[ REQUEST] Possibility of creating dedicated/separate SUB-FORUMS ??

Hello,
Just purchased the IdeaPad A2109 a couple of days ago and would like to suggest the creation of a dedicated/separate sub-forum for this great device..
Actually separating all the models in dedicated sub-forums should be the way of doing things...
This forum looks quite messy right now..

Could you add a link for Flash Builder and Flex SDK (Adobe Forums > Adobe Labs > Flash Builder and Flex SDK) to the Adobe Forums > Flex page?
I think the link would help with organization and less confusion to where the correct Flex 4/Flashbuilder forum is.

I think it would be better if we had one. Without suitable thread titles, it is highly possible to distract owners/users.
And surely they are totally different platforms, Hardware-Wise and Software-Wise.

What is going on with this? I just came back to the forums after several months, and the TPT2 and TPT threads being mixed makes the forum very onerous. Please separate them somehow.
Is the TPT getting so little support that even making the forums useful can't be done? Even an amateur webmaster would have seen this problem right away.

There is need for a separate sub-forum for Creative Cloud users.

i.e One for regular users of Lightroom and one for Lightroom users through the CC package.

I saw something similar at elementsvillage.com when they created a "Mac-Specific" forum. People who had questions that really had nothing to do with their Mac, for example "Can't open RAW from D7000", still put the question in the Mac-Specific forum, because they were using a Mac. As a result, the community was fragmented in ways that had nothing to do with the question. People who might have benefited from this question but didn't have a Mac and so didn't look in the Mac-Specific forum, and didn't get the answer as quickly. People who asked questions in this forum that had nothing to do with Macs wound up relying on a smaller community of experts to help solve the problem. I know I certainly never read that forum, so I didn't provide answers, nor did I learn from the information in that forum. I consider that decision to create a "Mac-Specific" forum to be a failure.

With only one computer and email address is it possible to create two separate itune accounts.

my husband and I each have Iphones but only one itunes account - this is causing problems in playing words with friends, etc. as it appears we need separate accounts. also when we sync our phones we both get all the same data and we really need separate data. how can we fix this

You can use one iTunes account as it sees each device separetly. I have my iPod, iPad, and iPhone all on one iTunes account without any problems.

Creating 2 separate libraries on the same computer

So my sister just got her first iPod (nano chromatic), I have had mine for two years (nano second generation). I would like to know if it is possible to create two separate libraries on the same computer. If someone could also please tell me how to do that, that would be awesome. Thank you all so much!

To create or access a second (or more) library, hold down the Shift key in Windows when launching iTunes. In the resulting dialogue you will get the option to create a new library or navigate to the other Library.
Note: You can only have one Library open at a time and iTunes will default to the last library opened if you don't use the keyboard command to choose one. This can prove tricky when using multiple iPods, if you don't use the keyboard command you can risk syncing to the wrong library: Using multiple iTunes libraries -Windows
Another option is to create a separate Windows User account for each person on your PC. Different accounts by definition would give you completely separate libraries. Each account has it's own iTunes folder, Library and iTunes Music folder and you load it with CDs etc just as you did with your original one. The iPod can be set to update however the owner chooses, sync all, manual or sync specific playlists

Separate ABAP sub-forum for ABAP HR developments?

Dear Moderators
Can we have a separate category under ABAP for ABAP-HR developments?
This would be helpful for many ABAP-HR issues to be addressed at the earliest and also search a solution in the relevent forums only.

Separate ABAP-HR Forum?
Moderators cannot decide that, it's up to SCN administrators. I believe they want to see enough demand for a sub forum before creating it, and no good arguments against.
Personally I'm undecided. We don't have sub-forums for all other SAP modules. I know HR/HCM is technically different in some ways, but don't know enough about it to really make a call.

The question came to mind is that if I am the father company of two child/sub companies and both these function under my company and the users of all the companies will have different SAP log in . But, I can I create a Main PRD client say 'PRD L1 and under this client I create PRD L2 and PRD L3.
Is that possible and seems logical?

Is there any way to UPDATE the XML file attached to a Data Definition (XML Publisher > Data Definition) using a standard package or procedure call or may be an API from backend? I am creating an XML dynamically and I want to attach it to its Data Definition programmatically using SQL.
Please let me know if there is any oracle functionality to do this.
If not, please let me know the standard directories on application/database server where the XML files attached to Data Definitions are stored.
For eg, /$APPL_TOP/ar/1.0/sql or something.

CHaRM-Is that possible to create multiple Transport Request in UC

HI Gurus,
Quick question on ur.gent correction using Solution Manager CHaRM in EHP1. Is it possible to create multiple transport request(TR) for single ur.gent correction (UC). DO NOT confuse with transport task.
For example, after I created transport request and developer start working and release the task, realised to add another transport request for same UC. When I tried, it did not create any TR but checked the message found that
Schedule Manager: Monitor
Job Status: Processing completed, but with warnings
Program Name: /TMWFLOW/SCMA_TRORDER_CREATE
Action to be checked: Ur.gent Correction: Create Transport Request
There is already an open request, XXXXXXXXXX, for this project
So only way I can do that I released the TR and able to create another TR.
May be wondering why I need to create another TR, why not create TASK and work on that.
But this is the requirement at our company.
I will appreciate the effort and time to provide me the solution of this.

