Request still running but?

Hi,
My request is running , but in the data target the request is set to green why?
give me the solution
and am not able to see the data in the data target
data is there in PSA

Hi Ravi,
Please check with the Tcode -SM37 whether your job is complete or not.
If Your job is not complete then you are unable to see the data .
If your job is complete and request is still running then kindly check the log of the you job in sm37 only from that you can come to the detail that why the status is green and the request is still running.

Hi Expert,
I did extract data for SAP HR Recruitment from source system (SAP R/3) to Cube in BW 7.0, when I ran the InfoPackage, the message always with status "Request still running" (detail message --> missing message: Number of send message) until few hours, no data extracted to PSA.
But the problem only in 0APPLICANT (text and attributes) datasource, no problem found in the others Recruitment datasources.
I've to DataSource replication, delete/re-create infopackage, re-arrange transformation. And I've check source system using RSA3 and Applicant data available in the source system.
I've check using SM50, the process always running but never finish (status always Yellow).
Is there any solution for this problem ?

Hi....
Have you checked the extraction job in the Source System ...........copy the request number ......go to the source system...........SM37......put *REQXXXXXXX........check whether the Job got completed or not.....
Also , In the IP Monitor screen....in the Menu Bar ---> Settings --> Evaluation of requests (Traffic Lights) --> For the option " If no data is available in the system the request "......you should select "Status Successful".....by default it will be "Status Successful" only...until and unless someone change it manually....
Also check for short dump and TRFC..........in both source system and data ware house.........in the Menu Bar --> Environment.......there you will get all the options....
To check the Short Dumps.........you have search for the Request Number.....if it is there it means load went to short dump........
If TRFCs are stucj press F6 to push it........
After that also if it doesn't progress....it means it went to dump.....then change the stsus to red manually and repeat the load......

Request still running no idocs are arrived into BI

Hi Experts,
I'm working on EHP1[BI 7.01] and trying to load the data from R/3 system with generic data source. The records are updated in PSA[data source] and which is showing "12:25:21 ( 15 From 0 Records ) " and with yellow status with the below information.
Request still running
Diagnosis
No errors found. The current process has probably not finished yet.
System Response
The ALE inbox of BI is identical to the ALE outbox of the source system
or
the maximum wait time for this request has not yet been exceeded
or
the background job has not yet finished in the source system.
Current status
No Idocs arrived from the source system.
I checked different threads relating to this issue with different solutions like checking WE20, BD87, tRFC etc., but still i'm unable to resolve this.
This is very urgent issue could anyone please help me in resolving this issue..

I mean.. Once u press Source system.. it will ask u for the ID and PWD.. once u give that.. it will ask for the data range .. by default it will be todays date as ur has started today only.... and then execute...
it will take u to SM58 screen.. there u just see the status of the different IDOC entries... if u can see the Executed as status then u can press F6 to push it to BW..
If u see the status as Executing then u need to wait as the operation is still running....
.. In practive if u feel that this load is taking long time compared to the actual.. then u can go ahead with the the repeat of the load by killing the present load in the source system.. and removing the bad req from the ur target..

Firefox is still running but does not show up in "task master" so it can be closed down and re-started?

1. Sometimes Firefox displays a message "Firefox is still running" but there is no evidence that this is true.
2. But, Firefox does not show up in "control-alternate-delete" to bring up Task Master in Windows 7.
3. There does not seem to be any means to stop Firefox and to re-start Firefox without a complete Re-start of the PC.
4. The mouse still works and the PC responds but there is no response from Firefox except the message "Firefox is still running..... etc.
5. How to stop Firefox, shutdown Firefox without a complete reboot/restart?

Way too complicated to solve the problem of "firefox is already running ....etc." and there must be a more simple solution to this problem which occurs once in awhile.
It seems to me that Mozilla developers can find a better solution and one that allows control-alternate-delete to fix the problem.
Otherwise, it is just resort to the old reboot solution.

External Simpledrive is still running but not working?

I hear and feel that the harddrive is still running, but I can't access the harddrive or anything on it. I need to know how to work it again without uninstalling it because it has a ton of stuff I need on it!

Have you tried accessing the device? On your windows screen, press start -> run. From here, type in the drive (d:// or e://). If the drive is still installed correctly, the next screen should display your drive and its contents. I hope this helps!

DB backup still running, but in DB13 already status "Finished with errors"

firstly, I am not regular DB administrator, so please be patient with me.
On 5.4.2010, 20:00 started on our server regullary planned online complete DB backup. Now (runing for more than 39 hours - DB size is only 300GB and last time, when it successfully finished, it takes less than 12 hours) I see in DB13 this backup with status "Finished with errors", but in SM37 this job is still with status "Active" so it seems to be running. On HDD where backup should be stored is created file with size 0 B. In job protocol and program protocol are only standard messages, nothing indicates that there is any error. OS is Windows Server 2008.

so it is still active. But when i launched DB50, there appears popup with question

when i choose Yes, alerts are displayed, and there are some records like this

And also I have found another strange issue - although file with DB backup has still 0 B, free space on that HDD is still shrinking, but no sizes of directories are increasing... in numbers - all files on that HDD (including hidden and system files) have 663 GB, but in properties of this HDD is that 1.06 TB is used - so the difference is cca 400GB (what is 2x more than previous complete DB backup and +100GB to actual DB size...).

