used by Crystal to temporarily store data in it until the full report is ready to be displayed.
I am little confused as I am not sure if you are using VS2005 or VS2003 as VS2005 is not compatible with CR10. Is there any change made in the app or in server ?

  • I signed up for Games Center. How to un-sign and get my credit card info removed?

OK. I'm an idiot (with an IPad2).
I don't want to play games with other people but there was a chess board among the images for Games Center so I thought there was a chess program I could check out.
So now there is no point in me taking any risks and having my credit card info associated with Games Center, so how to I reverse my sign-up for games center and get my credit card info deleted?
I can't even find a way to edit the credit card info - and if I could I suppose they wouldn't accept a link to an incorrect number ...

We don't work for Adobe. We are just users.
You'll want to take this to the proper forum for that product at Adobe PDF Pack (read only)
    Good luck.

  • Can P4N Diamond core-center allow auto shut down if cpu temp hits 70*C?

I read the Core-Center will allow temp-based warnings and shut down.    Does that mean really it will shut itself down automatically if a tempo hits a certain level?    this would be a great feature
    thanks!

CoreCenter don't depend on it. Force shutdown PC is obsolete way, it cause you lose data, it's a idea. Forget about it. And forget about CoreCenter too. Let the Processor handle thermal itself.

  • Swipe for Notification Center and Control Center not working after using Window Zoom

I'm using iOS 8.0.2 on an iPhone 6 and have noticed that after using the Window Zoom (Accessibility feature 3-finger double-tap), I cannot swipe down for Notification Center nor swipe up for Control Center when unlocked (i.e. in Home screen or within an app screen). However, when the iPhone is locked, the swipe down for Notification Center and swipe up for Control Center is okay. It just doesn't work when unlocked. And the only way to rectify the problem is to reboot the phone.
    Has anyone else experienced this?

I have figured out the solution to all of our problems!!! We can keep the zoom function ON!!!! Yay!
Step one. Turn back on the beloved zoom function.
step two. Tap screen with 3 fingers.
step three. Select window zoom. (If already selected move on to step Quatro)
    step qautro. Select Resize lens.
and for the moment you've all be waiting for... Drum roll..
    the grand finale step. IS...
shrink the window to the smallest size.
AFter you have done these 5 steps, you can thoroughly enjoy having all three functions at once. If you switch back to Full Screen Zoom (if that be your preference) the notification and control centers will remain functional! Bon apetit!
i have been successful enlarging the window while keeping the centers functioning by making sure the window is in the shape of a square.