Is it possible to create a new calendar that is SEPARATE from the main one?

I would like to create a separate calendar that has been adapted from my Main Calendar. I do not want all the details from the main one to show up on this newly created one. Is there a way to just Copy and then start Deleting events? When I try to do that it deletes from the Main Calendar (and I do not want that to happen).

I would like to give you a workaround for your problem.
If you have BO Server installed on your machine then do the following
-> Go to 'Central Configuration Mangager(CCM)'
-> Right Click on 'Server Intelligence Agent(SIA)' and click 'STOP' then
-> Double click on 'Server Intelligence Agent(SIA)'
-> Go to 'Configuration' Tab
-> Click 'SPECIFY' on 'CMS System Database Configuration' button then
-> Select any one of the 3 options(depending on ur requirement) and connect to ur Database (Firebird) by giving the credentials of ur database.
-> After doing all the necessary things Restart the SIA by clicking the buttion START on CCM and now check if u r getting Firebird database while creating a new connection.
This is just a workaround. I hope this would b helpful to you. Please try this and see if its useful to you.

I have an email address that was used on one Appleid account and I have now created a separate Appleid for another device. Is it possible to transfer that icloud email address to the new Appleid account?

Welcome to the Apple community 1960gmd.
Once an iCloud address is used for an Apple ID, you can't use it for any other.
Why would you want to use another Apple ID if you already have the address you want to use in another.
If you want your email on all devices but use a different ID for iCloud add it as a secondary account at settings > mail, contacts, calendars and just enable mail.

It is very easy to create an AppleID. In fact, it’s waay, waaaaay, waaaaaaaay too easy to create an AppleID. It then becomes almost impossible to keep track of them. We don’t know which AppleID is connected to iTunes, or the App Store, or mobile.me, or iCloud, or iPhone, or MacBook, or ...........
Apple suggests that your AppleID can be used everywhere, but they created a NEW ONE for me at the Apple Store when I bought my MacBookPro (Nov 2010). I believe (?) and signed up for mobile.me. In Feb 2011 I bought an iPhone 4, and set up a DIFFERENT ACCOUNT with the App Store.
Now I am trying to set up iCloud. So I migrate stuff from mobile.me; OK. Then I try to do Locate iPhone and it says Location Services is off. It is not off. iPhone receives Alarm message from iCloud. After playing with various AppleID combinations, iCloud still cannot find my iPhone, and now, it will no longer send an alarm to the phone.
*** The problem is, there doesn’t seem to be any logical process to work through any of these problems. And, if I understand correctly, deleting an AppleID that was used to purchase music, apps, etc., will ELIMINATE FOREVER my ability to access those items in the future.

Is it possible to programmatically replace a Sub Report in a crystal report

We create crystal reports via the crystal report designer (not in any IDE) , and attach the reports directly to the database via stored procedures. Each report contains a page header and a page footer with patient demographic data. We distribute these reports to our customers and they may edit the templates and alter the page header and page footers specific to their needs.
We are looking at using sub reports to build a "model" page header and page footer that would be inserted into each template at design time. What we would like to do is allow the customers to create their own sup reports to contain their custom page header / page footer and then programmatically replace the " model" sub reports with the custom sub reports. Please note that these sub reports would not contain any data access and would not be linked to the main report, rather the main report would assign the data that is displayed in the page header/page footer data to shared variables, and the sub reports would use the shared variables as their data source to display the data.
Is it possible to programmatically replace 1 sub report with another ? If so are there any code snippets to review -

Yes it is. Submit your post to which ever SDK you are using into the Developer forums. But search the posts first and look in our samples. This is relatively easy to do.

Yes. You'll need a video DVD authoring application like iDVD and an external optical drive. I suggest a 3rd party optical drive as the Apple Superdrive is limited to USB 2 which has rather slow through put. Get one with USB 3 or FW.
Export a slideshow out of iPhoto as a QT movie file via the Export button in the lower toolbar. For iPhoto 9.4.3 and earlier select Size = Medium or Large. For iPhoto 9.5 and later selct 480p. Open iDVD, select a theme and drag the exported QT movie file into the open iDVD window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Or open iDVD, select a theme, create a slideshow in iDVD and add the photos from iPhoto via the Media Browser in iDVD.
Follow this workflow to help assure the best quality video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
If iDVD was not preinstalled on your Mac you'll have to obtain it by purchasing a copy of the iLife 09 disk from a 3rd party retailer like Amazon.com: ilife 09: Software or eBay.com. Why, because iDVD (and iWeb) was discontinued by Apple over a year ago.
Why iLife 09 instead of 11?
If you have to purchase an iLife disc in order to obtain the iDVD application remember that the iLife 11 disc only provides themes from iDVD 5-7. The Software Update no longer installs the earlier themes when starting from the iLIfe 11 disk nor do any of the iDVD 7 updaters available from the Apple Downloads website contain them.
Currently the only sure fire way to get all themes is to start with the iLife 09 disc:

You then can upgrade from iDVD 7.0.3 to iDVD 7.1.2 via the updaters at the Apple Downloads webpage.
There are simpler (in features) video DVD authoring applications available from the App Store.