M-bdoc is still running but is ok!!!!

What you need is not a delta load, but only a complete re-load of the whole customer data of which the adress is an important part of it. You might want to have a look at the request functionality which downloads BP data (adress / adrc table included) and other objects as you configure it. It can be found right next to the definition and download of standard (initial or synchronizing) downloads.

i found the new record on BUT000CRM, and the transaction SMW01 says that the process is ok,
but on the transaction R3AM1 i read that the bdoc is still running...from yesterday....
can anybody help me??

Hello,
please check transactions SMQ1 and SMQ2 on CRM side and SMQ1 on R/3 side. Maybe you'll find there some hanging BDOCs.

OPMN service still running but Essbase is not

I have had a few cases of recursion causing Essbase to crash, but the OPMN service still says it's running in the services monitor. Any clues why? Reason I ask is that we have taken the trouble to monitor (and be notified of failures) all Hyperion services. I do know I can address the recursion issue by changing essbase.cfg, but I actually prefer to address each issue as it arises.

Thanks for the quick reply John. My issue is not getting it back up and running, but more so not being aware that the service isn't running. I know that's a bit anal, but we've gone through the trouble of setting up "watches" on all Hyperion services to be a bit proactive and would like to see tangible results for those efforts. As it stands now we are made aware when stuff stops working, sometimes through communications from our users.

Request status is in Red, where as message is "Request still running"

In my production system, one data load showing red as status,while in status tab tab it is giving message that request is still running.
Please give me your valuable suggestions, why it is showing linke that and my next steps in this case.

Hi,
It might have occure because of Time out.Your Bw system is still searching for the request while the request already got loaded virtually.
Just try to do a repeat if possible.

One conc request is still running, it should be in completed in couple minutes.
When i checked it's parent request, it is in Phase:Running Status:Paused state.

Please verify that there are no locks in the database from the backend.
When i checked it's parent request, it is in Phase:Running Status:Paused state. This is an expected behavior if the child process is still running.

My pc tells me Firefox is still running - but I can't see it running. I have to shut down my pc and start re-boot WinXP

I thought I had Firefox running while I was doing something else on the internet. A message came up to say Firefox is still running so I should shut Firefox down (which I couldn't do because I couldn't see it running and it also said if that didn't work to re-boot the pc.

I am not certain what causes this but you merely need to find and stop the process ''firefox.exe'' you can do that in XP by using key combination Ctrl+Alt+Tab [ or right click your task bar] to get '''task manager'''

After closing the firefox browser of new 4.0 it hangs and says its still running but no browser is visable, XP on 3.6 didnt have the issue ..so whats up???

Open browser then close no browser is open and then click to re-open the browser it says it is still running and cannot get another browser for about a 45 sec....have Windows XP and didn't have the issue on 3.6 version.

When I resume my laptop from sleep/hiberante, firefox is hung. It will prompt me with a dialog when I quit, so it is still running, but the page display is blank and will not refresh. I noticed this since about beta 7

Firefox is running when my laptop comes out of system standby, but the page that was displaying when the laptop went into sleep mode is now a white canvas that does not refresh.
The application is not hung, because I get prompted to save tabs when I quit, but for some reason, I can't prompt Firefox into refreshing the screen.
I'm running Firefox on a Thinkpad T400 which has Intel 4 series Express integrated Graphics.

This also happened if the network adapter is disabled then enabled. My computer is Windows 7 x64. Firefox needs to be killed from taskman before it will load a new instance of the application. I can also reproduce with all add-ons disabled.

Messed up all my production applications, still running but ....

I was consolidating apps and building several orchestrations into one application, I was done with one and used the "move application" option of one orchestration to free up an application slot (running the 2010 standard version and I
can only actually used 4 applications) to install the new consolidated version - Everything went great, it's been running in production for over two weeks without issues.
I am finishing testing a second consolidated application and started to free another slot but when I used the "Move application" option artifacts from all the applications were moved, I did not reviewed what was going to be moved and
I guess that because there where EDI references on all the apps it moved everything to one application.
Everything appears to be running fine, being following tracked messages and monitoring the system and it doesn't seem to be affected by having pieces (artifacts) from one application combined with others on another application.
My question: Short of restoring the BT databases is there anything that I can do to undo my bad, also, can it be confirmed that all orchestrations that reference EDI are affected when using the "Move Application" in this manner.
One other question: If I where to restore db's, which ones would be required? msxbox, ruleseng, mgmtdb? All? Including BAM?

OK, so on you're 'other question'. You cannot just restore one database, you must restore ALL BizTalk databases, together, using the backups and tlogs produced by the BizTalk backup job that ships with BizTalk. You are running this job and have
these files right? ;) This job is off by default. That may change your plan / options. If you just restore one BT database I think you'll break BizTalk. The stuff you changed is technical in the management database, but the subscriptions
are all in the message box.
About the move itself. I wouldn't worry too much. BizTalk is actually a global catalog - the applications exist to make our lives easier - internally it's all one big entity: the group. I would just keep things where they are, or move your
EDI stuff only back out and into the EDI application. All your other applications that had references to EDI will already not have references to whatever this new super app you've created is. Check them to see for yourself. It's really no
big deal.
